I use this business for ffl transfers. The employees are super friendly and courteous. If a firearm comes in that day you can take it home that day. Provided you pass the background check, that is super reasonably priced.

I’ve been here many many times before and thought I wrote a review for them. Alas, better late than never! By far, my favorite FFL to go to as the staff is friendly, they won’t take an hour to do the paperwork, and they have the best pricing. I’ve been to several FFL’s around here and A Cut Above Pawn is the only place I recommend to people to go to. You won’t be disappointed.

Ive been going to this shop for the past 6 or 7 years. The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable, the firearms selection has always been the best in the area, theres no BS, they are willing to work with you on pawned items, their prices are fair both in what they charge and what they offer for an item you bring to sell or pawn. Ive never left the shop feeling like Ive had anything but a positive experience. Ive pawned, sold, and purchased items here, and have had online firearms purchases shipped here. Its always been hassle free.

Allen (not sure of the exact spelling) was super helpful!! i went in thinking about getting a bass guitar, within minutes of entering i was leaving with a bass that i got an insane deal on and it came with a super nice case and he threw in a shoulder strap for free! they had a lot of really cool stuff here and the service was incredible. definitely would recommend compared to other pawn shops!!

I’ve been coming here since I moved from CA. They’re right down the street from me and have great hours. I mostly come for the incredibly fast and competitively priced firearm transfers. Their prices are actually pretty good considering the current climate and even before, I got some awesome deals. I’ve bought quite a few guns here and the staff is very knowledgeable, if you’re not they won’t steer you wrong.

He plays music, too, and happened to have his personal guitar in the shop, so got to see that as well; a beautiful Paul Reed Smith guitar. I purchased my first firearm here using their FFL service and I was impressed with how friendly the guys that work there are. I bought a camera from them some years back and a buddy of mine recommended them to me when I was looking for an FFL. I would gladly pass on the recommendation. Great group of folks to work with.

This place is my go to FFL. They have fantastic service and a very knowledgeable staff. I have used them several times for transfers and receiving of firearms from online orders. Their prices are also some of the lowest around. Recently they assisted me in transferring a pistol down to CA which is something many FFLs wouldnt even consider. It is always fun to stop in and see what they have as their stock is constantly changing and they very often get in some rarer and more unusual firearms. Their prices are fair and typically in line with market rate, but that is not to say that you cant find a steal of a deal. Definitely a shop that values customer service.

I bought a firearm online and UPS ended up losing it during shipping. The company I purchased it from reported it to the ATF who confiscated it when it showed back up. Finally it gets cleared to be released but since I hadnt officially passed the background check A Cut above Pawn had to deal with getting the firearm back. Considering it happened during these crazy busy/stressful times it just made it worse but A Cut Above Pawn came through. They were very professional and dependable. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to do an FFL transfer. Nothing that went wrong was the pawn shops fault but they still fixed everything and got my firearm to me.👍I have all my FFL transfers done here, theyre pricing is very competitive. They are always fast and professional but never pushy like a lot of pawn shops can be. I was honestly surprised by the guns they had in stock. I also purchased some ammo here, not only was it in stock but it was cheaper than most places especially once you take s&h into consideration. Clean, polite, professional, great merchandise, great prices the list goes on. What more could you want?

Drove from Monmouth to meet someone at A Cut Above Pawn to have an FFL transfer done. The guys in the shop were awesome and super helpful. The transfer was smooth and easy, and on top of it all I don’t know any other shop where you can have an FFL transfer for the price they offer! Pretty stellar deal. Went in for one purchase and ended up leaving with two because they had great inventory and were fair in pricing too. I will definitely be doing any other FFL transfers through this shop given I have the time to drive up!

Hands down the best pawn shop in the greater Portland area. I have been a long time customer and I have always had the best experience as far as customer service goes. For those who love firearms, A Cut Above Pawn has quite the collection arguably better than some gun stores in the area. They charge $25 for transfer fees which is amazing and their staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. One thing I especially appreciate about this shop is that it is very organized and clean compared to others in the area. It’s always refreshing to visit and they always have interesting items on display. Give these guys your business- they value their customers and aren’t interested in screwing you over which seems rare in the pawn industry.

Pre-panic this place was great to deal with, firearms and ammo wise, pre-panic I would have given them 5 stars. They are still good for doing a transfer person to person, but they are price gouging ammo like a madman.Steel case 7.62x39 122grain JHP they wanted $325 for 500 rounds, I can buy a case of a 1000 rounds of the same Tula ammo for less. Going to take my business elsewhere from now on.

I went in looking for a rifle and the staff there went above and beyond helping me remove the muzzle device on an arsenal AK. They even stayed open past their posted hours and really were deticated to the sale. This isnt the pawn shop of old...this is a family friendly place to do business. Need a few bucks to get you through? This place is a great alternative to those costly payday loans! Also, buying here is pretty good...the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help. The goods and the store are clean and the staff make you feel welcoming. Parking is okay, but getting in and out of the parking lot can be rough during heavy traffic, best to avoid rush hour, or come in off of the backroad.

Decent shop. They have some good items at pretty decent prices. However, this is not a place to go if youre looking to SELL. They will offer you WAYYY lower than other shops in the area, so I highly suggest you shop around, especially if you need the $$. Highly recommend somewhere else to sell, unless you want to get low-balled. However, as a buyer, go at it! They clean all their incoming items before they hit the floor so theyre nice and shiny and look the best they can look!
