It’s an average car dealership. I bought one new car there and it was nothing special, nothing bad.The poor experience is their service department. My under-warranty rust-through repair has been taking about 9 months due to the service department losing the paperwork first, and then taking about 4 weeks to have the repair done (good thing I have too many cars at home because I did not get a loaner)And now I have a trunk lid that is leaking water into my trunk because it was assembled incorrectly during the rust repair. I have been asking for (and not receiving) a call back for about 6 weeks with this latest issue.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. The service manager John Scott, lacks the most basic customer service skills. They will do whatever they can to make the sale but as soon as you have issues, they completely ghost you. I had to call corporate to initiate a buyback because of all the issues with the new ID.4. and they refuse to coordinate a service appointment/ loaner car. Seriously don’t spend your money here it’s been a nightmare. Go to Brunswick or North Olmsted. Terrible experience that has been going on for months.

The first two times I visited Ganley Volkswagen of Bedford, my service was horrible. The members of the team that I worked with were very rude, and seemed as if I was inconveniencing them by having an issue with my car. In addition to that I was told I would have a rental car ready to go for me while I had my car serviced but instead the car was not ready and I had to wait much longer than anticipated and then was late to work, when I voiced my concern to the manager I was brushed off. It took for me to have to go off for the manager to finally address the poor service I have been receiving from his service department. Finally on visit number three to the service department my experience was much better, everyone was polite. My car was serviced and ready for pick up the very same day, there was a renal car ready to go for me. I hope to receive service of this caliber every time I go to the service department. Jerry even walked me to my car and opened my door.

Called to inquire about getting a timing chain job done on my car. The parts employee could not give me pricing because they do not have a kit that includes all the required parts (which is weird because I can buy full kits any where online). He asked me for a parts list of what all the timing chain job needs. He also told me that every motor is different. (these cars are mass produced by the millions... But they are all different... Yeah, ok....) Being a dealership that specializes in these cars I would expect them to have this information available. Just from this call, I would not expect great service from them.

This could have been the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Ganley Volkswagen associates: Kevin Weiss, Ben, and Calli made the entire buying experience so easy. They were honest and up front. I was able to get this car by myself. They made this so painless and I was extremely happy. They helped soothe my anxieties about the purchase and made me calm.That was until I had to wait for over three hours for my car to come from the body shop. I had cleaned out my old truck and was standing outside in the heat waiting for them to show up. They said several times it would be a few minutes, only for it to be substantially longer. The car was filthy to begin with, so I knew it would be a while. But not hours! When it came down the inside was better, but there were dirt spots everywhere on the inside…the windows were filthy. There was also a gash under the trunk that wasn’t there when I first looked at the car. So far I have killed several ants coming from the dashboard. I also responded to an email sent to me from Peter Kash (GM) and received no contact from him or his office.This initially was a five star rating that plummeted to a three for these reasons. If I could give Kevin, Ben, and Calli five stars individually I would .

I took my car to Volkswagen to be serviced July 10, 2021 to date which is September 27, 2021 my vehicle is still being serviced every time I call to ask about my vehicle and the service that has been done I get a smart response from service advisor Daniel Harris he’s very rude and abrasive. Totally disrespectful. I would not recommend anybody talking or working with him .

I brought my 2011 Sportwagen here for some diesel emissions warranty work early Monday afternoon.Pretty unimpressed with the service department so far - the only people who seem to know how to do anything useful are the techs.Made an appointment on the website, which in hindsight was pointless because none of the information I entered seemed to make it to them.Jerry is my service advisor and promised me on two separate occasions (Monday before I left and Tuesday afternoon over the phone) that the WORST case scenario is that theyd be done with it Wednesday (today) as they had the parts on-hand. They didnt have any loaners and none of the rental places have anything either - not a huge deal in my case but a little annoying as VW is supposed to provide them for all TDI emissions warranty work.Well, I come in today about a half hour before close not knowing what to expect and the place is a ghost town. All the techs have gone home (good for them!) and I speak with Mike, who has no idea where my car is, if its finished (it wasnt) or if its even been started (probably not). Mike seemed apologetic and is going to follow up with me about it.Not a great foot to put forward to someone maybe looking at a new car soon... This is my 3rd VW (7 if you count family cars), taken them to lots of different dealers and shops, and frankly never had anything close to this level of fumbling anywhere else.Update: Its now Friday, again my car has been promised to me today. Again it isnt done, and again I have to pull teeth to get any kind of communication about it from Ganley.I understand that its busy and these can be difficult and time-consuming jobs, warranty work doesnt pay anything, and I absolutely dont blame the service techs for this, but there simply isnt an excuse for the kindergarten customer service mistakes. Be honest with your customers, and if you cant meet a promise, BE DIRECT!

