HammerDown is by far the best shop in town! All staff are incredibly friendly and fun to talk to. Everyone is super knowledgeable and they want to share that knowledge. Great experience......extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Needed a few magazines for my Glock Pistol and KelTec Sub 2000. Marty went out of his way to help me with several options. Definitely let my SEAL Teammates in town and other retired military buddies know these guys are legit.

Go here if you want to be hammered. I bought a new rifle and then decided it wasnt a good fit. I had never fired it and was still new in the box. Took it back to trade into something else because they said they would treat me right. They wanted $300 to take it back plus the full price of another gun. I had planned on buying a second rifle from them but now I will never go back there again.

Walked in with intentions of spending well over $1k as they had what I wanted in stock. Two associates were helping customers, one was stocking a shelf and talking to another who was doing nothing. I was ignored for over 10 minutes. No acknowledgement whatsoever. After making a few rounds through the store I decided to take my business elsewhere. Could have been because I was wearing jeans and a T-shirt and didnt look like a big spender. Who knows.

Poor service, took over an hour and having to ask them multiple times to find my rifle I had sent to them, they could not find the magazine that was in the box. When I asked to purchase a box of ammo they said they would get it, and went to helping another customer.

Customer service beyond expectation. The staff was attentive and answered questions respectfully even when I presented a potential barrel swap that was a pain in the a××. They cut me the difference on the barrel and sent my wife and I on our way with the perfect matches for our experiment with reflex optics. They stand out in town for pistol variety which is warranted, only wish they had more options for optics.

They were extremely helpful and have a great selection of hand guns and rifles. They also have some unique guns and mussel loaders. Definitely my new goto gun shop in central Oregon.

Ok long rant time, here is a break down of my review. I went in to drop off my 30-06 browning over 2 months ago for a few repairs. A few weeks later and I received a call from them about the diagnosis and a quote of 65$ for the repairs with an extra charge of ~115$ if I wanted them to deep clean the gun. I said no on the cleaning and go ahead on the repair. I asked if it would be done by hunting season and they assured me it would around a month. The parts coming in were delayed because of covid and they didn’t actually arrive until last week. This was over 2 months of waiting for the parts and repairs to be done. I wasn’t upset because I understand the market and the shipping delays. I have a spare rifle to hunt with so it’s was fine. I get a call today that the rifle is ready to be picked up so I drive in from sisters (where I live, ~40min drive) to pick up the rifle. During check out he stated the price was going to be 115$ which was over the quoted price. Didn’t question it because there was a part break down and there were other parts needed than the original repair quote. Fine. ~40$ extra is not a big deal. I’m in a rush to get to a meeting so I pay. I give the rifle a quick look over and seems like everything I brought it in for was fixed. I end up leaving and going back to sisters. After the meeting I head out to the range to zero the rifle. I notice something on the gun is missing. The bipod. They forgot to put the bipod back on the rifle. I’m a little ticked because now I have to drive all the way back to bend and figure out what happened to the bipod. I get inside and tell them when I have them the rifle for repair it had a bipod on it. They asked what the name of the bipod was. I didn’t know. It was whatever was on the rifle. One of the employees heads in the back to look for missing bipod. He comes back out and says he can’t find it and believes it must have been misplaced. At this point I’m pretty ticked off because how do you misplace a paying customers equipment.... he offers to give me a new bipod and I told them yes because how different can a bipod be. It’s not a critical part of the gun. He proceeds to give be a 6 inch bipod. Way too small. The one on my rifle was at least 12” extended. He ends up having to take a used bipod off of a different rifle. Hands it to me and sends me on my way. I head back to my car and after a bit of thinking told myself I needed to go back in there and have them put it on the rifle. I should get my gun back in it’s original condition or better right? I take it back in and ask him to put it on the gun for me. He proceeds to put the bipod on the rifle but doesn’t take the time to tighten down the eye bolt and make sure that everything is in working order. He comes back out and explains that the eye bolt is loose and is what is making the bipod wobble but all I have to do is tighten it myself. I take the gun and leave. I’m pretty fed up with this business and will be recommending everyone I know to stay away.

Knowledgeable staff, good selection & convenient location. They recently helped me with some very technical questions pertaining to semiautomatic firearms and supressor selection, leading me to finding the equipment that made sense for me. Really good and honest people too.

I placed an order with classic firearms for a pistol, 500 rnds of 9mm ammo and a magazine using hammer down as the ffl dealer. The pistol transaction went fine. Cf erred and failed to provide a tracking number for remainder of the order until yesterday after close of buisness. FedEx confirmed the shipment arrived the day prior. No courtesy call was given by hammer down. Today after several calls it was revealed my shipment went into their stock was was sold. Yes they refunded my cost (sans shipping) but they still turned a tidy profit given they had no investment in the product sold. Additionally. I told the staff that I would be in before closing and the owner was already gone for the day. Through all this the staff provided very nonchalant service stating it wasnt their problem or fault.Theyve lost my future buisness and any endorsements. The magazine is still missing. Be it their fault or cfs is yet to be determined. Quality customer serving does not exist at hammer down firearms. Do not do buisness with this store.

