Going out of business, which is probably a blessing to most. Over priced and rude employees. They are advertising things at 50-75% off but have marked up prices by at least 50% on most items. Go to Walmart and you will find the same items way cheaper even after their “75% off”

They are a convenient location, but their staff is few and far between, and the store is a chaotic mess at best. The last 3 times I have gone to this location, they have messed up applying discounts or misscanned coupons, and the last visit I was told that not all sections marked with buy 1 get 1 are actually included, even though the section I was shopping in was not only posted everywhere, but the aisle was the only one with the blue light in it, and it took almost 30 minutes for a manager to correct the issue (They did in the end to a point, but this isnt the first incident like this with this location). I feel at best this location is worth 3 stars, but if they keep up the problems of applying shop your way discounts and misleading sale placements in their stores, it wont stay 3 stars for long.

I absolutely love the Kmart in Barberton! Most all the people that work there are GREAT, a couple, not so much. Besides being helpful (if you need it), they are friendly. I sure hate to see this Kmart close their doors for the last time.

They NEVER answer the phone. I started a Layaway online and went to pay at the store on my first due date which was 12/08/2015. I took a few items off and asked how much needed to be paid on my new total. I was told I could pay whatever I wanted. My receipt didnt show an updated balance, my next due date or payment amount. The cashier was so unhelpful and just told me not to worry about it. I decided to make my next payment online and was having issues. After chatting with a representative on the Kmart website I was told that my Layaway was delinquent...I asked how so when I was just there last week. They then told me I hadnt made a payment and gave me what my total was before I even took items off and made a payment. Keep your receipts people.

I wish they had a few more associates so they werent spread so thin, but they have always been pleasant and helpful. I wish Kmart in general would update their look (its like they havent changed in 30 years). Its clean and organized- just needs so updating. Their prices are pretty good, and sale prices even better. I like that I can walk to this location and that I dont have to go 20 minutes away to slog through the mess, shenanigans, etc at a giant Walmart full of everything I dont want/need.

As a frequent SYW rewards user, I’ve been to a lot of sears and Kmarts. This is an impressive Kmart. Yes, it’s dated, but it’s sears. They’re all dated. However, this Kmart has plenty of variety still in stock, it’s very clean and very organized. You can find good deals here. The bathrooms were spotless. A far cry from the Brunswick Kmart, which has nothing in stock and is a wreck.

Great prices, great service. They have athletic shoes buy one get one for a dollar. They are the only store in the area that has my size in shirts and trousers.

Outdated systems at the cash register, always have problem them. Be careful what you buy. A lot of people have returned to items that are known to have defects on them. Prices of course are higher compared to Walmart. Staff can be friendly or rude. Not much selection on foods either. Not a lot of staff there, waiting for a fitting room will be awhile or hunt them down. Customer Service desk always backed up , will be standing sometimes 30 minutes or more. I like the Kmart in Tallmadge there better than this one.

Its a dying store, regular issues with shoplifting and petty thefts. Seems to be a cop stationed outside for one reason or another. Interaction with staff is hit and miss. There are some employees doing their best to make the experience good, while others are clearly just there strictly to collect a check and go home.

Decent place to find cheap merchandise. I stop in regularly as its close to home and for the most part they do have some good deals on certain things but variety here is lacking. They definitely give the impression they are close to dying off as the electronics sections looks a decade behind the times and there are no self checkout lanes. They also seem understaffed as its rare to see more than two lanes open even when its busy and lines back up. But not a bad place just average.

I loved going here as a kid. The place has went way down hill. This is the only department store in my community so sometimes there is no choice unless I want to drive 10 miles.

Called today only to ask if I could pick up my paid layaway since l was picking up my order l got on the net. I was on hold immediately without asking and for more then 3 times. I dont know why l just could not get an answer before driving out there. Wow Kmart, get some more help and better service, please! I really disappointed with this because l know this Company is working hard to keep stores open. Get more help.

Always under staffed unfortunately. This is difficult when purchasing a heavy appliance or item that is usually located on a top shelf. My other complaint is that merchandise is very often not priced and one has to search for an associate to come over and scan it (particularly the large heavy items mentioned above).

Its great to have a big department store in a smaller town. I can find almost everything I need here. The employees are helpful. They have scooters for handicapped persons. I like the Emma line of clothing, and Tom McCann & Cuddlers shoes. The electronics section is smaller than I would like. Its best to have a kmart curtesy account for specials and proof of receipt.

Horrible! Purchased an item and paid most of it with cash and needed to use my card for the remaining amount. The cashier (who was very vocal about not knowing what to do because it was her third day) never processed the cash and put the whole thing on our card. Then, our receipt did not print. Good thing I checked my bank account before we left and caught the mistake. When we walked back in to the cashier we had to wait half an hour before a supervisor even came over. Once we got to talk to the supervisor she walked away and we had to wait another 20 minutes for our refund. I will never shop here again. Completely understaffed and untrained.

I’ve always loved this Kmart location. It’s never busy and they have awesome Halloween decorations. Only downfall is they don’t price match in the year 2017. I know a lot of Kmarts have been closing and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one go because they won’t match competitors.

Ordered A shirt online and paid for it,I opted for in store pickup at this location. Recieved email item was ready for pickup. When I showed up first they couldnt find the shirt,then it took 3 cashiers and the girl at the customer service desk (who had a really bad attitude) 40 MINUTES !!!! to figure out how to process it into the register. If I hadnt already paid for it I would have certainly walked out. no wonder Kmart is a struggling business, totally inept workers. Good luck to them and anybody else who chooses to shop there.....Im done with Kmart.

The prices are good especially if you shop the sale items. The store is clean. The checkout lines are usually pretty fast.

They need to change the google map to say crappiest place on earth! Terrible customer service skills !! Called them to check to see if they had an item in stock before I drove to the crappiest place on earth! They had me on hold so long I thought you know what Im gonna drive down there I walked in and they make it a habit of putting people on hold instead of actually seeking the item and giving support. When I walked in I saw the kiosk workers lollygagging so I hung up called again they didnt realize I was in front of them on the side isle. I watched them pick up ask what they could help with put me on hold and snickered! Bail money would have been more expensive than the item I needed so I opted to drive to another store instead of confront them at that moment. Ill never go back to the crappiest place on Earth you shouldnt either.

Would leave no stars if I could their customer service is repulsive i’ve spent a lot of money at this location and because lack of respect from employees or care for customers I will never return again

God forbid you use their bathroom after making a purchase....they sent an employee out to write down my liscence plate number and called the police because they assumed i was stealing.. Never spending money in this place again. By the way their restrooms are disgusting.

Hours on Google are wrong. They closed an hour before the doors say, and the employees were rude when we walked in because the doors were still unlocked. The two lady employees at the customer service desk both shouted multiple times that the store was closed like we didnt hear them the first time. Not too happy with Kmart right now.