My experience with Jared was exceptional. I was impressed with his helpfulness and how courteous he was. He was very pleasant and gave me his full attention. He professionally determined my affordability so we effectively knew what vehicles were realistic for my budget. When I got there for the first time the guy greeted me and asked what was I all coming for I told him an oil change and a recall. Then I told him hey, i gotta couple random lights that came on this morning. He was ok well check it for you. So me being a mister know it all I did research on the lights and I diagnosed my own car inside there lobby waiting room just for them to charge me $260 for an oil change(the recall was free). I even told the guy what I looked up and he even confirmed I was right and knew what I was talking about. I paid the fees and left not knowing the recall was free. I’m just frustrated because it felt like since I’m young and was new they took advantage to charge me anything.

8am appointment for something that I was told would take an hour. At 10:00 still had not even looked at the vehicle. They know how to take the appointment, but cant keep the appointment. Just horrible. Go anywhere else that you can. Would give zero stars but in order to post I have to give them 1 star.

I got work done on my car on this visit. The work completed was fast and I didnt have to wait long for the work to be completed. The mechanic working on my car was very nice and knew what he was doing. I will be heading to here next weekend as well to get more work done to my car. I would for sure recommend people to go here.

I walked in wanting a 2021 Tiguan R-Line after a lot of research in the SUV market I was 100% sure what I wanted and Jared didn’t try to “sell” me on anything else. Jared was EXTREMELY friendly & helpful! We weren’t at the dealership all day which was great! Every single person we encountered during our afternoon there were very personable and helpful. During the time at the dealership I took notice how many customers they get and how many deals were being made and seeing all the customers leaving happy really spoke volumes! Volkswagen of Bedford honestly beats the other Volkswagen dealerships I’ve been to in the past!

Not a very good experience. Walked in and waited for a good 20 minutes before being acknowledged. The sales guy that seems like he was being forced to help was very monotone and pushy. He kept barking orders at another sales guy, kept interrupting me when I was trying to talk, and overall not a very pleasant person to deal with. Several times I wanted to walk out and tell him it just wasnt working. They valued my trade without even looking at it. Needless to say, the sale did not work for me, which is good because Carmax offered $3k over what Ganley VW wanted to offer. I would highly suggest checking out Carmax to sell your vehicle to, instead of trading it. Carmax doesnt require you purchase one of their cars when selling yours to them. RESPONSE: I never said I was confused about the trade deal. If you review, I said I was offered more at Carmax, and they dont require you to purchase either.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I purchased a 2016 Volkswagen GTI at this dealership on November 2nd 2020. It wasnt until after the test drive and taking the car home for a day and a half that the check engine light came on for check left daytime running light. I took the car up to the dealership and they told me that it cant be fixed so the whole headlight assembly has to be replaced and that will cost $1,400 or the technician told me we can replace the power module for the headlight assembly but the part alone costs $320 and we cant guarantee that will fix the problem so here I am 4 months later still driving around with 1 daytime headlight all because these amateurs couldnt do a single thing for me. I will absolutely never return to this dealership, and I urge everyone to go anywhere else if they can.

About a month ago, we were in a market for a VW Atlas. We ran into the dealership and met a really nice salesman, Wayne.Throughout the process, Wayne was very helpful and quick to respond. When we decided to commit, we asked if they could locate a specific trim and color vehicle for us. About 30 minutes after putting a retainer and locating a vehicle, my wife informed me that she wants a specific color interior. I called the dealership back to change the request. Wayne informed me that his sales manager told him that it’s either the original request or THE DEAL IS OFF! Without hesitation, I went ahead and withdrew my retainer and cancelled all negotiations.Less than 5 minutes later, I got a call from the GM and informed me that they may have been too quick to call it off, and if there’s anything we could do to make a deal. I informed the GM that I’m not interested in playing these games and all I wanted was to be treated as a respected customer, with that, there was nothing they could do to make this deal happen.Five days later, we drove to Pittsburgh to #1 Cochran and purchased the EXACT vehicle we wanted. Yes, we drove 2 hours longer to be treated with respect and communicate-with transparency.This dealership still goes by the old-school dealership cat-and-mouse style of negotiation. Need to update your way of treating customers, people have more access to information and ways to buy. Treat customers with respect and trust, you gain them for a lifetime of vehicle purchases and even for generations.

