Amazing service. I called to ask if they had the product I needed the gentleman on the phone was very kind. Waited less than 2 minutes for him to come back to the phone. When I got to the store the young lady at the counter was wonderful! Clean store, great prices and kind staff. Best trip Ive ever made to a hardware store. Ace was so great I have no reason to go to get lost in another big hardware store ever again.

I needed to replace the bolts on my bike from my previous purchase at this location (those sales people were much nicer) I show the sales person what Im looking for & he starts making excuses why he cant help me.Then he just walks away saying he doesnt have time theyre about to close.I look at my phone & its not even 7:30.Update: I went back today, lucky for me Jerry was there.That man is beyond awesome.He not only remembered exactly what I needed, but remembered the details of why I need it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Every time I walk in, Im greeted and asked if I need help finding something.And if you ask for help, theyre actually glad to help you. Not like a lot of places that ask and then act annoyed that you need help.Theyre always willing to point you in the right direction or even give you in-depth assistance depending on what you need.Prices are super reasonable and cant urge you enough to support them. After years of living in areas with Home Depots and similarly horrible places, this is a breath of fresh air!

Love this place. More expensive than online or big box stores, but cant beat their convenience and the folks here are so nice and always helpful.They let you bring your dogs! and the house cat is very dog friendly. My pup and their cat have a friendship.Pro Tip: on the back of your safeway receipt there is almost ALWAYS a coupon for ace hardware.

Always pleased by the level of customer service at this Ace location. Definitely the helpful place with friendly hardware folk. Which is good, because one needs something extra when paying convenience store prices at times. The place has a great selection. It really is like a compact Home Depot or Lowes. One oddity about this location is that it is adjacent to a dog kennel/hotel, so when it is feeding or walking time, you will hear a whole lot of barking.

Very well stocked place. The only negative would be that you hear dogs barking the entire time you are there, lol. I guess a kennel upstairs

Went in and bought a plant and a planter and they potted it for me. Also gave me plant care instructions. Plus there was a very pregnant kitty cat wandering the store. Will come back to pet the cat or buy something again.

Most times I have been to the Ace Hardware in Canton the staff are very nice and helpful, especially the younger girl who often works behind the register (and Dapper the cat of course). Unfortunately, the last two times I have been to this store some associates were very rude. Last week I had to run in to grab just 1 (one) bag of potting soil— the store closed in about 10 minutes so I quickly walked to the back to get the soil. One associate, Johnathan, was quick to let me know “we close in 5 minutes.” I have worked retail, so I understand the annoyance but I quickly grabbed the one item I needed. Johnathan followed me around the store staring, in a way to push me to get my item and leave. I was rushing anyway, so it just felt rude and I was out of the store by 7:55 anyway. Today I had to check out with Mark, who might have been the grumpiest cashier I have ever encountered at any store before. Very rude and condescending, I hope to avoid his register at all costs the next time I come in.

I really enjoyed the experience, It felt the old fashion way to shop. Comfortable, helpful, and very knowledgeable. It was great !!!😉

Pretty large hardware store stocked up with most things you will need. Good in a pinch. However, the constant barking from the neighboring dog daycare can be a little distracting while you peruse garden hoses.

My friend and I wandered into Ace this past weekend with little to no knowledge of how we could complete a DIY project we found on Pinterest. Chris immediately greeted us and asked us if we needed help. We showed him the directions we had printed, and a photo of the ideal finished product. Chris was patient with us and found the best solution to what could have been a DIY nightmare. Thank you, Chris and Ace Hardware!

Despite the smaller footprint, the store carries most of what you need. People who work there are very helpful. However, store owner needs to replace credit card reader, which has been broken for several months and requires manual entry of card number for virtually all transactions -- in 2020! Cmon!

It was my first time going, and I liked the smaller size. Unfortunately, they didnt have the concrete mixing tub I was looking for so I had to visit the Despot anyway.

Amazing place. I go for plants and other things occasionally but the real deal was when I went in to have the battery in my car fob replaced. Over a decade old, screw completely stripped. An associate who’s shift had just ended started to work on it.It took 30 minutes, 3 associates, and what must’ve been $400 worth of power tools, but in the end I had the old fob back with a new battery, new threaded hole, and new screw so I can change it out myself next time. Charged me $10 plus the battery. I would’ve paid triple given the work they put in.I was too embarrassed to mention I have another key fob with the same issue. Maybe next time.Highly recommend.

