A great shop. They have a lot of knowledge about bikes. They will make adjustments until you’re comfortable in the saddle and test the bike as long as you want to. Very friendly, good prices and quick service.

I live in Colorado but was in Yorkville visiting family. I brought my 13 yr old bike in for brake repair and a tune up. It was ready in 4 days and the cost was very reasonable. Im so pleased with the quality of the work and the professional service. Ive already recommended Prairie Path Cycles to everyone I can!

Incredibly inconsistent service. Purchased 1 bike in February and ordered 2 more on the same day for pickup in May. Was promised that the store would kit them out with accessories for free since we bought so many at once. At pick up, we added another bike for a total of 4...thats over $3,000 worth of bicycles. When we picked up the bike on February the friendly staff included a free kickstand and promised more accessories as he understood we spent good money at one time on the different bikes but wasnt able to give a cash discount due to store policy. Today, we were helped by an employee who refused to honor the stores promise - he even charged extra us for kickstands even after explaining we got the other one for free last time from someone else. Nobody even asked if we wanted the kickstand, he just added to the bill without asking. Cant complain about the other employees at this store who were all incredibly helpful and experienced. The rep made rude comments about our cultural background as well and wouldnt take ownership of the promise the store he worked for makes. Not sure if he is the owner or manager of the store, but if so, there are plenty of other stores around... Dont believe any promise the the store might make for you.Would give a review of 5 stars for the other workers there but based on our experience with the rep, it was enough to bring it down to 1.

When I first walked in I was greeted immediately. I asked a few questions and the staff answered them very quickly. I was able to test ride two bikes I had researched prior to visiting the shop. I would definitely recommend and will revisit again for all my future bike needs.

They were accommodating with getting the bike I was buying ready and outfitted with all of the accessories I was wanting to add for my wife’s birthday. Staff couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful after I had a flat while on a Saturday morning ride with my wife. I was on my way in 20 minutes with a new tire, tube and better prepared with a kit with spare tube for the next time

I purchased my Verve 3 at this store in June 2020. Staff were most helpful in assisting me with adjustments to the bike and recently completed my free tune up service.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience here. Bought my daughters first bike here, and when she took some tumbles and knocked a few things loose learning how to ride, we brought it in and they had us back in service fast enough to keep her momentum and she was riding the same day. So pleased I came back and bought my first new bike here as well to keep up with here.

When I moved to the area I spent a decent amount of time looking for a new bike shop. I stopped in and spent some time talking to Mike F., who took the time to answer a bunch of questions honestly. I never felt like I was being sold on anything, it just felt like I was talking bikes with someone who enjoys riding them. I have since purchased a few bikes from them as well as accessories and have taken multiple bikes to them for service. They have a great staff with a ton of knowledge and I have been more than happy with the service they have provided. They also have a great community of cyclists, which was important to me having just moved into the area. I highly recommend this shop!

PPC is always eager to help - to go out of the way to serve my need derived from questions I have or an accessory I purchased and needs install or from time to time a new bike - no matter how busy they are. They strive to get my bike back into my hands as quickly as possible when getting adjusted, accessorized or tuned - and surpassingly so. They are willing to work with me in a very reasonable fashion on pricing when I’m buying a rather pricey bike. PPC is well run and things are well done! Is a rare circumstance something bits right, it’s rectified quickly. I’m blessed to live nearby and have this as my go-to bike shop.

Great service. They listen to your needs and questions with patience. I was particularly impressed with the level of safety precautions that were taken while serving the customers.

After visiting all the bike shops in the area over the years Prairie Path is the only place I shop. Just purchased my 3rd Trek from them. Prices are the best and they will price match. Customer service is great from adjustments to repairs. Both Mike`s and Liam know how to take care of their customers. Sometimes not even being charged for service or giving discounts on certain products.

We had a problem with a bike making a very loud mystery noise on the Fox River Trail. We stopped at Prairie Path Cycles, the staff (and owner) were super friendly. When we mentioned we were from Homewood (about 40 miles away) they were familiar with our little town and asked about GoodSpeed Cycles (our local shop).They took a look at the bike, disassembled the parts they thought might be causing the problem, put them back together and the noise went away. We were able to finish our ride with no stress.An excellent shop with excellent and friendly service.

