They must be about to close the store because the shelves were looking very slim. Others reviewing recently also said the same so not sure whats going on.We went in around noon on a Tuesday very few people in the store. We could not find a single associate to help us find a couple products. Walked up to the register to ask for help where they radioed in someone to meet us in the camera department. We waited and waited. Then we left. - @outdoingstuff

Although I didnt do any shopping here, all shopping that I have done there in the past has always gone flawlessly and they have always had what I needed at a good price. Most of the items I have bought from Best buy over the last 10 to 15 years I still use and still work perfectly fine. The customer service rep even explained why price matching sometimes doesnt work because companies will send the exact same item to different big box stores but change one little thing just so they can change the model number and make it impossible the price match. She tried to help me with deliveries and tracking down one in the state, but unfortunately the laptop I was looking for was not something that they could procure for me. However they were extremely helpful and I highly recommend shopping at the Bangor Best Buy.

I visited this location to speak with the Geek Squad for a laptop issue. The guy that helped me was super friendly and helped the best he could since my issue was more of a time sensitive thing. The only reason for the one less star review is due to the limited stock here. I am sure it is because of the location and maybe they dont need a fully stocked store, but if you are looking for something specific here, there is a good chance they wont have it and it will need to be ordered. But overall, good experience and nice staff.

The employees are fine but the selection is rather stifling. Either spend $60-130 on mediocre high-end gear or go to Amazon for what you are actually looking for. COVID has suffocated their inventory but I read the tags of sold-out items and they confirmed this. Not really sure what the Best Buy value proposition is anymore.

When returning a laptop, the first customer service rep I got to talk to was very kind and helpful, but the manager who she needed help from was rude and impatient with me for no real reason. When I said thank you afterwards and told her to have a good day, she just glared at me and didnt say anything. Im a waitress so I always try to be kind and patient with other customer service workers, but this just wasnt okay.

Best Buy Customer service is a bunch of high school kids that dont know what theyre talking about. They also keep empty display boxes on the Shelf And get annoyed when you ask about the products and why they have the product that is apparently out of stock on display. Also they dont even answer their phone During normal business hours. I understand you guys are tanking as a company but do you have to drag us down with you? A little honesty goes a long way especially with Mainers.

Best Buy is great! Every time I walk in, Im greeted immediately by someone offering assistance. Their customer service is great, theyre just usually lacking a bit in the pc parts section. They still have great stuff, just not much of it.

We ordered a washer and dryer set, I ordered it online because we lived several hours away from our new home. I made the drive to the new house for the delivery the two geek squad delivery people were on time, friendly, professional and courteous entering my home for the installation. They left the area clean and the installation didnt take long and they had everything they needed. They tested both appliances before leaving and updated me everything was all set. Highly recommend their service it was hassle free and so easy.

This is the most infuriating experience I have ever had. You cannot even telephone the store to speak to your contact person without going through somebody in India. Even then they admit they cannot contact the person youre trying to reach. It the store manager is equally useless And actually refused to give me his name when I asked for it. I will never use them again and will recommend the same to every person that I know.

This is a typical size Best Buy. Like most of the chain, you can find cheaper prices elsewhere, but the quality is better here. Sometimes you have to chase down an employee for assistance, but they typically know their stuff.

They were great...20 years ago when they built the building, but customer service has gone down hill. It was like pulling to teeth to just drop off equipment to be shipped to there repair center without an appointment. Im sorry, your not a tech version of a doctor, more like the tech version of McDonalds manager. I dont make an appointment because they put onions on my burger!!! Same thing. I know it had to be sent out. I shouldnt need an appointment for that.

Its best buy. Typically a consistent experience where people are helpful. they have instituted a new system where upon entry if you know that you will need help tell them and they will put you on a wait list for someone to assist you thus providing a controlled environment for social distancing for their associates and customers. Plan ahead for this and your visit will be great.

First time to use the Geek Squad. Went in to try to solve an issue with my Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi box. The guy that helped us “Owen” worked with us for almost an hour. He was not able to get it going. But his time and service was excellent. There was no charge for the service. We wanted to pay a service fee or even a tip to him directly but he would not accept. Company policy he said. I believe there should be some kind of compensation for their time and would be happy to pay it. Here is a good reason. The guy before us using the Geek Squad got up from his chair and went outside for 15 minutes to smoke while everyone was waiting in line to us the service. If that customer was paying for the service he would have not got up to go smoke for 15 minutes or maybe he would. But again Thank You Owen for your assistance!

Never a bad experience at the Bangor Best Buy in the 20+ years we have been shopping here! The staff is always friendly and helpful and they never try to pressure you into a purchase. They were great when we went in this week to purchase a new desktop PC for my husband and they were equally as awesome when I bought my iMac there last year.

This review is specifically for Bethany in cell phones. My husband and I bought new phones, and unfortunately it took 24 hours to activate and transfer files from my old phone to my new one. Bethany was incredibly accommodating and went out of her way to help us. That Saturday she was the only one working that section and had double booked appointments but that didnt affect her lovely personality and good manner.

The folks here are super helpful. I came for a Geek Squad appointment and after consultation decided not to repair and aging iPad. Basically good to have experts to talk through the issues and since the extended warranty had already expired it would cost more to repair than replace. I did spend a lot of time browsing the Apple selection there as well.

Sorry, Best Buy, but you lost a 500$ + sale to Walmart because a sales person in their electronics department greeted me and offered help almost immediately when I arrived after having left BB having no one greet me or make anyone available to help me until I asked. I had to search for sales people and didnt get help for 5 minutes...then I was helped with minimal information on products and left when I made a choice...I had other things to look for and thus spent another 10 minutes looking at TV,s and waited for the one and seemingly only sales person available who was politely letting another customer babble on about tvs like he had nothing else to do. Business will only get slower for you if you dont have the sales staff on the floor at all times and knowing the products you sell! A guy sitting at the little desk next to the doors doesnt cut it.

