I bought a Honda Accord from Mike Smith in 2017. The experience was great and we got a really good deal on the car. Thats where the good experience ends. I have brought my car in for service several times, usually just for an oil change. I made an appointment EVERY time. EVERY time, I have had to wait for HOURS. I brought my car in last week because four warning lights came on simultaneously. I called and made an appointment and told them over the phone exactly what was wrong with my car and when it started. I made an appointment for Friday at 9 a.m. and I told them that I would like to wait on my car to be serviced. This was on a Tuesday. Thursday evening after 5 p.m., I get a voicemail telling me that they are backed up 4-5 DAYS and that if I wanted to just drop my car off instead of waiting, they would be able to get to it. I decided to drop my car off at 7 a.m. that Friday morning. I called on my lunch break and after they FINALLY FOUND MY CAR, told me that they had not had a chance to look at it. I called them back shortly before 5 and was told that they had STILL not looked at my car and would not be getting to it for several more days. Never once did they offer a loaner vehicle. I told them to have my car and my keys out front and I would be there shortly to pick it up. When I got there, I spoke with the service manager (I cannot remember his name). I explained my issues with making appointments and my car still not being serviced. He told me that my appointment was to TALK TO THEM TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY CAR!!!!! What then was to point of telling them over the phone what was wrong with my car!? I have had other cars serviced at other dealerships and have never been told anything like this. I made an appointment and took my car to TWIN CITY HONDA and had it serviced THAT DAY. I will never buy another car from Mike Smith. Even though the buying experience was good, the terrible service is enough to make me never want to go back. There is no service after the sale. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Definitely will not be back. It took them approximately 3 days, to tell me it was my battery that needed to be replaced. No one kept me up to date on what was going on. I dropped my car off on Wednesday at 1:30 by appointment. I said I would drop it off, and they stated they would run it through express and do some electrical testing after lunch because, my car would not start at times, and it would say electrical break issues. And I would have to have it jumped every time that would happen. Thursday comes around, no one calls me so I call them. My service assistant wasn’t available but the receptionist said that my service associate would call me back after awhile. That call never came. My father went up there that same day around 4:30 and they said they had just moved my car in to be looked at. I thought I would get some more info that day but, of course that did not happen. Friday comes, finally around 10:30 that morning I get a txt saying it was my battery and I needed a new one. Gave the Ok for that. 3:15 rolls around still no update lol so I call. They lady says they had just now finishing up and she just needs time to do my paper work and she’ll call me. They don’t call you back lol. I live 30 minutes away so I figure that’s enough time for paperwork. I get there and ask for my vehicle, the lady says she was just about to call me….. for some reason I highly doubt that, but I’ll give the benefit of a doubt. 3 days and no communication happened with them except for on my end, and that’s ridiculous. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with them. My last oil change almost took 4 hours. I understand being short handed, but just let me know that, keeping me in the know isn’t much to ask for. Needless to say I will not be back!

Purchased a Honda Accord from Mike Smith Honda in 2018. Brought in for service probably 10 times between December 2018 when we purchased and October 2020 when we traded it for another vehicle at a different dealership. Most of the times we brought it in were for oil changes, tire rotation, standard maintenance work. The times we brought it in for those things the staff was nice and helpful and it usually only to 30-45 minutes to complete. The last 4 times we brought it in were not for maintenance. 1) We had paint bubbling off of the emblem on the back of the trunk. 2) The dash made a loud squeaking noise (this was actually a recall. 3) The brakes squealed loudly every time we would pull out of our driveway or any time the car was in reverse 4) The plastic piece around the rearview mirror kept falling off. We brought our vehicle in a total of 4 times for all of these issues. Each time on the dash noise we were told that their technician could not duplicate the noise - I could hear the dash noise over the phone while talking with my wife as she was leaving the dealership. They said the brake noise was normal because of the ceramic brakes and moisture/humidity - they dont do that when they are new or people wouldnt buy them. We were told that they had a new manager with DMSF or some acronym I cant remember that would have to approve the paint repair and that they couldnt do anything with it until then. The last straw was when they kept our vehicle for 4 days for all of the issues listed above and the only thing they actually repaired was the plastic piece around the rearview mirror (all they did was put some double-sided tape on the window to hold it up). They offer no courtesy vehicle so you are just out a vehicle, but heres where it gets interesting, I had an extended service contract that I did not realize until after the fact covers any rental vehicle during covered warranty repairs. They didnt bother to ask me if I had the warranty much less let me know that I could have had a rental vehicle. So I called and spoke to the service manager Dale Dowden and let him know that I was not satisfied with the service I was getting and keeping my vehicle for so long and not even addressing the problems. He promised me he would see to it that it was taken care of and that he would call me back the next day. I never received another phone call from Mr. Dowden (not surprising). At this point just being fed up with the whole thing we just took our losses on a trade and got rid of the p.o.s. - they get 1 star only because it wont let me put 0. I wouldnt buy a bicycle from Mike Smith, much less a vehicle.
