Adam is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I bought an Access Port from him and he has helped me find the correct tune for my vehicle and is very responsive. I am having to go back and forth because my car is showing signs of having some underlying problems that have nothing to do with the tune. Adam is being very gracious with his time and schedule and fitting me in so I can have my car running properly in a timely manner. I highly recommend going to NWRS for all things relating to your Subaru!

NW Rallysports is amazing. I live 3 hours away but came up to Bellingham specifically to buy a Subaru and have Adam inspect it. He went out of his way to come in on a Sunday just to make sure I wasnt getting a lemon. Did a full workup in his day off. They will get all my business when it comes to anything Subaru. Well worth the drive.

A++ Service! Even though NRS is primarily Subaru, they did a great job helping me with a Magnaflow exhaust system for my 2019 Ford Escape. So my experience with a local Subaru dealership has lead me to drop this review for NWRS. The techs here were accurately able to diagnose a troublesome misfire I was having on my Legacy, as well as inform me of all other potential repairs I may need down the road. Unfortunately they did not have the required dealership software to program the new ECM my vehicle required. So fast forward a week, I begrudgingly drop my car off at Subaru for them to correct the issue. They confirm the original diagnosis NWRS had found, quoted me msrp for the new ECM then stated it would take a total of 1.5 hrs to complete the repair, on top of the 1 hr diag charge (2 additional hours required for a leak down / compression test) which I refused as NWRS had already performed these tests (with no additional charge).Needless to say, bring your work to these guys... Theyre honest, open with communication and prompt about the work they perform. Ill be seeing you gents again soon, I wish you couldve completed this ECM repair for me !!

Probably the most competitively priced Subaru mechanic in Whatcom county. They do really high quality work from what I can tell, havent experienced any issues so far. Most of their services come with warranties. I had my head gaskets replaced with them, with my car being one of the older subarus which are prone to that kind of failure. Overall very satisfied. If I could suggest one improvement it to change how they document their inspection process; it would be nice to see some kind of document or record of the inspections and what services they recommend, including pictures and technician notes.

Adam at NW Rally Sports is easily the best Subaru mechanic/shop (and auto shop in general) Ive ever had experience with.Hes worked on our 98 Legacy GT for quite a few years now, and hes the reason its approaching 240,000 miles and still going strong. My first experience with him was for a head gasket replacement, and his prices were well below other shops had quoted me. Right from the get go I knew I was getting straight, honest information on my car.Since then I havent looked anywhere else.I definitely recommend him for any Subaru needs, from simple to complex and I would not take a Subaru anywhere else.

Id like to think I am pretty mechanically savvy, but when it came to the wheel bearing in my Subaru I was in short of the tools and experience to get the job done. After getting a quote from a dealership I was alarmed at the proposed labor costs and the unavailabilty of the parts, so I looked for another alternative. A handful of friends recommended Adam at Northwest Rally Sports, and after a quick phone call I was over at his shop. Parts were available the day of, and the job was done within an episode of Top Gear. Also with the low overhead, the job was completed at almost half the price of the dealership. Adam is a great guy with lots of experience, very straight foreword, and wastes no time.

Moving To the PNW from Southern California makes it hard to find a good place to take your Subaru. What makes the search even more difficult is when you have a modified Subaru. The guys here are very knowledgeable. I feel it’s important to have trust in the people you leave your car with. I completely trust NWRS with my car. There’s nothing better then having the piece of mind knowing your car is in good hands.

I havent seen one bad review. It means theyre probably not legit because people hate shops and if your women the bill goes through the roof. I had my car looked at one shop they couldnt fix it. Bad reviews automatically and great reviews to the shop that did fix it. Five stars from me is unfair but what the hell it either could be one or five. 4. 6 stars can only mean they should know Subaru like the back of their hand and not jerk you around. Shops not jerking you around. Thats something new.

