Barnaba Autosport deserves more than 5 stars. Bar none, the best car buying experience I have ever had. From my first call with Chris I could tell the experience of buying a Porsche from Barnaba would not be a typical used car buying experience. He was very patient, answered all of my questions, and even educated on me on the differences between several different models. When I flew in to pick up the car, Chris had us in and out without wasting any time. The car was even better than pictured and described. Chris even called me several days after the purchase to check in and see how everything was with the car. 5 stars arent enough for Barnaba Autosport and I already cant wait to buy my next Porsche from them!

Just got my 2005 911 home from Barnaba Autosport and highly recommend! The entire experience was amazing from initial contact, to looking at the car, test drive and pick-up. Ron even took the time to help teach my how to drive a stick which is far above and beyond what you will get at any dealership.The showroom/shop is incredible with beautiful cars everywhere and an amazing staff that really cares for the cars. I purchased a 2012 911 Carrera from Barnaba last week. I live in Atlanta and used the internet for a national search of cars. I wanted a 997.2 for a fair price and found one such car at Barnaba Autosport. I just bought a new, to me. 2005 977 Carrera S. It was my intention to purchase my car from Barnaba, but I found one that I liked out of state. Ive had the pleasure of having Barnaba work on both my 1994 3.6 turbo and my 997 GT3 (I actually also had Ron arrange the sale of my turbo and I purchased my GT3 from him). You wont find many guys more passionate or knowledgeable about Porsche cars, or more honest - check out Rons long term racing history with the brand. I had been looking for an air cooled 911 for a while and was fortunate to have stumbled upon the one that Barnaba Autosport had for sale. Not only was I fortunate because of how great of car it is, but it connected me to the Barnaba Autosport team. Ron was fantastic to deal with. He was available right away to meet with me and he is a genuine person who cares for each car under his stewardship. I had been looking to purchase my first Porsche (my dream car) for a while. I was very particular about the year model and color. One day while searching there it was! The car I had been looking for. I immediately called Barnaba. I spoke with Ron about the vehicle and we set up a time for me to come see it. From the very first phone call I could tell this was going to be a great experience. I got to the dealership and the car was exactly as described. Ron took the time to answer all of my questions on the vehicle. You can tell he really stands behind/cares about all the vehicles he sells. During the test drive Ron drove the car before I took the wheel. That test drive was a true experience. (if you know, you know) After the test drive, I decided to purchase the vehicle. I needed a week or so to get the funds in order and Ron said he wouldnt sell the car to anyone else (even though many others were interested). He is a man of his word and the car was there waiting for me once I had all the cash. It was the best experience I have ever had while purchasing a vehicle.Fast forward a month later. While driving with my wife at night I hit a metal pipe in the highway going about 70. I was able to avoid hitting it head on but still clipped it pretty good. I was obviously concerned that I may have messed something on my dream car up, so the next day I brought it to Barnaba. I spoke with Mark in service and let him know what happened. He immediately said We need to put this on a lift. I would feel better if we checked it out. He immediately put the car on a lift and had his tech stop what he was doing to inspect the whole vehicle for me. Luckily, all I needed was 2 new rear tires (because one was torn up pretty bad) and an alignment. He ordered the tires for me. And had all the work done for me a day early because I mentioned I wanted to go to the last Porsche event of the season. I will be getting all of my service done with Barnaba. I bought a 1999 Carrera with Factory Aero Kit from Chris at Barnaba and I could not be happier! Given that I was a couple thousand miles away, I had to rely solely on phone discussions with Chris. He was generous with his time and forthcoming and timely with all information. He disclosed everything I needed to know about, and communicated wonderfully through the process. The car had sold to someone else but Chris called me when it didnt complete. Chris took time on a day off to make sure the car got on transport, and the car arrived in even better condition than advertised. I could not have had a better experience with Barnaba. Ron is very patient on the phone and happily answered all my questions on the 997 that caught my eye. After talking with Ron and reading about his company, I trusted the car was clean, and in good condition, so I bought the car site-unseen, which I had never done before.It took a few days to organize financing, and Ron was accommodating during the process. I then flew to Chicago to meet Ron and take delivery of the car. Upon arrival, I was extremely pleased. The car was well cared for and precisely as described in the listing.Later on, I needed to replace the serpentine belt. Ron was very helpful during the replacement and recommended a shop near me that I could trust. If you own a Porsche, dont even hesitate to give Barnaba Autosport a shot to prove to you perfection. This is exactly how servicing your Porsche should be!!! I made the initial mistake of taking my 997.2 Targa 4 to what I thought was a reputable shop called Olsen Motorsports located in Downers Grove (GOD AWFUL ESTABLISHMENT). I brought my car in for just an inspection with 0 codes. After a long wait time and many promises along with a unreasonable diagnostic fee of $600 I went to collect my car at Olsen Motorsports. As soon as I sat in my car, the dash was lit up like a christmas tree and the way the car drove was beyond clunky. I was beyond disappointed that Olsen Motorsports had the audacity to charge me $600 to return my car to me with more issues than I initially had before even bringing the car to them. Olsen Motorsports informed me that I needed to replace my entire PDK transmission for $15K (Beyond Disrespectful) After hearing about Barnaba Autosport through a referral of mine, I was immediately in great hands after speaking with Mark at Barnaba. Ive been through numerous shops due to lack of communication and no one compares fractionally to the amount of attention to detail and the great amount of communication Mark establishes with you from the very start. I was reassured that my 911 was finally at the right place. Ron and Mark truly treats every single car that comes into Barnaba as if it were their very own. Beyond blessed to have finally discovered my permanent Porsche service center. People called Walter Payton Sweetness. Well, theyve never driven a Cayman S, especially one that has been given a TLC treatment at Barnabas. Ok, kinda sappy. But the thing is these guys are great. They know Porsches inside and out, theyre courteous, theyre timely, and when your car coms out of their shop, its ready to run the twisties. Theyve got my business as long as I can get my 70+ year old body in and out of my P-cars.

