I enjoyed this comic shop. The sales clerk there is very knowledgeable and helpful. The shop has lots of newer comics even in the back issue boxes. I did not see any/that much older issues. This place is great for finding what you want from the new comics !

Love this place! Everyone is friendly. One of the gentleman in there remembered me, from when I used to come in more often. I hadnt been there in a couple years. Nothing has changed, same great place to shop for comics or MTG cards and other stuff. Would recommend to everyone!

Always have a great experience at ground zero ever since I was a kid. I see people with not great experiences but personally all mine have been great. I bring my two little kids and the owner always comes out from the front and helps them find books and comics that they might enjoy.

Excellent comic shop! GREAT comic selection and incredibly friendly and helpful staff, so much so I go like every other week.

Owner never greets anybody when you walk in. Place was empty with the exception of a few people playing games in the back room and not even acknowledge my presence as he was right at the front counter. Just rude and absolutely no business ethics. Curious how he’s still in business. Highly recommend NOT GOING THERE.

Shop owner prices books at the register, Used to be 1/2 off back stock. If you want to price gouge at least don’t be lazy. Do the work yourself instead of wait for others to bring books to you. My books weren’t even worth anything but I left them out of principle for the matter. Owner is also off putting and was either in a bad mood or just rude by nature. Would not recommend and will not be going back. There are 5 other shops in the Omaha Metro area, all with better service and selection. I recommend them instead.

Owners a real gem, and I don’t mean that in a good way. Price gouges like a mf. Seems like something else may be going on there... found weird residue on a comic after the guy said it had been sitting on the shelf. I ended up just doing business else where

One of the best comic stores around. They have everything new coming out, and also have some collectibles. They also have a pretty neat little board gaming and card game section as well. The staff is always super nice, and they also do pull files if you subscribe to series. They always recognize me when I come in, and are more than willing to talk comics and games. If you are a comic person and in the military theres literally no where else you need to go. They will hold comics, if you get deployed and let them know, and are always pleasant to deal with.

Very neat and tidy store, where if you’re looking for something specific, it’ll be a breeze to find. Only jarring thing I have to say, if you need to put pricey pops behind glass cases, go ahead, but please don’t put price tags on the actual pops inside. 50% of its value is gone.

Im not sure I can objectively review this place. Ive been coming here since probably 1992 so it has such a nostalgic pull for me that I cant help but love it. The place has had its ups and downs (mid-90s seems to have sort of been its peak and the place was crazy popular and crowded). Its mostly a comic books store (as the name implies) but they have a fair share of RPG and board game stuff as well. Stop by and check it out!

Issues on the rack went back a couple of years. Some back issues were stored in boxes that were neither on the rack or with the rest of the back issues. The perk is that newer back issues could be found before they changed in price, but first you have to find it. If you arent wanting to dig, visit the other location where you go straight to what you want. The trade-off is that others can do the same so you may not find recent jewels.

Stopped in while visiting family in town... owners a jerk and changes the prices at the register. “Comic book guy” for sure

None of the books are priced so the owner can make up imaginary prices or look up eBay prices That’s bad business id rather just buy on eBay then support him!This is the only shop I’m town that conducts business like this !I’ve spent hundreds of dollars hereI’ll never be back !

Nice place. Mostly focused on comics and cards. Has a few games and core rule books.

The atmosphere is nice and its a quiet little place to go and look for some comic books. The staff there are super friendly and making conversation with them comes easily. Or if they know that you know what you want and dont need help, they will leave you be but make sure they stay near just in case you do end up needing help. Would highly recommend.

Regular employees are knowledgeable and helpful. The store owner however, is extremely disrespectful. I will be taking my business to krypton for the forseeable future

Always helpful staff, did not feel intimidated even when I was new to comics. As a woman, that was very important to me, and Ive never felt out of place here. I come back regularly to get dice and d&d products and they have a great selection.

Failed to honor their own frequent buyers discount card. Had ridiculous price hikes on some items. Had the audacity to talk trash on me and my friends once they thought we left. Will never return and will warn everyone I know to stay away.

This place is great. My son went to a pokemon event there to learn about the game and it could not have been better. They have a great selection of cards and board games and of course comics.

I dont go here often, but my husband is here weekly. The owner will keep track of your favorite comics and set them aside for you, if you are a regular. He has been friendly and more than fair in pricing also.

Good place to,play a game of Magic or what have you. Action figures seem reasonably priced for what they are. Somewhat extensive manga library for a hobby shop. Drink prices are cheap, if you get thirsty during a game.Comic prices vary, so I cant make a general rule about those. Staff are cool, seem to be passionate about their hobbies. Definitely worth a check if youre into comics and games.

Ground Zero is a staple of Bellevue and yet the “man” Dave, who usually runs the store has a terrible approach to dealing with customers.Many times I’ve visited and have been treated with disdain as if I’m a leper.Had to relocate my group and business to another store that is willing to treat us with dignity.The store deserves a person with a Charisma score higher than that of a troglodyte.

Shopped here for comic books for my younger brothers and it was awesome. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The place is huge and has so much to look at. I seriously kept getting distracted by everything there. Great place.

He knows people by name, knows us well, and very friendly. Love this place and the guy who owns it.

