I had a great visit here! They have a good variety of beers and I enjoyed all of the ones I tried. The taproom has a nice, chill atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful! We had a flight of beers to taste and some light appetizers and I thought prices were very reasonable for the area of Berkeley we were in and for the quality of the food and beer. They also have some nice merch would be great gifts or souvenirs for travellers. I would definitely visit again, and I recommend it for beer lovers in the area!

The most relaxed bar in the Bay Area Ive patronized. Always enjoyable. Surprisingly good selection of food and snacks. Diversity of beers on tap beyond that of whats on shelves.

Sierra Nevada is a great local beer to the Bay Area with somewhat of an environmental conscience but this pub os located in the posh area of Berkeley… I can’t believe the community allows this expensive, somewhat pretentious, outdoor mall-like city streets… The pub has priceyand limited selection of finger foods albeit they are quality snacks. Brie and fig toast with tomato soup was really good but portion is small and price is high $15 (I am sure it’s because rent mist be high in this new part of Berkeley). I say avoid this area if you want to ‘feel’ Berkeley but if you are there and hungry (like I was) this is not a bad place to snack. Beers not disappointing: Hazy Little Thing 9% fruity, refreshing, not hoppy LUV it and Narwhal dark beer, rich taste LUV IT too.

Cool vibe, nice chance to try some smaller batch and different style beers from a legendary brewery. No food when I went (Saturday night) but there was a food truck parked out front. Location was a bit out of the way.

Came in for a quick snack / not a beer drinker / so I had a Lemon Seltzer/ and a provolone grilled cheese - it was light and had no flavor it is served with a side of cold tomato soup - I dont think the soup was supposed to be served cold and un heated / it made the meal very unpleasantvery disappointing/ total bill 15.00 I was disappointed/ but beer drinkers will most likely love this beer tasting spot / just don’t get the food /

What a FUN little place! Staff was great; friendly, attentive, and helpful. Great place to try a new beer before a fun night out.

I did not expect much from this place. I was impressed. First, they have about 10-12 beers on tap. Ranging from ipa to pilsner to barrel aged to a 12% abv dark beer. Prices are reasonable based on the beer. A flute was about $11. Cheapest growler fill $11. If you prefer bottles or cans, they have a huge fridge with all their popular stuff. I highly recommend this place. Sierra Nevada gear is also for sale there. Staff is very friendly too.

Great beer and seems like a fair price. Often crowded and hard to get a seat. Theres been a good Groupon deal lately so definitely look into that.

Reasonable prices for the beers you dont see in the bottles. Food variety is well thought out and you can get heavy food or lighter food. Quality. Quality. Quality.

Chill but odd place. Theres music playing in the background. You can have conversations here. Doesnt have the vibe of open friendliness regarding crowd, atmosphere & service. Service used to be much better. Good beer but Id rather go to my usual local spot (field work) that have outdoor area, open large floor plan, can see the gigantic machines, smell of fresh mash (omg!), doggies (yay!), families with babies & kids, service thats warm and they serve some food too! Id go here again if I was craving beer, in the area, wasnt busy inside, someone really wants to go here & maybe when theres a genuine warmth from servers.

If you are a fan of Sierra Nevada beers you need to go. They have a great selection of their seasonal and specialty brews.

A little disappointed in the beer selection (thought they would have more taps), but pretty good in general. They had a lot of the regular Sierra Nevada offerings, but a few smaller batch beers too. Tried the Barrel Aged Maltiple Personalities which was quite good, but then had the Chico Beer Enthusiast which was fantastic.

Right off the highway, plenty of street parking. Cool vibe, clean bathrooms, good beer. Only criticism would be theres not a ton of stools to sit on

I love Sierra Nevada, but the bartender shorted our growler fills significantly. For some of the fills, you’re paying $25 for a 32oz growler fill, and she left about half the bottle as foam on both our 32oz and 64oz fills. She was either lazy or didn’t have a clue how to properly fill a growler (this was on a Sunday at around 2pm). The beer was great, the food was good, but the service was very lacking. I’m a Chico alum and I always loved the brewery up in Chico, I’m disappointed that the quality of service was not the same at Torpedo room.

Great beer and food

We were here for the Bay Curious trivia night on Valentines Day. The drinks and food were good. The entrance is interesting: a huge metal door that isnt marked as a door. Good service and not too loud.

I came here for a few rounds of SN brews and really enjoyed my visit. The taproom was clean and nicely decorated. They have large front windows which give it a nice, open feeling.

I love this place! Sierra Nevada is one of my favorite ales and this place does not disappoint on selection. The prices are great, staff is friendly and helpful. This is my go to for drinks when I have a chance. Mellow environment to relax and enjoy a great drink! I highly recommend!