I bought a used consignment vehicle from Barnaba, and the experience couldnt have been better. I was looking to get a private party Porsche and needed someone to perform and inspection. My current Porsche dealer wouldn’t perform an inspection and referred me to Barnaba. I was unsure of the reliability of my 2001 Boxster S because of its Intermediate shaft bearing. Frankly the reliability uncertainty limitedmy travel to the Midwest. I researched the expense of having thebearing replaced and engine completely made right. Logistics for getting this done would be complicated and quotes were quite high.Fortunately I asked for a local referral and was referred to Barnaba.I met Mark Greco, he listened to my concerns, and scheduled a Porschetech to pull the trans to gain access to the ISB. It was badly wornto the point of failure. I was able to inspect the bearing and talk withthe technician who would service my car. He answered my questions.Marks approach to the problem was perfect. He worked up a plan including a new short block, sourced from Germany, refurbishingthe heads locally. The price was less than what I had been quoted to refurbish my engine. Mark Greco and Ron Barnaba are proven experts. Rons victories at Daytona and Mark and Rons experience at Napleton Porsche make them uniquely qualified to optimize your Porsche regardless of model. My 911 991.1 C4S was just fitted with a Valve Centered Bypass manufactured by FVD Brombacher. It produces a screaming GT3-like sound at high RPMs, but a very tame and masculine rumble with little to no drone at lower RPMs. Fantastic! I cant stop driving the car just to hear that naturally aspirated symphony. Mark also recommended an upgrade in tuning using Softronics 991 DFI CARRERA PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE. Along with the valved center bypass, my 911 has seen a 10% increase in HP and torque from the base numbers. It hasnt been on a dyno, but I CAN FEEL IT! It is truly a transformation for this non-turbo 911 991.1 C4S. I will never sell this car. It is too much fun to drive and that sound! Amazing! Thanks gentleman. Youve made my car that much more enjoyable!

