My husband and I drove to Bend a couple weekends back to pick up a tent that we had bought online from CVT. The tent we chose was a discounted tent due to some manufacturing issues. Upon arriving at the store, we learned that they FIXED the tent at no additional cost to us. Additionally, from start to finish, every single person that worked with us went above and beyond. From helping us install the tent to our car, to providing tools for us to even do some extra accessories- they were personable, friendly, and patient. Not only was the staff really easy and enjoyable to work with, they were very knowledgeable and passionate about the products they sold. Would recommend this company to EVERYONE.

Its cold and wintery and my tent needed some more warmth. I called up CVT and ordered the sleeping bag for my Mt. Rainier. The sleeping bag arrived and I tossed it up in the tent. The sleeping bag straps around the mattress and wraps around the edges so it wont move around. This thing has extra layers and you can camp out year round. Went to the top of a mountain in twenty degree weather with snow and two of us plus a dog stayed warm all night long. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something to keep you warm and leave up in the tent. Folds right up and out of sight when on the move.Thanks for keeping us warm!

I did a lot of research before I bought this tent and the associates at the bend store were very helpful over the phone and helped to guide me as to what crossbars to buy and what tent was good for me.Bought the Mt.Shasta Pioneer Edition this morning and absolutely love it! Worth the money and the drive to Bend to get it installed (FYI there is an install fee). The sales associates that work there are awesome! Was told that it would take up to 2 hours for an install but it only took an hour. They take the time to walk you through the tent and answer any questions after the install.Great company and great quality tent!

Olivia is absolutely amazing! We drove 3 hours to look for a hard to find annex for a rooftop tent.Not only did she go out of her way to find it in the computer but she drove to their warehouse to bring it back to us even though their warehouse was closed for the day. She had a smile on her face and was very nice to our dogs the whole time even though we came unannounced.I highly recommend shopping with Olivia for all your needs.

Great customer service. All the models are up for you to check out in their new hybrid series. Dont expect to just show up and leave with a tent. They wont install on factory crossbars so you might need a different set up, so expect an extra fee there. And if they install expect another extra fee, which is super disappointing when you are already spending so much money. I will update my review if we end up getting one.

Called Wednesday to set up an appointment to have the mt Shasta installed on my 4runner. Was told to come in this Tuesday at 9:30am and they would get that installed. Everything seemed to be going well. I called back to reschedule for Friday and talked to a guy named Garrett. He told me that whoever scheduled my appointment should have checked to see if they had all the parts. So, basically I would have driven three hours for nothing. Thankfully, Garrett informed me that sales really shouldnt have told me that and apologized. I was told by Garrett that he would look into that part and he would call me in 4mins to let me know. I asked if he was certain that I would receive a call back and was told without a doubt how good he was about returning phone calls. I have not received a phone call and now have no appointment to have my tent installed. I was extremely excited and now Im just disappointed.

I was only there with someone else who needed something but the inside was big and cool from the heat. The vehicle modifications are also neat check it out for yourselves because i dont want to spoil it.

Bought a Mt. Baker Rooftop tent off the website, was a great buy. They were moving out some old style tents. Unfortunately the site wasnt updated, and the tent they sent didnt at all resemble the pictures online. Tent itself was a good value; not the same quality as my Autohome tent - but very good for the price.After first being upset - and receiving poor customer service from the sales team, Bobby stepped in. First, he explained what happened and took full responsibility for it. He offered to go so far out of his way to make it right, that I couldnt accept his generous offer....it was so far above and beyond. He is someone that is truly committed to customer service.Two things - their website is obviously outdated - or was in my case. I would verify that what you are buying matches what is online before you pay to have something shipped across the country. But if you do buy here, be assured that their management is committed to a high level of customer satisfaction.

