Ive been here almost every day of the week for four years now since my sister makes me go shopping with her but each time its still a good visit

We’ve been shopping at Fred Meyers all over the country for the last 2 years. They are usually my favorite store over almost any other but recently in our travels through Bend I had a completely different experience.After scheduling a pick up order (with many items purchased specifically for the current sales going on). we picked up the order and we noticed our total was $25 dollars more than the total at the time the order was placed. Thinking it was a simple error I went in to the store to let them know. Customer service called the manager of the dept responsible for pick up orders and from the moment she walked up the entire interaction was disappointing.Being told that this is “just their policy”, “ I shouldn’t have ordered items on a Monday because the ad changes tuesday”,and “if I have an issue with the policy I should just call Kroger’s policy dept and tell them ” and then trying to tell me that since there is a fine print at the bottom of the online app that states “prices variations can happen” that justifies a $25+ difference and that if I don’t like the policy I can just return the items that I was overcharged for.I keep thinking what if this was my MIL who is on a very limited budget and she saw such an increase on her total so much higher than she expected and then to be told by a manger of your establishment “ Oh well, this is our policy, you should have ordered your items on a different day.” That’s just so disappointing and not at all the way you run a businessAs a small business owner and someone who has worked in customer service since I was young I truly never complain about customer service. I know how hard retail is and I normally am so sympathetic but this entire experience was just ridiculous from a customer stand point.It’s sad that one experience can change the way you feel about a whole company

Store has a giant sign at the entrance “all customers and associates must wear masks”. But once inside 1/3 of the people are not masked and there is zero effort to enforce. Either enforce the rule or take the sign down. Can’t have it both ways. I would not have shopped there had I known there would be so many unmasked people.

This store in no way enforces the state mandated mask policy. Several people just wandering throughout the store and engaging with employees without a single employee offering them a mask or kindly informing them about the law.

This Fred Meyer is just okay. The store layout is challenging and it always seems very busy. Customer service tends to be pretty slow. I really like the click list program and rewards program for gas and coupons. Store itself is usually pretty nice and well stocked. I go here as needed but not for everything.

Overpriced and not worth it. Makes you walk through all kinds of other items before you get to the grocery portion if you park on the wrong side of the building. Store didnt even have contactless pay.

Super helpful staff. Maybe I just looked lost or maybe theyre all trained that way?? Or maybe its the fact the store is HUGE and you could totally get lost in here.We started looking for some cheese and crackers. Is too many choices a bad thing?? We didnt get the two hundred dollar chunk of parmesan... instead opting for a tasty gouda.Point is, we had a few items on our list and the staff must have recognized our bewilderment. They were all very helpful in pointing us in the right direction and even helping us check out.

Whatever they are trying to do reorganizing the store, its not working unless their plan is to drive customers away. Employees are also rude, standing in the aisles and blocking traffic. The produce is pretty good though, which is the stores only saving grace

The customer service there is terrible. Stood in the line for 20 minutes and got a store credit but they didn’t even have what I needed so the credit is useless. The customer service lady gave me and the lady before me attitude. On top of this so many people didn’t have masks. It’s funny because their sign says no mask no entry yet so many people there with no masks. Terrible experience never going back and don’t think people should go there either.Okay so update, left to Walmart they had everything I needed and a great price, I was in and out the store 10 minutes top. They even had a nice reminder over the speaker that you need to wear masks.

I like shopping here, dont get me wrong! But I suggest that they put bathrooms in the area between the dairy and the bakery area! Why? So people who really have to go dont need to walk all the way to the bathroom by the apparel area to avoid unnecessary bathroom accidents.

They are moving some things around so it us a little hard finding some things. Only had one staffed register open.

I bought gasoline, the service was fast and courteous.

They need to update their policy on checkstands its unreasonable to have people waiting 20-30 minutes to check out. That or hire faster cashiers.

Went to cash a money order that they had made and they told they couldnt cash it till maybe Wednesday. I said it sounds like this would be a hot check..and will talk with attorney.. then they cashed it and charged me $4.50 to cash there own check...?ARE THEY GOING BELLY UP...I WILL DEFINATELY NOT ACCEPT ANY OF THEIR CHECKS FROM NOW ON......