I set out yesterday with my sights set on a decent self defense gun that could also drop a cougar if need be (for a camping trip). My initial choice was a marlin 30-30 but that proves to be problematic as I had different price expectations. Regardless, I wandered into this shop after some hunting around and a B E A Utiful little ruger caught my eye. Guy I talked to, who’s name escapes me unfortunately was very knowledgeable and credible I’m my opinion, I paid what I think was a very fair price for a gun with two clips and a holster plus some great ammo. Took the gun out shooting same day and it performed great. These guys are great, knowledgeable and fair. Eric was also very pleasant to deal with. Best part? Super fast background check! I was in and out in about 1 hour including shopping time. If you’re looking for good firearms (and they have an extensive selection) and something reliable and at a good price, definitely give these guys a visit. I will certainly return for my next purchase.

Dont go to Trigger Happy. They are not true to their word...in fact, caught them in several lies. They take your money up front & dont deliver when promised. The owner, Eric, is extremely rude...& only recently posted a visible return policy AFTER the sale. Could have shopped elsewhere such as Deschuttes Armory where stock is plentiful, with no wait, & no ridiculous $300. re-stocking charge! I would not trust Trigger Happy Guns under any circumstances. Hands down the worst gun shop Ive ever been too. You all know the guy that you meet at the range who has all the best stuff and his AR decked out but the guy cant hit a cow at 3 yards. This is the gun shop version of that guy. I paid for a pistol and then tried to get my money back the next day. They delivered it to me 7 days later. They tried to charge me a $300 restocking fee even though the gun had not shipped. Long story short walk in and if this isnt the AR guy Id pay you money.

This is a fantastic place to buy a new or used gun. Eric and Ken really know what customer service is all about. Their 30 day exchange policy is the best. I have recently used it twice, they totally understood and fit me into a weapon that I believe will fit all my needs.

Asked for dummy rounds and one guy laughed at me. Other guy there was more helpful. They seemed to have a good selection of parts, but Id rather be treated better elsewhere.

Most disgusting and disappointing experience I’ve ever had with another person. Eric is his name. I can’t speak to anyone else, but if you’re not communicating well with your customer, let another coworker take over.Extremely deceptive and sketchy. DO NOT GO HERE. He then wasted an extra 3 days of our vacation. Eric wouldn’t give us any information as to when our order would be in, and kept jumping to “you can sue me”. He was very quick to be aggressive and even hung up on us with us still not knowing what’s going on.

Eric and Ken are very helpfull, they always make you feel welcome. There prices are reasonable too. A little out of the way but well worth it. If your in the neighbor hood stop by and say hello.

I have been involved in the shooting sports for many years. Also have done business with many different shops. Each shop has its own personality some not so good. Eric and his team are always busy each time I go in to see them to look or buy, they are always direct and to the point. If you need sweet talk this may not be your store, but if you want professional information and service read on.Here is the meat of the matter, 4 weeks ago I went in to look at a Ruger Blackhawk convertible in 45 colt. They did not have one in stock but promptly got online to his distributor and looked them up for what was available. I already have have two other Blackhawk 3 screws that I have shot since a little kid so I know the guns well. He gave me a very competitive number, I left to think about it. Next day we ordered it, 5 days later arrived. Went to the range and noticed the front sight was tilted, Ruger put it together wrong. Back to the gun shop and with out hesitation Eric told me he would handle it. 8 days later I had a brand new perfect 45 LC convertible.The rest of the meat, I know I could not have gotten this service from a online store. For a few dollars more I spent my money here in my home town store and enjoyed each aspect of the purchase.They are men of there word and also have a great in store additional warranty, You cant go wrong with these guys.Happy shooter!

This place is awesome. I was driving around to different gun shops comparing prices for my first AR. This was the second shop I went to, and my experience was amazing. I don’t have much experience with ARs, and shopping can be extremely overwhelming due to inexperience with guns. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They even dropped down prices and were very reasonable. Kudos to you guys and thanks for this badass AR.

Overall Id definitely recommend Trigger Happy Guns, as their prices are reasonably cheap, they offer a wide variety of guns and ammo, and the individuals working there are patient, kind, and knowledgeable.

I have been in the store a couple of times and they have a good selection and are very friendly. My only issue is they are by far the most expensive place in town to buy firearms. Looked at a Taurus curve a while back and the price was higher than msrp. I called about the Sig P365 today and his price is $100 over msrp (firearms street prices are almost always less than msrp). When I mentioned the price being higher than msrp, I was told theyre kind of hard to find right now. So take advantage of firearm enthusiasts by sticking it to them with high prices? I will wait a month a pay $538 at another dealer. I buy at least one firearm a month but wont be buying any from a dealer that takes advantage if there customers. Go to Lost Creek or Double Tap and get better service and prices.

This guy sells used gun as bran new, just make sure you are really getting a new gun not a old used one. Eric told me I was buying a bran new HK pistol. Got it home and the test shell casing was from 2003, I asked him about it and he said it was a customer trade in, how can a customer trade in be sold as new? I was giving a full refund but these shady business practices are not acceptable to me. Please make sure you are really getting a new gun not a 13 year old used gun sold as NEW