Im very happy with the tent and trailer that I purchased, but they really need to work on their customer service. After making a 7 hour drive to pick up my purchase, I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to help me while one of their employees was playing on his cell phone. He saw that I and another customer were waiting to be helped, but he chose to ignore us and went back to his phone. The other customer finally asked him if he was going to help us, at which point he finally did. They also didnt have one of the items that I purchased, and said that they would ship it to me in a few days. Its been a month and Ive yet to receive it. I emailed them asking if it had even been sent, I got the reply that it hadnt, and that they would ship it out that day. Its been a week and Ive yet to receive it. I dont like giving bad reviews, but I spent a pretty large amount of money with them, and would expect a little better customer service. Customer service is everything. I wont be making any more purchases from Cascadia Vehicle Tents.

We purchased our rooftop tent here. Service was great. We love their products and service. The salesman gave us valuable tricks. A must have with CVT is the extended awning and annex. We run our little buddy heater in the annex through the night when its cold. It stays comfortable in the tent plus provides privacy for my must have porta potty.

I just upgraded from an old, worn-out Mombasa tent (which was a great intro to the RTT lifestyle) to a Mt. Rainier CVT with Johns help. We spoke half a dozen times over the phone figuring out the logistics of getting the tent I was looking for installed before the weekend and each time was more pleasant than the last. He scheduled my install for the very next day.Having already had a tent on my Jeep, I wasnt surprised to get a call only an hour after I dropped it off saying it was ready. I made my way down to the store and got a quick demo on how to properly open and close the tent. When collapsing the ladder, we discovered that it wasnt functioning properly; one of the buttons to collapse the step wasnt working. They replaced it with a new one right then and there.The quality and service CVT offers is well worth the price of one of their tents. Im a happy camper and cant wait to spend as much time in the wilderness feeling a lot better about having good equipment I can rely on.

My girl and I did a lot of research into roof top tents, as we knew nothing about them at the time, then we met Bobby at the Overland Rally 2015, and got to see his product in person, and loved it. We read all the reviews we could find on the CVT tents and were happy to see most were quite positive. We discussed it, and settled on their Mt. Rainier EV, and made the drive to pick it up in person. What met us was better than could be asked for! Ian came in on Saturday (theyre closed usually), and sold us the tent, then installed it, then gave us camping suggestions, then dinner ideas, and finally walked us through the operation of the tent, and what to do and not to do. We were extremely impressed!! Definitely will be back later for more of their new up and coming products, and we look forward to seeing them again at OR2017!!

Came in for my new Mt Rainier extended rtt. The tent is perfect and I love it. Customer service is outstanding. I did the self install which they allowed me to do in their parking lot. I broke some of the hardware and rendered other hardware useless. Really disappointed in myself. They saw me struggling and finished the install for me. Not only that, I got all my questioned answered and a full tour around the finished product. Couldnt be more impressed.

Purchased a Summit Mt Rainier EV. The Summit series is a little more rugged and comes with a few perks like lighting and charging ports. Without any indication on their website and despite several back and forth emails and multiple phone calls PRIOR to purchasing a RTT, I was not made aware that the camo color does not include the lighting and charging ports. Even after notifying CVT after I received the tent, their associate could not give me an immediate answer. He did offer me the chance to pay out of my own pocket to purchase their light. Its just the principle and the fact that if Im going to spend thousands of dollars on a RTT, I would like to know exactly what I am getting and what Im paying for. I would have even returned it for a different color but their customer service was not very helpful. All else considered, unfortunately, its a good tent. I hate to love it. BL: Im currently building my own overland trailer and rig and wont be giving them my business anymore.

My husband and I bought our CVT tent and awning back in 2010. We love it! It has held up great over the past 6 years. It still looks brand new. We have gotten so much use out of our tent. The quality is amazing! I am very impressed. I have gone back to CVT a few times over the past year to buy some accessories. Each time I go in I am welcomed like I am one of the family. Bobby is really fun to work with. I would highly recommend CVT tents to anyone looking for a more fun alternative to traditional camping!