I cant give a negative rating, so 1 is the best that can be given. On our way to an event we needed to get gas. We went to fuel up at the Freddies in Bend and pulled up behind a single car that appeared to either be waiting for an attendant for gas or a receipt (when we pulled behind that car, the hose was not physically attached to the car). After around 5 or 10 minutes, an attendant provided the car with a receipt and the car was waived up to the next pump, where they began to fuel up (again). So, having spent time waiting for whatever that was - we pulled up to the now empty pump... and waited...and waited. Exasperated, we waived our arms to draw the attention of the attendant who when he saw us performed a clownish waive back to us - which given the situation was the wrong thing to do.Our car requires premium fuel (the inside of the gas lid clearly states PREMIUM FUEL ONLY). We instructed him to fill with premium and he began to fuel up and called out filling up regular. We stopped him immediately and called for the manager. The manager was not on premises (at the main store, not at the fuel station). Having spent 20 minutes already to get 1.2 gallons of the wrong octane fuel, we left and went to Shell - where the service was excellent. Not going back to Freddies. Going forward and when possible, Albertsons gets my business now and so does Shell. All this could have been alleviated if the attendant paid attention to our instructions and if he had bothered to read the gas lid and if Oregon would allow us to pump our own.

We have had great experiences with the pickup option and their pickup staff is super friendly! Thank you Fred Meyer!

Forgetta bout it... Its got everything.

Unfortunately, due to them suddenly becoming service dog unfriendly, I have had to stop shopping there. I have heard other service dog owners have been having problems too. I could fight it as it is against the ADA for them to do so. But with so many other service dog friendly grocery stores out there I decided it was just simply not worth the effort. I will shop at the one in Redmond if I ever needed to go to a Freddys. They have no problem with service dogs.

I recently stopped in at the Fred Meyers located in Bend, OR and had the best retail experience Ive had in years. I needed to replace a plant in my office, but I know next to nothing about plants and asked for some assistance once I entered the gardening section. Rene, who I found knee deep in a project(literally), immediately put down what she was doing to help me. Rene proved to be extremely knowledgeable, and walked me through the entire process with a smile. She deserves a raise! Fast forward to the next day, I stopped back in and Rene was there again. Im not even sure her department was open yet, but she jumped right in(again) and potted my new plant right there on site. Thank you, Rene! You bring something unique and special to the table and I hope you are appreciated by Management! Fred Meyers has earned my loyalty to their gardening section as a direct result of Rene, and her talents.

Love the variety of items offered here as a one-stop shopping experience from produce to winter coats to wedding rings- lol!!! So much more... Most employees I came across in the three visits so far, have been friendly and helpful, however one star removed for an unhelpful cashier.

Excellent organic produce area; clean, fresh. Roger is very helpful. In other areas some grocery items like taco seasoning mix are not all one one aisle, but you have to look in other places to find your brand.

The only store i like better is winco but freddys has everything

We had to get in and get out quickly as we were on a tight schedule. I found what we needed and we continued on our way. FM is always a nice place to shop. This FM was big and I had quite far to walk to find what I needed. The extra exercise was good for me, so I cant complain too much. If you please, hit the THUMBS UP button to LIKE my review!

Dont go to this store. They arent sanitizing baskets or carts and theres no one way isles. This store is a mad house. They dont care if they follow the social distancing protocal. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Fred Meyer is clean, organized, there are bathrooms available, a large selection of clothing for both men and women. I noticed the have a larger plus sizing selection as well as big and tall choices. Their shoe department is quite large, makeup as well. Staffing is not adequate, its difficult to find an employee to help, however, when you connect with staff they are consistently helpful.

Great store ..a little bit of everything..enjoy shopping here , especially now! where they worked so hard rearranging the store, so close to being done and it is fantastic!

The associates are always very nice.

I would love it so much better if the bakery actually did my cake right... 2 times i got cake and flat out said absolutely no regular frosting only whipped frosting and both times i got whipped frosting with regular frosting border and decorations :/ dont tell me that it cant be done with whipped frosting because i know it can v.v that is literally my only issue.... i hate hate HATE frosting except whipped and that is because its not so freaking over powering v.vI know this would seem dumb for some but it isnt dumb to me and it shows an inability to follow a customers order appropriately... if your paying for it then it should be what you asked for not what they felt like giving you

Last night we went shopping at Fred Meyer and had the best checker name Susanne and she helped us so much about deals and the club card they have and told us about rewards I would have never knew!! They have hands down great service at Fred Meyer! The meat counter was very nice guys also!! I will be shopping here all the time now! Good deals, great price and great service thank you Fred Meyer! It really shows when a company cares for their employees like you do !

They seem to have a lot of theft and often have employees following customers around. Even if the customer is legitimately paying for everything it still makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience that’s highly problematic for paying patrons.

I had to knock off a couple stars just due to their fruit section. You can see mold on the fruit way too often. I like the store as you can just get everything there, so I hate to have to shop for produce elsewhere. You would think someone should be in charge of monitoring and rotating the fruits and veggies, but I guess not. Other than that its a nice store to have for the folks living nearby.

