I gotta tell ya, LA FOOD MART has the coldest beer in Baton Rouge, no question! (Metal cooler) How can I be so sure? Because there is ice crystals in the beer... Any colder, and it would be frozen... So its possible somebody else has beer as cold as LA FOOD MART but its not going to be colder... unless its frozen... Anybody like frozen beer? ... (The beer is for my grandmother, who loves a cold, not frozen beer!) Thats what first caught my attention about LA FOOD MART but what kept me coming back, was the fast, friendly service of the staff! No doubt... Thanks guys!

Absolutely love this place! I go almost every single day, and all of the staff are always welcoming. All of the employees have great senses of humor, and we are all on a first-name basis. They have a diverse inventory and keep their shelves pretty well stocked. The hot food they serve during the day is pretty good too. The boudin is my favorite. Everything is priced well, also.
