Extremely poor communication. Lost my cooktop, lost a replacement filler that needs to be replaced because of defect. They sent us a different cooktop and we had to loose an entire drawer to accommodate it. Still waiting on a resolution on the filler from them after 9 months. We heard great things but we did not experience any of them. I do NOT recommend them.

Dave Mey was incredibly helpful at finding a replacement microwave (I bought my original microwave there some 18 years ago). When he didnt have the one I needed, he pointed me in the right direction of finding it, even though it was at a different business. Dave truly wants the customer to be happy and is willing to go above and beyond to make that happen. Highly recommended!

After spending nearly $40,000 on Thermador appliances we have continued to be very disappointed. Weve had the repair company out to our home 6 times and Ive waited for a call back from Dorothy for over 2 weeks! Very disappointed and I would not recommend this company or Thermador!

We just finished a kitchen remodel at our house. They went above and beyond not only throughout the process but even after the job was done on multiple occasions. The owner is a first class man who personally delivered one of the accessories we ordered for our gas cooktop to my house on a Friday night on his way home from work. I highly recommend them. They are honest, fair and aim to please their customers!!

Debbie in particular has been amazing on following up and making sure the equipment received is working. Waited almost 6 months for my range . They delivered it on Friday and when my installers went to put it in the kitchen, they noticed it was damaged. It looked like it was dropped. We had already donated our existing oven and are now on a frantic search to find another one since Specialties Showroom did not have a replacementNever will I buy something from there and if u read this review I hope u have other options then buying from Specialities Showroom

Not an honest store. Not even close.Bought Bosch fridge in June.On the delivery dayInstaller from SSdid not show up. .No phone call.No apology.Nothing.Tried again in JULY.In JULY -- SS damaged our ceilingremoving previous fridge.Then, Bosch was delivered andinstalled ($400).New Bosch broke 13 days later.Ken Goss, the owner,promised replacement.An Empty promise.He is not a manof his word.After waiting a more than a month,he said he would not exchange.When I threatened to take him toSMALL CLAIMS COURT --so Ken Goss couldtell his lies to a judge --he refundedthe money and hidunder his desk.Today is Dec.15.Fridge is STILL dead.Refund on dead fridge means nothing.Bosch wont exchangeuntil they try to repair.Have beenwaiting for repairmanand Bosch parts for months.SS needs to be revealedfor what it really is: a scam.Bait and switch.Meaning: They haveNO customer service.They do notback up what they sell.They say they will.But they dont.They have salesmen -Rysdorp and Kellogg-- who cantand will nothelp customers to whom they have solda FAULTY Bosch fridge.One more thing:On my receipt -- the salesman,wrote that I was G and H remodeling company.I told Mr. Kellogg, the salesman,he made a mistake.I asked why he wrote it?Kellogg said he has to write G and H remodeling companyto keep the owner happy.Kellogg told me store wasNOT ALLOWEDto sell to general public.Very fishy.It was another lie.My next stops, are Dana Nesselsconsumer affairs office,Then: Help Me Hank on Channel 4..Specialties ShowroomThis store needs to be exposedfor being unprofessional and dishonestin this sale.IF you shop here,you are playing with fire.IMO: These are nothonest people.They wasted a lot of my time.They do not exhibit decencyor concernfor the customer.The owner,Mr. Goss,CAN NOT BE TRUSTED.The installer, Jerrys installation,is connected to the store.Good luck with Jerrys installation.7 months have been wastedbecause of Specialties Showroom.Specialties Showroomis a nightmare.Dont make the mistakeof buyingfrom them.AVOID.

Tim has been very helpful on numerous occasions over past 10 years. He understands the products, which is way better than big box. I have sent others to him, and they said the same thing. Prices similar to elsewhere, except he got me a Bosch dishwasher at a good price because we have a Wood cabinet panel on it, and they specialize more custom.

After having a nightmare experience with Best Buy, I was referred by a contractor to Specialties Showroom. Jim Rysdorp was so helpful and professional. He came to my home and double checked measurements before placing the order for my appliances. I believe I got reasonable prices. I now have beautiful appliances and Im so pleased with them. The installer, worked hard and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend Specialties Showroom to anyone in search of new appliances. They really are top-notch.

I ordered a fridge here, approximate price $3,000. I had the option of ordering online and saving a few hundred dollars but decided to support a local brick-and-mortar establishment. The purchase included delivery and installation and I had provided pictures of the water line and had confirmation that they understand what is there and what is needed to complete the install. When the installer arrived, he acted like he didnt know anything about the installation and was surprised that a plastic pipe was required. He made me go to the hardware store and pay for the additional parts, then he set up the fridge and left. An hour later my kitchen was flooded. I placed 3 phone calls to the store and sent an email to my salesperson and nothing was done to correct the situation.In summary, I was forced to take a trip to the hardware store, pay a second time for materials that I had already paid for, and was left alone with a flooded kitchen and a faulty installation job to fix by myself.Bad behavior by this vendor.