Good store but stay away from the meat counter. Employees are rude and they sell tainted meat.

Fuel attendant refuse to keep six foot distance and were all wearing their masks under their nose and getting up into my personal space trying to contaminate me. After asking for them to step back and put their mask over their nose they refused.

Went to Fred Meyer in Bend Oregon to go black friday shopping only to realize they had marked all their prices up and then discounted them so they were pretty much the same original price. I know this because Ive been waiting to buy a few products in the store for a couple months now and I know what the price has been for a few months. This will make me NEVER shop at Fred Meyer ever again. I hope the manager reads this because thats ridiculous.

An easy walk from our house and it has everything that I usually need. Great organic produce section as well as several aisles of organic/natural products. The bakery always has free cookies for the little ones. Large parking area for all sizes of vehicles. The gas is usually the best offer in town especially with the 3 cent member discount. Highly recommend for one stop shopping.

This is a fantastic Fred Meyer. I like this one better than the Yakima Fred Meyer because its got a fantastic cheese selection. They have a wonderful cheese thats infused with French onion it taste like french onion soup but its not French onion soup it is just cheese but if you had your eyes closed wow the flavor just explodes in your mouth and you will feel like your life is completely fulfilled After experiencing this cheese at this Fred Meyer

We shopped in apparel department and grocery department. We we so pleased that there were nice employees to assist and answer our questions. Thank you for them. We live in La Pine and shop at this store when we come to Bend. We like this Fred Meyer.

Great one stop shopping store! They have everything you need from groceries to clothes and gasoline. You can also shop on line and they will being your groceries out to your car! First time is free from my understanding

_The_ place to shop in south Bend, unless youre a Walmart person. Mostly a grocery store but with other departments and gas too. Darn near a one stop shop.

It’s better than Walmart, but they leave all the lanes closed. Expect an additional half hour wait trying to leave even if you go self checkout

I have yet to see some of the SLOWEST checkstand ringing in my life. As the line piles up behind me I am shocked at the low level of awareness the cashier has for all of us waiting customers. Truly appalling. The training here needs to also cover speediness and general awareness of reading the “room” (or line as it were in this case).

I was visiting from out of town and have been to many Fred Meyer locations throughout Oregon- this was by far the coolest one with the nicest people working there. The people working the deli counter we honestly some of the kindest people I met the whole time in Bend. Amazing place!!

Love Fred Meyer. Sad they stopped selling firearms because back when they did they were a one stop shop for me. If you do your main grocery shopping there you could get some decent discounts at the pump when you fill up. I usually get $1/gal which is significant on my 32 gallon fill ups on my diesel truck. I know Mike Roth, the manager of the store in Bend, and he is a really good family guy who is invested in the Central Oregon community. He seems to run a tight ship that works like a well oiled machine equipped with top-notch customer service representatives.

I am changing grocers because it is too difficult to find items in the store. I can only guess where organic or plant based items are? Is almond milk with milk or in a separate healthy food aisle? Is plant based yoghurt with yoghurt or in the healthy section? What about the plant-based meat? And bread? Forget about it. Why can’t “healthy” options be integrated with products made from animals and processed foods. What a disaster. I am checking out other stores for a less frustrating and more pleasant experience.

Our visit was to the delightful garden shop. So many choices and all healthy. Its wonderful having the garden entrance openAnd cheerful checker.

Clean, good selection and prices. Several employees asked if we needed any assistance. One item rang up differently than was marked, when cashier was told he just took the item off. Wasnt worth waiting/asking for a price check.

Cashier lost my receipt and security almost wouldn’t let me leave until she told him I paid for everything.I can’t continue spending money here, $200 on every grocery trip to feel guilty becauseA. The cashiers don’t have time for you and are obviously unhappyB. Security thinks you’ve stolen a bunch of pizzasWont be back

Great place overall, but unlike most stores where theyll let me buy as much or as little dry ice as I want here I was forced to purchase a full block... something like 8 pounds of it, when all I wanted was a single pound. Should have just looked elsewhere.

I just dont know what to say. I used to love this store and picking up my groceries when i purchase online BUT the last 3 trips to clicklist has been something that is LESS than acceptable. They have either left off bags of my groceries and I have had to go back the next day or they have messed up the order and didnt have time to load the groceries into the car. They actually had my daughter load the groceries while they went back to get the correct coffee. COME ON! I normally dont get upset about this kind of thing but that is the point of this service. We pay the fee for this service and I at least expect the bare minimum. One, two or five mistakes, oops or mishaps is fine but I havent had an order correct for awhile now. I used to get the best produce and I have sent many people there for this service but now I am questioning my judgement. I hope something changes soon.

