Over the years, I have had a few things fixed at AV electronics. I have always had great experiences with this business. Prices are more than fair considering I can not fix it myself & it’s a lot cheaper than replacing, if not he let’s you know it’s not worth fixing.

They disassembled my Cancorder and told me it would be 1 month for him to fix it for $200. So I told him I will pick up my camcorder the next day, I arrived 4 days later and the technician did not put my camcorder back together, it was not in the same condition as when I dropped it off. I found a repair shop in Califormia that is much cheaper.

Well, despite the bad reviews I said to myself ehh, people usually misunderstand when someone says something or maybe they are just rude to the business themselves so they received the same in return. You know, benefit of the doubt? Thats definitely not the case, haha. The foreign guy on the phone was about the rudest customer service person Ive ever spoke with. I literally dont understand how someone like that is still in business but oh well. If youre smart, find someone else. Im not sure what the quality of work is with these folks, but I am certain I will never find out. I work too hard for my money to give it to someone who is perfectly comfortable treating their potential customers the way they do.

Kept my amplifier for 2 months and every-time I call week after week they would say one more week, one week, one more week.I never did get it back.The company I bought the amp from apologized for AV Electronics bad manners and horrible service and the company sent me a new amp free of charge.AV Electronics is by far the least trusted and worse service Ive ever received anywheres.Ever!I read other reviews,and it seems to me like this place is just interested in your $30 deposit,although I did not have to pay one because it was supposed be warranty service I am sure the company they were servicing this through for me did pay something and they got nothing in return. Beware of places like this.This place does need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Similar experience to others. Dropped off my Panasonic Receiver at the beginning of the week, and I was told I would receive a call by the end of the week regarding what needed to be done. I waited two weeks for a call and finally called them, and they said the repair was going to be nearly $250! The receiver is maybe worth $70-90 on eBay. The only reason I was even willing to pay to have it repaired is for sentimental value. The receiver worked somewhat before I took it to them, so I know that any repair shouldnt cost that much. I wish I had read these other reviews beforehand so I could have saved myself the $30 deposit.

Do not bring your electronics to these people people. They are rude and only offer 30 days warranty after they so call fix something it breaks again within 30 - 45 days they will not fix it

I am DONE with this company. I have been doing business with AV electronics for many years and am not happy about the technician NOT telling me everything that was wrong with my TV. I have a Sony SXRD 60 inch and needed to have a lamp installed. He did that but the quality of the picture had a green haze over it. He told me only to adjust through the menu. Got it home and did that only to do research on the internet to find out that I needed to have an Optical Block installed. I called the TV tech (the owner) and he says yes he knew that was what the TV needed but he doesn’t do that kind of work. Then why take my money for the lamp install and NOT mention that more work would be needed? This is not professionalism at all. AV electronics you have just lost a long and loyal customer. I sure hope you dont treat other customers this way. I normally dont write negative reviews but I really want this company to know that they need to straighten up their act.

Guy that answered was very rude and got loud with me. He will be last place I go to. He’s lucky I can’t put half a star because I would in a heartbeat.

My very expensive Samsung TV was blown out when lightning hit a tree next to our house. I called and the owner was very honest about what it might cost. We dropped off the tv and he called the next morning with an estimate. It was very reasonable and he had the tv fixed that afternoon. Very very nice. Will go back and would recommend to friends!!!

This place is a major scam. I took my Xbox in to get fix. It was $20 to check it then they would give me a price to fix it. They called me the next day and said $140 to fix it and it can be done the same day. I said no thanks, I’ll come pick it up.... “ I can get a new one for 180” ... she said it will be two weeks before they put it back together, so basically since I wasn’t spending more money I had to wait. I went up there the next day and asked if they could please just put it back together so I could send it into Microsoft, which I shoulda did in the first place, and the lady said Ok then she asked for my ticket and said come back after 4... I went in at 4:30 and the lady in the front asks for my ticket, I said, remember I gave it to you earlier?! She said no ticket no Xbox. I was shocked. Finally they let me have it when I showed my id. These ppl are ruthless. Very shady!!!!

Horrible experience. The owner quoted one price to repair both of my projectors and when work was complete (after a month of calling) the price had doubled. We had a verbal agreement over the phone, which will never happen again. Make sure you get it in writing! I filed a complaint with the BBB of Baton Rouge and of course nothing came of that. Save yourself from the same bad experience and go somewhere else for your electronic repairs.

Do not go to this place. Its not authorized to repair most camera brands and they are now charging $30 just to diagnose the problem.

Wasnt satisfied with customer service on call. Did not answer my questions promptly.

I dropped my nefew PS4 off there to get fixed and the guy claims that he has been calling and calling but he never left a message and when my mother went to check on it he claimed he junked it so if you thinking about bringing something there in the future dont they are scammer and have horrible customer service

Over priced used items.

Slow. Unreliable. Gave me false information repeatedly. You have been warned. This is the only repair shop in town. Get everything in writing.
