Selection is great but Ill be honest I come here for recommendations on wine. The gentleman Steve always provides excellent wine recommendations and even walks me through various brands/blends. Sometimes I even get a bit of a history lesson. Best wine store Ive been to yet.

Great place. Went out of their way to order me a half case of wine that is hard to get. Said they would call back when it arrived and they did. Seems simple, but doesnt happen often these days

Good selection overall of beer, whiskey and wine which is mainly what I shop for. The main downsides for me are that they dont have enough microbrew varieties in the fridge, and dont have enough individual bottles/cans for sale.

They never fail me when I need a recommendation on a wine. This is where I go if Im making a special dinner and Im unsure about which wines to serve or what wines to cook with.

Good selection, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and quick checkout (important the day before Thanksgiving!) They have a terrific selection of wines, which is organized in a way that makes sense with lots of signage.

Nice combo of huge selection and staff willing to recommend something or find something specific. The prices are reasonable, no higher than any other store in the area and lower than most in this town!The beer section in particular is pretty impressive. Ive spoken to the beer guy (wish I could remember his name) a few times and hes pretty knowledgeable about craft beers - he seems to buy not just the popular ones, but a bunch of stuff that you dont really see anywhere else.Its my new go-to liquor store.

I consider it the best liquor store in Berkeley Heights, based on selection, price when chosen carefully, and service. Ive reviewed others liquor stores in the town, some are appalling in their service.

I mostly come here for beer. The beer selection isnt just huge, its hi-qual, got a bunch of stuff thats really good and somewhat difficult to find. Have talked to their beer buyer a few times; he knows his stuff. Once asked him to get a beer in cans that they already had in bottles, and he said sure - got it two days later.I do get wine once in awhile, but I dont really know much about wines, so I just ask the staff and theyre really helpful about finding whatever I want in the price range I want.Prices are good here, as low as anyplace Ive ever been to and lower than the Berkeley Heights local competition.

VR is disproportionately large for our smallish place town but thats a good thing since they carry a good selection, mainly wine and beer. Clean, well layed out, reasonable value I think.

Hands Down - Best Place! Since theyve taken over the shop there has been nothing but first class service and product selection. The entire staff is friendly, incredibly knowledgable and very excited to help customers with their selection. I have found their prices better than anyone elses in the area. While there are shops closer to where I live, none of them compare with Vine Republic - the extra five to ten minutes is more than worth it!
