I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! I grew up in Southern California and have traveled quite a bit in Mexico… I also happen to cook professionally, and hot dang, this is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My boyfriend, who grew up on Arizonan Mexican food, agrees with me. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! So much so that we ordered a whole second round of food to take home and throw in our freezer. Even beyond the food, the owners are as sweet as can be. They were both so incredibly friendly and hospitable. I live in the Bay Area now, but will go so far as to say that El Ranchito is the best Mexican food in the state! Thank you so much! This gives us even more reason to drive to Oregon now.

Seriously almost never go 5 stars because it elludes to perfection... this place is authentic as fuq, super friendly service, and amazing good food, and its kinda in the middle of nowhere.... stop and enjoy!

Good place to stop and grab a bite to eat. They have reasonable prices and respectable food quality. I have consumed Mexican food all my life and this is not far from authentic. The tortillas were good, refried beans also good, but the sauce on the enchiladas could use some freshness. The rice was not the best Ive ever had, but not bad. Id eat here again.

After driving past this small restaurant for several years, I finally stopped. And I am so glad I did! This is a family owned place and you feel like youre visiting them in the dining room of their home. Nothing fancy but the food is absolutley delicious! I had the birria (made with beef, not goat) and my friend had carnitas. Both were fantastic. I will definitely make this a regular stop o my future trips thru Dorris!!

The Chile Verde was really good! Ask for some of the spicy (hot!) Red salsa on the side and you wont be disappointed. The corn tortillas were freshly made and were near perfect. Horchata was also very fresh tasting and delicious!Service is very friendly and helpful!

Delicious! Amazing, multi-layer flavors in the tacos and burritos. The beans are a family recipe and theyre great. And my burrito was huge!

I hated Mexican cuisine until I decided to finally stop by this place after driving truck by it for FIVE YEARS!!!! That was TEN YEARS ago. I’ve been a regular to this familia ever since. Try their beef chimichanga without beans or chicken 🐓 fajitas or 🌮 (they’re HUGE!) and ALWAYS ad their homemade MILD salsa.

Excellent chimichanga (the best I have ever had - even in Mexico). The couple that owns and operates the restaurant are lovely and were very welcoming even when we arrived 5 mins before closing. Highly recommend!

I like this spot! They give splendid meals, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is very trained, I love very much eating all their dishes. Ordered a Carnitas burrito to go. I don’t think they know what carnitas is. Definitely don’t know how to make it. Plus it was mostly rice and beans. Save your money or try a different spot.

Its right off main Street, outside restrooms, kept tidy and the customer service is excellent. The prices are fair, indoor seating, they have music CDs for sale for road trips, and a flat screen for entertainment while you eat. There is outdoor seating for nice days and its basically in the center of town so excellent location and plenty of parking. Now the Food is Huge and AMAZINGLY delicious, I highly recommend El Ranchito if you are a fan of Mexican Food and you are in the Area, I give this place my stamp of approval. 💯💯

True traditional Mexican food. Husband and wife team do it all in a small ,very friendly atmosphere. Food can be customized to suit your taste buds. Call ahead at dinner time to save time if you want take out. Located on the main road thru Dorris,Ca,it is a very popular place with truckers,but dont let the small size of the restaurant put you off. Service is quick,tastey and youll be wanting to return every time you come thru town.

Got a carnitas burrito. Was all beans and rice. Been there 4 times. 2 were good. 2 not so good.So if you go i hope its on a good day...

Turned Vegan a year ago for blood pressure 💚 heart reasons. Asked for a Vegan Chimichanga, no dairy, no meat, no lard cooked beans. She said okay. Not only was it HUGE, but it was better than a meat loaded chimichanga AND it was FLAVORFUL! Not doing a tofurkey for Thanksgiving this year. Ill be bringing El Ranchito Vegan Chimichangas! 😋😅
