Excellent comic book store! Lots of issues, games, miniatures, and other accessories are available. Store owner is very nice and knowledgeable.

Ive been visiting this store since the mid 90s, and they have a good stock of gaming supplies and comics. Bev will make you laugh and make you cry at the same time. Good times.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Theres something for everyone here. Love the assortment and availability of Die Hard dice sets and Magic the Gathering decks, including homemade booster packs. Ive loved going to this shop for over 25 years and hope to be able to go for 25 more.

I have been visiting this venerable establishment for more than 40 years. I took part in the first D&D tournament back when it was located on 9th Avenue in Port Arthur, so it may be evident that I am biased and strongly recommend stopping by. I have been buying comics and gaming supplies/materials of all kinds since the beginning and it has become the benchmark by which I guage all others. From San Diego to New Orleans, from Houston to Dallas, and most recently from Milwaukee to Knoxville, the Book Stan is the greatest of all time.

Huge Gaming store Hemnin an otherwise hard to find area for this stuff. I found one thing for very cheap while the other item i bought was reasonably priced. I all i can say is I wish I had found this place sooner.

Book Stan is the perfect place for gaming needs. They have tons of miniatures and deck cards for numerous games, and they have a wide selection of player handbooks. (They have lots of comic stuff too, but thats not my interest, so I leave that rating to the comic experts)

I love this place..!! Just found it the other day. But instantly I thought WOW! I wish I had found this place sooner! They have everything for gaming. Wall to wall board games, miniatures, paint supplies, dice sets, dont forget the comic books! Wow! The lady working there was real nice and helpful. I purchased a nice vinal D&D chessex mat and some miniatures for about what I would have payed on Amazon. Ill be back for sure.

My husband and I called this store asking about Gundam related items when it came to tools to build the items as well as the actual models I do not recommend this store as the lady that claimed she owns it threatened over phone to shoot myself and my husband if we ever came into her store trying to buy Gundam related items I highly suggest that if anyone wants to get anything that she sells in particular to look elsewhere as there are better deals during the holidays with much more professional and polite employees.

Good place for comics -old-new-preorder-Lots of collection books as well. Toys. Boardgames. Magic the Gathering and other card games. Warhammer. Dungeons and Dragons. TONS of miniatures!! If you are into anything I just listed give them a visit. They have a lot so make sure you have at least an hour or three if its your first visit. 🤣

The lady running was nice and friendly. The store is in a good location, easy to get into. The store is very large for a comic book and game store. They have a very large and nice selection of comic books and collectable items and well as dragon building items.(not sure why or for what). Over all not bad. The price on the comics was decent, a little higher than other locations that have the same issue out. But over all not bad. Will return.

This is perhaps the best store of its kind I have ever visited. They had games that I had not seen in years.There was a large supply of comic books, and a full range of miniatures from multiple vendors. Additionally, the largest assortment of paint and supplies in the SE Texas/SW Louisiana market.

The best store for tabletop gaming in a 1000 mile radius. Amazing stock, good prices and always willing to try to order anything they dont have on hand.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were just there, freshly starting out Magic The Gathering and EVERYONE we spoke to was so nice and informational.Several people were even willing and happy to sit with us and help us play a round, giving us helpful tips and tricks.We got lots of knowledge about the game and good advice about how to start.

Stop by for the first time, the inventory was very impressive. The employee there was very friendly and equally informative about the inventory. I recommend to anyone who is curious about board games, card games, and/or strategy games to stop by and see for yourself!

The lady that owns the place is awful, she is extremely rude right when you walk in you get attacked. Avoid this place

Incredibly fun store to go to. The management is friendly and very chill to talk to. My boyfriend and I went here all the time for Magic cards, deck boxes, dice, you name it! They have a large variety of collections whether it be for DnD, board games in general, action figures, comics, cards of all games, dice, miniatures, etc. You wont get bored there and might walk out with an empty wallet. We no longer live near that shop but if you need a hobby and live near Beaumont, check out this place.

Oscar was interested in Dungeons and Dragons Adventurer League, but after looking online there were no listings in the area, so we stopped by to check on beginner options for Magic the Gathering card game. When we arrived, the staff informed us that there was a D&D league at the store. The group invited Oscar and I upstairs to sit in and observe.When the group got to a break,they invited us to play. It was a fantastic experience and we appreciated everyones willingness to answer our questions and explain the rules. We are looking forward to the next opportunity to play.

The worker(owner? Unsure) was extremely nice to me and my son and every other guest I heard her interact with while i was in the store! She even had a small rubber duck for him just because :) i went in looking for comic books for a craft project and she didnt mind at all helping me! Will be back for all things nerdy!

Ive been passing this place up for years, wondering what was inside, and a friend of mine finally resolved my state of curiosity the other day. This place is SO COOL. It has a warehouse type feel and is FULL of comics, but also lots of other really unique games and nerdy merchandise. They also have a tournament room where they hold regularly scheduled events, like Warhammer tournaments and the like. Im not even into these things, but for those that are, getcha butts in here! Youll love it!

Ive been a loyal customer at Book Stan since 1984. I have never had a problem with the service and the quality of customer satisfaction. If I bought a book and never liked it I could bring it back. They are the best!

If you are a fan of comic books or tabletop games this is the first place you should visit. The store is basically just one large room, but the items you will see will have you drooling. They have so many great pieces of comic book characters, vintage star trek models, Warhammer 40K and so much more. Dont forget to look in the game room at the action figures on the wall.

Locally run comic book store, great place for comics and table top games. Boxes available for regular pick up.They take credit/debit cards. Havent had any issues in the years Ive been coming.

I would not recommend buying singles here. I asked for 3 cards that have a value of $.50 each and they told me $1.99 each (400% of value) because rares deserve more respect.... ok not coming back here again

From Magic to Dungeons and Dragons, to ANYTHING tabletop including the widest range of dice I have personally ever seen. To tournaments of all the listed. For nerds this is heaven! This place is a warehouse for rare collectables, comics, board games, just about everything you can think of.

Ive been coming here for years. As long as youre respectable and dont play with the merch the woman working the counter will be nice. They host MtG parties here and have a very nice room in the back with a lot of props for running campaigns.