I was referred to Barnaba from a fellow Porsche owner. Best referral ever! The 2-year service for my 2019 Carrera T was quick and less costly than going to a dealer. The visit resulted in an oil change and multipoint inspection that exposed some beat up rear tires which they personally showed me while the car was still in the air. What a great visit! Quick, transparent & engaging with reasonable pricing - not an everyday occurrence. I quickly trusted Barnaba as they delivered on their reputation. Since I already had a second visit scheduled for the new tires, I had Mark and his team flush my brakes with RBF and install a performance tune for my engine. WOW! The explosive torque and horsepower has made me a little afraid to take one hand off the wheel. She gets angry fast! I recently purchased a 2008 911 4S from Ron Barnaba over the phone, sight unseen, during an out of town work event in Seattle. I am not the kind of guy that does something like that. Yet, the way Ron represented himself and his business, as well as character of his response to my inquiries led me to believe that he and his Porsche only business could be the “real deal”. It took me a couple of weeks to be able to fly to Chicago and actually see and take delivery of the car. It was exactly as described....a unicorn in terms of history, equipment, condition and mileage. Meeting Ron and seeing his shop with the kind of Porsches he was selling and the resources he has to properly inspect and prepare them confirmed to me that he and his business are in fact the “real deal”.This was highlighted when an unexpected issue arose with the installation of a new audio/GPS head unit and amplifier by a shop Ron suggested. During the installation, it was discovered that the previous owner had removed some of the speakers from the car. Ron simply covered the cost to have a set of good quality speakers installed at his expense. This kind of authentic commitment to delivering the car “right” to a first time customer like myself is unusual in my experience. I will likely trade up to a 911 turbo in a couple of years and when I do so, I will just call Ron because I have come to trust his integrity and expertise. Great personal experience with Mark Greco in service for my 20k scheduled maintenance on 2019 Cayenne. Mark reviewed the future maintenance course including tire change, etc Seems like an honest and trustworthy service manager. Additionally, he went above and beyond to remove stains on the hood with his body shop colleague at Batavia Body Werx. They performed the removal themselves instead of having their porter do it. The entire staff was polite and professional.

I took my Cayman S to Barnaba after another shop local to me gave up on fixing the problem. Barnaba is 30 miles from my home, but a lot of people recommend them for Porsche repair. The group at Barnaba dove in to understand the root cause of the issue. While it took a while (this was a very complex problem) my car is now repaired and running great. Their communication with me was excellent, and they weighed several approaches with me as they identified their strategy. Im very happy with Barnaba and will be back in the future.

Barnaba is my go-to Porsche repair and restoration shop. They have restored my 73 911 T to perfect mechanical condition and maintain my 05 911 C2S to a high standard. I had wanted a 911 since I was 17 and read about the new 993 Carreras being released. I recently decided it was time to get serious and I had a short list of the years, colors and features I wanted. I was looking nationwide. I was so pleased when I realized Rons shop was a short distance from my home.He took a great deal of time talking me through how to consider a purchase like this. He had a couple of cars that would have fit me, but what sealed the deal for me was when we went out for a ride in the one I had deemed my favorite. I am based in New Jersey and needed a Porsche shop to conduct a Pre Purchase Inspection on a 2011 911 that I was interested in, The car was available on a Chicago area dealers lot and I was not going to buy it without a thorough inspection. Good rec...Mark was responsive, fair in his pricing and knowledgeable about the entire process and my needs. Kudos to Mark and to Barnaba. The inspection revealed some issues but nothing that couldnt be dealt with. Recommended shop.

