Amazing talented barbers and very professional.

Shalyn, the bartender at QG is amazing. She always makes perfect cocktails and is extremely personable. The atmosphere is very inviting. The food is tasty and fresh. It’s amazing they sit atop of a great gentleman’s apartment store, barber shop and more. It’s not just for the gentleman though, it is highly encouraged as a “date night” worthy outing.

The QG is one of those places that doesnt exist anymore- where they treat you like family. A privately owned local business, the QG has it all. Barber shop, cigar lounge, bar, spa, clothier. Rusty and Craig are two of the nicest people youll ever meet and one of the highlights of my time in Baltimore has been being a master member here. Do yourself a favor the next time youre around downtown and check these guys out (valet provided) I will definitely be back to visit when I am back in town.

This place has everything! Way more than I expected just by walking by: Spa, restaurant, and an excellent higher end barbershop experience too, you can even get your shoes shined. Got to meet the owner on my first visit while at the bar and he was very nice. Decor, drinks, and food all blend together in a refreshing escape from the usual bar. Staff was very attentive. I have been a big fan of The QG for years - always enjoying the energy, service, and selections available at this throwback establishment. So, as restrictions are easing, I wanted to go down and support these hardworking people trying to make it through extremely challenging times that are far from over.So earlier this week, I stopped in and started with a bite, brew, and good conversation at Clock Bar. I went with a local Checkerspot IPA, an order of perfectly fried wings (tossed in their homemade spicy BBQ sauce - not on the menu but ON POINT), and some deviled eggs. Each hit the spot and fueled me up for a little retail therapy.I completed my trip in their clothing store - where I found some solid goodies for my father for his upcoming birthday - as well as a sweet pair of pants for myself. The service was wonderful and they have some great sales happening right now to get them to other side of this pandemic. As a sign of the times, I also picked up a QG PPP mask, and look forward to marketing this fine establishment as I do my part to keep us all healthy.Add the QG to your list of stops when getting back out there. Small high end boutique with off the rack, custom, and bespoke tailoring. The clock bar is fun. I havent visited the spa or cigar lounge or barbershop. The staff is 90% exceptional. I have run into the 10% at the entrance --- they just glare no greeting, no assistance. Also, in the menswear boutique. A particularly midly interested staffer was almost helpful when prodded. If his colleague hadnt rescued the situation and helped us the sale wouldve been lost.

This is an amazing place for so many reasons. Ive been coming here for years now to get the best haircut and shave ever. Their spa services are top notch. The QG is all about a great experience and great service. The clothing shop is top notch and the cigar lounge is excellent and very cozy. They also have a bar and lounge as well for a complete, luxury experience. Great place and will keep coming back.

I’ve only recently started going to the QG and I absolutely love it! The clock bar is an awesome place to grab a bite and a cocktail (their old fashioned is the best). It’s also a great place to get pampered. Char gave me the best brow wax I’ve ever had and Sonia gave me an amazing pedi. Check them out!

The QG is a unique experience. I enjoyed all the amenities while onsite. Erin, my masseuse was amazing. I just completed a rigorous workout and the hot stone/deep tissue massage she gave me was amazing. Her technique hit all the major stress points and left me very relaxed. I would highly recommend her and the overall experience. The food at the restaurant was pretty good as well.

The QG treats me like a king every Saturday. It is a relaxing and comfortable place. I am always satisfied with my haircut and beard trim. Sam goes above and beyond and I do appreciate it. Rusty is super accommodating to all my needs. I most definitely recommend the QG to anyone looking for a upscale barber shop.

Went to The QG to purchase cigars for a charity golf outing knowing nothing about cigars. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous, helping me pick out an appropriate selection for the event. Great experience!