Its great, sometimes they have good prices and other times they are just like the rest. They have an awesome selection of wines and beers for great prices. Very nice place with great selection of items, food and furniture. You can go to this place for everything honestly. They even have a gas station.

I am one of your click list patrons. What an excellent service. I must say all the click list servers are good to work with-however Stephanie is outstanding. She is quick,efficient and always friendly even when things are hectic.

Great selection of items and always have great deals! I recommend avoiding shopping between 4:30-5:30 dinner rush, all lines are open but it still takes a while to check out. The also have a great rewards program if you spend $500 in 3 months there you get a cash back rebate and every $100 saves you $.10 on gas at their fuel center or select shell stations!!

Has everything you need in one store.

Most everything you will ever need and more. Decent sized organic fruit, vegi, fridge food and shelf selection.The boxed wines and beers have been pretty good here too.Sign up for the rewards, you get a good price off gas and you will also get a in store gift card every quarter. Mine have all been pretty sweet so far!

The air is mostly fart.

Kroger & trying to screw all of the loyal Jewelers me included. Greedy. I actually heard them say these Jewelers own their own homes and are driving nice trucks and cars. In other words we cant have that thats money we want according to Kroger. Thanks a lot after 22 years of loyal service.

My favorite grocery store in Bend. Has everything including Boars head, quality organic vegetables, a high end cheese section and an organic section. Lots manned of check out stations. Solid.

Good selection and good prices. Good selection of organics. Senior discount days. Some of the non-food items like kitchen appliances dont have the quality that I want. Clothing tends to stock more large sizes and in some cases no small sizes.

It is a Fred Meyer :) As you might expect, there is a wide selection of groceries and just about anything else you might need. Ive ended up stopping by a few times for things like an AC adapter for an old PC, and coaxial connectors and cables. Gas is quick and easy, and we recently tried out ClickList. You can do your shopping online, then just drive up and they bring it right out to the car. Very handy for busy shopping times like Thanksgiving and in general when youve got a little one in tow.

This store doesnt want my business it discriminates by making it impossible for people to get the sale prices unless they have a smart phone or access to a computer. The ads are misleading and confusing. I will discourage anyone to shop here because of this. The employees dont even know how to do the digital coupons.

Today we waited 15 minutes at the check out line before the checker started to check us out. At 10 minutes I visited with an individual and she said she was working on it. when we left in about 20 minutes there were no more checkers. The sign said wait time 74 seconds - what a lie. I wish that someone at the Fred Meyers in Bend Oregon would visit with management about customer service.

Nice large store with tons of merchandise, from the garden to the grocery.The associates are all so very helpful as well as knowledgeable. Just wish there was a few more sometimes when I am looking for something.

Has a lot of variety of things to purchase. Stock might be low. They have a reward program. For every purchase you make you earn points. You can put those points towards gas and you get rebates in the mail. I like Fred Meyer :)

Huge. We entered in the side and had a time finding where the groceries were located. They have shoes, apparel, you name it, somewhere in that big store. Prices seem in line. Next time we go will be better prepared

Self checkout, Megan and Eric are so helpful every time I go through there. The great customer service keeps me shopping there. I went to electronics a couple days ago late in the evening and the old man working that dept. was very rude. To the point that I wanted to tell him.....Ill not say what I wanted to tell him. Anyway, 99.9% of the time everyone is very customer service oriented.

If I could give less than one star I would. I loved this place until I walk in and see a employee getting reamed by their manager IN THE MIDDLE OF PUBLIC AREA! if your going to be a manager you need to respect your employees AND the area they work in! That was the most disgusting, sexist, and horrible experience Ive wotnessed/experienced. Respect your employees Fred Meyer. I dont care who you are no one deserves to be embarrassed like that or put down in those ways.

Best store ever! In a hurry today, in and out in 10 minutes. They opened another checkout line when I was the third person in line! Love this store!

Don’t get a job at Fred Myers if you don’t want to get taken advantage of. My wife was working there a few months. She had an interview and they lied and told her she was full time. She started working there, won’t let you drink wanter unless you are on your break, the scheduling it’s the most ridiculous thing I have seen in any company. They only give you a week notice for the schedule witch I’m pretty sure is illegal. And not to many friendly managers and employees. Since she started at Fred Myers it’s been a mess. Every week she would say “I need 40 hours or I’ll have to find another job we have a house bill and more” and they never gave her 40. She put a notice in and left now working full time at her new job. The last couple weeks she was there they were just rude and unprofessional like she just randomly quit. Yet they wouldn’t give her hours? Kroger is by far the worst company to work for that I’ve witnessed. To make matters worse they only gave her 10 bucks on her last pay check so now we have to figure out where her last pay check went. Awesome thanks Kroger. If you are hurting for employees you might try giving people 40 hours just a thought.