This review is to commend the people at Barnaba Autosport for their exceptional professionalism and honesty in evaluating a car prior to purchase, and taking care of work needed after the purchase.Mark Greco especially I recommend because of his sincere desire to be of assistance without sugar coating any faults or problems a vehicle may have. Purchasing a car in not an inexpensive proposition, and mistakes can be costly to correct. With a pre purchase inspection in hand it is very calming in purchasing a used vehicle to know what problems if any a car may have that a buyer or even a seller cannot see or even know about. They were of assistance every step of the repair process and offered opinions of what was necessary at this time and what could wait. I personally feel if you are purchasing a car that is used you should spend the money and have Barnaba Autosport inspect it prior to purchase. If you dont you only have yourself to blame when problems arise after purchase. If it were not so far from where I live I would have them service it.

Recommended to me by a PCA friend, my experience with this shop was excellent. They are very knowledgeable about the older cars and the unique challenges that come with them. The offer honest repairs and maintenance, and while Porsche work will never be cheap, they are far (FAR) less expensive than going to the dealer.

I brought my 2013 911 C2S Cabriolet to Barnaba Autosport for a motor mount replacement. My work schedule is very challenging, and Mark Greco made the process very convenient and pain free. He worked with me to get the car dropped off, repaired expeditiously, and even handled all of the warranty submission paperwork. During the process, Mark kept me well apprised with email updates.After my repair at Barnaba, I had to take the car to a local Porsche franchise dealer for some recall work (one of the few things the shop at Barnaba does not handle). It seems that the dealer left a harness disconnected and some electrical issues popped up. I reached out to Mark at Barnaba, and he got me in right away (despite not being the one who caused the initial problem) and resolved the concern quickly.The team at Barnaba Autosport has been very responsive and trustworthy throughout my dealings with them. They look to build real relationships with clients. I definitely recommend them both for purchase of a used Porsche as well as service.

A PCA member pointed me to BarnabaAutosport when I asked for a Porsche specialist to mend a Boxster S with a failed IMS bearing. Mark provided a detailed cost estimate for a short block replacement and stuck to it. Any additional work was detailed and agreed to in advance. Communication was prompt and friendly. We are about 4-1/2 hours from their shop but it was well worth the drive. The added benefit of the distance was 4-1/2 hours driving this wonderful Porsche.

Mark Greco deserves an award for his professionalism, craftsmanship, knowledge of the Porsche industry, and his attunement to customer service. I would also like to commend the Barnaba staff and sub-contractors that work with Mark and Barnaba Autosport for their professionalism and craftsmanship. I live in southern Florida and could have taken my 996 Porsche to many shops in-between the 1,373 miles. However, after purchasing my car from Nuccio Auto group, following Bill Nuccios recommendation and reading countless threads on making sure your car is serviced by a knowledgeable and reputable Porsche service center, I decided to have my 996 shipped to Mark from Boca Raton to Batavia for a complete M96 rebuild.I have not personally had the opportunity to meet Mark although I feel like we have known each other for years. Prior to Mark taking delivery of my 2003 911, we spoke extensively about the project. This helped set up expectations and a timeline for the project even though the rebuild presented some unanticipated readjustments to the timeline and project scope. Mark was prompt on communication and exploring every possible option we could to move the project forward. In addition to the motor rebuild performed by Mark and the team. They were commissioned to gain as much horsepower/torque out of the naturally aspired M96 as humanly possible. As a bonus, the 911 now benefits from a FVD Brombacher Race Muffler w/ custom software upgrade, custom bronze Porsche Stripes, Bronze Powder Coated Wheels with black center caps and lugs, and the Porsche PCCM+ system. Mark was also kind enough to send me pictures along the journey so I felt as if I was part of the experience.Although, I am writing this prior to taking delivery of my reimagined, by Mark Greco, Porsche 911/996.2. I will plan on a follow-up review once delivered and I have had the full Porsche driving experience. Long story short, if you are in need of service, sales or complete custom reimagined Porsche Mark at Barnaba and his team should be your go-to shop. I highly recommend doing your research when it comes to your own Porsche journey and make sure it begins at Barnaba Autosport.

