This was our first visit to Costco Wholesale Bayonne location and we were so surprised with its wide, clean and well-maintained space compared to other branches.We got mostly everything we were looking for so we were satisfied with its product lineup. However, the line of checking out & item count by the exit were super long. We didnt think its due to the crowd but the efficiency of staff since we even didnt see lots of people on their shop floor.

Have been a fan of Costco for many years. Finally there is one close to where I used to live. At least I get to shop there when I visit. Costco staff is usually friendly and helpful but I have to give extra kudos to the staff in Bayonne; they have gone above and beyond and several occasions.

Great for bulk items and gas. We visit regularly as they have some food items we really enjoy. Id you have a family or have the storage space, you may want to get a membership.. just be prepared for bulk!

This Costco in Bayonne is practically spotless with ample parking on all sides of the facility. They have all of the most popular Costco departments including a Tire Center and value-added Costco Gasoline. Great prices and customer service. I found it worth the drive into this distant area of New Jersey. FYI, during my visit they were actively encouraging social distancing and the wearing of a mask by customers. I also discovered that they are not offering any food samples during the pandemic.

I love Costco! I save more when I purchase here. The only thing is that I wish they wouldn’t be changing the isles where they put the stuff at. It will save me more time and I’ll be able to leisurely look around for anything that I might get instead of going around looking for what I have and needed in my list.

This branch has a BBB Liquor store right next door. Always easy in and easy out so thats a plus. I wish I knew the young ladies name that helped me with flowers for my husbands 50th she was AMAZING and went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect match for his table setting. Thank you so much 💓

Huge store with good selection and super service. One star deducted cos items come and go. For instance, many cheeses are only available for a week or two and we never see them again. BJs is more reliable in this.

I love the always fresh bread. You can always find fresh flowers as well. Youll find this place can replace your supermarket. Its serious.

Succeeds in providing the unique Costco shopping experience without tremendous lines.I came here with my wife on a Sunday and surprisingly did not have to deal with any lines at all. This location has all the usual Costco offerings: wholesale sized products at wholesale sized prices, exclusive items, tire center, gas station, pharmacy, hearing and vision center, and more.There is of course no shortage of bulk goods, like a 55lb bag of dry dog food or a 25lb tub of laundry detergent. The comical proportions range from solidly economically (get all your trash bags for the next year in one box) to hilariously impractical (watermelon sized cans of tomato sauce). But that’s Costco.Overall this is great location. Less than a 15 minute drive from downtown Jersey City, and with a reasonable volume of shoppers, this should be considered a go-to. Cheap gas is the icing on top. Highly recommended.

I appreciate this costco because its never really crowded. I went on a Saturday and checked out about 1:45pm. You can shop without people on your heels due to it being overly crowded. The self check is the best option but I do have to say I experienced discrimination today. There was a Caucasian and Hispanic employee at self check out. I had a lot of items and would have appreciated one of them using the scanning gun to assist my checkout experience to be easier and faster. However they were only assisting other Spanish and Caucasian customers. However out of the blue came Natasha an African American employee. She assisted us which we gratefully thanked her for helping us. Employees should assist all customers and not show preferential treatment.

This place is so organized, clean and spacious. Best Costco ever. Most of my friends and family members from Staten Island especially my brother loves to come here. You wont be disappointed 😌

This is a big Costco and we went there at around 6pm on a weekday. It wasnt very crowded and the staff was good. The self checkout counter needs more staff and it wasnt very smooth going there. All in all same great quality Costco products and pizza

Costco is a great place for getting items in bulk. I dont do all of my grocery shopping there as it would be too much $$$ but there are some things you cant pass up because no one else has them. The lines can seem long but they move pretty fast.

Loving the self check out! At least I can pack my own bags now even if the machines are incredibly sensitive and self checkout is always a drag when the machinery continually asks you to move or place or remove the items on the platform kind a wish they make that less sensitive. But this Costco is always clean well run with a friendly helpful staff

Been a fan for years, cant go wrong

Highly recommend going to this Costco if you live close by. This is much better than the Staten Island Costco. It is less crowded and easier to find parking. It is also much bigger than the Staten Island Costco. So if you want to avoid the crowds come here. Even on the weekend it is less crowded than Staten Island.

Cotsco in general is very good: assorted price and customer service ... too bad I cant say the same about the tire service I went and bought the set of 4 tires for my car even though I was about to not do it because of the bad attitude of the employee there His impatience and his bad way of speaking made me tell him that his bad attitude bothered me. He left me talking alone when I told him to please take good care of me then another employee came out who knew how to tell me to speak in English when I speak in Spanish with my father because he does not understand the English language! what is this ? discrimination? How is it possible that in a conversation that was not with him, the employee told me to speak English? Please do something with these people, after me another person came and was treated the same and what they told him was that they work in the workshop and attend the cashier and that is why they do not have much time to attend to the customer, what a shame we do not deserve to be treated like this

Never that crowed but a basic selection.