Just got a pedicure here, and I was really disappointed. I chose the executive pedicure because I got a gift. It seemed like I got the same services I would get at any old salon, not a spa experience at all. The foot massage was less than a minute. I’d heard a lot about the QG giving out a beer or a glass of wine with haircuts. I’m not sure if the same is true for spa services, but I was not offered a drink. I left feeling like I got a $30 pedicure for $95 (nail polish is extra). I’ll be avoiding this spot in the future

Ive been getting my hair/beard cut here by Sam for over a year now. Great, classy location, you really feel catered to. I havent had a haircut that I didnt like and appreciate the very personal level of service. It costs a bit more than going to a generic place, but is very worthwhile.

Went on October 19 for a birthday day off treat. I never take the day off, but turned 44 and figured what the heck. Had an hour massage and a haircut. Staff was wonderful; Janice the massage therapist and Sam the barber were very nice and welcoming. Couldnt ask for any better treatment from the staff. Reason why I gave 3 stars was because during the massage session, all I could hear were some of the staff talking and laughing in what I presume was the room next door. It was like the room I was in was next to a break room. Wasnt expecting that as I thought these areas were supposed to be like libraries. Oh well. Next time will try the Four Seasons Spa instead.

I get my hair cut here about twice a month, and I am always very happy. I usually go to Sam, and hes one of the nicest guys ever. Always cordial and polite, and does a great job cutting my hair. Been coming here ever since I moved to town a couple of years ago, and Ill keep coming back.

I had a fantastic pedicure here on my last visit to Baltimore with Diana. Insiders tip: They dont offer polish because the clientele is primarily guys, but you can bring your own color. A perfect spot to treat yourself right!

If youre wanting a great straight razor shave, this is not the place! They really try, but simply dont have the products, equipment, or knowledge to pull-off a wonderful shave. I like the place, and if I needed a haircut Id give it a try. But, my recommendation would be to not spend your money on the shave.

I googled best barber in Baltimore and based on all these good reviews the QG came up. I hit a homerun first time up Sam at QG does an excellent beard trim and haircut. Old School hot towels and straight razor. QG is a beautiful shop with great people.

QG has been my on-again, off-again barber shop for what feels like many years now. Honestly, cant really get a similar experience anywhere else in Baltimore. That said, I havent visited their clothing shop or other offerings. For me, good for a cut and a beer while you wait.

Alex is the man! I have been looking for a real barber that knows how to style the top as well. Every time I get the perfect fade on the sides with that euro soccer length on top which is just perfect! He uses great equipment and uses all the right techniques so your hair grows out correctly and healthy. A+ haircuts every time

Fantastic place to get a haircut, but a bit on the pricey side. If you have spare time ask the receptionist at the front desk to let you up to CLOCK Restoration, the bar on the top floor where the clocks used to be restored back when this was (I think) a department store.

Extremely well done haircuts. They can style you hair almost anyway you would like. More than that they also have massages, and a spa. Make sure you make an appointment before you arrive.

Went looking for a straight-razor shave, and it was excellent. The prices were a bit higher than my budget allows for a common occurrence, but great for a treat now and then. This place was very comfortable and the staff was beyond friendly. Lindsey (barber/grooming expert) was really good!

I have never gotten a bad haircut from here. Youre paying a little more for a trim, but the atmosphere and the personality of both the store and the staff makes it well worth it. They have a large selection of grooming products too that I highly recommend.

I highly recommend Jaye Ferrone! After two disappointing experiences elsewhere, luck directed me to her and her work is perfect. In addition to being a professional hair stylist, she is kind and a great conversationalist meaning that she senses when you need quiet time and when you want to talk. I opt for the latter because she knows so much about what is currently going on in Baltimore that I always get great ideas about up-to-date town activities.Oh, and be sure to use the valet parking. Very nice establishment. Sometimes guys want to be pampered too, but they also want good results. I have been there a couple times now and each time i walked away feeling good about how i spent my time, money, and how my face and hair looked. Ebony studied my head, heard what i said, and instantly finished my thoughts and began sheering after receiving my nodding smile. Jennifer gives a great facial and is pleasant to converse. I think youd be pleasantly surprised if you go!

