After having a good service by a kind staff, I became annoyed by an email from Office Depot about my customer rating. (See the 2nd paragraph.) Apparently, Office Depot tries to control customer rating by a passive aggressive email. I completed the survey because I liked the person who helped me. 8/10. I rarely give 10/10. Rating is subjective. How dare you try to control how customer rates you? The following is the exact copy and paste from the email. So be aware of this when you rate them.Thank you for sharing your recent experience at our store. We sincerely appreciate your feedback unfortunately an 8 gets graded by our company as a failed store experience and negatively goes against our customer service rating. In this case although thoughtful you unintentionally hurt the associate who helped you during your visit. We hope to retain you as a valued client and earn the right to receive a 9 or 10 from you in the future.

I dont recommend this place to anyone, poor service I made a purchase, paid for it and it didnt come as I asked and no one helped me!

He helped us with every step of the way with purchasing several things for a home office for two professionals. Jimmy was friendly and warm, and his very demeanor made the process easier. Navin helped check out our large order efficiently. A great experience overall. A+ service.

The staff here has been nicer and more accommodating of my random office supply needs than any other office depot or staples or other spot in legit the entire East Bay. From the folks who pick up the phone to the people running the register, to shift managers, I have consistently been impressed and pleasantly surprised. Credit where credit is due. When I need to buy multiple white boards, oversize printer paper, or whatever else my esoteric office or artistic needs are that pop up, I always look forward to my trips here.

All we wanted was a decent office chair to replace the defective chair we purchased here a month ago. They would not attempt to fix it, as over 30 days had passed, so we decided to simply purchase a new one.We were repeatedly pointed to a selection of chairs that we were informed we could take home as-is. However, each time we chose one of the items in question, we were informed (after a wait) that said item was unavailable for one reason or another. We were ultimately told that, in fact, only a cheap mesh-back chair was available for us.We were then told that they could not spend any more time on us, as it was now close to closing time, and told us to leave.We are not difficult customers, and we came in happy to spend money and with a simple request (a chair). We left frustrated and without making any purchase.This store has been our go-to for many years, and we have been valuable customers. We will no longer shop here.

The people working there do not know what they are doing and are unhelpful to the point of being rude. Whoever is training the employees is doing a bad job.

Its not fun to break headphones. You would think so but its not. The little birds get no joy out of it when they stopped to get the pencils at the chair store. It was very sad.

Parking lot in front is convenient and I always get the services or items that I need at a reasonable price. Staff hustles between printing, shipping and retail - doing a good job. Of course, it helps if customers are patient with short wait.

Staff are very devoted and friendly. Chose pick up a chair and it worked extremely smooth when we got in the store. Would love to recommend to friends.

Love that you can drop off USPS packages here! Always very quiet place with lots of deals. Limited parking.

Most of the time at least one of my items was not available when I chose store pick up so its a little annoying. Some floor staff used to follow me like I was going to steal something -_- so annoying get out of my face... s5-Stars for Victor who is usually working in the copy/print side! He is one of the reason I havent gone to staples and rate them this high, he has amazing customer services friendly and bilingual and always has great answers. Whenever I have an idea of what I need but not exactly sure of the exact product he always points me in the right direction and I end up very happy with the products he recommends.If you need help ask for Victor.Other than that, it is disappointing to walk in to this store when Victor is not there to help.

Always bad. Prices too high, product selection extremely poor, staff ignorant, product quality unbelievably bad. Latest and last encounter with this miserable place, after waiting more than five minutes in checkout line, they would not sell me the three ring binders I had taken from the shelf. The stated reason: they were part of a six binder set they would not break up.

Pretty standard store. Typical Depot. Staffing seems a bit thin, but that is usually how the company seems to be these days

The slowest service at the copy counter Ive ever witnessed. Makes the DMV look good. Employees appear to be stuck in some kind of alternate reality slow-motion time-loop.

Some of the staff comes across as discriminating. Only greet or acknowledge you if you are of a certain race.

I have been extremely pleased by Office Depots printing assistance. Many times, Im not sure how my jpgs will look enlarged, and these folks have worked with me to find the best solution.

Its office depot.. I feel the same way about office depot as I do about Radio Shack, its a company that just needs to die already... It exists due to inefficiency.

Smaller, super efficient version of the larger chain. Unlike other branches, this one is rarely crowded, so you can be in and out in minutes for that ink cartridge, or sheaf of paper.

They treat reward members well.

Seems understaffed towards the end of the day so it takes a long time to get rung up -- especially frustrating when youre just running in to get one thing! Staff are decently helpful, however.

Real bad service ...i looked online for shoe polish and said it was in the store.but when i went down to the store they told me in the face they dont carry it.....did not even bother to look i said online ur website tells me that u have it in stock......long story short they carried it but didnt care about the customer service......never going back

Functional, lots of product but not a great range of choices. Service is perfunctory, and staff not super knowledgeable.

I went in to have some copies printed from a thumb drive.I did not check the print before I left they printed the wrong ones I had to go back and have them printed again