I have used Prarie Path Cycles for the past 10 years. The staff had always been helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and just plain nice. I have participated in the winter Boot Camp and found it to be essential to get through the winter and come out in spring ready to go. The problem has been set up by Mike Farrell, former professional racer and team manager. The workouts are progressive over the winter and there is a great group of riders participating. There are all levels of riders and there is an an encouraging atmosphere so you should not be intimidated.

The shop made it very easy to purchase my FX 3 Disc over the phone and pick it up. At the store, they were super helpful with fitting and even went over my warranty. Excited to visit again!

Great local shop with a fantastic selection of bikes. Mike and his staff are always willing to discuss your needs and help find the bike that fits those needs the best. Ive utilized other shops in the area in the past but now go to Prairie Path Cycles for all my new bike purchases and service. The people here really do the extra mile to make sure your happy. It nice to have such a great shop to supply the cycling community of the area.

I ordered two bike on their website, then called the day before to confirm they had both in store. I got there and they said they only had one bike even though they charge me for both. Then lied and said they didn’t charge my card. Then lied and said they need my card again to change the order, then once I told them I didn’t bring that card they magically figured out a way to do it without the card and refund the 2nd bike. Didn’t help me load the bike into my car. Didn’t offer anything for me driving from Madison, WI for a bike they told me was in stock. Took them an hour to see if the other location had one in stock. Just a horrible experience. Then started talking about the bike shortage, I know there’s a bike shortage that’s why I paid you for both bikes and drove 4 hours to get it.

Brought my 13 year old mountain bike with a shifter problem. Parts for bikes that old are a nightmare to find. They found them and fix the old girl.Thanks a million.

Wanted to test a bike I was interested in and was lent one for a few days to properly test it. Not just the usual soon around the block try. Subsequently bought one. Their service has been excellent. Very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending local rides and routes.

Had a miserable experience at the winfield location but these guys were the absolute best. The winfield location is 1 mile from my house. This location is 25 minutes from my house, but Ill definitely be bringing my business here from now on

The employees were assisting customers outside, wearing masks and working very hard. They were all super frirendly and accommodating.

Went to the Batavia store, my sons bike with another flat tire, my questions were about a tire blemish that may have been causing it or possibly a spoke that they had replaced. They took the wheel and tire inside to look at it, brought it back out with the spoke replaced the wheel straightened new inner tube and new tire, no charge. The Trek that I bought about 7 years ago from this shop developed a clunking noise. I thought that Id be dropping it off for repair. Instead, the owner came out, rode the bike around the lot a few times, then took it back to his shop. 15 minutes later, my bike was fixed and he hardly charged me a thing.

Super personable staff, informative, and efficient. The staff seems to know their customers well. They could have sold me on a more expensive service package but didn’t and after they repaired my sons bike, he took time to explain the work done and how my son can best maintain the bike. I’ll definitely go back!

The staff I talked to was condescending and rude to me when I asked if they sold a part I needed for my bike. As if it was stupid of me to assume a bike shop would sell parts too and not just pre-built bikes. I instead recommend all spoked up down the street. Very friendly people with a good selection of bikes and parts over there.

Ive been a customer of Prairie Path for several years. They have a great staff and keep the family fleet of bikes rolling!

Made my third visit to this shop today - close to closing time. I stopped in because I thought I needed new clipless MTB pedals - I got new biking shoes and tried to transfer the cleats from my old shoes; successfully got one done but a hex screw in the other was stripped. Because the set was so old I assumed I needed to get new ones. Despite being close to closing time, one of the guys, possibly the owner, took the time to ask me some questions, took a look at my current bike pedals and shoes and determined I only needed one cleat, he had a spare in the shop that he not only gave me but put on the shoe for me! We tried it out and it worked! My other two visits to this shop were for a bike tune up and to buy a chain/lock - positive visits all three times.

1) My 14 year old son, who is new to riding, asked for grease for his bike. He was then mocked by the young service guy for not knowing to ask for bike lube.2) I came into and left the store separately so the 2 employees didnt know I was together with my son. After my son left the store the employees then made fun of him for the clothes he was wearing.I have interacted with ALL of the bike shops on the fox river trail. This is the worse one. Please see my review for the Winfield store. More of the same.
