The experience was good, its cheaper than I thought.

This place is still open and they are remodeling too, so is nice to know that they still have some offers there, on the kids side they change the toys area they have less toys to offer hopefully they get more things as soon as they finish remodeling. They now have shopping carts which I think it comes super handy because before they only had baskets or nothing to carry around your things

Its not what it used to be and its still expensive. They need to close down so the mall can be rebuilt already. This store and Macys are the only two stores that are stopping the mall from being rebuilt

Jcp Baytown needs a remodel. The dressing room was horrible. The whole store needs better buyers the merchandise was horrible. The only thing keeping you afloat is your staff, they were friendly and helpful. Hope you dont go down the drain like Sears etc, etc !!

How is this place still open?! Placed my online order nearly 2 wks ago...each item is either “canceled” or “not ready for pickup”. This happens all the time. I wonder how long they will let this drag on? I just want to cancel my entire order and order elsewhere like I should’ve done in the first place. Save your time and frustration!!

I have been going to the hair salon at this JC PENNEY for approximately 6 years. The salon is clean, comfortable, & well-equipped. All of the stylists are friendly, knowledgeable, & interested in the customers needs & wants. However, Flo is THE BEST!

It is an old store in an old location. The wait time was not to bad to get checked out at the register. They gave lots of clothes choices and lots of house shoes and purses. They have a really big clearance section for all ages and genders. Go check it out.

Salon visit!!!! Explained in great detail to the front counter receptionist that I wanted neon rainbow underlights. She then went and consulted with Lupe (assoc. #0315). Lupe stated that the process would be around $80 dollars and the wash and cut would be an additional $23.00. When I arrived for my appointment I had too wait 20 minutes. Once in the chair Lupe asked me what are you getting done today. This was the first indication that this was not going to be a professional experience due to the fact that I had scheduled the appointment with her knowing what I was having done. Once I explained to her what I was there for, including a picture of the colors, she stated oh we dont have those colors here. I was so upset and disappointed, she had told the receptionist just 5 days earlier yes I can do that, no problem. I decided to still proceed with the wash and hair cut. She stated being that you want inches cut off the length it is best to cut it dry so you can see how it is really going to lay. She then proceed to cut my hair dry and then sent me on my way at a cost of $32.00. I WILL NEVER RETURN NOR REFER ANYONE TO THIS SALON FOR ANY SERVICES. Only left 1 star because I could not proceed with this review without choosing something, otherwise there would not be a star chosen at all!!!!

Went to Hair salon at like 8:25pm close at 9:00 pm.the 2 Ladies were fabulous they were all smiles great service Thank you ladies I love my new hair cut!!

Pretty decent, just as any JCPenneys. There was a salon and some deals on hair products. They had a department with nice appliances, but the prices should have been lower. However, great deals on small kitchen appliances like air fryers, dutch ovens, food processors and copper products.

Mall is being renovated. Obviously that comes with lower quality displays. Prices are competitive.

Great discounts on a lot of items

Ok so its Pennys but it is Baytown Pennys and it has a very strange and musty odor. The lighting is horrible and the layout is dizzying. Selection is decent though, probably because no one goes there. I feel bad for stores like this but it is the way things are going. The hair salon still does good business.

They had a huge sale... I saved over two hundred dollars on my purchase. The associated working the registers and floor were very helpful, and friendly. I will shop at this store again next time Im in Baytown.

Fast and easy

Walked in around 4pm with my daughter for a simple kid wash and cut, expecting to maybe have to wait a little, no big deal. There was at least three stylists and one customer leaving and one in a seat. Was told they had no openings for the rest of the night. After we walked Penny’s for about 20mins and went to leave as we walked by the salon two of the three stylists were sitting in chairs chatting...Must be nice to get paid to not work. Also, when I got to my car I logged on to ‘book an appointment’ just to see and there were 4 availabilities.

JC Penney Baytown location. Mall is getting torn down and only a few stores are staying behind. Limited selection on items but its crowd free shopping. I was there for like an hour and saw maybe 10 people.

My girlfriend got clothes at good discount prices and they have good service.

Store is always in total disarray the past several years. They also no longer carry many products like they used to. Its like the people who work there just dont care any longer.

Good bargains great selection

Worst hair cut ever. Showed picture and asked for the cut. I asked for it to be a little linger than shoulder length, its right at my shoulders like a bob and 2 inches shorter on one side. Asked for it to be layered cit straight across. Asked for it to be cut dry because my hair is super curly and will shrink, cut wet right after wash. Asked for her to shave my indercut down, cut it with scissors. Luckily manager didnt make me pay because she agreed that it wasnt what I asked for. If only it would let me post pictures... literally cried when I left and again after I straightened at home and seen how uneven it was.

I must be old. I dont see any of these places calling themselves a good retail outlets. Clothes all over the place including on the floor. People walking on them. No working except at the registers. This is not what I remember jcp, sears roebuck, Montgomery wards,Foleys, macys,or dilliards. I guess it is gone.

How are you a black hair stylist and you cannot do african american hair but you get giggly as heck when someone of a different race/ethnicity come in. This place is horrible. The only good stylist they had was Geisha and shes gone. And as far as the store goes, I wish a giant would come in the middle of the night and kick the whole d-mn store down. Clothes piled up everywhere, toys all over the ground, and why would you put the underwear and bras for women at the front of the store. Why is San Jacinto so ghetto? What is going on with this place? There is urine on the floors at the establishment. I repeat -- THERE IS URINE ON THE FLOORS HERE. Ive seen fecal matter on the wall, the floor, in the sink, I really dont know what else to say. Baytown is a hick piece of crap and the stores just remind you of that. JCPenney has gone down. I miss when we would get the huge catalogs, the Christmas catalogs, you just got a good feeling going to this store, especially around the holidays. Now, all I can do is walk through and not stop to look at anything. Even the workers dont want to be here its so bad.
