Eric helped me to fix my dryer heating problem,he said control board is bad, then give me a link to order the parts, then come back to help me to installed it. but my dashboard is blank after he installed the new control board. wrong parts? he promise to contact company to solve this issue, but till now 3 weeks already no respond ,now matter i called him and text message,he did not respond to me.i really get tired for that. i spent $430 total parts and labor, i should buy new one. irresponsible!!!!!!!!!! stay away from him, stay away from this company, all star appliance repair baltimore.

$65 for diagnostic, supposedly to go against the repair. The guy showed up and diagnosed the fridge would need a new circuit board, placed an order for the part on a Friday and was supposed to bring it in and install on Monday. Never showed up. I re-checked myself and it turns out the board was just fine. All he needed to do was observe that one of the shelfs in the fridge mounted too low and every so small a bent in it caused it to tilt the freezer/fridge rocker switch to neutral/no function position. Moved the shelf back up, pressed the switch to the proper position and voila, it works just fine. When I called him - prior to the self diagnostic - he told m he had to check with the warehouse for the part. That was the last I heard of him and he wasnt picking up the phone either (which made me double check his diagnostic). What a joke!Update: And now, when negative review is posted they use the old trick of claiming Im not their customer. Check your accounting. You charged my card and I have the receipt.

2 weeks later our dishwasher has still not been repaired--the repairman came, charged us a $65 diagnostic fee, and told us he would have the part in a couple days. We have texted him repeatedly, and at first he to promised to stop by, but now we arent even getting a response. I rarely write reviews, but Im floored how terrible this experience has been!Update: I had a response that the business doesnt recognize me as a reviewer-- thats because you were communicating with my husband-- screenshot of the texts that never got answered included. If you look at the 1-star reviews for this business, its the same problem.

There is nothing more I appreciate from services like this than candor and honesty. The gentleman that answered my call 1. answered immediately which these days is hard to get 2. was friendly and knowledgeable and 3. didn’t try to sell me a false diagnosis to get more money out of me. He came, he looked at the washer, and immediately told me (unfortunately) it was not something I could repair but would need to replace the unit. Bad news, but at least he didn’t try to fiddle with the thing and pretend to fix something just so he could charge me a little something extra.I mentioned my bf was also having issues with a unit at his place and he diagnosed the problem over the phone and sincerely urged him to fix the problem before ruining the whole unit. Lastly I asked what brand/type of unit I should purchase and he laid out two excellent options that were affordable, and in his experience, lasted the longest. Overall superb customer service. I still had to pay $65 for the diagnosis and for him to come out, but that’s cheaper than the $99 I would have paid Sears to come out to do the same thing. The lead time for him to get to the house to complete the appt from the time I called was 48 hrs, another rarity these days. I’m waiting a week for other services to have someone available. Would definitely recommend this business and will call them again for future maintenance/repairs.Thanks for everything!!!

I had an issue where my refrigerator stopped working. I called my home warrenty company who referred me to another company that was not responsive at all. I googled refrigerator repair. All-star Appliance was the first company to pop up. I called the number and Eric answered. Eric was very responsive and sensitive to the fact that I had been without a refrigerator for days during a heat wave. After getting outside authorization on Wednesday. He diagnosed the problem ordered the part and my refrigerator was working by Friday. Eric is a great asset the company. He’s professional, efficient, timely and very professional. Do not judge based on first impressions !!! They might burn your house down.Pros: I submitted a request online and got a call back within 15 minutes and a next day appointment. So far so good. Eric called 30 minutes ahead, arrived on time and quickly replaced the thermal fuse in my dryer. Again, So far so good. He checked me out, and there’s no doubt that the total cost - about $150 - was reasonable and much lower than other quotes.(NOTE: at no point did he mention there were additional suggested repairs or issues)Several days later, I threw a load in the dryer, pushed start and walked away.CONS: 15 minutes later, I went into my basement to complete another household task, and the entire basement was HOT and HUMID and…smelled of dryer sheets. I immediately knew something was wrong with the dryer exhaust, & turned off the dryer. I peered behind it to find that the exhaust hose had not been reattached!! It was just laying on the ground behind the dryer, nowhere near the exhaust connection - so it’s not like it was reattached and fell off. (I had also not used or even touched the dryer since the repair.)Now, this might not sound like a big deal, but as a homeowner in an old house, with a dryer that is in a semi enclosed space, I know that this is a FIRE HAZARD.So yeah, great. He was on time, made quick work of the repair, and gave me a bargain price. But he didn’t put things back the way he found them.His lack of thoroughness COULD HAVE BURNED MY HOUSE DOWN. By not at *least* mentioning that he didn’t (or couldn’t) reattach the dryer exhaust or suggesting that it be replaced before resuming use he put my family & I at risk.If you hire this company for work, CHECK BEHIND THEM BEFORE THEY LEAVE, or you might be put at risk too.