I ordered a printer online. I was told that I could pick it up at the Bangor location that Friday. On that Saturday I went to Bangor location to find that it hadnt arrived. Ok, no big deal. I got a notification that it arrived a couple days later. Im not always able to run to Bangor. So I was planning on picking it up the following Friday. I get a message that if I dont pick it up by Thursday July 1st they will cancel my order. Ok, so I called the Bangor store - which is not taking phone calls at this time. So the call was redirected to a national line - that hung up on me twice while trying to transfer my call. I just want to know if I can pick my printer on Friday afternoon. Cant get a hold of anyone. SO Ill have to leave work early - lose money - in order to pick up my printer what was suppose to ready for pick up on previous Friday. Yup, not thrilled.

I bought this refrigerator from Best Buy the refrigerator brand is insignia and I had 3 returned all 3 damaged and 2 didn’t work. I bought it in March so I really waited quite a lot and then they just said I can refund you. I wouldn’t recommend this whatsoever. I’d make it 0 stars but the minimum is 1.

Car stereo tech very helpful! (Nick)Update, Nick quit, the fella filling in for him is from the front of the store and did a fine job on my head unit install. It did take a bit longer than expected on my 2018 WRX, but that always happens with this kind of install. He also was very helpful in recommending a tech package from the store...which is going to save me a tone of cash because I have more installs coming, that will be free under this package. Hats off to you large beard installer, hats off.

Was on the phone with BB for 2 hours and was told they can do a MacBook Pro battery replacement. Drove 3 hours, came in and was told they would have to send it out for repair since they do not do ANY I store repairs for ANY apple devices. Complete waste of time and zero help to rectify the situation just shoulder shrugging.

Only one item couldnt be found where it was supposed to be, but the employee I worked with was more than willing to dig deep in the storeroom for me. Tried calling them first to see if they had what we needed but after being on hold for 35 minutes with no one answering the phone, we gave in and drove there. And as usual they didnt have what we wanted. Seems every time we need something they sell, they never have it in stock anymore. Just disappointed.

I was surprised and disappointed by my visit to this store today, having shopped here happily in the past. I came to the store intending to purchase a new laptop, and had already narrowed my choice to 2 models prior to coming to the store. The phone tree did not allow any options to speak to a representative for questions, so I went to the store. Because I am unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, I was told that I may ENTER the store, BROWSE, but could not ask any questions of associates and also would not be allowed to check out my purchase. I was offered no options other than leaving the store and ordering online - not even speaking to an associate from my car on the phone and providing a credit card number over the phone - both of which I would have been willing to do. I contacted the store management and was curtly told this was store policy. What protections are they thinking they offer anyone by allowing shoppers that cannot ask questions or check out? I understand stores setting their own policies but this one is VERY customer unfriendly. I left and went next door to Staples, where I got exceptional service and that is where I will take my business in the future whenever possible. Best Buy just lost a good customer forever. Im very disappointed.

Manager was rude when I went to return an item, she didn’t even greet/or help me figure out where to return items when she was standing at the door. Also, come to find out the cashier put in my email wrong and I never received a receipt. This lead to me returning the item a DAY late for their mistake and only received store credit. Had to sell the gift card and will never return.Who has 15 day returns anyways?

You can find just about anything you want in there. It just took me a while to find it :) they were pretty busy so it was hard to find someone to help me. Once I did, they were really knowledgeable. Im sorry to the employee I offended, I didnt know you were on a break when I asked you for help. I just figured since you were out on the sales floor I could ask for help. No worries though! I found someone else pretty quickly.

I cannot begin to explain how frustrated I am with the phone system at this store. I have tried for weeks to speak to someone at the store about a remote car starter and I have never been able to connect with anyone, no matter what I push for options or say to the auto attendant. I even attempted to use their national call center and chat feature online and they couldnt assist me either. Congratulations Bangor Best Buy, you have successfully made RadioShack look like a top notch electronics store. #shame #electronicclowns

They have a queue you must wait in until they do a full visit with the person in front of you. I had to wait while an elderly man ahead of me had range expanders explained to him. I am not exaggerating when i say i was waiting awhile. They would not let me through while they talked.They are very obtrusive and demand to know what you are there for before letting you in. Just shop online, its faster than waiting 10 min, being ignored while they chit chat in front of you holding up the line. This was a manager.Finally get in, and the section I wanted to look at was being blocked by an assoc chatting with personal friends and refused to move for another 5 min.Will never shop there again.

Truly unbelievable!Two days on a row we have called the store in Bangor. My husband called yesterday and was on hold for over 45 minutes. He finally had to hang up. I tried today and I was on hold an hour and 15 minutes ( just to talk to someone at the store in Bangor). When finally someone came in, and as soon as I started asking how to proceed with the issue at hand, they hung up on me! I have no words to express what a terrible customer service this store gives. Unacceptable!

Was helped today by a new or newer employee didnt have his shirt yet but Sander was I believe his name, after 20mins of waiting for help in the DVD player department where no one acknowledged me I wondered the store when the new employee approached and asked if I needed help. He was knowledgeable about every question I asked came across as confident, ended up buying a sound bar as well as a blu ray, checked me out and loaded it in the vehicle excellent customer service today!

I would like to compliment the associates for being so professional and kind during this difficult time. Curb-side pickup was a breeze. The pick up line is clearly marked and the wait time is pretty short. I wish I caught the name of the guy who brought my order to the car. It was minimal contact! Just opened my back window and he popped it in. Keep up the great work!!
