Worst hair cut ever, I told her what to do and she practically just shaved my head, will never return to this place.

First let me say that DJ Estrada is AMAZING! Not only does he do an amazing job with my hair, he also brightens my day! I was always afraid to try new styles and COLOR, but he has brought me out of my shell and now Im just fabulous! I always find the facility itself clean and in order and everyone in there has been very friendly. Worse manager very lazy and does not return a customer call regarding a compliant , leaves the customer on hold for 15 min to never come to the phone. I was over charged for services I did not receive that day and it was never addressed. The stylist ruined my hair for the holidays plus I had to redo my own hair after paying them a harm and leg to screw it up. The company has a listing price for services for the stylist to follow. Yet they allow a entry level stylist to make up her own price is not right. I had the same service done a week before that and was charged according to their list price. Following week i am charged whatever they feel like. Then at check out they hound you for tips. I am sorry I dont tip for dishonesty and bad service. Dont waste your time and money at this dump.

Have been letting Dj Estrada do my hair for at least six years. Master colorist and stylist. Will follow wherever he goes. At 71 years old Im pretty stuck in my ways and can be very conservative. DJ has changed all that. Im now a jazzy Grandma!!

My 14 yo daughter got her hair shampooed, cut, blow dried, curled, and a small braid at the top of the curls. Yes I know she is adult price. The stylist mentioned a 10.00 up charge for her one small braid and curls. That was fine. The (insane) total was 50.00, but again that is fine-I should have asked about the total beforehand. Luckily she let me use the 25% off new customer coupon at the end. She didnt get her hair colored or permed, so the price is extreme, so I will not be going back. Could have gone to a stylist in Lumberton and paid 30. The part that got me though was the hairstylist told me I had to put the extra 10.00 fee for the curls in the tip section due to a computer issue, while my daughter was getting her hair done. She said this was because the system probably wasnt going to let her add that service and that really it should be more but she wanted to do that for my daughter. She had my daughter so pumped and my daughter was wanting to keep using her as her hairdresser but I feel cheated. The part that confirmed my feeling was when she pulled that huge 12.00 tip (almost double of a 15% tip) out of the drawer during the transaction and pocketed it, while the other hairdresser who did my sons hair pulled her normal 1.50 tip out of my sons 12.00 haircut. Also the hairdresser was VERY specific about making sure my son and daughter were two separate transactions on my card, so their tips would be calculated correctly. The pocketing the whole 12.00 did not seem like a normal business practice to me considering the 10.00 was supposed to be for SERVICES NOT POCKET MONEY/TIP, which yes is different than it going toward services and not going to a pocket... but I did not want confrontation and was in a hurry. I have worked for tips before also so I know the legal aspect of keeping tips, and this was NOT right. I shouldnt have put it towards the tip and if she couldnt add the extra 10.00 fee normally then she shouldnt have charged me for that considering that was the only correct way to charge that fee. Also, not even sure how a computer wouldnt let you charge that.. After talking to my husband I realized I was right and that something about this situation wasnt right. I will not be returning and I feel awful about the whole experience. I do not like being taken advantage of. I called to speak to a manager and a girl promised a manager would call me back instead of getting the stylist to call me and work it out. I asked specifically not to speak to the stylist. Guess who called? The stylist. I will not argue with someone. The situation was shady, and the lady I spoke with when I called for the manager even agreed and said she had NEVER heard of someone doing that. Even if I am wrong, I will never pay 50.00 for a haircut again.

There are many stylists to choose from, pricing is fair and products are great! Would recommend the now “Instyle salon to anyone.

I called yesterday to schedule a 4:30 pm appointment with Angel today. I called a hour early to see if I could arrive early and I was informed she was on lunch. So I arrived at 4:30pm only to be advised by Angel that someone else just sat in the chair and if I could come back within a couple of hours. I took off work early to make sure I could bring my son to get his hair done. Why would they schedule me an appointment only to allow someone else to take the slot. My son was and still is very upset, that was truly unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this salon.

We made an appointment for my 13-year-old son to have his hair cut and were called to be told no one was comfortable cutting my sons hair at the salon based only on his name being LeBron and his hair being curly. We were not offered a time to reschedule or any explanation other than they were not comfortable. When I went in to complain about the treatment, they were shocked by my white face. My son is biracial, and his hair is more akin to white than black but he was turned away because of his name. He was hurt. He didnt understand. It was not okay and I will never go here again.

Terrible service. Spent $52 on a wash & blow out and my hair looks & feels terrible!