The only thing better than the awesome tents at Cascade Vehicle Tents is the customer service that Bobby and his staff provide. I have used my CVT tents in every type of weather possible and from feet of snow to gusts topping 60 mph and have yet to be let down. The tents are built tough to last and the set up is a breeze. I highly recommend CVT tents to anyone looking for a roof top tent. CVT = AMAZING!

I recently took advantage of CVTs moving sale and was able to buy a used rental tent of theirs. Besides the normal wear and tear on the cover, the tent was flawless. Jared at CVT stayed late to assist me with the install on the truck and made me feel like if there was ever an issue, I could give them a call and they would make it right.After using the tent for several weeks now, I notice some weak area that CVT should invent a little TLC with and improve. The Velcro straps on the cover should be replaced with buckles. The screws fastening the straps to the frame should be replaced with bolts. Finally, the old square ladder design needs to be changed to lower the overall height of the tents. This as I understand has been changed to a new telescoping ladder.As I continue to use my rooftop tent, I know that I am going to run into other design changes, but I know that as CVT begins to make these enhancements, I will be able to order the upgrade replacement parts as needed.Overall, CVT is an excellent company with an amazing staff and following in the outdoor adventure world. Their rooftop tents and equipment are made with great materials and I look forward to using mine for many years.

The staff seems decent but the Bobby guy only cares about money and doing things cheap. My install was done to his instructions overruling what I wanted and what the his staff recommended. Hate my setup! I have to drive 5 hours to get them to fix it and they want to charge me to get it back to the way I wanted it in the first place.

They sell something for ya to sleep in. On top of a car even! What will they think of next? We bought one too. Its fun cause we dont think the bears can reach us. Especially when we start screaming.

Great staff. They answered my countless questions and helped me pick out a great tent for the family. They may seem pricey but compared to similar products, you get more for your dollar. After buying the tent, they helped me load the thing onto my truck (not an easy thing - over 200lbs).

I have my tent for almost 4 years now! Best tent on the market, the owner even deliver my orders on his way to Moab!!! My kids love to go camping and spending time in the tent. We went through heavy rain, 50 mph wins and snow with no problems!!!

Love this place except that every time I show up I drop more money on camping gear. Great folks and they have been running great specials as the season gets started.

Haven’t gone into the store for awhile but when I have they have been extremely helpful, Bobby’s a good dude and means well! Happy with my cvt! Great product! My tent feel like it was made of steel, strong fabric and light materials but some how feels strong! I just put it on for the summer and was blown alway again by the idea and quality of these tents. One complaint I have is that I I want to switch to new racks but just for some new racks your looking at around 500-700 them. By the time I am done with this tent I am going to be 5000 dollars it feels like. Either way keep up the good quality tents and hopefully we can find a better cheaper solution for the truck bed racks.

After two absolutely horrible customer service experiences with this company I am forced to write a review to warn others about the terrible customer service/support this company has. Unfortunately Bobby and is management staff dont have the time for customers anymore, they wont respond to issues or address them in a timely manner. Wish this wasnt the case, I have loved my tent but if you are reading this, just check out other manufacturers prior to getting any CVT product. Check out brands like FSR, Tepui, ARB, Smittybuilt or Front Runner.Hopefully you future consumers dont make the same mistake I did and this review helps you out.

Highly recommend! Weve had our rooftop tent for 3 1/2 years and use it often. We lived out of it for a summer during wildland fire season, then lived out of it through a 3-month winter road trip as we skiied all over the US. Holds up great to snow and wind, but I would suggest keeping the zipper lubed often with hemp oil or something else - dust tends to make it stick pretty bad. When our velcro wore out, we stopped by CVT in Bend to buy new ones, and Bobby insisted we pull our car into the warehouse to let it dry out over night (it was the middle of winter), so he let us stay in one of the floor models while our tent dried, and ended up hooking us up with a couple of the improvements they had made on the tent since wed bought it. We tell everyone that story, because it was such a trusting, heart-felt thing for them to do for us, that was never asked of them, or expected. That was a couple years ago, and now we just bought an awning from them, love it. If youre going to give a company your hard earned dollars, their business is a wonderful one to support.
