This place had a bad vibe. The employees seemed to not like each other, lots of bickering. Im happy my friend found a hat that he liked, even though there was little help from the staff.

Gentleman was great. Lady at counter needs some personal communication skills. Giving it a 5 cause lots of options to choose from. Good selection. Prices where competitive. Its hard to run a specialty business.

Best hat shop ever! AMAZING selection, very friendly staff. Pretty much any thing you can think of they have, from church hats, fedoras, wigs, gloves, funny glasses and mustaches to nice high-end dress hats. A family-owned business thats been around for over 30 years, they are my go-to place for anything dress up!

This place has a really extensive and interesting collection of hats at affordable prices. The people there are friendly and helpful, without being pushy. I especially like their selection of baseball caps, many different colors with good quality construction and at very good prices.

What a cool little hat shop. This place is small but gas a huge selection of hats. Bought a couple Irish wool caps here. They also sell on line but theres nothing like being in the shop, seeing the selection, and trying things on. Best hat shop in the Bay Area, no doubt.

Best range and selection. Forget outdoor generalists, they just don’t have the same stock. And when it comes to hats and sizes, you must try.Staff are friendly and offer to help. But quite frankly they don’t really know. So if you know what you want, it is best to ask them to leave you alone.

My brother is a had enthusiast. His birthday is coming up this weekend and I googled a place nearby. The internet brought me here and it worked out very well. I showed them some pictures of hats my brother had, so they could see what he liked to collect, and they showed me things along the lines of his taste. I got him a few things. This store sells anything from Burning Man goggles and eccentric headwear, to half a wall full of newsboy caps and driver caps, to 40s ladies turbans, to beanies, berets and giant Kentucky Derby hats. Great place to get stuff for costumes or for daily wear. Make sure to block off at least a half an hour to try on many hats before you find just the right one.

They have an amazing selection and incredible staff. Every time I come here I buy a new hat, and even got two colors of the same style because it looks so good on me. I wouldnt have found that style were it not for their staff, so I thank them immensely!

My company was having a themed costume event and not only was I able to find a great hat for myself that I can re-use in the future, but I was able to get some cheap hats for other people I work with as well. Sales staff was really knowledgable and helpful.Youre not going to find a better place to buy hats.

This is the best hat store in the country.The owners have ordered special non wool hats for me at a incredible prices for 15 years now.The owner even walked me around the neighbor hood and retrieved my lost cell phone from me when i dropped it near their store.Other stores with good inventory charge much more for the same hats.The owners are the true geniuses of the hat business...Yes they are new york city geniuses with a little N.Y.C attitude but if you want exceptional variety at great prices ...you will always have to treat geniuses with the respect that goes with that territory.Please treat these folks well...We need more dedicated providers like them.and less sweet talkers who dont get the job done

This place is amazing! They have SOOO many hats in such a small store. They sell just about every hat you can think of: top hats, bowlers, fedoras, irish caps, church hats, costume hats, etc.I have been coming here for years and it is my go-to place for costume accessories. Lots of great burner stuff like wigs and goggles. The staff is very nice and helpful. This is one of the hidden jewels that makes Berkeley what it is.

Many hats and headbands really pleased with my order.The knit headbands were a little small however I was more than pleased with my Derby sun hat😘

Ordered a hat online for the derby. Doesnt look anything like the one in the picture. I thought what I was ordering was navy, along with others who saw the picture, and it was actually black. Overall dimensions of the hat are not the same either. Wish I could return it.

The store is dark, and small, but it is full from floor to ceiling with different types of hats. Winter hats, sun hats, fedoras, fascinators... all the hats.

I went in here 21 years ago. There was the koolest older man of great carector behind the counter. I went in that shop at least 20 times over the next 6 years to find my husband the perfect Chapo. I finally had the money to really finally get the koolest hat, from the koolest Hat Man!!! The hat is still as it was when I got it!!! If only the koolest Hat Man was. He wares it all the time. Thank you so much Hat Man !! Now Im looking forward to my koolest Chapo ! Ive gotten many hats since. Now Im looking for a Chapo. Theres only one place to find the koolest Chapo. Thanks again!!!!
