I love the 99cent store but my experience yesterday was horrible. I friendly asked a worker if she knew where aisle 5 was and with an attitude she told me to look at the roof. Then proceeded to go to the other coworkers and talk bad about me. And they looked and laughed at me. If you don’t like your job you shouldn’t be working in customer service. I felt disrespected and embarrassed.

There were no shopping carts for the two people in front of me or myself as I first got up. Had to walk back to the parking lot to get one myself to start. Store was scattered inventory along with only two cashiers open with 5 to 8 people waiting before me. Cashier was the most pleasant of the experience. She was was courteous and professional to bagging was quick and considerate without simply tossing products randomly in.

I love browsing through the 99 cent store discovering little treasures. The store was neat and tidy...merchandise was not sprawled all over as people come to expect with discount retailers and the staff was polite, professional and knowledgeable...something I value in a retail employee.

I love the 99 cent store and source whenever possible. This Barstow 99 cent store is clean and fully stocked. Great customer service as well. Everyone was smiling and glad to be there. We are on a little vacay and found this gem. Happy Happy Happy

Good stock and prices although not much is 99 cents anymore. Courteous professional employees. Parking lot crawling with freaks. Entire town crawling with freaks.

Super clean and organized. No wait to check out. Could use more price tags though. Would have bought more things if they were labeled.

I love 99, can get anything. And they added clothes, it might not be clothes you are looking for but if you are low on cash and need a pair of shorts, then boom 2$ and when it comes to Halloween!! Omg you can buy masks, get ur Halloween stuff here get Christmas things, any Halliday. They have snacks fruits veggies frozen foods. Glasses. If you need are charger or ear buds, if you need lipstick or nail polish, just come to 99 it’s my favorite:)

Actually...i realized the last visit that i dont prefer 99 cent stores anymore. The thrill of getting something awesome for one dollar is long gone. In my opinion...they really blew it when they started selling stuff for over a dollar. I am 100 percent a dollar tree girl now! I only will go to 99 when absolutly nessesary. Sorry 99 u blew it!

Friendly service lots of good things

The store is overall friendly, polite, and straightforward with the items sold. Finding everyday necessities at a good price if not for the deals that other stores dont provide. One flaw I must point out however is that the store does need a little more of organization with scattered items. Other than that, I recommend you spend your shopping experience here.

Homeless & panhandlers lie on the sidewalk in front of the store. They dont have this problem in Los Angeles.

Store has a good selection and store is fairly clean most of the time . Customers here tend to trash the store when it gets busy and employees tend to be a little unhelpful if not down right rude.

I walked in and the manager put me out no explanation nothing took the food right out my hands

My only concern is the check out. Only 1-2 lines open and a lot of people waiting patiently. Open more lanes when the store is busy...That will earn 5 stars from me. But I love the cashiers they are always friendly and very polite!! Rare in the state of California. Keep up the good work.

This store is the WORST store for an AMERICAN ELDERLY LADY to obtain a job (free from harrasment and discrimination) ALMA the so called manager and her side kick YESENIA tormented and harrased my elderly Mother numerous complaints where made against these two, but Human Resources did nothing about it the torment continued my mothers car was egged, her entire front window smeared police were called NO CAMERA on that side of front parking lot!!! (Yea right) her schedule became a one day a week who does this to an elderly lady trying to survive, now Iam struggling to make my mother feel worth something again...Thanks Allot 99cent store in Barstow Thanks (ALMA) and (YESENIA) you are the Bullies that come to this country and discriminate and harras our American Elderly !!!GET OUT!!!!!!

Some of the employees are down right rude. I asked a stocker the price on a huge bottle of water. There was a smaller version for .99 cents. He goes Idk maaam, I would have to assume its .99 cents and then he rolled his eyes at me. I told him he was rude and he said he was on his break.

👍 👌 😎 $12 and Im set for the week.... Some oatmeal and the Fast Bites burgers are OK for someone on a budget like me... It is what it is... Super friendly service... Not one hint on condescending tones from the staff... Will be back for more! 😂

They treat me like Im stealing because I called the police on THEM after they required me to place my bags up front upon entering then they allowed another customer to take my belongings

It has a lot of 99 cent products there and theyre great if you need something quick. Other than that, they have other products that arent 99 cents. In all, its a quick and go service if you know what to look for.

They have changed things around and currently have Halloween items out. This is a great place to go when you need a little of something and dont want to spend or have a lot to spend. I needed creamer for my coffee just to make it to payday so. I didnt need a lot just enough to get me through the week.

Didnt have what 8cwas looking for but most of the ones dont have it right now.

Great store actually no complaints about the employees or the inside of the store. Well stocked and clean. Just always some knuckleheads and panhandlers outside of the entrance.

The store is called. 99¢. Only but they have stuff up to $3.99 to $5.99. They have a real good produce section and always have Holliday items early. Very. busy. Nice place. for shopping, just dont expect to much brand names..

This store was a mess. They didnt have hardly any frozen food. Maybe it is the time of year of Christmas that shelves are a mess. Seems that since they have gone to over 99 cents they have gone down hill. Go to dollar store if you want good service and clean place

Its a 99 cents store but not everything is 99 cents. The customer service is always nice and friendly; however some of the customers are 99 cents attitude/behavior. But you can always ignore them.

Finally hiring more people which makes the store more clean and check out not as bad. I feel like they need a security guard for all the kids that go in and steal and keep the people asking for money away From the entrance.

The 99 has changed most of its prices to $1.99-5.99. the one across the street is still only 99 its called the $ store, unfortunately they dont have bread, or milk, good store though...*****

This 99cents only store was very clean and I took notice of the section where the fruit and vegetables were and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no rotting items and no flying insects around.

The only bad thing about the 99cent store is that the sign statres noting over 99 cents. This is not true so because the sign lies I will give it a lower rating.. I just found out yeaterday that the peaches and plumbs are sold by the pound. I have been buying them for quite some time now thinking they were $1 per pkg. They are refrigerated without being marked. My opinion is that they need to change their name. On the other hand the dollar tree is truthful and everything in their store is $1

Our Barstow 99 Cents Only Store has limited produce, frozen foods, & other groceries.Only place I know of in Bstow to get Samosas, 6/99 cents frozen (albeit sans good dipping sauce.)

Typical 99 cent store. Also has produce, frozen food and other food items. Not all items are 99 cents. Most are but prices range from 99 cents up to around 4.99 for some things. Store was kind of messy and alot of homeless people were gathered outside.
