I grew up in queens so I’m pretty picky about my bagels, with that said this place has become my go to bagel place on the south shore! If you can get there early, the bagels are fresh and don’t need to be toasted which we love over here! There’s a nice selection of varieties of bagels and spreads, and they do have a decent breakfast/deli menu with pastries and snacks available. And of course coffee ! I never wait more than a few minutes to order and receive my order, even when it’s busy....a it does get busy. Let’s not forget the staff is always warm and prices are right! Highly recommend this place.

The BEST bagel on Long Island. Only thing I got were a couple of everything bagels. Ive had some of the other goodies, that are available.. A wide variety of food and sandwiches, youll never be disappointed!

Bagel boss is one of those places that remind you of New York back in the 90s when you can get a fantastic deli sandwich early in the morning just how you like it for work or before school. The staff here are very professional sometimes they wont look you because theres a lot of customers in there oh, but when they eventually get to you they do take care of you. I have been in there a couple of times and Im sorry to say I didnt feel like waiting because it took too long but other than that the food is good.

Waited over 20min. Staff is very slow. Understand that it is hard to get help. But this was bad . Had to leave went to a bagel place down the road ...

The food is definitely good here. Service is kind of slow and my sandwiches are often not made right. But they’re very good at reconciling their mistakes. The quality of the food makes up for everything else.

I was back in N.Y. from Florida, all the way out in Riverhead, and on my way back home I had to stop at Bagel Boss because there are no better bagels anywhere in this country.

The bagels are Ok. But there prices are way over the average. Example - plain buttered bagel and small coffee $6.50. That is at least a dollar more than any other bagel place on Long Island.

The staff was quick to help me, however half of my order was wrong. Clearly it was rushed. Two of the bagels were supposed to have butter and they had cream cheese. Also one of the bagels was supposed to be sesame and it was a plain bagel. That was disappointing to me especially because I was bringing the order to someone else.

Everyone is friendly and welcoming at Bagel Boss of Bay Shore. Which cannot be easy when dealing with some very rude, obnoxious, disrespectful people with false sense of entitlement. Whew... God bless them. The service is efficient and the food is exceptionally good. Loyal customer for decades; I order dozens of fresh bagels once a month by phone for no contact delivery since COVID-19 lockdown began 3/2020. Thank you, Lisa for the deliveries. Havent tried anything else yet but got a sesame bagel with butter and it was amazing. I was a baker for over 7 years I know a good bagel when I see/taste one and these bagels are some of the best in New York

Called in for lunch a buttered bagel and an egg sandwich. As always 15 to 20 minutes or so, waited about that showered up and waited about another 15 minutes while employees gaze at me and walk by finally I just called over the counter asked for my order, was told it hadn’t been made yet, I’m gonna need to wait. Multiple employees walking around doing seemingly nothing, took about another 15 minutes at that point I need to return to work so I left, with no food and unaware of the purpose I chose to order from here, used to be good better yet great. Not anymore

So SLOW. I came in for a breakfast, by the time I was able to order it was lunchtime. Thankfully David stepped in, hes the only one working with any pep in his step.

Bagel boss is one of the best place to get a real breakfast sandwich i would have a photo if i didnt eat my sandwich so fast lol and they have so many different types of bagels which my girlfriend always gets

Bagels are VERY difficult to chew. OVERPRICED! I paid @$8.50 for 2 rubbery bagels with cream cheese!? Place was busy- but I have no idea why. They need some competition in the area.

Ordered a hero from them and it was incredible. We’ve been patronizing this bagel store since their inception. Bagels and bialys are always fresh. The best is when the bagels come out of the oven piping hot. Mike the owner is awesome.

I went here this morning at 10am, I paid for someone else’s order since the guy was in the military service & I wanted to do something nice for him during this hard time with covid, put wait till I tell you about my experience with my order. I ordered a chicken bomber sandwich which every time I had it it’s always been good & my favorite put no this time, I specially asked on a roll with Russian dressing and when I got home the sandwich had no dressing, chicken cutlet was mushy& dry and tasted horrible, go somewhere else where there is better places to get a sandwich digested with my order... 🤢

Love the place. But when it comes down to getting on line to get bagels. Is a nightmare. The deli line moves faster. I decided to text my order in the next I go there. Lets see if that works better.

Long lines, terrible customer service. Not worth the wait! They care more about the online orders than the customers who are standing in front of them. The lines are completely disorganized, if you can call them lines, a mess! Never ever again!!

I went there this morning. Ordered ham egg and swiss on an egg everything bagel..The store is very clean and the service was really great.Every one stay safe....