I took my recently bought 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S to Barnaba Autosport for a scheduled maintenance and to fix a transmission leak. As soon as I got to the place Mark greeted me with a smile. Mark clarified every doubt I had about what in my car needed fixing and what maintenance services the car needed at that moment. Mark was super transparent in terms of telling me what was wrong with my car and he would support that with pictures. The people at Barnaba Autosport are experts in the Porsche cars and they know them like the palm of their hands. They provide an excellent service at a reasonable price. If your Porsche needs to be serviced or needs fixing, Barnaba Autosport is the place to go. I would give 10 stars if that was an option.

You wont find better service and recommendations for your Porsche than the experts at Barnaba. I wish I had them look at my 996 Turbo before I purchased it. They rectified the errors others had made and have the car performing as it was designed.

A couple of years back I bought this beautiful 1987 Carrera Cabriolet from Ron. Ron helped pick out the perfect car after looking at quite a few of them. The car fit our budget and what we are using it for. Ron made the whole experience fantastic. Ron has always made himself available when I have questions with our car.This spring I ran into a starting gremlin on the 87 Carrera. Ron, Mark and the whole Barnaba team went well beyond what any regular mechanic would do. They stuck with it until they figured it out, and it has been a joy when we can get it out for a drive a couple of times a week.+Just the other day I saw 2014 Panamera, that I thought might make a good daily driver. After looking at it I told the dealer, I cant make a move until I contact Ron Barnaba and get his input. I emailed a link for the car to Ron. Ron responded on the same day with his recommendation. Unfortunately, it wasnt the right car for us. If the deal looks to good to be true, it probably isnt that good of a deal. When it is time to add or make a Porsche change at home. Barnaba completed a pre-purchase inspection for me as I was considering purchasing a 911 out of state. Mark took care of me every step of the way from discussing what would be covered, a detailed walk through of their findings and to continued support as I mapped out transporting the car. Being new to the Fox Valley area, I really wasnt sure how I was going to find a reputable service facility to have some minor work performed on my 2004 911. All the big dealerships were in my previous home area of Clarendon Hills. After finding Barnaba Autosport in Batavia and now living in Geneva I decided to check them out. Upon meeting Mark Greco, I found an instant connection! Mark is everything you would ever want in not only a service facility director, but he is over the top in Customer Service!! His knowledge and passion for the Porsche history and product was infectious! Even before he knew what I was there for, it could have been a simple oil change, he wanted to make me feel comfortable as he spent at least an hour with me showing me around their facility. As it turned out, I was there for only an oil change and a power window repair.That did not make any difference to Mark. Hi had Barnaba Autosport do a PPI for me and am I ever glad I did! They are super thorough and know what they are doing. Fantastic experience! Purchased a 993 Cabriolet over the phone. Ron was great to work with from giving a detailed description to a thorough review of its history. Above and beyond!!I had just purchased a 99 Porsche Boxster that had been sitting awhile and was new to Porsche. I took it to Mark at Barnaba for a tune up and inspection. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through everything he found. After addressing a few issues and getting it back home I had some other/different issues arise. He was quick to come get car and get it taken care of!! While he had it I also had him update the stereo that works and looks great and now she’s running like a champ!! Scary to buy a car over the internet....without seeing it and inspecting it in person, but Ron really gained my confidence with honest/straightforward answers and quick responses to my questions. The 1995 993 Cab I bought from him was as-advertised when I showed up to pick it up. Its BEAUTIFUL with only 31K miles! Drove it 1300 miles back to New Mexico with NO issues whatsoever. Great guys to do business with!

