Convenient, fair price and everything available

Normally I would give this place about three stars because of the prices. Theyre high. They do have specials which are low priced and so I go there to just buy those. However, today I have to give them some props because I was looking for bulgar wheat and they had it. Whole Foods in Trader Joes did not have Bulger but these guys did. The moral is if youre looking for something that not everybody carries Star Market is probably your best bet.

Staff here are fantastic. They enforce mask mandates and the checkout workers are efficient.

I actually went there for the pharmacy..... And it was a very pleasant experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful, answered all my questions. From what I can see all of the staff in the main store seemed friendly as well.

Huge store with a variety if goods available. The fruit is fresh and looks very appetising. The hot food deli offers a variety of foods so meal time need not be a hassle.

Pretty solid place, clean isles good deals and kind staff. only complaint they wont sell you alcohol with an out of state id unless your 25+ but i dont think thats decided by this particular store.

This store also sells alcohol compared to one at Porter Square. Very nice ppl to help out in the aisles and also at checkout

Great place to buy your alcohol. If you purchase six bottles of wine you get 10% more off their already low prices

Had what I wanted and what I needed! Yes, they are more pricey than other markets of similar size, as well as larger locations, but, again, I found exactly what I needed and wanted! Store is very clean! I mean the entire store: floors, product shelves, walls, service registers and conveyer belts, etc. If you dont want to waste time getting to and through the lager stores, Then head to this Star Market location!

Rating is based solely on the disgusting, unsafe state of the public bathroom. The single stall, unisex bathroom door handle was falling off and didnt lock. The bathroom was very dirty. I know its hard to keep up with public bathrooms but their upkeep reflects on a stores cleanliness behind the scenes.

I love it, the store is clean, they have a variety of products, not to forget a nice bottle chardonnay. Super!!!

My favorite grocery! Clean and lots of options

Not a bad assortment of goods, reasonable prices. Clean grocery with good service, excellent parking nearby.

Convenient location and easy to get in and out of (except for that pesky light that backs up traffic sometimes). Otherwise it has everything you need, normal grocery store stuff, bakery, deli, etc. This one also has a Starbucks and liquor, beer, and wine, and has ample self-serve checkout lanes!! Which is awesome...because they never have ample staff. But I dont care as much about that if its a one-stop shop, which it is.

I have a big family and we buy groceries very often, about once every 2-3 days. This is one of the favorite grocery stores, always fresh products and friendly service.

This is my go-to food market which I have frequented for many years.

I usually give this star a bad review bc of the clerks... So I hardly go here... Today I had the best clerk he was polite ... friendly... and helpful as were the deli staff and the stockers... I went around 9:30 am ...the place was clean and the isles were very well marked...

What I need at a low price.

They had a very nice Poppy Seed & Lemon flavor cake, but they just removed it from their bakery list. Please bring it back. It was the only cake not loaded by too much sugar and I could enjoy it!

Good-sized, well-presented supermarket. Due to its size and location in a more residential area than other Star Market sites, this store has a wider variety of offerings. That being said, the sushi and pizza were bad. The pizza might be okay if the staff didnt put one slice on top of the other. Come on, really?

Very good selection of groceries and ample parking. The store is well organized and clean in appearance.

The worst star market on the planet. Not one head of ice burg lettuce in the store. Shelves poorly stocked.Very very dissatisfied 😡😡.

They recnently renovated natural juice, fruits, vegetables refrigerators. It looks better and more safe enough to prevent unnecessary touches.

3 bags of food $96! Absolutely ridiculous! At Market Basket i could have bought enough food for a week for that money. Wayyy overpriced

Itll generally have what you need. More expensive than Market Basket, though. $3 for a protein bar. Good if you need something quick and you live nearby, but youll feel it on your wallet if you do your shopping here regularly.

Its close,everything I need is there prices n quality of meats is spot on, veggie n fruit, always fresh, people are helpful n nice,,have scooters for th handicap wide ailses, even have Electric hookups for EV cars..!!

Didnt have what I wanted

I wish the store was larger. Because they keep discontinuing things I like because theres no room. Alcohol really cut down on variety but, I like that I can get it there.

Always have quality items, very well managed business.

Appreciate that even if slow to change and get a little global, it IS happening. People are helpful and courteous, always a lovely thing in stores. The drug store (Osco) is the best of any in this area

Clean. However, some of the departments produce and bakery have incorrect PLU labeling and often dont have items that are on their local flyer. Too often, have I had to get or bring the correct PLU at checkout.

Excellent selection

BEWARE during the pandemic of this store. Went here on a Saturday, and no one counting people outside or in, it was a free for all to come and go. There is a sign stating 100 person capacity but if no one counts who come and goes then what good is it. Also no one was wiping down cart. People were dropping them and taking them like everything was normal. MARKET BASKET has great procedures with capacity management and cart cleans. The best is Trader Joe’s in Brighton. They keep all carts separate from what’s clean and what’s dirty, they sanitizer your hands when you enter etc. Star Market Belmont is just a pool of germs and no accountability. Staff wearing masks below there nose etc. stay away from this market.

This was my first and last time in this store, cashier doesn’t even bother to great customers, very rude. Not much organic selection in most areas other than veggies and meats. I’m not going to shop somewhere that the cashiers and baggers look miserable and can’t bother to say hello back after was said to them. They were to busy chatting with someone in the other lane! Employees represent your brand.. get new ones who care for their jobs

Big store, well stocked, with all your favorite things. Prices are good, and plenty of sale items every week. They sell flowers, as well as plants and flowers for your garden. To top things of, besides the bank inside, there is a Starbucks inside!!!!Parking can be tight at times.

