Now this is a nice spot. You can dine in and enjoy a meal or get take out. The sausage was delicious..got to get more lol. The chicharron was good but a bit overdone. Making the skin hard to bite and enjoy. And warming it up was a challenge cause you was one step close to making the meat tough. But take note when ordering the fried pork one order is more then enough since its plentiful.
We celebrated a birthday here for breakfast and it was excellent! Some international dish options and a lovely dessert selection. Great coffee too! Will definitely return!

Food was good. This cafe has a heavy Spanish influence in the cuisine. We liked it. We went for lunch. Prices were very reasonable and it was a nice change of pace with a good variety. We would definitely go back.
The food was worth the price! I had the Shrimp Fajita and was surprised when the waiter came over with 2 hands and arms full of food. 😱 The staff is extremely nice, the place is very clean and well-organized. I’d definitely recommend this establishment when you’re in Hackettstown. They deserve the 5-stars that I gave them.
Love this place!! Great staff and owners. I justWish they would go back to being open later than 8pm, if u aren’t there by 720pm for dinner you can’t sit down and order. Also they need to go back to regular silverware and dishes, not takeout for eating on the premises. If u have wine, you get beautiful wine glasses, but plastic silverware and take out containers.

Here’s a quick summary of a to-go experience. Minus one star for each of the following: 1. Ordered a sandwich and a veggie wrap; it took thirty (THREE ZERO) minutes but they weren’t busy at all. 2. They made no mention or apologies for how long their food took. 3. They’ve blacked out the prices on their menu and make you ask for prices. 4. My veggie wrap was pretty abysmal and had me spitting out an item that wasn’t chewable. Needless to say, I ended up throwing out my food. You couldn’t drag me back here 👎

My daughter and I came here for lunch while we were in town. Everyone was super nice and respectful! There were a few times with we had a hard time understanding eachother with the language barrier, however, they were super friendly and her and I talked until we figured out what we wanted. The wait wasnt bad. The food was amazing. Tasted delicious and fresh (those are my daughters words) and everything was piping hot. They doubled check that everything tasted good and asked what I needed in my bag for take out (if I wanted utensils and such) I definitely recommend this Cafe if your in town and hungry!
The personnel are friendly + helpful. The selection of bagels is outstanding. I am always asked to bring bagels to my group from Java Joes!
Although I am not happy with what I ordered, its more on me than anything else. I want to give this palace a few more trys before I make a call. The menu is so full of yummy looking and sounding food I have to go again.I will say that I like my Guacamole rougher chopped. It was a bit over processed for me.almost creamy.

Decent portions a little overpriced but still good. tried to be as clear as I can while creating an order ,,confirmed order twice but still came out wrong, home fries came plain no onions salt anything , I asked for onions in the eggs they did not put any, Im dissatisfied with how my order came out ,I wanted 3 sunny side eggs but got scrambled instead , dont know if I will be returning due to the high price and wrong order

They charge you $3 for sitting at a table. There is no sign warning you about it. Wouldnt come back for that reason.

Not worth going to this place. So, we had an experience that shows how arrogant the manager was. We parked in the grass to go to James on Main at 9:40 pm last night. The Main Street Cafe closes at 10. There was no one in the Main Street Cafe restaurant and no one parked in front. We parked in the grass nearby and walked in to ask not to be towed. The manager insisted they owned all the parking. We said there’s no one here. She said we own all this parking, it doesn’t matter. That is manager arrogance and it’s unfortunate she was not open to us parking in the grass nearby. We will not go to this place.

I absolutely love this place. The variety and all of it is good. Great bakery I had been looking for a place like this in this area. All of the people who work there are very nice and they also have great operating hours!
Great breakfast. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Food has a definite Colombian flavor, coffee was smooth and rich. Bakery is well stocked. My egg white omelette was just the way I like it, the chorizo was tasty but not overbearing. The seating area is clean and comfortable. In a town with some good choices for a nice breakfast, this a bright and cheery alternative. That lemon coconut cake is very enticing. We’ll be back for sure.

Really good food and the best coffee I’ve ever had! A little small inside so be prepared to wait for a table if it’s busy but it’s well worth the wait. Staff is also friendly and attentive and the place is meticulously cleaned.
Our first visit to Main St. cafe tonight, but it wont be our last. The interior is nicely set up, pleasant decor, and very clean, so our first impression was good. We were warmly welcomed by our server, who was very gracious when we asked for her recommendations as we were first timers. She asked our preferences and then gave us her suggestions, and were glad we took them. The homemade chips that she brought while or meals were being prepared were delicious. I had the chicken baleada with everything. The portion size was very generous- enough to bring home half to enjoy another day. My husband had the fish soup, again VERY generous portion and filled with several types of seafood and dish. That was served with rice and 4 pieces of fried plantain, again, a treat. Or server was attentive without being intrusive, and the prices were, in our opinion, very reasonable. They have a bakery with desserts made fresh daily, and they looked delightful, but we passed on them this time. I absolutely recommend it!

Family owned and run. They are such sweethearts. Down to earth and great service. Also more and more popular by the day. Definitely becoming a staple in Hackettstown. Open very early until decently late, convenient, and comfortable. Their breakfast and lunch menu is on point, and authentic. And they have awesome pastries. The food was incredible. But what was even better was the service. The servers were attentive. Even if it wasnt their section, they helped. So warm and friendly and eager to please. Our server gave perfect suggestions and helped us build our dishes. The owner was also fantastic! Personally greeted us and asked for any feedback. Sincere. We cannot wait to return to try more dishes!Definitely get the sweet plantains. Yummmm!

An awsome little cafe. Great owner very conversational informative about dish you ordered. We tried food we never had before it was sensational . Nicely decorated cant wait till next time...we didnt have any room for dessert. They have a bakery and they make there bread . On our way out they were bringing another gentleman a bowl of soup that looked hearty and smelt delicious. If you need help with the menu anyone will explain the food to you. Oh and breakfast is served all day too! the omelets looked great too
Love this place. We come often and utilze take out often. Its right next to a brewery so its convenient to that, plus its BYOB in case you want to stay.

My friend and I visited this cafe on a whim and its amazing. From the moment we entered the establishment we were kindly greeted by the owner. The environment is calm and the food is delicious. Also, they have flat screen TVs that have content for all audiences (sports, news, etc) overall its great! This is going to be our go-to spot!

This is a Colombian bakery and restaurant. It is fairly small (only about 7 or 8 tables) but the menu is extensive (Colombian and American fare) and prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly.

This was my first time at Main Street Café. Its very clean and the staff are very friendly. Glad to explain the menu to customers. Though it took a bit of time to get our breakfast, it was well worth the wait. The food was fresh and delicious. I took home the flan to see if it was up to par and its excellent. I cant wait to go back to try other dishes.

Very good food. The menu has a big variety to it too. The staff is friendly and helpful. I speak Spanish myself, yes I know they are Columbian, but sometimes there is a language barrier. Other than that I think no matter what you order you will not be disappointed.

I NEVER write reviews! but i had to do it for this one! I am the manager a local store in town! I came in to grab quick lunch on a snow store day they were the only store open and God i was thankful for that! not only was their service incredible and friendly but the food was amazing! They have literally anything you can think of! From desserts to the best lunch food in town! i know that i am going to continue to go here from now on and anyone who can give them a bad rating is out of their mind!
