Staff(owner?) very helpful and knowledgeable. Community minded in that they accept usable cameras and equipment to support the photography class they offer to high school students. Only place in town that developes film, even negatives that are 56 years old!

They have equipment new and used for sale,picture restoration,enlargements,tools for the darkroom,albums and honestly if you cant find it,they may be able to get for you.The owners are great people and most accommodating for your needs.I had camera equipment that I consigned with them. The experience has been excellent, they have worked with me and made me feel comfortable with their ability to sell my equipment . Considering our relationship started the same time as Covid,with shut downs,social distancing and fear,its amazing what they accomplished.

Been a customer of theirs for some time and UNFAILINGLY have gotten great service and excellent work. Ive never had a problem with equipment bought there; negatives are printed well even when the exposure is off, and digital files are done with attention to detail that I as a professional appreciate a great deal. Theyve had to make some tough decisions during COVID but took the time to explain what and why. Great people, great work!

Would give 4.5 if possible. Their print quality, at least for 4x6, is much crisper and brighter than what youd get at a place like Costco (different process, same manufacturer). The online ordering is very easy to use, but you have to be careful with the presets; what you see is what you get, even the fake shadow on the edge of your photo.

I went to try to get a passport photo—it said on the website “no appointment necessary” when I went in I asked for one and they were extremely rude and condescending saying “she’s wrong, it does not say that anywhere on our website, we’re fully booked today.” I tried to show her where it said it on the website simply to let them know! but I was met with such rude service for no reason. I would’ve been happy to make an appointment but the way they spoke to me lost my business.

Go here for passport photos (esp digital ones) dont waste your time elsewhere. Went to three different shops in town looking for a digital (yes they exist) passport photo for an EU passport. The reason being is my countrys foreign affairs department is closed physically due to covid, so theyre requiring a photo upload of passport photos.Every shop I went to was bemused by the technological adjective I added and pretty much told me they would be impossible and one shop tried to argue its existence with me. I called quicksilver and they instantly booked me a time and got it done within 10 minutes. Never trusting another photo lab outside of quicksilver in this city again. You guys have my business!

I was in a rush to get a passport photo and my toddler was not wanting to take any photos-they were so great at making her feel better. We had a bad photo from another store and they were able to touch it up and make it passable for the passport! The people who work there are wonderful & caring!

Best place in the world for Canadian passport photos. Little expensive (20.60 after tax) but pictures were clear, and the service was quick and easy. They know everything about the Canadian passport photo requirements and assure that the measurements are correct. They even show you the photo of you before they process it. Oh my goodness! This place rocks. My husband is an amazing photographer, and we’ve paid premium prices to have the best online labs process his photos. We have found Quicksilver was able to deliver even higher quality compared to anything online and they are local. The staff is helpful and really care about your photos. Quicksilver is the real deal. Film scans and development have always been great and everyone is very helpful with questions and concerns. Customer service here is paramount - I couldnt be happier with their help on a number of issues. And their consignment case is always brimming with interesting equipment - both vintage and modern.

Awesome film shop equipped with their own b and w film processing, film, filters caps and other accessories. As well as some cameras and lenses too. They are super friendly and really helpful. I will be going here as long as i am in need of anything film related. Also they do do color film as well as passpprt photos.

I have found the staff to be more than helpful. They take all the time I require to teach me what I want to know. They are kind and graceful with my kids, who are just learning about photography. I recommend Quicksilver for printing photos, and small items for the camera bag.

Unprofessional, and they promote false advertisement of quality service. I went for a photo restoration and it took them several months to finish it. In addition, when I arrived, my photo was not printed and I had to wait. Then I came home and I saw that they did not print out the paper material that I had requested AND it was not restored completely. The bottom of the photo was at the same condition. I came back once again just to tell me to come back AGAIN the next day. I put my foot down and said that they need to get it done in 15 minutes or I will be asking for my money back. Of course, they did. That will be the first and last I will bring my business to them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND QUICKSILVER PHOTO LAB to anybody. Its a waste of money, time, and I was not satisfied with the finish product at all.

Feels just like a mom and pop shop when you walk in. Offers developing and photo finishing services, as well as a selection of used cameras and lenses, all priced fairly well. Also offers a decent selection of accessories for photography. Prices overall are decent and competitive, especially the development costs - youd be hard pressed to find a mail-in place with similar prices.

5 weeks ago I dropped my best lens off at Quicksilver here in Bellingham for a repair. After several attempts trying to get it back, they finally admitted it was lost. Now it is found, returned, and not fixed. These guys are great when it comes to buying stuff they have in their store, but do not go there for services. Cost me $20 to get my still broken lens back.

The staff at Quicksilver is TOPS. I am mostly old-school photography, growing up in the darkroom of my professional photographer dad, who also taught the next generation of photographers... these guys are of that generation - the last chemical photography generation. But they not only understand it to its foundations, they also are state-of-the-art in the digital world too. The internet cant hold a candle to the staffs collective knowledge and KNOW-HOW in the world of photography, and I know of no other in-person shop as competent. I have yet to bring them a problem they couldnt completely penetrate and master. Their presence in town is worth its weight in silver bromide many times over!!!

I went in for passport photos and after waiting some time, was eventually served by a gruff unsmiling bearded man. He took a terrible photo, (it looked like one taken in a morgue), the colors were gray and the back light was too low. I eventually had to go somewhere else to have decent photos taken. I would not go back to this establishment for any purpose.