I have known Mark since 2009 and he is the most trustworthy car specialist I have come across. Honest guy and high quality work. I appreciate this business relationship very much.I have serviced multiple Porsche models with him, regardless of model or price I would service anything with Mark and Barnaba.Addition in January 2021- as usual Marks work is stupendous. I had sport suspension installed on a 991.2 and the car has been transformed. Alignment, handling, turn in, ride height, and chassis response is what it should have been from the beginning. Barnaba did an excellent job. Mark is the best Porsche expert I have met- his quotes and work are always spot on. I look forward to more upgrades in the future.

These guys are the best in the business. Had them do a PPI for me on a used Porsche and they go through the car with a fine tooth comb. Everything that I was looking for was met, plus at least 100 other things. I have worked with Porsche dealers in the past and they don’t even come close to what Barnaba does. Do yourself a favor if you’re in the Chicago area, this is the only place to go for Porsche related service or advice. All day 5 stars.

I never shook off the Porsche bug after owning a 924 and 944 back in the 1980s. I started looking at several private party 911s and found some nice ones! But, I didnt have the confidence (or knowledge of vintage 911s) to close the deal. So I found Barnaba Auto Sport online and did an unscheduled visit. I was immediately impressed with Mark and the Barnaba shop! Ron even stopped working on an old vintage restoration to introduce himself and show me around. I wanted a good (sound & dependable) classic 911 Cabriolet. Unfortunately..... I had to choose between two beautiful 993s on the floor. I drove off with the 97! Now Im stalking Rons inventory for my next car. Weve all got a lot of options.....private party, dealer or boutique/specialist like Barnabas. Im sure I made the right decision with BAS.

I will start by saying that I took my Macan Turbo to an actual Porsche dealership to have my LED headlights coded. After weeks of getting the run around I decided to search elsewhere and came across Baenaba Autosport. Mark, and his crew went above and beyond to help address the coding issues that the Porsche dealership cannot figure out.I could not be happier with the results, and their professionalism. This past weekend I purchased my first Porsche from Ron Barnaba. What a great experience! Ron was always responsive. If I didnt get him on the phone he would call me back right away and he would respond to emails very quickly. He sent me additional pictures of the car when requested. Satisfied Customer! Working with Ron was easy and painless, I felt that the communication was honest and forthcoming. When I received my car out of the transport truck, I could’nt believe my eyes, the car was even cleaner than I thought. The vehicle has exceeded my expectations and Ron’s description of the vehicle true and accurate. It really was impeccable inside/out and in fantastic mechanical condition.

Had a PPI done by Barnaba Autosport for Porsche Panamera GTS I was looking to purchase. As an out of state buyer I was counting on them to be my eyes and hands on counterpart. All I can say is that Mark Greco went above and beyond with his comprehensive report from the pictures to the paint depth testing on the paint. I have looked a couple different cars in my search and have had Porsche dealers conduct the same inspection with not near;y the detail or amount of time invested in it at almost double the price. After my first email exchange with Ron which led to a follow-up phone call, I knew there was something different about his style and approach which immediately told me this is the place where I want to buy my car. What I like best about Barnaba Autosport is there are no pressure salespeople worried about quotas, there are no fast talking sales managers – you talk with Ron (owner) and Mark (service director) and they will let you take your time to make your decision - but don’t take too long, their cars do go fast!Even though I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, anytime I call to discuss a car in inventory or another car I’ve seen online, Ron and Mark are happy to discuss the specifics and share their perspective. I’m never disappointed when I call Barnaba Autosport, if it’s to get information on tires or paint protection films, Mark spends the necessary time to educate you on the products and explain the pros and cons of your options. I had some work performed on my Boxster that was pleased with, after the work was completed we had a new issue arise. Barnaba came out immediately and troubleshot the car and determined that it was something that they could not field diagnose. They took the car back to the shop and after lots of different troubleshooting finally determined the problem was a basically a piece of garbage that had gotten into the air intake and would block the oxygen sensor with no rhyme or reason causing the car to stall. They took care of it and after much time and effort on their part very graciously fixed the problem and sent me on my way. I will recommend them to anyone who needs Porsche service and will gladly use them again.