Love this place! The new revamp has a small foods menu which replaced the food stand outside. Bummer, oh well. Have yet to try the food, but the beer selection is still awesome!Love that I live 2 min away walking!

Excellent selection of Sierra Nevada beers, all fresher than youll get outside of the brewery. The staff loves to chat with customers, and are as knowledgeable as any beer lover would want a server to be. In addition, they are well stocked with beer for retail sale, as well as growler fills, and logo goods.

I stopped here on a weeknight to see a friend. Seeing as this is a Sierra Nevada tasting room, they only have proprietary beers. I happen to like SN, so thats not an issue. There are a couple of unique beers that arent sold in stores. Flights are available. Bartenders are knowledgeable, and theres an outdoor patio for when the weather gets warm.

Keeps things interesting and not restricted to just the brewery.They have a good selection of paraphernalia to boot. Got some Otra Vez chapstick and although it’s made with not so wonderful sunscreens, it is pretty nice.The new outdoor balcony area adds a nice touch. Worth a visit or several.

Very nice little tap room. They dont brew on site. Good selection of taps. I think they have 16 rotating taps. Staff have a bit of knowledge about SN. 7 bucks for most IPAs. 6 for Torpedo. Overall, a good place to grab a pint

Love having a piece of Chico in Berkeley. They have a lot of my favorites including, Old Chico. They also have great gifts like soaps and hot sauce.

This place has all the Sierra Nevada options. Bottles, Cans & Draft. Including their rare stuff and barrel aged series. The staff was very cool and knowledgeable when I was there and were ready to answer questions about the beer and provide recommendations. There was a small food menu, but I didnt try it.

I could hang here all day. Such a unique environment. We went to restock our holiday beer and stayed when they offered a tasting of 2017 golden IPA. Very informed people working there.

Calm atmosphere and good music in a gentrified neighborhood under the old University overpass. Tastey food at great prices, the staff is super nice, and it has all of the beers you want .

Lots of excellent beer, nice atmosphere, very good service. Theyre happy to let you taste. No food but you can bring in. Theyll even let nondrinkers bring in tea & coffee. A very good food truck tends to hang out in front.

Great for couples, and group of friends. Has some board games like Taboo. Some months, you can learn how to make beer. Cool vibe.

Pretty cool place overall. Staff was extremely helpful and they have a good selection on tap and had a variety of their trip in the woods series which have mostly been pretty solid in my experience.

Beers sounded good on paper, but barstaff was just out to lunch. We were amongst the many who had to walk away on account of never getting served. Good news is that there are many other great breweries within walking distance.

One of my favorite places to stop at and have some tasters with a friend. Always a fun time and almost always something new to try and learn about. Informative and friendly staff. Nice vibe, lots of natural light.

Torpedo room offers many great Sierra Nevada selections including ones you dont see in your regular supermarket. The place is clean and staffed by friendly and professional people. I highly recommend checking it out. They also sell many Sierra Nevada souvenirs.

Stopped by on a vacation last month. Was a great visit and the staff was amazing! They had all the gear a Sierra Nevada fan could ever want and all the beer you cant find in SoCal. Will make it a point to visit anytime we are in the area!

Its wonderful to try all that Sierra Nevada has to offer. Real finds on tap and even Taproom exclusives. Make sure to bring a DD if you are there for all the High ABV barrel-aged beer.

Cool small taproom. Theres a bunch of construction around but it doesnt interfere. Try some fries from the food truck out front.

Chill tasting room with lots of beer options! I liked everything I tried, and each one was really different. The cheese plate was just ok, but the beer was good!

The beer is a little pricey compared to most tasting rooms, but delicious nonetheless. It is a great chance to try all sorts of Sierra Nevada flavors that you cant usually buy in the stores.

Everything about this place is great: the atmosphere is clean and open, the beer tastes great, there are options on tap you cant get elsewhere, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I went recently and especially enjoyed their gose and an experimental IPA they called harvest IPA. My only complaint (a small one) is that the snack options on the menu are pretty limited and a tad pricey

I used to come by this place quite a bit with my growler. Me and some friends hang out and drink some really good beers here. Its a great place to be, family friendly and pet friendly. Its also right by the sake factory thats around the corner. One thing I wished they still had was the biere de garde from the tap. It was a blend of the bourbon barrel age and wine barrel aged beers. It was crazy good. This blend was definitely a rare beer. Never had anything like it. Ill be back more often if they still had it even if it was quiet expensive for the beer.

If youre a fan of Sierra Nevada beer, or have been wanting to sample their line, this is a great place. They usually have things you cant get else where whether it be special on-draft releases or 6-pack verticals of Big Foot. Only downside is no food offerings or nearby.
