The young female dr was very nice and respectful 10 out of 10 attitude and customer service. One of the front desk employees was rude tho. She did not want to deal with me or help out with finding the right frames and handed me off to someone else. This one needs a little education in dealing with customers. The other lady was very sweet tho and very helpful in helping me find the right frame I even had glasses put on a second frame I already had. She was very patient and kind.

The Dr. was extremely kind, caring, and ago adorable.I would have given a 5 star but I wasnt pleased with the girl showing me the kind of glasses I wanted. She showed no interest. Over all great place.

I went in without an appointment with my Dr. they worked me in , checked the eye thoroughly. Determined that it was a minor issue. I was out in less than an hour. Very disappointed. Ive purchased glasses for years from TSO in another town. I came here since we have moved to Baytown. Because of COVID we need to make an appointment to view glasses and I understood this, but then I was told I could not enter with my son. My son turned 18 a few weeks ago, but he is on the spectrum and is not mature enough to make such a purchase on his own. I am the insurer and the person paying with my credit card. I advised the employee, but it clearly made no difference. They obviously do not want my business and they got their wish. I have purchased glasses at another business.

When I explained this to the consultant she went and retrieved several options immediately knowing what would work. Very happy with my overall experience here.

My children, aged 8 & 5 went to have their eyes checked when I had my appointment. Dr. Moderhack was wonderful with my children. He exhibited kindness in his interactions with my son who has been gifted with opportunities and challenges like Aspergers, ADD, speech impediment and SPD.Dr. Moderhack took his time to educate me about my eyes and the reason for certain issues I was having. He even showed me pictures from the web to illustrate his point. He was respectful and ensured my needs were met and that his education to me was understood.Jan 2021: The representative who assisted me in finding the right frames for my face shape also took the initiative to go above and beyond to find the right frame for my limited budget. She did not try to sell me things I did not need and showed support for my budget-based decisions. I appreciate the first-class service and respect I received as a patient of TSO.

Dr Christopher Mathews is an excellent doctor that connects very well with his patients. I checked in 10 min before my appointment and was seen early. It was a smooth transition from beginning to end. He greets you in the exam room and walks with you all the way back to the front lobby to personally dismiss himself with a handshake. Details like that are what result in 5 stars. The energy was spot on despite it being the day after New Years. The team work was impeccable. Excellent service. 👏🏻

I called on a Friday afternoon and they got me in that day. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr Waldron was professional and very nice. It was a pleasant experience.

Where do I start. From a public health perspective this establishment should require more safeguards to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 (ie have staff performing exams wear N95s or if theyre within 6 ft for more than 10 min with customers, have disinfectants available for customer use, pre appointment health screen).Upon arrival it was not busy, despite this the receptionists were reluctant to help answer questions regarding insurance benefits. I asked over three times for them to give me appointment dates, its as if they believed I couldnt pay for the unsatisfactory service they would have delivered. Im not sure if this discriminatory as they were pretty friendly with other customers checking out.Warning: Additionally, in a prior experience another optometrist violated state law and Rule 279.2 from the Texas optometry board by refusing to give a prescription to his patient.The only silver lining was Dr. Chris Mathews, who is indeed “da bomb”. Although, customers may never experience that if they dont want to deal with the remaining unprofessional staff.

Will never return. I came here just a few years ago for my specific eye problems- a debilitating astigmatism in one eye and the other sees almost perfectly. I spent time finding frames and lenses that fit for me and didnt break the bank, and I special ordered contacts for my one eye, since the other doesnt require lens assistance. I received the most beautiful glasses. My contact lenses corrected my problem, and the lens for the same eye worked wonderfully, however I could tell the script was wrong. I tested them carefully while driving by closing my good eye until I could read street signs, then switching to the other and finding that I could not see from my good eye for a longer period of time. This is perplexing as when I drive with contacts in I have NO CORRECTIVE LENSES IN THE PROBLEM EYE FOR MY GLASSES. My father spent nearly $1000 on safety glasses wear for his job and was having similar problems, so we returned after a week or 2, just for the lady in front to complain that our lenses matched the doctors prescription and refuse to speak to him about our problems or try to schedule us a time where we could see him. I stopped wearing my glasses (worth about $400) and he never wore his safety glasses. I opted to instead wear my $100 contacts prescription and wonder why the hell I spent money on my beautiful frames. I mean when I tell you I cannot see with my lenses but I can without I would hope you care enough. Honestly if not for this, my first experience here, I may have renewed my prescription here 2 more times by now, and wouldnt have stopped wearing corrective lenses all together when I had no access to my contacts case and solution- I wouldve had useable frames to substitute.

A agent of mine went here a few weeks ago to conduct a regular service transaction and was cornered into a purchase of $200 legal tender for a pair of frames in standard size, plastic material. Im still having a hard time fathom whom authorize Texas State Optical options to manipulate Value Market Prices on any of its product since no prices are being adverise. Is Texas State Optical in accordance with S.E.C. legal statutory standards.

My family has been a patients of TSO / DrWarford for years. Couldnt ask for a better provider of optical service.

It was the first time buying eye glasses and I shopped around. I could have bought cheaper glasses else where but TSO had a good reputation so I spent a little more. I bought everyday glasses and safety glasses for work. Was also told if I bought the lens scratch protection for 2 years I could call them and they would order lens and then come in and 10 minutes replace the lens. Great huh? Well I went in today to get my work safety glasses lens ordered, well they say that they have changed labs and have to send the glasses off and would be 7 - 14 days to get them back. I asked if I could get the money back I paid for the lene scratch protection and found out that was not an option.One of the selling points the salesman kept making was that I wouldnt be without my safety glasses, which I thought was really a great deal!So you sell a product and have your customers buy extra service and then change your procedure and not offer a refund for something you said would happen and doesnt. I have to have safety glasses for work. (Everyday glasses will not pass for safety glasses.)TSO, This is was my first and last time buying from you! And from working in the refineries here in the Houston area, you can guess what my response will be about TSO.Really Disappointed,Kent

This office tends to be very busy, especially during the afternoons. Most likely due to The Prestige of the TSO name and luxury brands that they carry. I actually went into the office for my exam and the office was definitely bustling with activity and seemed to be unnoticed however, once the staff was caught up I was promptly addressed and attended to. Ive been coming to this office for several years and have come to expect a high level of service so initially I was a bit disappointed with the initial part of my encounter with Tso. After addressing the issue to Dr Moderhack he insured that I was made a priority and his professional attention to the matter was greatly appreciated. The biggest turn around happened once I sat with the optician Lee to actually pick out safety glasses as well as everyday glasses. He was not only knowledgeable about Style and options for my glasses but made me feel valued and appreciated as a patient. After being educated on what fit and lenses would be best for my prescription I ended up leaving with four pair of glasses. Additionally , I returned the following week with my mother who also had an exam and got an amazing pair of Gucci glasses. So amazing that I had to get the same pair for myself as well. I just want to say thank you to the doctor, technician and staff for making what could have easily been a not-so-good experience to one of the best encounters that I have ever had with any medical facility. Id like to give a special thanks to Lee for treating me with dignity and giving me the respect that Ive come to expect from TSO Baytown. Not only would I and have I recommended this office to my friends and family but have found a permanent home for all my Optical needs. Thank you for exceeding my expectations.