When I went into VW of Bedford, John Callahan was so patient with me when it came to buying a new car. He didnt make me feel like he was just there to get a sale, he was so kind and professional. My grandmother even commented on how professional and efficient he was. Everyone that greeted us inside and out was friendly and made us feel respected. After coming from Amherst VW were I was unhappy with the salesmanship and lack of professionalism, John really helped me through this process and I am so happy that I purchased my car there at Bedford! John has followed up with me on multiple occasions to check if I had any questions or concerns about my car, this speaks volumes in my book and I cant stop bragging about my satisfaction as a customer with John and this VW dealership every time someone asks me about my car!

Took my car to get serviced here, $2800 and 4 days later it’s stalling on me on the highway and in worse shape than when I took it in. Now possibly having to get it towed there. Dropping it off again and I expect them to fix it at no cost to my self, we’ll have to see.Update: it took a while but I got my car back. I haven’t haven’t had a problem in about two weeks so everything seems to be good. They did repair everything else at no cost to me other than buying some spark plugs (which were still somewhat expensive). Everyone I talked to was really nice and didn’t give me a problem, but the communication was pretty lacking. I didn’t hear from them for a few days after dropping my car back off.I don’t want to bash anyone here but for a dealership I’m just surprise that they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and that it took even longer to fix stuff. I’ll give them points for making it right, but tbh I will never take my car here again if I can.

I just upgraded to a new 2020 Volkswagen Jetta from here even though I had problems with them in June but I put my faith in them and all I’m getting is disappointment. When I got the car I didn’t receive a spare key which I’ve been asking for since mid November and just now getting my key due to me physically having to go in there, because I was getting the run around and being told they where going to give me a call back which never happened. When I finally got my key it was like I’m supposed to magically sync it to my car as if I work for them and know how to do it. All I want to know is if I start going to Akron will they be able to uphold my warranty because I am done doing business here.

UPDATE: Greg is a wonderful man, he remembered me when I walked up to him when I was getting my 10,000mi service done to my TDI! He deserves 5/5 Stars!But man, his service team left him hanging yesterday, very badly!!!! As I stated above I went in for my 10,000mi. Service yesterday and it consists of changing the oil, topping off fluids, visual inspection, and an exterior wash(complementary) as always. Well, here’s the deal! They took 2hours and 30minutes to do this, which is EXTREMELY LONG, I could of had this done and just paid the $100 in material do it myself on my car lift at home, but I thought for $25 extra it would be worth bringing my car in, instead. How I was so wrong, they gave me a “sorry our technicians are a joke 10% off deal” which for some weird reason made my total $148, not $124.90............ I’m really disappointed in this, this isn’t how you earn my business... This is how you lose it! On top of this, this lady brought in her VW for a low tire pressure, all it had was a nail in the Center tread of the rubber. No deal! An easy fix with a plug, THEY CHARGED HER $45.00 + probably some bogus fee like they did me!! She sat there for probably a good hour and 30minutes and then I left, when I left she was still sitting there waiting... are you kidding me!?!?!? A patch/plug doesn’t take 2 hours, INSANE! I will still VOUCH for Greg Love, amazing guy. But their service department has lost me for good, unless they can somehow make this mistake up. Oh! And I threw away the hoodie the tech left in my trunk , and I’m keeping his LED headlamp because he spilled DEF Fluid all over my trunk and left the cap off in my trunk too👍🏼Old Post:Go see Greg Love, always there to help you get in the car you need,

I was in search of a certified used VW Beetle Convertible and I was searching over most of Ohio to find the right one. I found the right one at Ganley Volkswagen, and I put in a request online to see the car. I live about 2 hrs south of Ganley Volkswagen and left my home before they were open that day. Joe gave me a call, not too long after they opened, and when I arrived the Beetle was sitting there ready for me to test drive. While I was test driving the Beetle they reviewed my trade. Once I was back we didnt have to do much to get my deal done. Joe was very knowledgeable about his product and made the transaction quick and easy. Beware of their borderline fraudulent upselling techniques in the service department. I took my vehicle into the service center to have recall work done. While they had the vehicle they did an inspection where they determined I needed my brakes replaced since I had only 2mm left on my pads. I declined service and took it to my normal mechanic who took my tires off and measured my pads and found I had 10 mm left. They were so desperate to sell me additional service they were willing to lie about the status of brake pads on my vehicle. I have 70% of the life left on my pads. Dont trust these crooks.In response to their reply- Matt from Ganley followed up on my issues and have admitted that my brakes were found good by the service technician but yet their service representative lied and told me they were worn and quoted me having them replaced.

