Nice locally owned outfitters shop. They do actually carry equipment, not just clothing. I didn’t purchase anything as their prices seem slightly high (and want vs need came into play), but if I was needing something in the Beaufort area this will be the place I would spend my money.

Good selection of goods, helpful and courteous staff, if you are a paddle boarder or kayaker this is the place to go!

Exceptional customer service provided by Tim and Abby and Paula.I reserved several kayaks for guided tour, roughly a month prior to our event. The staff was SUPER patient with me as our numbers changed from those initially supplied, however, they delivered everything we requested with a smile.Our tour guides provided an informative tour and inspired confidence in our inexperienced kayakers. We felt very safe and well-cared for!28 thumbs-up to Higher Ground!

They have some really great products, and the employees are friendly. We went looking for TEVA shoes, and some calling gear. They dont have much at all in the way of camping stuff, mostly kayaks and watersports equipment. So if you want to rent or buy a kayak, this is the place to go! They have a clothing section too, if you need something outdoorsy or fishing related.

Awesome staff, definitely knowledgeable of what they sell and with the area. Would recommend them to anyone looking to get out on the water and all there needs.

Went in today and they were having a great sale but couldn’t get any help. I finally walked up to the counter and the male associate was less than helpful. It seemed like I was bothering him by asking questions.

Found a great bathing suit on sale for my daughter after looking around. The male associate told my son not to break the rubber Silipint cups that he was checking out to buy. The female associate made a big production of folding up the only t shirt that we picked up to look at (which I folded neatly back after we picked it up). She then asked me if I wanted a bag for my purchases....very disappointed in the lack of hospitality especially since I did make a purchase.

I have shopped online for almost a year and could never pull the trigger. So much more satisfying to buy local and get great advice. So very happy with my new kayak!

Probably one of my favorite shops in all of Beaufort! They genuinely care about their customers here and give great advice about local paddling and info on upcoming events.

Great customer service, really nice staff and great gear. They have just about everything you could possible need for the outdoors. I bought a kayak golf cart trailer from them 8 months ago and forgot two of the straps in the store, today i went in for new gloves and they remembered me and were still holding the tie-down straps for me. Awesome people Thank You!
