I love bookstores, I could spend hours here.The atmosphere is peaceful and clean.

Was a place of relaxing with a good coffee and espectacular books.

This seems to be a popular B&N; when I got here on a Sunday morning right before opening, half the parking lot was already full. They have a great game section and a huge cafe (with snazzy tables!). Im a bit disappointed that their manga section is on the second floor in the corner farthest from the escalator (looks like no one had been there in a while, and the display cases were messed up), but I guess that kind of thing just doesnt sell well here 😥

I love bringing my kids. Its so amazing to watch them just go to the kids section and just sit and read. Amazing environment every time we go.

We went to the coffee shop to meet some friends on Sunday afternoon. The tables for more than 2 were back, an,at least right now,masks are not required. Coffee was good and pastries were fresh and crisp. We shopped recent books and magazines. My only disappointment was that the needlework magazines had been moved to the top shelf of the display requiring me to climb on a step stool to reach them.

I checked online for the book I wanted. It said it was available for curbside in 2 hours. So I figure let me just go get it. Nope not there. I may have looked at dang near all the books. I found some that were similar, but I still want the one I had my heart set on. It wasnt meant to be I guess.

This store has a soothing atmosphere. The assiciates are quietly helpful. They let you enjoy your space and take time to make your selections.

I love the floor layout! Reminds me of an old fashioned book fair we use to have in school! Escalators and coffee! Games for adults and plenty of games for children! Legos, arts and crafts etc. Laptop accessories, bibles, and even tarot cards!

Great selection of books, board tames, music and miscellaneous.

Its a good Barnes and Noble. One of the better ones Ive been to. The problem here is not with this store but with the chains model. Prices here are almost always significantly beat online.Worth it for the clearance section which occasionally has board games, notebooks, and childrens toys.

Wow!!! The two story Barnes and Noble was awesome!!! I went straight to the music section and found a ton of CDs for 4.99!! I also got my extra 10% for having my membership. It was clean, quiet and the cashier was so friendly and helpful. Wonderful shopping experience.

First time in Barnes & Noble search the whole place looking for a study Bible. They have a customer service desk but theres nobody at the counter to help customers. So I feel like people getting paid to do the job but theyre not doing their job customers got to do the job for them and they get paid after walking out paying $125.00 for the stuff by purchase I have to go back one more time to do a return Im probably the last time I ever go back.

Barnes and Noble is my favorite bookstore to frequent. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly.

I love Barnes & Noble when I go to that why they got so many books that you can read although I love Chicken soup for the soul and they have reasonable prices and sales so I love Barnes & Noble

Great prices and selections! I love to look at the crafts section. I used to manage a bookstore, so I know when the employees put a lot of work into the stores appearance. It shows that these people work very hard!

Place seems to be gradually shrinking its stock. Despite the large size, you can tell things are arranged to make up for empty space. Its not a bad location, but I feel that its gradually on the way out.

How is our beloved retail static media corporate venue fairing in the days of eBay, amazon, Netflix and Spotify? The answer, as it turns out, is not great. Some layout changes since my last visit. Shelf space much reduced, fewer islands. Video and music section has been looted. Criterion Collection titles 50% off, so get on to that ASAP. Transparent plastic shields at checkout as a nod to C-19. Hard to imagine this place will be open after Christmas, if even that long.Shame, really. I love wandering through bookstores, even corporate spreadsheets made of pulp paper. I even learned to love the caramel Frappuccino.p.s.- if you cant make date night at a bookstore work, there is something wrong with you, your date or your relationship. Work on yourself and figure it out.

They have a new look! The top floor is fiction and the lower floor is non fiction. While its weird if youre used to the old set up once you get accustomed it flows really well. Oh and they have super nice staff members

I like this particular Barnes and Noble, because it has a top floor. No other location has an escalator to bring you from the first to second floor.

Always wonderful. Love going there Im just browsing for things I never knew I always wanted. The staff is friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Great sale on magazines, calendars, and day planners. I dont get to go nearly as often as I wish but I always enjoy the trip. Its great that you can look at the online store and find if there is a book in the local store if youre looking for something specific and if they dont have it in store you can order it online.

OMG... where do I start?The salesman who helped me name was Jules and he was AWESOME!!! I went in looking for 4 specific books and he walked me straight to them with ease! He knew exactly where they were located and that was impressive to me. We engaged in conversation and I must say he was very knowledgeable. This was my 1st visit ever to Barnes and Noble but I will always remember this beautiful encounter! Jules also recommended 2 additional books for my son and daughter in which by the way they loved them. My daughter says she already read The Hate U Give in school last year but she was excited that she now has her own copy to keep. Excellent job! I also complimented the manager on such a wonderful experience and employees who were so helpful! The cashier name was Sam and he was also a excellent help! I got a membership because I felt so at ease with my entire experience there. Thank you guys!

