Super neat Indian, Bali, and Indonesian style items. Even if your are not interested in buying anything from stamps, beads, womens clothing, and home decor, just stop in as the store is well decorated, colorful, and inviting. Staff are super friendly and I heard the owner make trips to various locations 2 times a year to stock the store. Prices seem fair. Its best to get items on sale. Your purchase gets wrapped in sari fabric and a handcrafted local newspaper bag.

Such a beautiful shop with unique gifts from around the world. I’ve found such amazing handmade items here. Gifts, jewelry, clothes, housewares, etc. it always smells nice, the staff is full of sweet women who provide excellent customer service. Very fair pricing (if you are uneducated about fair trade and the quality of craftsmanship, you may find some items overpriced. But I can assure you the price is fair.) Even their recycled newspaper bags are adorable. Oooh and their recycled fabric cinch bags. I love them. This store is always a must when I’m in the area.

This is a wonderful shop with unique international goods. I have received a few lovely items as gifts, including a beautiful kantha quilted jacket. Unfortunately the one I was given didnt fit properly, but I was able to walk in and just exchange it for one that fit better, a painless transaction that was much appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.

I went to this store for the first time over the weekend. I cant believe I had never been there. It was so incredible, and the staff was so pleasant. I cant wait to shop here again and again.

Small cozy zen shop. Jammed packed with little nick knacks. Not a shop around thats quite like this one. Lots of Buddhas and patterned accessories. Everything in the store is for sale.

Just had a bad experience with them today. My elderly husband kindly bought me a well-meaning gift of jewelry today. Im very allergic to the metal used. I returned it within an hour of purchase and they refused to refund the cost - over $100. So much for this months social security check. They kept insisting there was store credit only. Wow, I will advise my family never to stop there again, especially for gifts for others.Expensive donation to the store and frankly very poor customer service by the clerks. I will be posting this to the neighborhood listserves also.

This store is magical because it is curated to overwhelm the senses. So many beautiful things from far away places, its always a pleasure to visit, and the place to go when I need to buy a gift.

An absolute must if your on the Avenue in Hampden!! The store is small but big in flavor. I could literally spend hours looking at the eclectic assortment of fun and funky merchandise. This is a one stop holiday shop for all the ladies on my list and even a few dudes. Staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. Even the way they bag your purchase is a gift in and of itself. Deja vu all over again. This past Friday, I had the same experience I had some time ago with Caravanserai. Before, I wanted to buy a $200 bedspread but wanted to be sure it fit. So I wanted to take it home and be able to return (next day) it if it didnt work. Clerk told me no stinking returns, store credit only. So I wrote a negative review and the owner responded: ”Of course you can return it yada, yada, yada. So I took it home with the assurance I could return it (clerk not happy she was thrown under the bus). It fit, happy ending. This past Friday, I was shopping for a present for my wife for our anniversary. I saw a light weight bath robe (@ $50) and figured she would like it ok, but also a $105 or so light jacket that I really liked and she might like also, BUT #1 she may not like it and #2 it may not fit (there was only one and only one size). Soooooo, I said to the clerk, I would like to take both but be able to return one of them if it doesn’t work. “NO STINKING RETURNS- STORE CREDIT ONLY” Surely if I explain my previous experience and the owners assurances, that would suffice. Nope. No returns (the clerk was very polite but resolute). “Policy applied equally to all, no exceptions, we are a small store” (whatever that has to do with anything). Soooo, I read as if we get your money, you’re not getting back- you’re money is more important to us than you satisfaction. I really don’t understand the lose, lose mentality but alas, a satisfactory ending; I have my money and they have their stinking merchandise. 😊 Yours truly, a satisfied non-customer.
