I love this place. Comic books, collectibles, movies,music, and books priced to sell. The staff rocks,very knowledgeable always helpful if you need it. Something for everyone.

I sold a huge collection of books here and got a whopping $54. What is probably more disappointing is how rude the staff member was to me when I asked if I could have my plastic bin back as I was moving that day. I was apparently asking an awful lot. If you want affordable books, vote for your local library levy.

This is one of my favorite places in the whole city.You never know what youre going to find and thats definitely part of the charm. If youre looking for something in particular and its not on the shelf, chat with one of the many super-friendly associates and theyll order it for you from a different location. If you have an item shipped to you it will arrive crazy fast because they partner with Amazon for deliveries.Sometimes the store can get a little crowded because of how small the alcoves are, so I would suggest going in the middle of a weekday if you plan to browse.

The store itself if fine, but today I bought a classic Xbox 360 for 65 dollars and I cleaned it up and was excited to play on it and the disk drive stopped working shortly after. They didnt tell me anything about the return policy or in what condition the hardware was in and I should have just avoided buying it. DO NOT BUY OLD GAME CONSOLES from Half Price Books, they will probably break.

Found classic (rare finds from first and second printings) and eclectic books. Even found the perfect birthday gifts for my daughter who turns 21 and loves all things vintage.

If I could change anything about this store, I wouldnt. We drive out of our way to take our kid here. Nicely organized, random goodies scattered about, and none of the grungy, musty old book smell (which oddly, I dont mind, nostalgia) that you get at most second hand book stores. Nice job...

Always wind up leaving with something! They have an amazing selection of books, movies, games and DVDs! And if you dont see it on the shelf, theres a chance they have it in the back! One of my favorite stores ever!

With bookstores closing all around the country, its great knowing bookstores such as Half Price still exist. Had a great experience in the store. Great pricing of used books and albums. Was even able to come across old noir paperbacks with lurid book covers from the 50s which i find irresistible. Overall a cool place to drop in to see what was dropped off.

Prices could be better. To be honest, they had many titles which were not especially rare and were very overpriced. Rare books and old books are worth your time though.

Sold three boxes of books here mainly textbooks 📚 and got cash 💰 around $91. Happy to know that students can use these books now for less price because they were all so expensive to buy new! Never buy new if you can find the book used and way cheaper. They have a method of going through and buying the books and it was good to make use of something that works. Happy reading and check them out for textbooks 📚 don’t buy them new!!!They’re next to McAllister’s so got a sandwich as well - hauling books make me hungry!I will return to sell more books!

Ive been a fan of Half Price Books for decades, ever since I discovered one in Columbus, Ohio. Then I found two more there. Finally, one opened in Fairborn, Ohio and I could visit more often.

A charming bookstore. A very good place to browse for a while and find something you didnt even know you were looking for, and at a reasonable price.

Holds many amazing books and journals and has a good music selection which concludes records and cds.

Took items in for an estimate, well worth 3-400$ total. The staff was dismissive, pathetic with customer service, offered me less than 20$, got my items confused with someone elses, completely obnoxious, pretended like I was leaving them with items Id brought in, like I didnt know what was mine. 🤦 April fools day was last week people! Ive been in the store before and had a great experience. Management needs to do some training or firing. This place is sh**.

Ive always enjoyed going to #halfpricebooks. I could spend hours there looking around. This location is no exception. I went to this location to pick up the blue ray/dvd of Daddys Home 2 that my daughter had called them about. The customer service was friendly. The employee quickly located the new unopened movie and rung up the sale. It was only $6. The store is bright and well stocked and organized. I was not able to stay long as I had my grandson with me and we were going to see a movie at the theater. Another thing I like about this store chain are the frequent coupons that they email me. I would gladly return here when I have the time to actually look around.

Great more than just books

Always a mini adventure here! I never know what Im going to find, but Ive never left empty handed. Today I found a new release (a special collectors first edition) and some great graphic novels in the clearance section. Highly recommend. They are doing all the right things to protect customers during the pandemic as well.

Good, fair prices on merchandise sold. Decent prices on items they buy from the public. Books, video games, movies, magazines, and even music. We go around 3 times a year to sell off accumulated/unwanted things and occasionally buy from them. Cookbooks is my favorite thing to browse through.

Best place to buy books if you dont want to pay new book prices. Big inventory, and they can tell you if they have something or no.

Had a good selection of books in great condition as well as games! Workers were very nice and had masks for anyone that came in without one. Would recommend for any book lovers to check out!

Very nice location. Not the largest one Ive ever been to, but as always, they have their own unique items!

What a huge selection!! The books are in good shape and the prices are great. It’s my new favorite place to shop!

All their book carts are lined up in front of the selling counter. Therefore, to look at the books across from the counter you have to practically stand on your head to see the titles because you are so close to them. As youre attempting to read the titles every employee and customer has to walk between you and the books with no common courtesy of a pardon me or excuse me. I gave up and left the store. Sad when even the employees have no manners.