I’m utterly disappointed in service provided by this dealership. I have been a longtime consistent customer utilizing their service department and purchasing multiple vehicles. My recent experience is unacceptable. I purchased a used vehicle in June 2020, after returning my leased vehicle. It hasn’t been 5 months yet and already experiencing trouble with my vehicle. The troubled experienced with this vehicle put my child and myself in a unsafe situation were potentially we could’ve been hurt or caused a collision on the highway.There’s no possible explanation as to why I’m now experiencing fuel and engine issues. I contacted this dealership to find out the person who sold me my vehicle no longer works there. This dealership has had a high turn around in employees and leadership and it’s noticeable and reflected in the service provided.I spoke to a sales manager over 5 times to get no solid solution for my concern/issue. The only thing the sales manager continued to suggest is taking the vehicle to multiple dealerships all over the city that specialize in the make of the vehicle continuing to inconvenience me. I spoke to multiple dealerships as suggested to hear yes your still under warranty and it sounds like a Power Train issue, and more than likely vehicle will need to be there for a long period of time or even kept. No we can’t provide a loaner vehicle because you didn’t purchase vehicle with us and hasn’t received service with us at least 3 times. Yet being inconvenienced again affecting my day to day including work, and virtual school for my child. I called Volkswagen again to speak to the same sales manager in hopes that he could rectify concern. However, again no solution provided other than if you bring it here we may have to wait on parts and we are all out of loaner vehicle. This is totally unacceptable I should not be experiencing issues like this so soon. I have not even paid 4th car note and I’m being told I’ll be without a vehicle. The sales manager gave me a direct number for the dealership he suggested I call. The number provided was to a advisor who supposedly was waiting on me to call them. I called the number multiple times to no avail or return call. Also it’s almost impossible to speak to GM or GSM they’re never available. So again I’m left with no real solution. I don’t feel safe continuing to drive vehicle in it’s current condition. Due to poor customer service, inability to problem solve and address vehicle issues I’ll probably never do business with your delete ship again. I purchased vehicle with your dealership any and all issues pertaining to this vehicle should be handled by your dealership!

Bad service at the time of pandemia. They have an impressive high-tech site to set up appointments, that I used , but after driving half hour when I reach the place I was told that appointment was wrong, that last allowed appointment was one hour earlier but they can honor my on line appointment if I wait 2 HOURS.These Germans maybe good cheating public with fuel efficiency but lack a lot on CUSTOMER SERVICESecond attempt, as the online system does not work I called for an appointment. I had to wait 1 hour 45 minutes for oil change and tire rotation even though no more than other 2 customers. Then I was been charged 20% more than the rate shown on their web site for DEALER RECOMMENDED SERVICE.It is not agreeable have to fight to honor prices publicly displayed.....and it is illegal gouge prices in time on crisis

Drove 3 hours to this dealership to buy a car that the sales rep told us had offers on it but was still available. I’m driving 3 hours to buy it, should we make the drive? He says yes. Get there, let’s us look at the car knowing it was already sold before we got there and then tells us it sold. Then acts like they sold it because we tried negotiating, what? O don’t think so. I talked to another guy who supposedly made the decision and he said it sold before we got there, I asked why no one called us and he says, well I figured you drove all that way you can at least see the car. Umm no, I don’t want to see a car I can’t buy. I would have rather turned around half way or even 30 min away then get there and waist my time. the sales rep trying to put it on us so he doesn’t look like he’s wrong for not at least calling us before getting there. I would never go there again and I don’t recommend anyone taking their word for anything because it’s all bull.

I recently purchased a used vehicle here, let me tell you that Howard and the service department are the only reason theyre even getting 3 stars. Howard informed me of all the information he could regarding the used vehicle, it was not high pressured. I had a list of questions about the service detail which were all answered and they called to check in after the purchase. Id go back but I do not live near the area.The issue here is if you plan to finance a used vehicle, go somewhere else OR pay cash. We signed our paperwork with Howard and was handed over to Dayton to finish the financing portion of it. Were sitting there for a few moments, he never said a word and pulled out a tablet with warranty options. He starts going through his sales pitch for the extended warranties, not allowing me to interrupt. Gives me what the monthly payments would be but I had to ask if this was included with my car payment or in addition to my car payment. He said it was with my car payment, then I had to ask well what is my car payment? What is my interest rate? WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I HAVE TO ASK? THAT SHOULD BE THE FIRST TWO ITEMS YOU GO OVER FIRST! Money is a sensitive subject with anyone, if you cant handle that portion of it you should not be in a customer facing position. When I had asked about the interest rate he seemed offended like I didnt trust him. I know nothing of this part of the transaction and had already been preapproved by another dealership for less than they were giving me, so I was confused why it was higher? I just wanted to know what it was and why. After declining the warranties he became even less informative. He was beyond unprofessional and rude, it seemed shady, at that point I wanted to walk away entirely but my boyfriend, who was sitting there with me, had to text me through it so I wouldnt leave. I did call the financing manage who said he is sure Dayton gave me the best rate possible, which was not my argue but how would I know since he did not show or communicate that to me (the bank it is through is even disappointing). He went on to say that he couldn’t get me a better deal, which I did not ask because it was not about the “better deal” at that point it was about the customer experience and informing/communicating the customer.

