I had a bicycle assembled and it was finished the same day ( before I was even ready to pick it up). I was able to even pick up outside of normal hours. The staff member who assembled the bike made sure the adjustments were correct when we picked the bicycle up. Very friendly and fast service! I will go back for any bicycle repairs in the future.

Had both tires and inner tubes replaced. Immediate service. Thought I’d need to leave my bicycle overnight but I was contacted in a couple hours and able to pick up same day. Owner provided additional service (loosened too tight bearings) at no cost. Will certainly get my business in future.

Owner was so sweet. He gave us great recommendations for kids seats on adult bikes. He was so sweet to our daughter as well and we greatly appreciate it! Ill be looking forward to seeing if we can purchase any used bikes from him and coming for any repairs we need.

I brought a bike to the Berea Bike Shop today 12/4/2020 that had a busted out back tire. The man who answered the phone stated they were closed or closing for the weekend. I told him the importance of replacing the tire and he opened up shop and fixed it for me. I dont know his name, but I wish I did. He has no idea how his kindness affected me today, he had me in tears. If this man reads this review, THANK YOU!!!!! ❤

The owner opens the store when he feels like coming in. I have wasted too much time going there to find a dark, closed store when it is supposed to be open. I wanted to do business there but I go to Eddys, Fairview or Friedrichs now.

I first took my bike to the gentlemen and told him that I would bring him my Buisness and he was happy to take on my business. I asked him at that time do you sale bikes and he said no, I just fix them thats all. So the next week I stop up with my bike and he tells me at I cant just stop up with my bike and that I need to call first, he wouldnt even look at it. So the older black gentleman tells me to bring my bike back on Monday the 15th at 12:15 PM So the next week comes around and I have my Son drop off the bike and he tells my son that it would be $75.00 to fix the bike. I had also given my son several parts to fix the bikes brakes, and I later had my son take up the older brakes that came with the bike so that he could repair the original brakes. So today my son receives a call telling me to come and pick up the bike. So I stop at the Bank and I pick up $95.00 to cover all possible expenses. So I get to the side garage door and I tell the older gentlemen that I am here to pick up the Huffy bike. He then retrieves the bike from the rear. He then tells me that he couldnt get the gears to work and that he had replaced several items on the bike including the brakes. I didnt really look because I trusted him. The he put on a set of new grips and tells me that the brakes are working good and that he also replaced several other things and that I owed him $130.00 So I then said let me walk over to the store and get more money. After I return and hand him $40.00 and I tell him that he owes me $5.00 from the $95.00 that I had already given him, he then says I dont know if I got five dollars. I am like what, I just gave you $95.00 and there was a five dollar bill in there. He then goes through his pocket and pulls out a huge wad of money and counts out five single bills. I couldnt believe that he was trying to beat me out of an extra five dollars. He then tells me that he could get the gear shifters to work for either the front or the rear so I would have to ride in one gear. I was very upset and I said nothing. He then tells me that you put too much money into this Bike, however I can fix the gears for you at an additional cost. I then told him, never mind, Ill ride it like this. I then get home and I took a good look at what he did. He only replaced the front and rear cables for the brakes and re-installed my old V 135mm brakes that I gave him to fix. So my bike is really the same, I just now have brakes which I supplied. I do not recommend this bike shop for anything. This old dude is shady to say the least.

BJ is a great guy. Hes been in the business for well over 35yrs and he knows his stuff! His customer service is top notch. In the age of internet shopping and corporate businesses I encourage you to support local, established mom and pop stores where a smile and great service still mean something. I just got back to Ohio and I cant wait to stop in!

Excellent and FAST service! Called Berea Bike Shop looking for a high end bicycle. The shop didnt carry this bike, but the owner offered to order the bike to be delivered next day and at $100 less than competitor prices. The owner assembled the bike and arranged to stay an hour after closing to accommodate me so I could pick up my new bike. Couldnt have been happier with the service there. Will definitely return for any future repairs!

Great place to go to get your bike fix

The guy lives and breathes bicycles. He mostly runs the shop by himself, so during posted hours he may be off on some errand or other, with a be back at ... sign on the door. Its a small price to pay for a guy who knows his stuff and goes above and beyond for his customers.Ive bought a few bikes from him for people I know; all the bikes have been top-notch and competitively priced. He even delivers bicycles if you dont have a good way to get them home ... and that too counts as an errand that might keep him out of the shop.So call ahead if you like, or just stop in.

I have had my bike for years and depending how much I ride I usually get it tuned up every one or two years.I dropped my bike off at this shop for a tuneup and was quoted about 4 or 5 days.My main complaint was how the back wheel needed to be trued and it was rubbing.Almost two weeks later my bike is ready to go. $65 for the tuneup and getting the back wheel trued (which should be a part of the tuneup shouldnt it?)Heres what $65 and close to two weeks without my bike got me:Loose seat – I had to tighten it up myself. This should have been checked before giving me my bike back. It wasnt like this when I dropped it off.Brake pads replaced – Nope!Back wheel trued – Kinda. It still rubs but appears to not be warped. I asked him about the rubbing and he said he got tired of looking for the source of the noise.Gears slip – This is a 24 speed bike and actually they were a little lose when I dropped it off but much worse when I picked it up. He let me come back in so he could check it out and I explained how when Im in 1st gear and shift up it goes to the next gear and slips. I typically down shift to 1st when Im coming to a stop. He suggested I just leave it in 2nd gear and that its a waste of energy to drop it to first. Yes, he literally said that instead of actually fixing the issue. I have had this issue in the past and the shops I dealt with always resolve the issue without telling me I shouldnt use 1st gear.So basically I gave him $65 to true by back wheel.I have used Fridrichs and Dicks Sporting Goods in the past. In either case I would have paid less than $65. My back wheel would have been trued and not rubbing at all. Brake pads would have been replaced. My gears wouldnt be dangerously slipping when Im peddling.The owner is a very nice guy and I am all about supporting a small local business but he just isnt good at his job.I would recommend NOT doing business here.

I have been using this Bike shop for a number of years and have always had great service with exceptional prices. B.J. is always there to greet you with a friendly smile and a few stories to share. I will always send whom ever needs this type of service towards his store.

The gentleman that I met there was terribly rude and a smart mouth. I went somewhere else. His quote for a blown tire was between was $8.00 to $50.00. What kind of quote is that? He asked me to leave because he had a bigger customer on the phone.

I work at Berea Bicycle and I can tell you that the guy here knows his stuff. I have seen him redoing bikes that came from competitors shops because they did not do what they said, or just dont do as much as berea bicycle. He has the best prices and quality service. As far as the other reviews about wait times and such, I am helping with that. Also this is the only place around that will work on Razor electrics.
