Recently we had a kitchen remodeling project done with HB Kitchen Bath. We chose them after a bit of comparison and discussion with their project manager (PM) Wei. He was very nice and explained the details in prior regarding the project. Since we were pretty new to the remodeling work, Wei helped to clarify a lot of construction doubt for us, e.g how to level the surface, choose a proper size kitchen hood, etc. We were learning a lot during the process with their guidance and suggestions.In addition, the designer Miao we worked with was also very helpful. She helped design and organize the material supply through the process. During the remodeling, one of our material was over sold and the vendor could not deliver on time. Miao helped finding some alternatives in very short time without delaying rest of the project.Last but not the least, the price they asked was very competitive given the quality shown in the photos.The team was efficient and responsive. It was a great experience working with them. Thank you again for the work and help provided. I would definitely recommend them!

I love my new kitchen! HB Home Decor recently remodeled my kitchen and half bath. The result is beautiful! My project manager was Aidan. I absolutely love working with Aidan! Aidan was very easy to talk to and very responsive. What I appreciated most about Aidan is that he kept me updated throughout the project, which made me feel less anxious during the remodeling.I would also like to mention Christine. She was my designer. Christine was so wonderful to work with. I appreciated her honesty and professionalism. She helped me choose the cabinets, tiles, and countertops without being pushy. Even though we had some issues like the tiles didn’t arrive on time or the countertops broke (vendor‘s fault not HB Home), Aidan and Christine did everything they could to make the experience go as smoothly as possible. Between the two of them, somehow they helped make my kitchen bigger than before the remodeling even though we didn’t change the layout. That’s how good Aidan and Chistine are at their jobs! Since my friend highly recommended him and mentioned we should prepare earlier, we contacted him half year earlier :) We found Wei is very nice and kindness during our first call.The home we want to do kitchen remodeling is an Eichler Home, which isnt an easy case for most contractors. However, Wei gave us a detailed insight of remodeling plan from the house owner perspective by explaining every plans pros/cons and providing the reasonable estimates. We felt that Wei fully understood our concerns / how we think and our decision process. So we decided to move forward with Wei after interviewing 4 contractors - we felt so lucky to make that decision in the end.Wei made the whole process straightforward and seamless. We also bought cabinets and countertop from HB Kitchen which are all in good quality and price reasonable. Wei helped us apply permit and he was very prompt, detailed oriented, analytical, thorough, and can did in his evaluation of plans. He would answer every single question in full details and explain the pros and cons of each options. The workers from his team are very handy and kindness. They would also help you clean up when they finish their daily work, which surprised us a lot. They made progress every day and I felt so good when I checked the remodeling status each time. They finished the whole project within 4 weeks even though he mentioned it may take 6 weeks - you can understand why they are standout among all contractors in Bay Area!! Highly recommended.HB kitchen helped remodel our galley kitchen. These folks are an absolutely amazing lot to work with. They went out of way so many times to accomdate our needs and ensuring that we were truly happy. Eva was our main contact person but I can easily say that rest of their team were helping too.Our kitchen remodel was highly constrained as we werent changing any walls or structural changes. Besides it being a small kitchen, we were really particular about space usage efficiency. Eva must have made like 10 to 15 different designs for me, and never showed frustration :) The thing with prefab cabinets is that, while economical, it comes in only limited sizes and often a lot of space is wasted in fillers. Eva really helped us minimize that. There are so many fine things, but if I have to point one, notice the full wall tall 6 inch wide spice rack between the refrigerator and the wall - that was HB kitchens idea to maximize our space usage and give us something functionally usable. No other cabinet store, including the whole lot on Brokaw Rd had ever proposed such an idea.Our remodel was planned to begin just around the time covid lockdown order came in. Unfortunately that meant uncertainty and hustle, as situation was evolving very fast with store closures, stopping all construction work and so on. HB kitchen, on their part, prioritized things for us and ensured that at least I didnt have to deal with cabinet delivery uncertainty. My remodel still got delayed, but at least not due to HB kitchen, who put customer satisfaction above all.

