I took my car here because it was making a knocking noise. Within a few hours, I got call from them saying my motor was completely shot and I needed a new engine. My heart sank because I knew it would be costly. The mechanic then proceeded to tell me that there was a recall on my engine and I should take it to the dealership and they would possibly replace my engine for free. I took my car to the dealership a few days later and thankfully, they are replacing my engine free of charge. I am so thankful for the information that I received from these guys at Bellwood Auto Repair. They were honest. They didn’t take advantage of my situation and they saved me thousands of dollars. Even though they didn’t do any work on my car, they definitely gained a new customer

I do not live nearby but my car broke down at the gas station next door. It would not even try to start after I got out. I suspected the starter right away. I was worried about not knowing them but I figured I was stuck and they were literally right next door. The guy walked over and looked at my car in the gas station and was going to not take money if we got it started just with a jump or something. No go. He explains to me it is either the starter or the ignition switch. Says if it is the starter it would be 300 and be about 1.5 hours to do once they get it in. They did and I made it to work before noon. Great price and the squeezed me in as quickly as they could without warning to try and help me out. They were honest and upfront. Definitely would recommend and wish they were located closer to me so I could give them more work.

Good place,Fair prices, they either do the job for you with their parts and labor or you can get your own parts and bring to them and theyll just charge you the labor to due the job. People are nice here.