This is the best Costco in the area. It is kept nice and clean and it is very large. Supposing because it is new that it is not so. Crowded at this point. They have so many items and the service is excellent!

No asking No blamingLast time probably three or four weeks ago, I went to Costco Bayonne for shopping. After making payment, I pushed my shopping cart to the checking out point. I handed out my payment slip to the Costco staff for checking. Unexpectedly the staff immediately found I didn’t pay for all items I bought, and there were total 6 items in my shopping cart but only 4 items had been paid. I was surprised and didn’t know why that happened. Had no more time for me to react to the situation, than the staff called her supervisor。The supervisor came and said that it was okay and you just needed to pay the difference. He took my credit card and made a payment for the two items, and let me go. I said nothing, didn’t explain why I didn’t pay, even didn’t say a thank you to them, and left.The whole process last for two or three minutes, and both the staff and the supervisor didn’t ask me why you didn’t pay, or blamed or criticized me for not paying. But my first thought was that it meant stealing something from Costco. As a matter of fact, I was a thief! However, the supervisor didn’t ask me whether I intentionally or not intentionally for not paying these two items. Not at all! It seemed nothing happened there.Inside my car and driving, I recalled how I made payment. I only picked up six items: 2 everything to ace high school biology and chemistry books, one rotisserie chicken, one bottle of soy sauce, and some snacks I didn’t remember exactly. I went to self checkout machine, and started scanning my items. When I scanned first two items, I asked a Costco staff, who just walked to my side, how to pay membership fees here. She immediately worked with the machine and then told me that it was all set and I could continue making payment. Then I continued scanning remaining 4 items, and paid with my credit card. When I made payment, I didn’t realize there was a problem and didn’t check the payment slip. I wore my reading glasses that helped me roughly read big letters, and the same time I had another reading glasses in my pocket that let me read everything clearly, but I didn’t pick it up to read my payment slip in details.(1)

Love this store! Always has enough electric shopping carts for those who needs them. One problem, theyre starting to lose a few products and they arent restocking!

The store is clean but the bathrooms are gross. Some stuff is pretty pricey but they have great mark downs. Thats if you can catch a product on sale. Youd need to be at the store before 11am because they sell out of sale items quickly. The staff is friendly, but Ive witnessed management talk to the workers like animals. THATS NOT COOL AT ALL!! My overall shopping experience is usually simple and easy which is why I rated this place a 4.

I didnt go inside this Costco. I stopped by the gas station, which is HUGE. What is good to know is that it is open to the public and you dont need a Costco membership to get gas. They also pump the gas for you, since its still illegal to pump your own gas in NJ as of this writing.

I prefer to pay the toll and come to this location instead of the Staten Island location. Less crowded, better selection, and lower sales tax.

Bayonne Costco is the best grocery store in the town. Gets busy sometimes, but there is plenty of parking and this staff moves those lines like a well oiled machine. Store is super clean, staff is super helpful, great return policy, great prices. One of the best Costcos Ive been to.

So much nicer than the local Staten island shop. SI is an overcrowded zoo. Costco shopping is never stress free, till now.

Great place for bulk shopping, although you need a membership to actually come in and buy stuff. Their gas is the cheapest in the area and you don’t need membership for it. Stock changes all the time and they often have cute kids clothes and adult clothes and shoes that are good quality and decent prices. Some days they have samples they give out as well. Downside is that weekends are really busy and parking is hard, and long lines at checkout. Also be prepared for the bulk package so if you don’t have storage space may not be for you.

This place have majority of items than any stores I have visited in NJ.Parking is ample and less congested.Gas station folks are pretty fast.

Excellent grocery store for almost everything you need for your household. Quality of products is excellent. Prices of most of the products are competitive in the market. If you have good sense of market prices, Costco is excellent for your groceries and other products. I think they need to improve their membership program and they need to make membership more open & elastic. Overall Costco is an excellent wholesale store and more popular than other competitive wholesale stores.

I’ve never been to a friendly Costco!! The manager Neil was beyond helpful. Costco is a great place but usually they are not known for their customer service (sorry to say). This location is exceptional and we had such a great experience.

There has no more CoQ10 on the bottom, I ask the guy from pharmacy, he told me all sold out. And I saw it on the top of the shelves. I ask him, can I get that, the guy working on the pharmacy told me no, they will not take it down now. He is not even try to help at all, so I ask someone else, he was helpful and take it down for me. That is why I change from 1 star to 3

I love Costco! You have everything from tooth brush to baking powder fruit cheese just everything! Fresh high quality, you can walk around for hours. They also give you taste some of the delicious products along the way. The Costco products are cheap and High quality! At the and you also grab a delicious warm pizza for a dollar or two.This location is new and very nice, good service! Close to the light rail so its nice if you dont have a car.

Its a huge place... My only issue is that there isnt a labeling system there... I mean it would be great to know what aisle has what products rather than go hunting for something in all the aisles looking for one item... Narrowing it down to different sections and naming it would be helpful. Labels like baking needs, candy, juice, cereal etc would be helpful...

