Nice level balance and selection. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us pick a game to fit our family’s play style (Railroad!) All levels should find this store enjoyable. Stay and play if you have time.

An amazing place for board games, D&D, card games, Magic the Gathering, and Friday Game Night! The service there is incredible, the amount of quality in the games are nice, the quantity is good, and the selection is fascinating! And so much more that other stores wouldnt have! One of the card games I got was Boss Monster, and its price was awesome! All of the stuff they have are at excellent prices! A great place for kids and adults!

GREAT place. We were just stopping in to check out the selection and maybe buy a game, but ended up staying all day and closing the place down.Great game selection for both purchase and play. Bright, modern, clean, ORGANIZED (joy!) atmosphere. Great beer selections. Only thing that would have made it better would have been some snacks, but I do understand A) not having a kitchen makes that hard and B) it might be hard to keep the games clean that way. There is a fantastic food truck court just down the hallway and across the street if you do need to break for food. When were back in Bend, well definitely stop by again.

This is my choice of LGS and if you need specialty stuff they typically can get it for you. Their magic, D&D, and board game selection is always impressive.Plus they really take Covid seriously with ample space to spread out, masks requiered, and a dedicated entrance and exit when their large door is not open.

Fantastic local game store. 250+ games in their game library so you can test out a game before buying it for your collection. Great beer and tea to enjoy while you play. One of our favorite date nights.

This is an excellent little nerd getaway! The employees are very friendly and are never late to greet you with a warm welcome when you walk in the door! Their selection of board games is second to none and they even have something for tabletop gamers, too: an extensive selection of minis as well as paints, brushes, and several sets of colorful dice. Theres also the option to play games in the establishment (as there are many tables and chairs) and enjoy a beverage while you do. I love this place and I never leave empty handed!

The best part is you can pay $5 a person for free play of games they have (pretty much any game they sell they also let people play. They have a huge wall of selection). Free play is AS LONG AS YOU WANT UNTIL THEY CLOSE! So if you go early in the day, you can have an amazing day for a crazy low price.Great selection of board and tabletop games. Small wall dedicated to stuff like DnD and Mtg.Kids 12 and under have to be accompanied by an adult.There is an tap behind the counter so Im pretty sure you can order alcohol. They have a few snack things too I think? So some parents night want to accompany their kids all ages layer at night just in case if you care about that sort of thing.I went there mid week early afternoon during the summer and nobody was there playing games. The game area is very spacious though. Lots of long tables, so theres plenty of room for big groups.

Though its one of the only places to publicly play tabletop board games in central oregon, it is a great place to sit down and hang out with friends and/or strangers. The atmosphere is great, if you like beer they have it (I dont drink though), and they have a HUGE library to choose from if you want to try out some games you dont own.The employees have great knowledge on a large variety of games and are very attentive while youre there playing.If you havent gone to check it out, I highly recommend you do!

Excellent library for trying out games. Tables are the perfect size for spreading out your game while still being able to reach the far side of the board. Friendly atmosphere and well stocked considering the size of the shop.

Great place for board games, Magic & D&D.

The new space is amazing. Staff was attentive, even with lots of people in the store. The game selection is fantastic, feels very curated and deliberate: good mix of older classic games and newer releases, heavy strategy and family night games. Havent had a chance to try out their rental library yet, but its a great addition to the business.

I have shopped here a few times and love the atmosphere in the shop. Even if you don’t want to buy a game, go in and buy a drink, grab one of the free games off the shelf, and have an awesome time with your friends winning. It looked like fill MSRP on most items, but I would still love to have this shop in my town. Game library, clean, nice vibe, guy behind the counter was friendly.

Best place in bend for boardgames

Everything is great...except for the acoustics. Its like a minimalist Gothic cathedral in there--so echoey!!! Players have a hard time hearing each other even just across the table when theyre are only a few groups inside. Its distracting, and could easily be remedied!Please, please, put down some area rugs and/or hang tapestries up on the walls. Itll really help!! And itll look nice and feel more cozy!

Great place with a great game selection, both for sale and in the play library. Absolutely great deal to pay for an afternoon trying new games. Kind of wish they sold snacks as well as drinks but its understandable given that people might make a mess of the games.

I always have a pleasant time in the store. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is very clean. They can order games in if they dont have it on stock for no extra charge. They host MTG events very well. I love this place. We try to support it when we can.

I went in here having no idea what kind of game I wanted. I told her what games Ive enjoyed and she was able to help me find exactly what I wanted. I think its great that they have games on hand for you to play before you buy them to make sure you like it first too.

Good selection of games and good location, but charging $5 cover fee to play really ruins the friendly vibe. I’ve been all over the country to visit board game shops and this is the first I’ve seen to charge to use games inside there shop (or even to play your own games in their shop) I would love to come here and play and meet people but paying each time is just not an option.

They have a wide variety of games and the staff is very helpful and kind. Some items are on the spendy side, but I dont think that is the stores fault.

Super nice guy (Owner? Brian I want to say) helped us select a couple of games (Patchwork and Jaipur) that we are already loving. Listened to our preferences, asked good questions to clarify what we were looking for, and gave us options. Clean shop and the public gaming tables look fun and well have to try them out one of these days. And he sells local beer!

I was told about this place by a friend. We went to go check it out and was surprised on there large selection of games. They have it all, ranging from drinking party games all the way to dungeon and dragons. Ive been wanting to learn how to play D&D and the employees there are very knowledgeable and helped me to get started on my new journey. Great place to bring the whole family and pick out a fun New game.

Good selection of euros and table top miniatures.They have a nice little game library with a good range of diverse tastes.Beer is served and reasonably priced.I think the thing that stands out most is the helpful, polite staff.If board games are your thing they have an open game night every thursday.

Great selection of games. Has games you can play on the tables and the owners are super helpful and knowledgeable of the products they carry. Also, weekly play sessions and they throw tournaments. Have purchased many games from them and found some great gems that I would have never known about. They also serve beer, what more do you need?

Excellent local board game shop. Very helpful, and open late on Thursday/ Friday for gaming with random strangers. Prices arent competitive, but its a great place to play and discover new games with board game experts.

They have a good selection of the most popular board and tabletop games. Card games are lacking, but they still have a few. Very pleasent and calm environment, and the games are all in good condition. I wish there were a little more rarer board games personally, but otherwise, its location and general feel will definately be enough for me to return

Love this place. If you are into table top RPGs or just want a simple board game, this place has it all. From dice of all kinds to miniature figures, map grids and game guides. The staff is well versed in the art of nerdism and can help with almost any thing you ask. They have tables for people to come and play card or tabletop games. Almost every time Im there some one is at a table playing some kind of game. They also have a selection of beverages and a back door right into the Atlas tasting room.

Modern Boardshop is quaint and cozy in size, but it has an impressive selection of games considering the available shelf space, and the owners are very friendly. Its also the only board game store in town, so its a welcome oasis for gamers of all stripes. :)

To bad, looked like a nice place for MTG Friday night draft, but turns out not a kid friendly establishment. When I stated, it was to bad they were not more kid friendly, Shop keeper even remarked they were not in the baby sitting service. WOW this was a first.