This was a great store where you could get everything you needed in one stop. Now they are continually out of lots of stuff an dont carry some of the things and brands I like. When I questioned the manager he told me management is no longer in control of what and how many of items are ordered, its done by a computer so he couldnt do anything about it. Just another corporation getting in the way of themselves by being greedy. Find a nother store to shop at if you can because you will probably have to go there anyway to get all your shopping done anyway.

This Fred Meyer has all of the departments. You can pretty much make a one stop shop if you want to get everything in one place. They have great sales, if youre willing to wait for seasonal items to get marked down. Ive seen 70%, marked down with 30% off of that price! The staff is friendly, and the prices are mostly pretty good. This store is (IMO) way better than the chaos of Walmart! They are currently putting in a Starbucks kiosk, so now you will be able to get a great cup of coffee also, what else could you ask for.

I have shopped at the Bend Fred Meyer ever since it opened. When I shop there at least a couple time a week, I can get nearly everything on my list, except when a popular item is out of stock. That seems to be happening more and more often.I am very happy that Fred Meyer/Kroger has decided to restrict gun sales in their stores. Having a gun counter in the back of the Bend store near the paint and camping sections has always made me uncomfortable. Ill be more comfortable now that I know that Fred Meyer is using good sense regarding gun sales.

I have been a Fred Meyer shopper since I was a young Child. I am now 70 years old. I do not have a printer capability set up with my computer so am not able to make digital copies of coupons from your ads. This makes me very unhappy since I have always been a coupon user. Why should I have to go to the double effort to save with coupons over how I use to in order to save my usual past savings ? I have always been a loyal Fred Meyer shopper but am now considering changing to another grocery chain.

This particular Fred Meyer is nice because of its plentiful parking, and the location provides restaurants, stores, and a gas station all in the same area making it a pit-stop for anything from food to even getting a new phone.

I am a organic whole foids customer and i was looking for insant protein with soy. I used to be able to go right to what i was looking for with no problem but today i couldnt find any instant protein much less soy protein. This concerned me so i asked someone and now its in health and beauty but guess what there isnt any with soy. If i have to look all over your huge store for the organic products i love and buy i will shop somewhere else for these products. I know you are doing away with the organic section and the people that work in that department that i know and rely on. What a shame. You are doing your organic customers a disservice.

I love shopping at Fred Meyer. The store is well stocked with a large variety of food, home goods, clothing, shoes, gardening, etc. All staff is always friendly and willing to go out of their way to help if you ask them.

Great store good prices. I forgot my keys last night and was walking my bike through the store and had a couple of employees looking at me strangely and a manager standing there told them, he probably just forgot his lock or something, its not his fault thanx!

Very crowded at 3:45 on a Sunday afternoon. Very long check out lines, and no express check out other than the job-sucking self check kiosks. The wine section used to be a thing of beauty and organization, now it is sort of baffling. It appears that choices for organizing this section have been taken away from the local (and very knowledgeable) wine steward. Thats too bad...

Its a Freddys. You know what to expect. Decent produce in the grocery. Mediocre off-brand goods and familiar national brands among the sundries.The employees, as always, are pleasant and helpful.Gets VERY crowded, despite its size, in the late afternoon.

Im from California, they have no Fred Meyers. I loved this store, they had everything I needed, plus a beer tap area to fill growlers. Awesome!

Only 2 cashiers lanes open. Took 20-25 minutes to check out due to some malfunction with the register. In the future Ill just order off Amazon. My time is too valuable to stand around. Not very happy.

We are able to do most of our shopping at Fred Meyers including pharmacy. They have been out of the carmel topping we want.Employers are friendly and helpful.

Fred Meyer is a great place to shop for almost anything! Food, utilities, electronics, you name it! Great prices and a great app for clicklist etc. However, no mobile pay accepted here so be aware of that.

The service at the Bend Fred Meyer is generally helpful and friendly, but I recommend that you use self-checkout. I shop there fairly regularly ( once every 2-3 weeks ) and on at least 2 occasions in the past 3 months, the checker has forgotten to put bagged items back in the cart.On both occasions, I didt realize it until I got home, and had to drive back to the store to get it sorted out. In both cases, I had a receipt and the service desk was accommodating, but Id still rather not have to make two trips to get everything I paid for.I really like the store and would give 4 stars for silly errors like this, but I consider this kind of a big deal. Even if its just negligence, its basically failing to deliver goods that the customer has paid for.
