Awesome owners - we have done training with them and also bought drysuits from the store. There has never any pressure sales, honest rounded advice. Drysuit sizing and option selection was rigorous - one measured dimension was between manufacturer sizes so they corresponded with the manufacturer while we were in the store to make sure the best selection was made - our suits arrived being a great fit. Both the owners and their staff pay attention to details and follow up with advice and tips - they make a serious effort to understand their customers!

My wife and I just finished our SDI open water scuba dive certification with Dry suite and Nitrox. Craig the owner, who also taught our class is unimaginably knowledgeable, experienced and truly loves the sport. We were not in the best shape so we had to slow down the practice dives outside the class pace. He accommodated us and even gave us personal dive training sessions in Puget sound until we completed all our required dives. We really appreciate his emphasis on safety and never pushing us to dive beyond our skill or comfort.

I struggled a lot learning how to dive. My instructor was Cory and he was really invested in helping me with my diving certification. If you want to get your certification I would recommend taking a diving class with him.

Booked a Basic Skills Refresher session at Silent World for an upcoming trip to Maui, and I had a fantastic experience! Shout out to my instructor Katie who was very knowledgeable (and passionate) about the sport. She was very friendly, receptive and engaging, gave very clear instructions and always checked to see if I was okay and understanding the skills. In the pool session I had one-on-one instruction, and I feel very comfortable in the water now as a result.I will definitely return for additional classes, and this is a 5-star dive shop in my book!

These guys are the best shop around, they are the safest, most knowledgeable and highest regarded. As a commercial diver I trust them with my livelihood. They do things the right way every time and our company trusts them exclusively.

My wife and I needed to get new masks. I was briefly tempted to try to buy online, but I decided that finding a good fit was more important than the ease of shopping.Typical dive shop, good inventory in a pretty broad range of diving. The store was empty, so we had their undivided attention. Still, Ive seen clerks in other shops that are more eager to get back to their phone. They spent a LOT of time working to be sure we had a good fit.I saw the mask my wife ended up getting online for $5 less (+s/h). I am definitely glad I stopped by and shopped local.I will definitely bring in my gear for service before our next big trip, as they can service Atomic regs and USD BCs

Before we took a long trip to the Mayan Riviera I brought myself and kids to Silent World.I wanted to get myself a nice mask, snorkel and fins.I also wanted to get nice gear for my kids so that they would have the best time possible (and de facto giving ME the best time possible!)SW offered me a nice kit of high quality gear for the children for about $70. that was a mask, snorkel and fins. Now I know you can find those things cheaper elsewhere, but it would be a cheap toy-level product. Anyhow, my kids loved snorkeling and we spent many, many hours exploring the amazing universe under the waves. My gear was quite excellent as well!

Dive shop was staff was very knowledgeable and honest. Their gear was very well maintained and they didnt feel like they were trying to push me to buy expensive gear I didnt need, instead they answered any questions I had as best as they could and generally made me feel like they genuinely wanted me to have the best experience I could have.Highly recommend and I will be going to them again in the future.

I planned a trip to Mexico back in November and figured it would be cool to try scuba diving while down there. I bought two open water courses through Silent World for my lady and I to get certified so we would be ready to go come vacation time. Craig (head wetsuit washer AKA owner of Silent World) is an engaging teacher and very thorough! He has been on the scene for longer than I have been alive and you can feel his passion for diving through the way he engages with his students. We finally took the trip to Mexico and diving down there was a breeze after the training provided by our Silent World dive instructors: Craig, Don, John, and Devon. They really went above and beyond to prepare us for the opportunity to dive down there and it was one of the best experiences of my life, I AM ADDICTED!I had the intention of only getting open water certified but have since invested in all of my own gear and gotten certified in Computer Nitrox, Drysuit, and am currently working on Advanced Adventure! I havent been so excited about a hobby for a long time and I owe many thanks to silent world for helping to make it happen. If you are on fence about where to get certified or which shop to go to for gear, your search is over!

Long story short, I had an older 72 steel LP tank I needed hydrod and I was new in town at the time so I took it here. First thing I here is we can do It but the valve on it is too old and could break so we need to replace it. That was garbage, no valve is too old on a 2150 psi tank. I just had the seals replaced in it 5 years ago at the last hydro. But I was in a hurry so they said they could put one of there used ones on for cheap. I told them I want my old valve still. Well when I went to pick it up, no valve. They threw mine away. When I complained all the owner would do is take $5 off my bill. What?! I can understand someone accidentally misplacing my valve, but make up for it for crying out loud!! Hyrdo came back fine but all in all, I would suggest somewhere else.

Cory and the whole group are great. They have a good supply of quality gear and whenever Im in the area, I try to go by to visit. They are honest and to the point. I recently was told they wont service my gauges though, but its not there fault or retail brand so I guess they were sending it off, and not making any pennies on the dollars spent. They can service in house there own brands but had to ship out my Divers Direct, Oceanic... (for what I was paying before for the rebuild I could have bought a new set of gauges and BC., each year). Silent World does a great job, and I will continue to use them, even though I cant service my brand of gear there. Dive shops, Its a tough business Im sure. I was looking for the local Bubbles Below team because of the amazing Whale dives I had on Hawaii this last year. There gone... other shops In my area I have tried to use in the area. Those other shops were not Honest in their business practices. Made promises but would not follow threw, thus, I lost money because of it. Offering classes that never materialize that you pre-paid for, just one example.Silent World, thats not a problem. They are honest and incredibly dilegent in doing their best for you and your safety. They are a very responsible comprehensive, commendable shop. I recommend them highly, they serve our community well, and I have been using them for over eight years.

When my husband and I started diving in 2001, we were so fortunate to find Silent World Diving in Bellevue. The staff walked us from Fins to Regulators, pointing out all the varying equipment and their features. Classes were informative and the instructors have always been patient - we even got our Nitrox and Dry Suit training too.My husband has had Dolphin Rebreather training with SW and is now moving into a KISS Breather - again with Silent World doing the sales and training. They service all our gear and send us nice reminder postcards. There are other shops closer to us - but SW has become a real friend! Our best trips have been with Silent World - including San Juans, Micronesia, Hornby Island BC, and many more! We are looking forward to Cocos July 2009... special kudos to owner Craig - who makes each trip hassle free and does all the worrying for us! A fun and educated group of divers!