The guy that works there is super nice and great with kids. He is always nice to my daughter and bags her things in her own bag so she feels like an adult. Plus he usually lets her have a pokemon card.

Went to Ground Zero all the time when I was a kid. Fast forward 20 years and now my kids are starting to take an interest in comics. I was excited to take my four year old and show her some comics and maybe get her some stuff. I maneuver her around the crowd of men smoking out-front and enter a dark, dingy, cave that looks nothing like I remembered it. Maybe time has made my childhood memories better than they really were, but it was a major disappointment. Im not even sure if there were any lights on in the place. It seemed sterile. Nothing for kids at all. The group of guys out front all came in and settled down for a game of Magic while we were looking. We ended up walking out with no one so much as glancing at us. I couldnt have even guessed which, if any, of them worked there.

Friendliest people in the world. Im a mtg fan, particularly EDH, and they normally have a decent stock of singles and booster packs.

The owner despite some of the other reviews on here has always shown self and my children nothing but great customer service and patience. The store has a great selection of games, cards and comics. Veteran owned which is also great!

The owner of this shop is a very helpful lifelong gamer. He will get to know your gaming preferences on your first visit and can always steer you to a dozen options to suit your style. They have good prices, will gladly special order any games/supplies you need, and even have a gaming room in the back. This shop definitely makes it worthwhile to check your local game store before buying online.

Instead of focusing on their overpriced Chrono Trigger with the water damaged manual, Ill attempt to review the store overall. The place has a very uneasy atmosphere once you walk in. There are people who stand at the door and stare while you shop. The people behind the counter have no idea whats going on and customer service is terrible.

This place is great; I used to go here to get MTG stuff all the time (I moved recently) and the prices were really good. The reviewers whining about the customer service sound like petulant judgmental butt nuggets; the employees/owner were always friendly with me when I spoke with them and answered every question I had and even gave me other resources to look into, along with inviting me to events.

Decent selection, but I went in with my kids and he seemed overly concerned my kids would ruin something. My kids are excitable, but good. Even if they did open something they shouldnt or break something, I would immediately buy it. The other Ground Zero and Legend always welcome my kids and even interact with them while I shop. They know how to make future customers. Unfortunately, I live closest to Bellevue.

Well organized and stacked with comics. Stopped in to kill some time before flying home and stayed for over an hour. Staff is friendly and helpful

First off, I havent been inside a comic book shop since I was a kid 10 years ago. When I stopped in Ground Zero I was looking for a gift for my angel tree; the child wanted Pokemon cards. I was immediately greeted when I walked inside. I browsed for a few minutes and quickly made my way around the store. David (assuming the store owner) asked if I needed assistance and showed me to the card section, He even gave me 10% off since it was a gift for a needy child!!! He also helped me find a comic for myself after I told him my own interests.In short, super store, expert help, care about the community!

Went there with my 10 year old son so he could get some magic cards. He patiently waited while my son went through boxes of cards and he answered all of his questions. In addition to that I was able to pick up some comics I had been wanting. Definitely coming back to this comic store.

Didnt actually buy anything or look at much but there was a ton in stock and Im sure if i were to look for something they would help me or point me in the right direction. They have a back area where i got decent phone reception and was able to participate in a pokemon go pvp tournament. And they are a pokemon go gym? Winning.

Ive been a collector for nearly 30 years. I chose Ground Zero when I came to the Omaha area because I stopped by one day looking for a particular book that my previous supplier in my hometown in Missouri missed. They didnt have it, and I accepted this and moved on. A few weeks later I stopped by to browse, and Dave (who runs the place) saw me and brought the book out as hed tracked it down for me. I hadnt asked him to do this, and had made no promise of ever coming back. That kind of attention to customer needs is what brings me to Ground Zero week after week.

Honestly this is my favorite comic shop, the owner is super nice, and its got a not very hostile feel to it compared to other comic shops Ive been to. As a comic loving grill, that is a much welcomed experience to not feel so unwelcomed in the comic store. He also generally has a large statue collection, which is so so so nice as a collector myself. Great store and great service 😁 I always reccomend this shop to others

Grabbed 4 books which were on comic wall. Cover price I assumed. Employee starts looking up ebay prices and basically said nope. Not cover price. Bad business

They have a lot of potential, but there are some notable deficiencies. I had great memories, as a kid, buying cards here. Having recently moved back to town, I thought Id go check it out. No one showed up to assist me for the first 5 minutes I was there, heck I was the only visible person on the floor. Once the owner (or lower management?) came out, I felt unwelcomed before we even exchanged more than a few sentences. The conversation went on, which I now realize was a mistake. The tone I was being talked to was apathetic, to say the least. His body language and terse responses also let me know how disinterested he was in me, the customer. Cant say Im eager to go back. Shame, because Ive had great relationships with shop owners in the past.

We come every thursday for Pokemon game night and have a great time. Thank you for always welco.ing us with open arms.

The shop owner just isnt very pleasant. My kid loves comics, and I do intend to buy a comic when I come into the store, but the owner immediately starts looming around by me and my kid. He will ask you DO YOU NEED SOME HELP? if caught paging through a comic book. Did you put your other ones back? He is always on my case when I come like Im a theif or a scrounger. Biggest selection of comics around town, but the owner is a A1 creep.