I come in every 2 weeks or so for a haircut and have never been disappointed. Im always greeted by a pleasant staff, offered a drink, and escorted to the waiting area with billiards and televisions set up while I wait. Great service all around.

The QG in the inner harbor is an awesome mens spa experience like Ive never seen anywhere else. Ive gotten cuts from several of the hairstylists, always to great result. The spa treatments are also nice - tried getting a manicure here in an attempt to help me stop biting my nails, and had a good enough time that I ended up making repeat appointments. The cocktail bar on the top floor is amazing. And, its all just across the street from where I work, so very conveniently located. If youre driving in from somewhere else, they have valet parking available just around the corner. Definitely worth a visit!

I love the QG! They carry a small but impeccably curated selection of mens and womens high end clothing. They carry shoe brands like Alden, Allen Edmonds, and Redwing. They also create their own custom suits in their tailoring shop. I had an overcoat tailored at QG, and they did a lovely job. I will definitely trust them with any future alterations. Additionally, the restaurant on the top floor is great. They make a variety of unique cocktails that you wont find other places--last time I had a mescal old fashioned. Simply put, if you care at all about clothes, you will love the QG.

For most of my pre-wedding spa treatments, I went to the Quintessential Gentleman in downtown Baltimore and got a massage, manicure with shellac & nail art, pedicure & an eye brow threading (also got lunch!), some of my bridesmaids also joined in and got a variety of services, as well. Everything for me took about 4 hours. They were so accommodating and even purchased extra glitter in anticipation of our arrival though they only had one nail artist working. The cost was a bit steep, especially considering there werent really any kind of group discounts or packages but it was a really fun experience, in a really cool environment & the people that helped us all day, especially the nail techs were so nice.

Went to go get a shave before I went to a wedding. The guy shaving me managed to cut me in multiple places and had my neck irritated for the whole night.

I am from Baltimore but live out of state these days, as I am currently serving in the military. I was visiting back home this weekend, and needed to get my haircut (in the Marines we have to get our haircut weekly). Finding a barber outside of a military town, who can cut a high-quality faded is usually a struggle. I have tried many different barbershops in the Baltimore region, and have yet to find one of my liking... until I visited the QG this weekend! I booked an appointment online with Laura, for 1100 Saturday morning. And I was more than pleased with not only my haircut, but the the experience as a whole! Laura did an amazing job with my faded haircut, and did a great job answering any questions I had. Luckily for me, she had time before her next appointment so she gave me a tour of the entire QG Department Store! The entire facility is not only clean, but extremely accommodating. The staff throughout the store were kind, welcoming, and most importantly of all they were very professional. They did an excellent job of making sure my needs were taking care of, and ensuring I never had to wait around. I could continue writing all day on how great the QG, their staff, and the experience was, but I will wrap this up with this. If you are in the Baltimore area, and are looking for a relatively inexpensive, professional service. Whether it be a simple haircut, or you are getting a new suit tailored, the Quinntessential Gentleman is the place to be! The QG is a destination! Hadnt been to a barber in 10 years, hadnt shaved in 5 months and even though I look like I walked off the set of Tom Hanks Castaway they treated me like a prince. Trish made me a great classic cocktail at the clubhouse bar. I talked to the owner Craig and their cigar man Ramon. The retail and smoke shops are top notch. The haircut and beard trim were great and though its a shame laura is taking a new role out of state, I would trust any of their barbers and stylists with a straight razor to my face. The QG is a gem. Check them out!

Since when does coming all the way downtown to get pants hemmed hilarious to the help? A pretentious and arrogant employee on the 5th floor did not stop to think how far and out-of-the-way (not to mention the parking situation) I came to leave pants at the tailor. She did not try to help, she only made it worse and kept nagging at me while I waited at the elevator. As I left the store, she was on the phone with the another employee sitting at the desk downstairs, obviously complaining, as the woman stopped talking on the phone as I got off the elevator and whispered he just left as I walked out the door. If you advertise a tailor, for gods sake teach your staff how to pin a hem and while youre at it, teach them how to act professional.