We recently completed our complete kitchen makeover with HB Kitchens. HB was recommended by couple of friends. Our cabinets are from an Italian company and were installed by the cabinet contractor, but HB did everything else. I was a little nervous working with two separate contractors but there were zero issues. They worked around each other’s schedules and coordinated the dates of the delivery for tiles and Miele’s installation. HB additionally took care of all permits.HB gutted my old kitchen, removed old tiles. They redid the electrical including outlets for appliances & cabinet lights, new LED ceiling lights, etc. They suggested locations of lights, switches, & outlets. They updated wiring from the main panel (per code) and added for radiant floor heating. They updated my main panel and also added an outlet for my EV car charging in the garage.HB replaced my kitchen window, installed radiant floor heating, new tiles, and prepared the place for the cabinet contractor. After the cabinet contractor had installed the cabinets, Miele came to install my appliances and HB made sure the electrical and gas lines and water connections were ready for their pre-inspection and subsequent install.They installed my quartz counter top, sink, garbage disposal, instant hot water tank, water filter, and the hood over the cooktop. Wei, one of the owners of HB, advised me on the brand for the sink appliances based on what he used on his own home. They grouted the tiles last to avoid them getting dirty.All their workers were very good – each specialized on a different aspect of the kitchen. They were polite, timely, and took pride in their work. During the entire process, they put plastic sheeting as needed to make sure that dust did not go into rest of the house, and also put a special zipped plastic thing for the kitchen entrance so we could still enter the kitchen area to go to family room. We kept our old fridge in the living rom and they put cardboard on the floor to make sure it did not get damaged. Also whenever they left at the end of day they made sure things were left clean and tidy. Wei, one of the owners and the one that gave us the original estimate, visited frequently to see check that everything was going okay. He was also very prompt in responding to SMS and called back promptly to answer questions and discuss dates for next phase etc.I am a handy man with a very good eye for details; HB did everything to my satisfaction (that says a lot). For the countertop, we had picked veined Quartz. I wanted the veins to appear in a particular way for backsplash and the waterfall. HB worked with me on this and I even went with them to the Quartz warehouse to layout the slab cuts with blue tape so that veins were to my satisfaction; in one place there was a misunderstanding in our communication and HB took care of that by ordering a new slab. Wei said, “ I do not want you to compromise on the design - it would keep bugging you down the road as you use the kitchen.”Every thing was timely. Some minor delays because of tile delivery, or Miele’s appliance installation, but HB worked with us around these schedules.. While I don’t foresee any problems, but if they do arise, I am confident that HB and Wei will standby their work. I felt their prices were competitive and reasonable.PS. I can’t resist giving feedback on our Miele appliances. Don’t get sucked into Miele’s marketing. Their dishwashers are not the best (smaller than US/Japanese brands so fitting large sauce pans is a problem); also it does not clean as well as my previous Kenmore, so trust the Consumer reports ratingsMiele’s refrigerator is excellent but other appliances are good to very-good. Miele’s look/aesthetics is fabulous,. In hindsight, Would get a different brand of dishwasher for sure and perhaps even a different gas cooktop.In conclusion, my experience with HB Kitchens was great - they are very professional and their workmanship is excellent. Highly recommend them!

You should really find an experienced designer for your kitchen design.We went with a relatively new designer who only came for a few months. Multiple mistakes were made from the design which costed us extra time and money. The designer gave us at least one less crown moulding for the kitchen so we had to drive an extra trip to get the missing pieces. Also the designer gave us a shorter height refrigerator cabinet. The standard refrigerator height is 70 and a 21 inch wall cabinet would be better for an 8 foot ceiling. Instead, the designer gave us an 18 inch wall cabinet. It has a large gap in between the fridge and the cabinet in which I ended up buying one another wall cabinet and asked my contractor to reinstall the cabinet. You couldnt expect the customer to examine all the details for a long list of kitchen cabinets. The customer would rely on the designer to make the most sensible decision to some point.Though the new designer was patient and responsive throughout the service, we would have a much smoother process if we went with someone with more experience from the shop.

From the past 2 years, Wei and his crew have become a family to us. Extremely professional and delightful people. He understands customer empathy to the fullest. Recently, we had to replace our vanity lights in one of our bathrooms. Made a call, he got the crew scheduled and replaced it WITH NO CHARGE. I offered money but he said Pappa, no charge for you. Please keep in mind that no contractor would do it for free after 1 year of house remodeling. This is the additional quality of Wei. Its not a fire and forget relationship. He remembers people and have a personal relationship. This is my experience working with him. Way to go, Wei. Cheers to more successes in future to you and your crew.

They left no stone un-turned and overcame all obstacles(and believe me there were MANY!) They do not treat you as clients, they treat you as FAMILY. Extremely empathetic! For example, Wei was more concerned of us living in hotel and he told us I will make sure you move in .You cannot pay money for mortgage and staying in hotel. His crew worked tirelessly as if they are renovating their own house. Amazing passion, energy and positive vibes from everyone (from showroom folks to last person in the crew). Oh, forgot to mention...fast forward 2 years, I called him yesterday as I had an issue with one of my lights. He picked up my phone in < 3 rings, remembered me & my family(greeted everyone) and sent his crew to diagnose the issue on the next day! We are working on the fix as I write this, but how many contractors have you seen who greets you as if you just met yesterday even after 2 years of job completion and makes you feel so much comfortable that you dont have to worry at all. I would HEAVILY RECOMMEND them for any house related job. You will NEVER GO WRONG with Wei and his guys!! Book fast as he is over-booked. We were highly fortunate to hire Wei as his team for our job. Before starting our remodel, Ive heard tons of horror stories about dealing with contractors. Most contractors didnt even respond with a bid or came in insanely high. Im glad we went with HB as they were very reasons of with all of my requests. In the end, everything turned out great and we love our Alice cabinets.

Good things is that they work with MSI!Also, sales representatives are friendly and helpful. There were some miscommunications regarding delivery time but they called and clarified the situation. Time estimates are a little less accurate than what you expect, so prepare for a day or two here and there. Other than that you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Wei was quick to tell me that my project was too small and he did me a favor by taking my job. Threatened to put a lien on my house.Detail - Hired them to install new floor+paint on half-bath. After some work on flooring was done he was not happy that he didnt get paid for partial work - I asked him to finish the work before I pay him. He sent me some nasty text messages.I had to settle the contract mid-way and finish the project myself.Update:1 .he now claims i was violated payment terms for sub-2k contract! SMH.2. he seems to be all nice (by other reviews for him) if you job is big. otherwise, beware.3. finally, its clear someone is helping him write these growling passive-aggressive non-apologies.

We had a great experience with HB kitchen bath and learned a lot on what to expect for future projects. Loo was our engineering contact. Loo was extremely knowledgeable, patient and forthcoming with any anticipated unknowns. The crew (Chang and Yu) were honest and expert craftsmen who did their best to ensure the project moves smoothly. We literally handed over the security of our home with almost no supervision and the project was completed on time. There were some minor slips from the suppliers but Loo kept us in the loop for any delays. Kudos to Loo, the front office staff and team.