The serviceman was amazing. Came in and diagnosed the issue after I lifted the lid of the washing machine. Five minutes later the issue was fixed. My wife couldn’t be happier.

Diagnosed the issue with my gas oven, fixed it, gave me an idea of what might go wrong next and approx cost, and everything was done before 1030am. 45 day guarantee and charged me the fee for coming out. I needed these gasket arms on my stove top replaced. The guy seemed like he did an alright job and then the next day I went to use the stove and what he put together fell apart. I ended up having to repair it myself meaning all I did was waste my money calling these guys. Worst of all, I tried to be nice about it and called the repair man three times that day to be like, hey when can you come finish the job I paid you for? And each time he picked up the phone, made up some excuse to get off the phone, said he’d call back and never did. Idk if they are all finks but this guy was.

It was a week and a half to have Sears look at my refridgerator. I calledbAll Star and they came the next day. The guy knew within 3 seconds of looking at it that the problem was with the defrost thermostat and had it fixed in 10 minutes.The total charge was close to what Sears wanted just to look at it.This was an excellent experience with this company.

Called All-Star Appliance Repair about a baking element not working after being replaced. The gentleman that assisted me over the phone told me that it must be the control board that was malfunctioning. He told me after I gave him my ovens model # what kind of control board I needed. I ordered the control board from Amazon and he even instructed me how to put it in myself. He could have easily come, did it himself and charged me for labor, but he did not. Needless to say the oven is now up and running thanks to his instructions. This act speaks volumes about the type of employees this company has and the great business that they do. I HIGHLY recommend them, and most certainly will be using this company again!

Eric visited my home last Friday and was on time, friendly and efficient. He thought he identified the issue with my gas intake valve, had the part and replaced it on the spot.It fixed only part of the problem. I let him know I was still having issues and he circled back the next week to take another look.Again arrived on time and quickly identified the issue. Presto! Dryer is 100% again. So I didn’t actually have service done on an appliance but I did give them a call and I’m blown away by the full transparency and not just trying to take my money. I told them what was going on with my dryer, how old it was and what I thought the problem was. My name is Davon. Last week this guy charged me and my fiancé $65 dollars to diagnose a problem on our washer machine. Upon diagnosing the machine he said it was the sensor and he would be back on Tuesday 1/5/2021 to fix it. He did not come to fix it. He did not return any of our phone calls (when he saw our phone number) and he had no intentions of fixing the machine. Bro is a scam artist. He goes around collecting $65 from people, with no intention of fixing the equipment. I regret not reading these reviews before hiring him. Please take heed to my review so you dont get bamboozled by this guy.

Within 24 hours, I was able to schedule my appointment and have my fridge looked at. Eric came over, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue. He was honest, candid, and professional. I plan on recommending him to friends and using him in the future for any small appliance concerns.

I called Eric because my freezer stopped working. He came same day, within a few hours of my call! AMAZING! I have so much food in my freezer and really wanted a same day appointment.He was able to diagnose and fix the issue in about 10 minutes and cut me a deal on price. He told me to then thaw out my freezer for 8 hours, plug it back in, and I should be good to go! I did just that and my freezer is working again.I also asked him if he could take a look at a dishwasher issue I’ve been having. Cannot express how smoothly working with Eric and All-Star went to get our oven back up and running in a matter of days, even when a major part was needed to be ordered. We used our home warranty company to try to get this fixed, and none of their contracted folks could even come assess the problem for two weeks. Luckily, we were able to convince them to allow us to find out own. Eric diagnosed the problem, had the part ordered, and installed it in less than a week, all while waiting on us to get approvals from the warranty company at each step (painful) and was reasonably priced as well. Fantastic job and highly recommend their work!