This is a nice clean store with lots of books, records, games for all ages. They have a large childrens section and teen section. You can always find a nice welcomed gift for any age here. Lots of parking around.

I went here looking for 5 DVD movies from the 80s. I found 4 of the 5. The only reason Im giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the prices of some of the used movies. I found a couple of these movies at another store new and at a lower price.

If you think youll be getting some significant cash for your used books, think again. I took twelve books, 6 of them hardbound with the paper covers still on. All books were at least in good condition. My total cash = $3.25. Better to sell them at a garage sale if you can.

I’ve always enjoyed Half Price Books. And this location is great, too!One of my favorite things about coming to any of their locations is that they always have little knick-knacks that really help to complete a gift.On my most recent visit I’d called ahead regarding a particular series of children’s books - Fancy Nancy. They confirmed that they had them in stock, so we made a family trip of it. I needed to be pointed in the right direction because I didn’t quite follow how the children’s section was organized. But there were several book options to choose from and I got just what I needed. And at a good price!

I love coming to Half Price Books for many reasons. One of which is because they have the best deals on their books, especially the clearance section. They have a huge variety of books, movies, games, and music. I shop for Christmas presents all year round because they have the best prices and inventory Ive ever seen. The staff has always been really helpful and patience as well.

Paperbacks, hardbacks, comics, trades, graphic novels, audio media, video games and a limited but interesting toy selection keep me coming back to see what they have. Unfortunately, they know what their items are worth and as such, the items have been priced accordingly, so be aware. They also give little to nothing for trade-in. That said, the staff is friendly and mostly leave me alone, and their bathrooms are typically clean.

This place has everything! You never know what youre going to find on the shelves. The selection is well organized. Its easy to find exactly what youre looking for, or spend hours browsing. The staff are very helpful. No, your arent going to make a fortune selling them your used books, but the buy back prices are generated by a computer program, not the staff.

Nothing half priced that I can see here at Half Price Book..They have several copies of two versions of this book. ( See pics) Some in great condition the others old, stained and in an older edition. Both books currently in circulation and available brand new to buy . They both versions are selling brand new at Amazon for $6.99 and at B&N in store for $9.95 regular price. I even saw one at some book store for 14.99. MSRP. This HALF PRICED BOOK store is selling them for 4 cents HIGHER than brick and mortar retail for $9.99!!So how can these USED books be 9.99 ??? not 625 or 445 but FULL PRICE. Sooo I asked. The Manager said, after looking at his computer, be Thats the price. Note they paid as er the computer he was looking at anywhere from 1.25 to 3.50.sooo I said ok thank you and put them back.I am looking for these books because we need as many as we can get, to give away, to help people in addiction. We are buying them to give away free . I am not trying to get them for free Id just like to have these USED, some very USED, Books at half price as the sight out front says. I guess it is not just the internet that miss leads the buyer.FYI: Soo it is cheaper to buy a brand new than buy used at Half Price Books in Beavercreek Ohio.Why do they call themselves HALF PRICE Books??..LOOKING For a deal? Walk on by.Id love to support local.. just be honest and say USED Books at full price.... I might bite... so sad!

Love this place. Bought many books and videos here. Seems to have a lot of the computer/tech books Im looking for. Selection changes constantly. Good collection in learning languages. Reasonable prices on used electronics.

I remember going to another location as a little girl, I was so excited to discover this place still standing! Its better than I ever remember. You can find so many titles at decent prices, they buy books, and just like any other good bookstore theres all kinds of pretty journals and knickknacks. Its bright, clean, organized and really gives that warm fuzzy bookstore feel. I could lose myself in there for hours.

I sold them about 150 books and got $7. What a rip off. They will sell them for $600. Do not ever bring them any books. Mine going to fire station fro. Now on.

We are from out-of-state and we missed our turn because we were in the wrong lane, again. So we pulled into a shopping mall intending to turn around. I was scanning the names of the shops and trough the leaves of a tree I saw the word Books and yelled out to Hubby that the used bookstore I had looked up earlier was at the end. So we went in to browse. Wow! We were in heaven. Staff was friendly and very helpful, and the books, CDs and albums were well organized and easy to navigate.

Always so many cool things to buy. Books, movies, albums, gifts.

Their reselling of books sucks

This is a nice place with a great selection and affordable prices. I always genuinely enjoy stopping by, and they’re a good option when the library is closed or when I want to actually own a book. I also like pursuing their pop culture stuff and their board games.

Great selection and pricing. Very interesting game section. Extensive selection of DVDs, if anyone still buys those. They have quite a bit of vinyl, for all of you retro types. A decent number of comic books, but virtually nothing high-end.

My children and I love this book store. The books are priced lower than other stores, even online (at least for the ones we get). They have a nice clearance section with books that are $1-$2. There is a section with used board games and comic books. They carry both used and new items. During the summer they have a summer reading program where children can earn store credit towards a book.

I always love coming to this place and searching for books. This place has just about anything you need or could want from books on science, diets, American history, world history, Etc. The price of the books cant be beat and they are usually in really good shape. Highly recommend