We recently purchased a home in Patterson Park and had to get a spare door key made as well as buy a Baltimore City recycling bin, and we easily accomplished both tasks quickly and easily at Ace! Employees were friendly and helpful and we even got to meet the friendly store cat! We will definitely be back for all our home needs.

This place would get 5 easy stars if it had parking. During the pandemic you can park close by and it is truly a treat to shop here. After things get back to normal unfortunately it will be back to home Depot.

Ive had the best experience here. I am not at all savvy with any kind of home projects. The first time I went in, one of the employees walked aisle to aisle with me to help pick out things I would need for my project. I also brought my drill in and they showed me how to use it. Im a life-long Ace Hardware fan now.

Nice house plant selection.

They literally have everything! I needed to replace our door sweep and the gentleman who helped me was efficient in showing me where I everything I would need was located. I then spent another 30 minutes just looking at all the stuff they had and was amazed at the organization/cleanliness of the store! Definitely coming back here over Home Depot.

A great neighborhood business. Amazing customer service on the phone and in person. If they dont have what you need, they can often order it and have it within a few days. Considerg going here rather than one of the big box hardware store.

This is by far, THE BEST, Ace location I have been to. The staff are super helpful, knowledgeable, and really just want to see whatever need you came into the store for is met. Kind of a tucked away location and appearance from the outside, but the inside is anything but. Always well stocked, this location has become my primary hardware store for the Canton/Patterson Park area.

I just really love Ace Hardware, okay? It is the only errand I will go out of my way to run. This tucked-away Ace isnt actually all that tiny, and has everything Ive ever needed! Plus the staff are all super helpful and friendly, and theres a big orange store cat that sleeps on the carts. Make some excuse to go there now!

This place is a little expensive. Not a problem for small projects. The staff has a few older trades men working there twilight years, which makes a trip worth going for the advice.

More expensive than having it shipped from Amazon or the local big box hardware store but has a great selection of tools and building supplies when your missing those few things. The staff are always wonderful and why I continue to spend more to support the local Ace Hardware instead of saving a couple pennies getting my tools elsewhere. Their building materials department is sorely lacking (framing lumber, plywood, insulation, etc) and very expensive with their competition.

Rented a Bissell BigGreen carpet cleaner from the store. Machine was faulty and leaked all over out house during use although we did manage to get the job done. When returned to the store and complained about its faulty condition the store clerk Jerry said it wasnt their problem and I had to deal with Bissell. Further to this he made me get in my knees and scrub the bottom of the machine with a small brush or he wouldnt return my deposit. I had already cleaned the machine to my satisfaction, clearly not theres. I called Bissell about the faulty machine and they said it was the stores duty to return my deposit and I had to drive back and confront them about it. All said and done Im just going to let it go as its not worth my time to go back and argue with the rude staff member.

Canton Ace knows customer service. The folks here are always happy to help and help you figure out how to solve your problem. This location is also dog friendly and has a shop cat. I always have a good experience when I go to Ace.

This store is great with many gardening options . They have excellent products , even have many plants options.

Extremely poor checkout experience. Did not accept cards as credit, only debit. For one who does not use cash nor the debit card functionality was a poor experience.The how do you not use debit comment was also unnecessary.

Like every Ace hardware, the employees actually know what theyre talking about (unlike Home Depot, Lowes, etc). But also like every Ace hardware, items here are typically more expensive than the big box stores, sometimes even 2-3x the price for lower cost items. This Ace in particular obviously has the added benefit of being in a prime location many can simply walk to. Generally speaking, I shop at the big box stores, because i already know exactly what i need and i know itll be cheaper there. But if Im trying to fix an unusual or unfamiliar problem or i need specific parts or hardware in a hurry, Ill often just go to Ace. They will always approach you and ask if you need help, and 99% of the time they know how to help you. And their store is organized (unlike the big box stores), so if you need parts in a hurry you can be in and out really quick instead of hunting around for misplaced parts at Home Depot for hours. Dont be concerned about the dogs barking. Theres a dog daycare next door.

These driver had a road rage with one of their customer he was chasing me on the I 95 at round 12:16 pm 1/7/18... I wonder what went wrong with him be careful out there guys

They likely have what you need when you need it for all the basic home jobs. Its a bit more expensive than say home Depot, but its also in the city.
