I call this special place every couple of days because I like the special air that is outline this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably friendly and professional. The service is certainly efficient. Not to mention, the food you eat is good. I frequent often and I was always happy. The cost is decent. I highly suggest this place to to everybody.

Friendly and quick. The Southwest salad I got was fresh and was served in an extra large metal bowl. Enough to share for 2.

Added 4/30: came back again and its still so slow! Theyre trying to manage catering pickups while 3 to 4 people wait for their food from ordering in. They really just need another person behind the counter to process orders I feel. One worker was maybe new too so there was only one food prep person.Food is excellent!! Love their pickles. I had a turkey kale wrap and subbed the vinegar. So good. The chips are just ok. Id prefer something crunchier like a kettle chips. These just taste like cheap Lays.Now the reason for not a 5 start review is the service does not excel in the speed department.i waited to place my order 5 minutes then maybe another 10 to 15 for my food. In the meantime others were asking to change their orders to go for this reason. Appears that if they are going to package catering orders, they need more staff in place so they can handle in house orders at the same time.Only one more suggestion... More non chicken menu items. Personal preference as I dont like chicken. It dominated the menu and both soups were chicken.

Really delicious salads, served by two lovely ladies who are sweet and friendly but are seriously overtaxed. They are unable to keep up with the lunchtime crowds and I saw many people come in and then leave after waiting for 10 minutes or so. This place needs more staff.

Lots of greens for your green! (Get it? :/) I ordered a small sized chopped salad. It was fairly priced and was filling. Nice restaurant and good service. For being a healthy restaurant, it could use some more alternatives to fountain drinks in my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be back.

Ordered delivery. The lettuce was fairly fresh, but nothing great. The order wasnt correct, they left the chicken off the salad. If you are into mostly leaves then youd probably like this place, but the toppings and other portions are similar to other fast food.

This place may not look like much from the outside, but the food is amazing. Quite possibly the best Chicken Caesar salad. Wraps are also the bomb. Kinda pricey, but hey, you definitely get what you pay for here.

This is by far one of my favorite sandwich/salad places to go to. The food is outstanding, and the staff is VERY friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you are fully satisfied. Everything I have ever had there is fresh and outstanding. I have had a few events catered from Savory and everyone has raved over the food. We will definitely continue to go here....and cannot wait for Arlington to open! Oh and PS.....their homemade Ranch Dressing is to DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!! (along with their daily homemade soups, cookies and last but not least their CRACK BROWNIES! :)

Savory is my favorite salad/sandwich place, and the best part is that its a local business! The prices, food, and portions are all great. Theres a nice variety of options for lunch or dinner, including gluten free options! The online ordering is great if youre in a hurry and need to skip the line.

I love Savory Salads!!! Excellent service! Not to mention you wont be disappointed with anything from their menu! There are times I cant decided because everything is so good there!!! My all time favorite is their Chicken Caesar wrap!!! :)

I ordered from this restaurant and items were missing. I’ve tried several times to call the restaurant during business hours and I am never able to get through to anyone. The phone just rings and rings. I won’t be coming here any more. Customer service clearly is not a priority. How do they expect customers to get a hold of them when they don’t even answer?

I absolutely LOVE Savory Salads. I stop here every time Im in town and have always been blown away by how delicious everything is! My favorite is the turkey spinach panini, but I also really enjoy the meat lovers and the chopped salad. In the winter I usually pair my sandwich or salad with their homemade soup- also excellent. The portions are very generous, so I never seem to have room for dessert, but I always get a cookie to take home for later. Wonderful food, excellent service…this place is a GEM! Highly recommend.

MORE THAN JUST SALADS!!!! I love the homemade soups! They change each day. I always get the combo - pick 2 - 1/2 soup or 1/2 salad or 1/2 panini. All the salads/sandwiches are fresh and made to order. I love the salads and choosing what I want on it. Kids love the flatbreads but order those ahead on their website online ordering. Oh yeah, and the brownies are killer too. Catering is great too - very reliable and the food is always loved by everyone.

