This is a high end wine shop with low prices. I cant think of a better combination. They know their stuff, have a great collection and some of the best prices if not the lowest prices around.

Great guys in here.If you are looking for a place for cheap liquor, this aint your place. However, if you are looking for a place with a sophisticated and diverse collection of wines and spirits, look no farther.Situated right next to Eddies of Roland Park, this liquor store is quite convenient for those who frequent eddies. The salesmen are quite friendly and helpful, and love to give advice for that perfect wine pairing. This is a grown-ups liquor store; if theres any teens reading this, never try using a fake ID at a place like this, you will embarrass yourself. The more you come back here, the more at home you will feel. Show them some love and head on over.

Pricing is an interesting model, all prices on a shelf are the same.

The staff is helpful and the prices are actually on par with or better than the surrounding stores. They have a great selection for a relatively small store. When its possible again, they hold tastings which are not to be missed.

My mother and I visited this shop on Christmas Eve, and soon as we walked in, I wanted to pivot out. Unfortunately, my mother did not get the memo about me wanting to high tail out of the store. You see, my mother and I handle things very differently. While being accosted by store clerks like a bunch of hounds, she fully leaned into them like a professional actress, a dream of hers not yet realized. As I pivoted towards the door, I watched in horror as my mother told self-deprecating jokes to make the uncomfortable palatable. Everytime, we moved different clerks greeted us, Can we help you? Can we help you?. I started making my way to the door; while I was doing just that, my mother settled on a clerk that would follow-us throughout this journey. A bald-headed, squatty little man, a conversation ensued about liquor, well, you know most African Americans love Hennesey, he said to my mother knowingly.I fully did not want to purchase any beverage at this store, obviously. The store clerks were doing there best to make us feel comfortable, but it came off as if they took some horrible one-on-one class about how to deal with diverse groups walking into their store. I walked over to the squatty little man that helped us out. The clerk was pretty rude when I asked about a wine that my soon to be mother-in-law likes. Because it wasnt a fine-wine, he scoffed at it but handed it to us all the same. My mother asked me to find a picture of a wine we had years before on my phone. I rolled my eyes at her and begrudgingly searched for the photo. Of course, I was unable to find this elusive picture from Christmass past.Meanwhile, the clerk picked up a wine that we (literally) have at home to get us out of the store. It was in a blue bottle, which, to him, probably satisfied at least one of the descriptors that my mom gave about the wine; therefore, he was satisfied. At this point, my mother wanted to leave as much as I did at the start of this odyssey. She obliged the clerk, responded, with a nod, yes, this is the wine weve been trying to find all this time, thank you. And, as if he did us a favor, guided us to the counter. Once herded to the register, apple pay in my hand, the clerk was finally comfortable releasing us. I hate to breathe these next few lines; Ive said a lot to say what most have already surmised after reading the top half of this post. If you are African American, maybe think twice about going to this fine wine establishment. Our experience was not great. I dont take kindly to folks following me around stores like I dont make an honest living and pay taxes like everyone else in this godforsaken country. I have friends that take great joy in being followed around stores, will purposely bob and weave throughout ile to screw with the clerk. I dont have the time to do all of that. I will leave a store if a clerk feels the need to follow me around. Its not worth my patronage. I am no criminal, nor is my mother. I make an honest wage, I drive a Subaru, she drives a Lexus, we are not robbing anyones store.