I Like Learning From Books

They have got quite few discount books now. The bathroom is clean and the aisles are appropriately spaced.

They had exactly what I was looking for and when I needed help someone was right there to happily help. Also the cashiers went above and beyond helping me. I bought a large toy and needed to hide it so the kiddos wouldnt see it in the van and one of the cashiers ended up going to the back to find me a box. Also the prices were fair.

Found what I needed for my son. Book even came with a read aloud CD for him. Wasnt overly priced, I would even say fair. The selection is great, found everything I was interested in, and some. I also enjoy that its two stories, as in has an upstairs. Very cozy.

Not very many employees this night but what few they had were very helpful, they located my book and walked me right to it. Store was very clean and comfortable. Loved the music section too.

Brick and mortar bookstores are quickly disappearing, so nice to have this store in Baton Rouge.Well stocked, well kept and staffed with helpful knowledgeable people. The employees will approach the customer and ask if you need help. Hard to find service like that anymore. Books, games, educational toys, coffee, treats, pastries and more.

This location has a 2nd-floor balcony level where you can look out over the first floor. This bookstore is large enough to have everything youre looking for (theyll order it if they dont have it), yet somehow feels cozy between its bookshelves. Before Amazon, Barnes and Noble was the premiere physical location for buying physical books. This location epitomizes their standing at the turn of the century: a monument to their once-great empire. This is the best bookstore in Baton Rouge.

Barnes & Noble is always one of my favorite stores to browse and purchase books. I’m so glad that we have a nice one hear in Baton Rouge!

I gave it 5 stars because this is a great place to take the kids to kill some time: rainy day, too-hot day, whatever. The prices are silly but my kids know I wont buy anything for them unless its a book less than 5 dollars. The bathrooms are always clean. The cafe is pricey, but again, a good-behavior treat for the kids.

If you have a love of books this is your place. They also sale Movies and Music, and have sections of gifts to buy throughout the store. To top it off Starbucks is in the store for a nice cup of coffee or tea. I Love this place...

Wonderful selection, friendly and helpful employees, great cafe. I found books Id been wanting to pick up as well as a quiet table in the cafe to do a quick bit of painting. Its a fantastic place to spend an afternoon!

Went here to get some coffee and read while the power was out at my out due to transformer blowing. Coffee was great and the cookie was fresh. Place is clean and staff friendly. As always. Great local books section that I found quite interesting. Check it out next next time you go!

Barnes & Noble is a wonderful book store. Amazing selection across a huge variety of subjects. In addition to a great selection of books, they have a great selection of games, journals, travel guides, magazines, and music. This location is pleasantly configured and has many displays that always peek my interest. I love to browse this store.

It appears the store is being reorganized. Books that were supposed to be in the Manga section were in the Religion section.

A big let down. Didnt have 1 book for what i wanted. Couldnt find anyone at the help desk. Waited and waited. Went to look for myself. Then finally found an employee who seemed annoyed that i asked for help. She seemed annoyed, short, and just unhappy with me. Needless to say I wont be returning here, besides they are overpriced. I found a book in the store for $29, and online for $16. Same book, free shipping, and no annoyed, or aggravated employee to deal with. What happened to customer service, and thank you for coming in, and oh, your the person that pays my salary that sort of old forgotten thing. Remember that your boss only signs the check, the customers provide the money!

This is one of the nicer, larger stores. They have spacious sections with room to relax and flip through the books. The cafe area is a good size, but can get busy. The store is often crowded though, so, if seeking quiet, seek out the off peak hours.

One of the best book stores in the city. Great selection, including new and local releases. Excellent childrens section. Good selection of games and learning toys too. Gamers meet up on must Friday nights for board games at the Starbucks cafe. Also had a music section upstairs that I have not yet visited.

The young man that helped me was knowledgeable was not put out by helping me was genuinely happy and enjoyed helping me find my Young niece a book for her birthday I thank him again.

I love Barnes and Noble! This bookstore is loaded with the most interesting books, etc. Lot of etc. Its gorgeous, quiet, peaceful, comfortable and has cozy spots throughout the store to read. There is a beverage and snack area with so many delectables. You can be in this store for hours and only wonder where the time went because it is so fascinatingly pleasant. It is an extremely enjoyable place.

This is a good Barnes and Noble location, they keep it clean and organized and have a good selection of inventory. I would like to see them put the adult stuff up somewhere that the kids wont see it, the last two times Ive been there there had been a book on display with half naked women passing successively on the cover. I actually moved it the first time and then came back and it was out again. My 9 year old son was embarrassed.

We love books! Browsing thru this store always opens our world to new adventures and opportunities to learn! Wonderful and helpful staff!