Highly recommended. The attention and service in the sales department was great. Aftermarket attention was even better. We had some issues with product and the customer service representative, Dorothy, was on top of it and followed up with phone calls to check that we were not only satisfied but happy with the service. Dorothy took the time to come to our house and explain and demonstrate correct usage of appliances we purchased. Better than having a product information book or a tutorial DVD.

Best place in SE Michigan to buy appliances. Great selection, knowledgeable sales staff, beautiful showroom and wonderful customer service. Dorothy went above and beyond regarding a service issue, in which we ended up receiving a replacement refrigerator secondary to quality issues from the manufacturer. Highly recommend.

I just had the most perfect experience with Specialities. I bought a service contract with them and had a real run-around with the service person. To begin with, he wanted me to take the oven out of the wall. Dorothy , Eddie and Ken said this was crazy and after much ado, they got out a service person, paid for the parts themselves and left me out of the battle. I could not have hoped for better service and certainly find them to stand behind anything they sell, including service contracts. Believe me, they are my only go-to business for appliances.

Recently bought refrigerator from them. Sales rep Fred not well informed about products and rebates offered, Delivery was delayed as promised, installers were in rush to bring in refrigator and leave without making sure if installed properly: had no respect for customers house, was placed in a situation to specifically ask to fix installation, promise to switch credit card charge before delivery was denied afterwards as agreed. I had made very specific that Im looking for a reliable service before placing order. Drove extra miles after looking at the rating online however didnt experience as rated and very disappointed. My experience was not pleasant with them after I had already placed the order.

Mixed experience: when we bought some appliances they gave us enough options and we were serviced ok . But later when we ordered a sink ( a smaller deal ) they were very unprofessional ignoring us and finding that the prepaid order was not even processed after many weeks . We thought it was one time issue and something slipped , but even after calling and being reassured that they would send us the sink we continued to face indifference. We ended up cancelling the order because they could not tell us when they will be able to deliver the merchandise. I dont think I will shop there again .

We purchased a Wolf stove over 6 months ago. At the time we were promised a wok. Do to the prolonged delivery time of our Wolf stove a grill pan was also thrown in. We are still waiting on the wok and the grill pan.Despite numerous requests to call us back we have received only the wok grill. We have been working with Dave on this and I must say he has been trying to obtain the remainder of our promised extras; even dropping the wok grill off at our home. Despite numerous calls ot him he has returned only 2-3 calls. Nice but no results. GERRRR!

Purchased over $25,000 in Thermador appliances for a complete kitchen renovation last winter and took delivery in March. Since then I have received NO service after the sale and its October. We have had promises after promises that an installer would be sent to follow-up on one thing...changing the fridge door hinges to open the opposite side. Something discussed at the time of purchase. Too many calls with David to even remember and even one with the owner. What we did receive was an emailed set of instructions on how to do it ourselves! Changing the Thermador industrial style hinges requires removing the stainless door skin. Not for the DIYer in my opinion. Whatever you might save on the purchase, you will loose out on with no service after the sale. Plus, weve been waiting since March for a replacement griddle that the paint is chipped off of. Worst service follow-up ever to point that its a joke. Guess Ill call David again and ask about getting that door hinge changed...UPDATE 12/21/2015:About a month ago, the owners personally took charge and actually participated in changing the fridge door orientation! It took three guys! They also had the griddle replaced, and covered a service repair on the beverage fridge for icing. They were very apologetic about the delays and promised to make things right. When working with Specialties, go through their dedicated customer service for these things as opposed to relying on your sales person. Also, retailers DO read Google Reviews!

Above and beyond. I met Dorothy at a company event this morning and mentioned that my 8 year old Wolf range was acting tempermental - just a few hours later I received a call from the Wolf rep asking if they could come out and see if they could fix the problem, even though it is out of warranty. I didnt even buy from Specialties, but you can bet my next appliance will be from there!

Really should have read the reviews before ordering my oven through this company. Told 2 weeks, now 5 and no response from my sales person. Looks like I have to cancel and go with someone else like these other people on here. Go somewhere else for your appliances, PLEASE

Extremely disappointed with the service. Expected the appliance last Wednesday/Thursday. Its Monday afternoon and yet no response, other than we dont know yet. On top of it the salesperson, let it slip that there was another order for the same. Makes you wonder, whether the two deliveries got mixed up!