Asked for a ham egg and cheese. The guy I ordered from did not speak English well. Needed help with the register and told the other man no huevos I then asked if he just said no eggs? There are eggs right? Guess what no eggs. Please make sure your employees who take orders can communicate with your customers.They also forgot to toast one of our bagels but we didnt stop him when he started making it so as not to make a big deal, they were busy. But the no egg is too much.Edit: came back a few days later. The woman who took my order coughed multiple times without covering her mouth right above the baskets with all the bagels in them. I immediately left without another word and will never be back. DISGUSTING.

The long line might lead you to believe theyre worth it (the bagels are amazing) but only if you actually get what you order, which only happens about half the time. CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING. You will order a bagel with strawberry cream cheese and end up getting whatever they feel like putting on it. And apparently customers who call ahead from right outside the door can skip the line. Because thats really fair. Their bagels are good but its just not worth the hassle. A bagel is a bagel.

Very hearty and appealing food. Safe place during the covid-19 pandemic. The employees are friendly, service is more than excellent and the food is delicious 😋. Wide variety of choices for breakfast, lunch and a decent dinner. Loved it and it wasnt hard on the wallet. 🙂🙃

Everytime I try to call in a order I get hung up on or put on hold for 5+ minutes. I think ok they must be busy then when I go to pick up my order there is 7 employees behind the counter and not a lot of customers. Answer ur damn phones and attend to your customers!

Michael and Mary are two of the kindest and most patient people Ive ever encountered in the service industry. The food is fantastic and they will bend over backwards to make sure that youre happy. Wonderful, wonderful owners.

Line was very short. The bagels are also very short. The counter was short. I think a lot of people were wearing shorts when I was there which was never. But I plan to go shortly if I do ever go. But ya know, life is short so I just don’t know if I’ll ever have the time. Short. What a strange little word.

I ordered a bagel with vegetable cream cheese , that said there was little to no cream cheese on the bagel. I think they were closing as they were cleaning up. Very disappointed they would serve a bagel like that.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I placed a order and for ONE bagel with one spread. They told me 30 minutes, i then come in 30 mins later and they completely ignore me let alone im the only customer. Then they say what do you want and i then tell them how i called in my order and they said they did not have it. After some searching they find my ticket and go to make the sandwich but dont do it correctly or with any MASKS. I have been coming here since i could ever remember and i will NEVER go here again due to the lac of customer respect and cleanliness

Gloves need to be changed in between each order. There’s no reason the person who is making my food is handling cash/cards also.

Terrible. First time I got food from them and last. I called in to place an order and the woman first was getting my order wrong over the phone. After repeating myself over and over I figured my order was placed correctly. I waited 40 mins to pick up what was supposed to be a breakfast platter with HOME FRIES. I have placed this at many other places and you get 2 eggs, bacon, home fries, and even toast. I did not notice ny order until I got home. What i got was 2 eggs and 2 hash brown same you get a mcds for 1 dollar. I paid 7 dollars for this unacceptable order. I will never go back here again.

Never witnessed a more poorly managed deli in my life. Every time I come here there is 4-5 people “working” behind the counter. Realistically 1 or 2 are actually working and helping customers, when the other 2-3 just stand there and walk around with their heads up in the sky. This morning I was the only person on line at 7am and 4 people were behind the counter, it took 3 minutes for someone to help me. Because of the management this place doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

Love mornings in this place. Best coffee, and friendly service Ive come across. Great egg sandwiches, and an exceptional crumb cake are also worth mentioning. But by far, its the energy there, where beautiful people come together as if to celebrate Bagel Boss East and its great success.

This bagel place is conveniently in the center of town and unfortunately the only place I can order breakfast from without traveling far. Workers are not friendly, with the exception of a few. Been coming here for years but today I was totally turned off. Seen a good amount of fruit flies on the bagels. When we informed the worker they did not even seem to care just looked & said “oh yeah” & continued to work. Disgusting !! will not be coming back here at all !

Bagel Boss is a small bagel shop in Bay Shore Commons. It’s located near Stop & Shop and other food joints. The bagels are delicious, and the rest of the food is pretty tasty. However, the lines are quite unorganized, and you will probably end up waiting for 5-15 minutes depending on your order. This place is typically busy and packed all day, especially around 8-11 a.m. But, if you are willing to wait, then I recommend Bagel Boss. They also have delicious pastries.

When you think New York Bagel THIS is what you are thinking about. Been visiting this location for 10+ years and the service and bagels are great. Egg bagel is my go to but they have a ton of variety.