They really deserve your business if you have a Subaru.Brought in my 2003 WRX to have the short block and turbo replaced. Originally I was going to pay for a staged block, but they had an extra 2.3 liter stroker that another customer didnt want in his setup anymore. They gave me the block for the same price as their stage 1 block (it put out 380 on the dyno). A hell of a deal.Johan was very good at communicating everything as the repair progressed and they stuck close to the price they quoted. There was no surprise when they gave me a final quote, Johan honored his word.I got the car back today and boy does it feel good to be in something that pulls again.Solid work from a solid shop.

Took my Subaru wrx here for a inspection upon selling it. Me and the potential buyer agreed he would pay for it and this is where we decided. I was worried with the reviews Ive heard about them from others but agreed to give them a try anyway. After receiving the inspection report from the potential buyer I noticed quite an extensive list of things that need to be fixed or replaced. I also noticed some of the things mentioned have already been replaced or fixed by reputable shops in the area in the last couple months including (clutch, alignment, etc). The inspection listed said I need a lot of repairs some very major including head gasket leak, bad turbo, right front axle rubbing on frame, altnerator, valve cover gaskets leaking, water pump leaking, coolent hoses. (Over $6000 in repairs) The report seemed very questionable and only had a list and no explanation, evidence, or description for the problems. They forgot to tell the potential buyer that it was just a visual inspection as well without any tests used. I learned this as well after finally getting a hold of the owner. The potential buyer and I decided to take it to another shop we both trusted for an inspection since the inspection report from nw rally threw a lot of flags. He even paid for this inspection too since his expierence with nw rally was poor. After another inspection it turns out they were right on a few small things like the alternator, coolent hoses, valve cover gaskets, but they were wrong on the biggest items and the majority of the repairs they listed including the head gasket, front axle rubbing frame, having a bad turbo, needing a new clutch, needing a alignment, water pump leaking. Even though the owner was very nice I would not recommend this shop to anyone!

If you want honest, loyal, trustworthy, hardworking and caring mechanics, then you need to take your car here.I have been taking my Subarus to NWRS for almost 10 years and there has never been a time that I have been disappointed. The rates are fair, the service is excellent and you can tell all of these guys love what they do, which is why they put 110% into your car.Adam has always been upfront and honest with me about any work and is an excellent mechanic. Hes even spent time after work helping me and my parents with their Subaru as well as taking frantic calls from me about having my keyless entry stolen and how do I get the alarm to shut off!?!?!!? Hes always willing to help and cares about his customers and their cars.Matt is also just as great and I love that Adam has hired on such amazing help.I recommend NWRS any chance I can get and I will continue to do.

Took my subaru wrx to this shop because they specialize in Subarus. Off the bat the shop seemed nice and the owner Adam seemed like a good guy. My car had a misfire in cylinder #1 so i had them do a full vehicle inspection which I figured would cover that. They were not clear on this so on to of paying for the inspection i paid an extra 60$ for a diagnosis, and found out that the vehicle inspection was not needed. While they were doing the unneeded inspection they broke a piece of my radiator off and cost me and additional 600$ to replace a part that was just fine before they got their hand on it.As for the misfire diagnosis, they did some testing and place the blame of the problem on a faulty fuel injector. They replaced it and nothing changed, their was still a misfire in cylinder#1. For a subaru specialist I feel like you should be able to diagnose a check engine light no problem. When the check engine light came back on I got under the hood to check their work and found that the bolts for the coolant reservoir were not even finger tightened. They were just sitting in this bolt holes completely loose. Upon further inspection I noticed that the fuel injector they replaced and the one next to it were wet with fuel. At this point in time I had to take the car back to the shop to have them go back though and double check their work, which they say on their website that they already do when theyre putting things back together. While I was in their waiting room waiting for them to go back through their work I overheard another angry customer having a conversation with the owner. This lady was had brought her sons car in to get mudflaps installed previously and upon completion of the job they did not tighten the tires back on all the way, and one almost fell off.Over that last week of dealing with this shop I can definitely say that I will not be taking my car back to this shop. They are not straight forward about what their work will entail, I cannot trust them to properly reassemble my car, and I cannot trust them to not bad mouth their customers behind their backs. The owner of a business should act professionally. He shoul not be calling his customers, and I quote, condescending rich stoner kids(which I am none of the above) just because they ask a lot of questions and want straight forward answers about what is being done to their car.
