I have been working with the BDC for over 25yrs. They remodeled my deck, my kitchen and 4 bathrooms. Twenty five yrs later they all look as good as new. The material and craftsmanship was outstanding. The service was outstanding.

Working with Roxy and Ross was a pleasure. My refurbish was completely unexpected and they were extremely knowledgeable, personable, ordered and installed my new Marmoleum floor as quickly as was possible and were there every step of the way to touch base, answer concerns and questions. I highly recommend the Berkeley Design Center and will definitely use them again!

Sinan is extremely detail oriented and creative. He will really listen to your input and come up with creative ideas and execution to achieve your construction needs. I have loved working with him for several decades over many projects in my home and office building.

Roxie was extremely responsive and thorough from lending us materials to giving us design feedback, to getting quotes for materials, finalizing purchases and lining up installers. Their efforts contributed to an incredibly smooth construction schedule and great final project. And, their estimates were reasonable. I highly recommend working with the Berkeley Design Center!

Eight years ago, Berkeley Design laid a beautiful linoleum floor in our condominium. Recently, our clothes washer leaked, ruining sections of the floor near the washer. Berkeley Design moved rapidly to identify matching sections of the linoleum and sent an excellent team to replace the ruined floor with new sections that matched the existing floor perfectly. A five star effort for which I am most thankful.

We have visited several times over the years and due to one reason or another never found exactly what we needed until this time. While working on a renovation project requiring some new flooring tile plans we visited BDC and met with Sinan (the owner) after a few more visits, samples and A+ input from Sinan to help us we purchased our new flooring from BDC and the entire process was fun and easy. Sinan helped us track the shipment and even when the shipper broke a few boxes Sinan helped us get new ones ASAP incredibly easy and low stress. Sinans advice was helpful in narrowing down our selections and ensuring things like lighting, grout, and other things were factored into our entire plan. I really appreciate the Berkely Design Center, their service and what they have to offer. I had been hunting for weeks (pulling my hair out) for the perfect tiles and finally got in there to see what they had. What took me so long is my schedule wasnt always compatible with their open times. However, their selection is superb, Roxy and the owner are always very helpful and it was very easy to get what I needed once I found the right items. Roxy went above and beyond to get me a very special tile and I will say it is perfect. (I would only suggest they might consider being open til 6 pm or being open on Sunday for a few hours.)

Design (e.g., the architecture part) is as important to me as construction (e.g., the contractor part). Having both sets of kills in the same team is a real asset.Sinan and his team have done 2 projects at my house (kitchen, additional bathroom). Both times, they offered practical, well-designed, and affordable solutions that respected the integrity of my house. They pay attention to details and are a pleasure to work with.I have been pleased by the results and plan to use them again in my next remodeling project.

Sinan Sabuncuoglu/Berkeley Design Center/DEVCO designed a major remodel of our single family dwelling in Palo Alto in 1998. The project enlarged our home from approximately 1,400 square feet to 2,500 square feet and resulted in a fantastic light and airy space with eight new skylights, glass block walls, stainless steel railings, and maple built-ins throughout. We have been extremely pleased with the architectural changes and the quality of construction, which was also carried out by DEVCO . The house has been updated three times since then by Sinan/Berkeley Design Center,/DEVCO, -- once about 10 years ago, a new kitchen about four years ago (kitchen wasnt touched in the initial remodel), and a recent minor update (yard landscape lighting) in 2018. We love living in this space.

Berkeley Design center has done two full bathrooms starting from the bare studs. Reconfigured our master bedroom, master closets and master bath. They have also done a complete kitchen remodel that includes a very creative sky light.They are not only licensed contractors but licensed architects. The design and execution of the plan reflects the blending of the two skill sets. There is a sense of esthetics, practicality, functionality and attention to detail that makes the final project exceptional.This is an established business that acts as an established business. They have an extensive showroom to display the top quality manufactures that they use. The work is performed in a timely professional manner that reflect long standing relationships with their suppliers and subcontractors.I would reccomend Berkely Design Center for all your construction and remodel needs They are truely professionals and a pleasure to work with. I will be working with them in the future.

Please beware of this operation! I have been to BDC many times over the years. I do not know when Sinan began handling their work, but I trusted that it was a reputable place and that he was a reputable dealer.I had BDC/DEVCO install a very large window, several smaller ones, and a sliding glass door in our home. We had installed windows just like these in other areas of our home before without incident, so did not anticipate any problems. It seemed like a simple, straightforward project.While we were on vacation, the windows went in. When we returned, to our disbelief, they had completely jerri-rigged some strange way of installing the windows and they were horrible! I called Sinan. He came over and gave us some far-fetched reason as to why these windows had to be installed in this manner--differently from all of the others, and why the resolution to the problem would entail removing all of our mouldings, the window sill, and a number of other things that made no sense.Our painter came in, took one look at the windows and couldnt believe it. He offered to reinstall the window. I called Sinan. He said to tell the guy that if he thought he could do it to go ahead. The painter removed the windows and the rigging that Sinan had installed and put the window in. No big deal, no need to do all the things that Sinan was telling us we had to do, and the window looks great.I deducted the amount the painter charged me for the reinstallation from the final amount paid to Sinan. Sinan agreed to the amount. We paid him the full amount less the amount of the reinstallation even though we still have the other smaller windows that he installed that have been put in in the same shoddy way.Today we just received a letter from Sinan threatening us with a Contractors Lien if we do not give him the balance of the money. My first read of this experience was that the contractor was sadly incompetent. Now I realize that he is also unscrupulous. Beware!!!!!