I have nothing bad to say about this place! Amazing service, delicious food, fast service with a smile! My favorite is The roast beef Panini and Greek salad. I also love their flatbreads and the leftovers are amazing even after a few days! The owner Stephanie loves her customers and what she does! It always shows when you come in! The crack brownies are a must have if you love chocolate!!

I love Savory - its a perfect location for meeting my clients in the far northwest burbs, and the sandwiches and coffee are outstanding. Ive never had a problem with service there - staff is always very friendly. Had a prosciutto gouda toastie and a bowl of soup last time I was there. Ill definitely be back.

I would say the food is terrible and it is but it is not the foods fault. The problem is the two lazy employees there at the time I was in. She couldnt even stand up to take our order she was all hunched over over the register mumbling. Should have walked out then. Management if there is such a thing here, you need to train your people on customer service as well as how to make a sandwich.

They have very good food with there homemade dressing and other foods.

Terrible service. Went today for a flatbread. Was told it will be about 10 minutes, no problem. After about 5 minutes, I looked to see how it was going and nothing had been started. Another worker came out of the restroom and went behind the counter, after about a minute he said that they won’t be able to make my flatbread because they were out of an ingredient. I asked if I could have a panini and salad instead. The worker was hesitant and wasn’t sure if he could do that. He then suggested if I just wanted a refund, I said yes and left. The workers didn’t seem very motivated and it felt like they didn’t want to make my food or to do any business. They just lost a sale today and will not be getting my business again.

Very fresh and delicious! Excellent wraps but thats where it ends. (This review is for a visit to the Barrington location next to the Subway Sandwich on a Saturday in February 2018 at 1:00pm) Service was courteous and prompt (no one was being served or in line ahead or behind us at the time). There was no fountain soda pop (given... fountain pop with high fructose corn syrup is not a primary drink of choice for those trying to eat healthy: theres a refrigerator with a glass door where they had soda pop in cans for $1.25 and flavored-bottled water). Plain water was in a pitcher with plastic cups next to the counter. Water was luke-warm room temperature (no ice to be found or no sign offering ice... tho... I did not bother to ask for ice). As we sat in the dining room (which was very nice and clean) a customer came in asking for soup. The customer politely asked why there was not any soup and the person behind the counter replied: We just dont have any. The customer looked at the menu for quite a long time and then finally ordered a salad or wrap to go. Theres nothing worse than when you have your heart set on something specific to only be disappointed when one looks at the Savory Salads website offering soup or brownies. And then, there was the gentleman who was already dining at Savory Salads. As he left the establishment, he asked the person behind the counter if they had any brownies.... the counter person replied No... sorry not today. The gentleman said oh... ok. and proceeded to walk out the door to continue with his Saturday afternoon. Sometimes its the little things that make a big difference. I suspect that the busiest times are during the weekdays during lunchtime (and Saturdays arent high-traffic enough times worth putting in the effort. If I come back, please prove me wrong)

We went to this location around 12:30pm. We were excited to try something new as this was our first time there. We had ordered a salad with chicken and wanted regular. The lady had informed us that they ran out of regular chicken so we chose a different flavor which was fine. Then we proceeded with our order and wanted a flatbread. The lady then informed us that they had ran out of flatbread as well. Said that they had a busy morning----eventhough they had just opened only a few hours prior to us arriving. It is obvious that they have issues with inventory and food prep management. Was not worth our time to go out of the way. Told them to borrow Flatbread from Subway next door, at least they are prepared.

Savory is an excellent gem in the heart of Barrington. The quality exceeds the average of its exceptional price range and service is excellent. Dont let the name fool you, Barrington carnivores. Their soups and sandwiches are absolutely phenomenal, I highly recommend the roast beef pastrami. If you find yourself lost, bewildered, and certainly hungry in the wilds of downtown Barrington, Savory is your oasis.

Dont waste your time coming here. Personally, youre better off getting a salad from Panera for same price and being more satisfied. Love the design of the menu, minus the soups; however, the attitudes of employees, horrible presentation, and difficulty finding the bulk of my meal was an absolute horrible experience that I would never recommend anyone. Sorry to say but this place would best be named Unsavory Salads.

The food is great, the people are friendly, prices are reasonable and it is local. Support this business with your patronage.