Friendly staff, clean environment, nice Tesla charging station on the property and most of the time the staff can help find products. The price is higher than places like Market Basket.

Above average staff. They seem to have a slightly more limited selection of products then other supermarkets. I could not find Stouffers stuffed green peppers but I found everything else I needed.

Priciest of all the grocery stores, but convenient.This location offers a Citizens bank, a Starbucks and pharmacy, as well as offering beer & wine.The staff is a combination of high school-aged employees & retail lifers. Its an eclectic mix.Pros? Most often, staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. When there are sales, it can be a very fruitful experience.Cons? The price. Also, watch the sales - sometimes the products can be past the date. Also, the customer service desk and deli close before the store, which can be inconvenient. Too, some of the veteran staff are grumpy, some of the teens can be inattentive.

Terrible, they refused to refund me by mail... After a long ride home, and an expensive bottle of wine broken, glass everywhere. Due to THEIR negligent bags, and bagging...Rude employee on the phone saying manager?? After it was COMPLETELY clear I asked to speak to the manager of the store!Will never shop there again!Will be posting this everywhere online until I am refunded for the wine, and food that was RUINED!NEGATIVE stars deserved, they make you choose at least one to post your review.

The shopping center of star market I meet this lady Leslie and she helped me find stuff and She was very kind and considerate and polite and she knew everything where they were so she help me a great deal and if you could possibly give a thumbs up or a Silverstar I’m sorry a gold star to Leslie that would be huge because she deserves it thank you have a great day

Basic grocery store. Well organized with friendly staff. Theres a Starbucks inside, if you need a coffee fix.We choose Star Market because they have super fresh produce and the absolute best flowers.

Not a bad store. Recently renovated, new products like beer and wine, but at the cost of shelf space for other items, variety is down. Prices are high even for the area. Nice Starbucks inside the store. Decent FLORIST. Good fresh vegetable selection. Mediocre bakery. The Sushi bar seems pretty fresh (for a grocery store) never had any issues with the raw fish.

Everyone loves star thats why theyre called Star marketI mean its above average for most supermarkets but it doesnt compare to the big guys like Wegmans

Its convenient and not crowded, but a bit sterile. Its the anti Whole Foods, and thats good and bad. I use it for quick buys when I dont feel like going too far. Its pretty close to my home. You certainly wouldnt want to go out of your way to ship here. Having said that, if youre reasonably close its a decent choice. It has a good pharmacy in store and even a small bank branch. They also recently obtained a full liquor license and have two large isles of beer, wine and booze. Its an extensive selection.

Good store with quality produce and meats. They also carry a full selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Pretty high prices though compared to stop and shop. Oh and they dont carry frozen bagels, which IMO, is weird. However, their in store bagels are pretty good.

Shaws = good place for food posiningLoved this store when it was Star Market, but under Shaws management customer service has dropped. I bought some chicken here that smelled awful when I got home too cook it. Returned it, which was a huge hassle, and they wouldnt refund the full amount. There was zero concern that their chicken could have gone bad and they should check on the other chicken. Then they left another package of chicken on the counter at room temp. Who knows how long that package will sit there before going back to the fridge.

Remodeling, moving everything around, yuck. But now it has a better Starbucks, pastry and cheese center. And alcohol! Friendly people and a bank office with good hours.

Clean environment

Star Market in Windham is my favorite place to grocery shop. Small lines and easy to navigate the store.Also having Osco Pharmacy in there is a huge plus! Fill 3 prescriptions and get 20% off up to $200 I believe... but my family fills the prescriptions there as well. Easy app to use and a unbelievablely friendly pharmacist staff!

Its alright, the produce section is pretty weak I tend to feel and they have a few oddities that set it apart. They do sell alcohol which is fantastic just make sure you are over 25 if you have an out of state ID. They dont seem to carry anything in a large quantity meaning rice, peanut butter, etc. tends to max out in the medium sizes. The employees are solid though and its rarely too crowded

The ONLY reason to give this store a 1 is their Osco pharmacy, which is exceptional for their compassion and friendliness and professionalism.I know the competition is tough on grocery stores but the products are repellent. Its sad because you can see they are making upgrades to the store but the food is low-quality AND expensive. Plus, they hire people who dont speak ENGLISH, at all. So, asking questions is useless thats why customer service is a big, fat ZERO.This grocery store is one of Dantes 7 circles of hell.

Best salad bar in town. Its like Vegas, tons of options, you almost are sad cause you cant take some of everything.I came here for 4 years straight for lunch at work, for salad... I remember those days fondly. (Stares off into space, remembering the bean salad mixes, the beets, and the sunflower seeds)....

I guess I find this place more pleasant than any grocery store closer to Boston. It has a weird tendency to not have things I want though, like non-expensive 3 packs of chicken breast, or the non-fancy kind of Turkey Hill ice cream.Id rather take the time to go to Hannaford.

This is not necessarily a review for s Star Market per se, which I think in general does a good job, but to one cashier employee. I know some times we have bad days, but today one employee at Star Market in Belmont was rude. I briefly mentioned it to the store manager, and I hope they take measures to improve their customer service attention.