Hung up on my mother actually and told us that my step dad who is 65 years old burned up the clutch and they refuse to do anything about it. So a 2017 Jetta that they paid cash for and have had it less than a month and drove less than 100 miles it is not their responsibility

I had a very great experience with Ganley VW the service advisor I had she was phenomenal and was able to tell me what was wrong with my car when I explained what was coming up on my dashboard and she gave me the price of what was needed and also when I mentioned something was wrong with my brakes she had them looked at as well. They did all the work they were supposed to in a timely manner and the service advisor she was friendly and nice and was quick. I definitely will be back.

Poor experience. Unprofessional sales staff. Tried to use several basic sales techniques, which lost my trust in working with them. Sales staff verbalized a high price to see our reaction to limit our shock when seeing the actual quote. It was very easy to see through these elementary sales tactics. The sales staff came back with a lease quote that was double what our current VW lease was. The monthly lease payment was equivalent to if we had purchased the car and only put $5000 down. Manager then stated that he will make an adjustment to the numbers, and send us an updated quote that evening. This was never sent. I then called the sales office on Monday requesting an updated quote. The call was routed to the same manager that I spoke to the day prior. The manager did not have any recollection of the conversation, but then committed to sending us a quote that evening. The quote was never sent. Today is now Thursday, and we have yet to receive any follow-up.I was just looking to simply renew a lease or purchase a new car from them, but they botched the quote and follow-up. We’ve received more competitive quotes elsewhere, with better follow-through, so we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Car dealers are notoriously difficult to judge. All the staff were nice and welcoming. One sales guy not involved with our purchase stopped to tell us a few details about the care of the car from the previous owner. I believe he was sincere. That was nice. They didnt seem overly pushy either which is a plus. Used car did not come with any warranty, even 30 day, so you have to wonder if they know something you dont. Only time will tell on car.

We purchased a 2017 certified used vehicle. In less than 100 miles the clutch went out. We took it to a repair shop and they videoed what was wrong with the car. Clutch destroyed, dead rodent in engine block, rodent feces, brakes and rotor completely rusted out . So they committed fraud by saying it was certified. No one has bothered to return my calls. Anyone want to join me in a class action lawsuit?

I had extremely bad experience with Ganley Volkswagen Bedford. They have the worst customer service especially the marketing department. They did not specify many important financial & insurance policy rules and we ended up knowing them all before finalizing the deal. We had to still buy the vehicle as we ended up paying advance.I do not recommend.

I leased two new VWs from this dealership and soon after began noticing paint defects. When I questioned the dealer about it, they swore up and down that these vehicles werent repainted. Several trips to local body shops and they all agreed that these cars were repainted. What is weird is that I leased them with under 10 miles on both. Decided to have Volkswagen of America look into this and because of my mentioning of both cars, they flew a rep down to investigate. Several paint meter readings later, they confirmed these cars were repainted outside of the manufacturing site. It wasnt until VWoA got involved that Ganley spilled all the info that several cars on their lot were vandalized, repainted and sold as new??! I have been experiencing multiple issues with the poor initial spray job that these cars had to go back and be stripped and repainted, these issues still continue.Now I dont typically write reviews, but I just recently I discovered that I was given the wrong license plates for one of the vehicles. It wasnt made apparent till I started receiving random parking tickets. In the parking ticket photo, it was not even my car, no where close to where I live/work. When shown this ticket and photo, I was reimbursed for the ticket fee by Ganley as they admitted fault. However I have started receiving more, and when I contacted them about this... nothing. I have not been compensated for my poor experience from this dealership nor the parking tickets outside of the first incident.Moral of the story is once theyve gotten your money, youre on your own.

Took the Toureg in for an oil change, found the head gasket was leaking... was told the vehicle was covered by warranty (great!), but they would need to keep it for a week or so (bummer).I got the car back 50 (fifty) days later, and I had to call in to get updates; the only unprompted call I received form the dealer was to let me know it was ready for pick up on day 49.

Every time I go into Volkswagen Im taken care of! I had a service completed for an oil change on 11.2.19 and Mike Murphy assisted me. It was a quick job, I was met with kindness and professionalism.