Today I went to get a couple bagels for my mom while she was having her radiation treatment across the street. As the service was quick and really nice, the bagels were really hard to chew. They were hard and I didnt end up eating it. So I ended up not eating and it took my mom a hlf hr to eat it..so thumbs up to the employees but not so much the bagels

This was my first time here and will be my last. The person that took my order was not friendly at all, no good morning or are you being helped she started by telling me Im on the wrong line, meanwhile another server just took an order from the people at that same counter. I didnt even have a chance to tell her it was my first time there and was unsure where I was supposed to order. She finally did take my order though, only to get home and find it was wrong. To the owners if you are reading this 1) get customer service training for your workers and 2) put up signs that clearly state where to place your orders and where to pick them up so people are not all over the place.

Great Bagels. This place has taught me two things. 1. Bagels and coffee are a must to start the day off right. 2. Dating sites are no place for short men.

The food there is great the only thing that I dont like about the place is the line. The line is always long it goes from from the people taking your order to the door. However the staff there are very nice people.

The bagels are so good the sandwiches are very big and delicious you can make two sandwiches out of one. The salads fresh all the time and very tasty. The staff has always been very friendly to me I dont know about other people but I never had a problem.I definitely would recommend Bagel boss.

Terrible service and only adequate (but nothing special) bagels makes this place a must-skip experience. Every time Ive been there over the years the people behind the counter have been either rude or negligent or both. The lines are long, and dont even try using the text-your-order option. Youll stand at the counter waiting for 30 minutes to pick up your bagels while every employee avoids making eye contact with you or just blatantly refuses to respond to you. Management doesnt care either or try to help. Truly awful.

I went here yesterday to get 2 bagels with chicken salad. When the cashier rung me up it was $17 and change!!!! Even one of the other employees questioned the price, but the cashier said that was the price on her menu pricing chart. An employee who has been there for some time said the owner raised the prices because of cost increases. However, they raised their prices $1 per sandwich which I thought was excessive. The employee who mentioned the price increase said they always have a line out the door. I said it wont be much longer if the prices are being raised by that much

Not the best. Not the worst. Not very friendly. Not mean. Not very clean. Tables needed to wiped down. Tastes is okay. They overcook the bacon. They also didnt put napkins in the bag.

I absolutely LOVE bagel boss! As someone who is friends with a few staff members, I think people should bear with them. Seeing lines out the door on a busy weekend is a bit overwhelming for the employees. The food is well worth it! And all the staff I deal with are so friendly. I went there today and the young girl who helped me was the sweetest! Im a sucker for an egg bagel with chicken salad. One of the managers Stacy i think her name is , is kinda rude but otherwise great staff and great food. They have my business forever!

Im very happy with this bagel place the bagels I went there at noon and they were so soft Ive never had a bagel so soft and so good before this is definitely my new spot and they should everyone should write them 5 Stars cuz theyre pretty good

Everyone is so rude in this place especially the old guy with the white hair and this old lady with blonde hair. They are extremely rude. If you do uber, or door dash or grubhub, dont even go there. You have to wait at least 30 minutes for your order. One time they even forgot to make my uber order like wth? But whatever. I’m not going back! Not worth the headache!

Good Bagels, but you might get bloodied up and mocked by the staff getting them. Or they might get your order wrong. Or they might all be hanging out in the back at 730 am on a Saturday and it will still take 30 minutes to get a bagel with no line. Sometimes theyll sell you yesterdays bagels at 6 am without any head-sup. And thats the ones they dont ship to their other store Bagel Brunch that they dont tell you is affiliated and old bagels.

VERY skimpy on the cream cheese. Usually bagel stores drown bagels in toppings, I had to add cream cheese from my home to make it edible. 1st time at this location, very disappointing.

Three people behind the counter.... no one in front of me... in fact all they where doing was wiping the counter down... took about 15 minutes for one of the older guys who was toasting a bagel to finally ask if anyone was helping me. Oh on top of it I also had 3 people behind me. Everytime I come here it is always a long wait. It has come to a point that the only reason why I still come here is because they are the only ones still open after 2ish.

The food was good. Its kind of hard to mess up a bacon egg and cheese. The customer servcie is not up to standard. There are 8 yes eight people working up front and it took 3 minutes to place my order with no one in front of me. Most of the staff was bickering about their job except the one lady with the tattoo on her neck. She was the most help by far

The wait has become intolerable. The line was out the door and down the sidewalk. I was there for 8 minutes and in that time ONE person came out with bagels. I finally have up and left along with many others. I never made it in to the store. This was my last try to get bagels there. I am a 30 year patron and I am saddened by this

This place has gone so down hill in the past 10 years its so sad. I dont know if the guy Mike still owns it but if he does he needs to take a look around. Unless the bagels are just out of the oven they are stale. The service is HORRIBLE. One woman was standing in the back just chatting with a worker while the line is out the door. Then another women is waiting on people chewing food with her mouth open. If you are waiting for a cooked sandwich forget it they are so slow. There are so many other bagel stores go somewhere else.