Good place. I shop here since moving to Jersey City in the past 6 months. Used to live in Union NJ and I would shop at the Union Costco. This location is missing two items from that store. Organic Cashews (steam pasteurized) and Big Bag of peeled and cleaned Garlic. In CA all Costco’s have EV Charging. If you build a brand new warehouse why don’t you include some EV Charging Stations? I see electrics in the parking lot all the time and we cannot fill up. I have a 100% Electric Car. I wish I could fill up at Costco.

Horrendous customer service at this location......I went there today after receiving both an e-mail and voice mail notifying me Neutrogena sun screen I purchased last summer had been recalled. I take the can of actual sun screen the proof of e mail and the voice mail. They tell me they have no record of me buying it , and refuse to refund the money. Mind you It was Costco who reminded me I purchased it there. Not to mention this quick summation took over 40 minutes and 3 different representatives.....

No complaints about inside Costco service but, why do people have to come 2 hours before opening and make a huge line but instacart shoppers can just go to the back and enter without standing in line... what is that about?Dozens of people coming out with even 2 carts full when people have been standing in line for hours.

Not very busy in off hours and the staff is really helpful. When it gets chaotic they are very supportive in pushing folks through.

Not a bad place to shop if you have a large group to feed. The check out lines need to be more organized when it is crowded.

Ran in to use the restroom after dropping some family off at the port. It was extremely crowded.

This place has a serious issue with people cutting lines and disrespecting the standard procedures and common courtesies of shopping. Theres no reason the staff should tolerate people cutting off other costumers.

Great location with full selection of anything you would find at costco. It is laid out well and everything is pretty straightforward to find. They also have a liquor store inside that sells a good selection of wine and spirits. Beer selection is not as large but the options they have are always good.

Costco’s pharmacy is incompetent. They got Moderna vaccine but said that they aren’t available because they don’t know how to thaw it. This is not a new technique! What a joke!

I love Costco. I’ve been going there since the day they opened. I kinda got kicked out with my friend because we went there everyday. Anyways, I really like the bulk items and the diversity. They definitely cater to the diverse population of Bayonne and surrounding areas like NYC. The workers are nice and overall the atmosphere is clean!

It was fine. A few items I picked up last month, they dont carry anymore. Oh well. In and out quickly, as I went early. Also, used self checkout.

The cashier gave a guy to scan my Mothers Costco card.he scammed and told my Mom ,youre spending too much money!!! With a attitude embarrassed Us!!! The way they approach us was wrong,very improfessional He shouldnt be working there,scaring people and embarrassed them for no reason all I was doing paying my bill!! Never again go back there to Costco!!! I wented to complain with the Manager,all he said sorry about it,and I will be checking..

This is the best Costco Ive ever been to. The prices are unbelievable. They have everything under one roof. Plus so much space and the store is clean!! Self checkout was super fast!!

Customer service was rude. I had a shop card sent to my email from McCormick because of their product issue and the people there didnt even took time to read the email/Shop card info I was trying to show to them to better understand the situation instead they just say that they havent seen that digital shop card and left us paying the whole amount.

I went for several times. And I got spoiled ribs and fishy seafood. This never happened to other Costco I went before. I always thought Costco is the guarantee of quality. But this site is really a “game changer “. :(

Im not a big fan of warehouse clubs. However, the Bayonne Costco is well laid out has friendly and attentive staff. They also clean their carts and follow CDC recommendations to the T. I feel safe shopping here and would recommend them to anyone.

Clean, organized, has the basic household needs and more (electronics, furniture), nice variety of ready to go meals that just need to be heated up, and has a food court with typical choices (pizza, hotdogs...) for a quick bite. Our location has a liquor store, auto care, and gas station.👍

Great shopping plaza where you can find anything, food, restaurant, nails salon, etc. parking lots are spacious and mostly well illuminated. It is connected to the light-rail and It’s clean and accessible from main roads and highway! Also, I love the water views of the port nearby. If you are looking for one place that has a great variety of options, the Bayonne Crossing is right for you!!!

It has a sameness to it thats depressing, and they keep limiting my choices with bigger and bigger packages.Id like to shop here more but the increasingly large bundles make it impractical.Costco used to have better sizes for smaller families, and some interesting seasonal variety. I liked it better then.

I reason more: this value and philosophy helped Costco achieve a great business, and could it be applied to political issues or international issues? Wonderful experience. There is this manager name “Najjah”, she helped me a lot to find what I was looking for. She left what she was doing and went straight with me to solve my issue. They are there to help when you need.

We shop Costco a lot since the pandemic started, there are a few locations around Jersey City but this is by far our favorite. We try to avoid the long lines by not going on weekends. They have a pharmacy which is extra convenience & the liquor store next door is one of few places that carry my favorite rum....one trip covers all our basic needs :)
