They are very hit and miss with their service and sales team. I have been doing business with them for over 5 years and you never know what you will get. The quality of workmanship is good but the communication and customer service is weak. I called in to purchase a riding mower. Spoke to a sales rep and asked it I could demo it on their property before buying. She said Ill have my service manager (Jamie ?) call you back> After several days I email the store and the owner told be it was sold. There was no emotion or apology, or even let me recommend another mower. Just that it was a done deal. The previous fall season (Oct. 2020) I went in 2x to look at back pack leaf blowers. The sales team members went through the motions but did not recommend or take a position on which one to buy. I purchased the large Red Max unit at their competition. They had an option and asked for the sale. Between the riding mower and back pack blower Arco missed about $3000 in sales to me. Since they sold the riding mower they probably dont care.

The Arco Lawn Equipment staff frequently park and leave their large box trucks on the residential street nextdoor unattended. When asked to move the truck this afternoon, the driver cursed out and yelled at us as we were trying to safely exit the street.They regularly block traffic here and create an unsafe situation. The police (traffic and code enforcement) have been made aware of this issue.

Super Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tried fixing my 10 year old toro and Tim was helping me out with it. After multiple attempts at fixing it myself, I decided to go ahead and buy a new trimmer. Tim helped me find the right one.

Took my mower in to be repaired, 3 weeks later it was done and they charged me $90 more than what was required to resolve the problem with the mower. When I pulled around to load the mower, the snowflake whom brought my mower out asked for my paperwork even though I was the only one picking up then just walked away before assisting me with loading into my truck bed. Beware this company is not to be trusted for repairs in a timely manner or proper communication with the customer.

Tim helped me pick the right chainsaw for my specific needs.Obviously they are in business to sell lawn equipment, but they are even more focused on making sure it is the RIGHT piece of equipment for your specific job. Highly focused on personalized customer service.I recommend you give them a shot at your business.

For me, everyone at ARCO, has always treated me well and that is why they seem to have a lot of repeat business. They also tell me if they dont know something and they will find out and get back to me which is much better than a lot of the dealers who give you a line of well....I have purchased many things at ARCO, had several items that I have not purchased there repaired and rented many things. Everyone that I have worked with helps me and treats me with great customer service at a very reasonable price.

They did an excellent job in cleaning up the lawn mower. They are very expensive. The guys outside where you drop off and pick up were not always wearing masks when greeting customers. The gentleman who loaded the lawn mower into the car put it in where it kept rolling back and forth as I wasdriving . It caused damage to the inside of my car. We will not be coming back.

They are great! Ive used them for a while now, and have always been happy with them. Couldnt get my mower started, and they got me going again really fast. Turned out it was the gas. And they are close to the house. Need work done on your mower or leaf blower? Arco is the place to go!

Avoid at all costs. Terrible customer service in addition to products of the lowest quality and very expensive repairs to top it all off.I decided to give this place a shot in March of 2019 to purchase a new lawnmower and support a local small business. Fast forward less than 18 months later and I have had to bring it into the shop 5 times for repairs. The most recent was $115 to replace the drive belt. For those unaware, this is a $10 part and shouldnt be more than a 10-minute job.Arco has refused to contact the manufacturer or replace the mower as I am convinced it is a lemon and instead just keeps trying to squeeze every penny out of their customers to maintain their low-quality products.It pains me to say it but save yourself the hassle and for the same cost and far superior customer service head onto over to Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards for your next lawn care purchase.

Poor customer service. Miscommunication. Poor rental procedures. A representative called me hours after I had returned a piece of rental equipment claiming damage, even though when I had dropped it off, there was nothing of concern noted by the person to whom I returned the equipment. The representative was very accusatory and made a personal statement attempting to question my integrity.Their rental procedures are very much lacking as there is no formal inspection of equipment with the customer prior to/upon returning equipment rentals. Lack of such a system creates confusion, miscommunication, and may result in business practices that are unfair for the customer.Arco handled a lot of things improperly in this situation, and while some can be forgiven, I was most upset when the representative stated, “Well, this is your first time with us, so obviously this is how you do business,” implying that I was in some way trying to scam them. It was inappropriate, unprofessional, and absolutely unwarranted.

Would never return or recommend ARCO to anyone else. Had 3 of the worse experiences with them this last year. Their go-to way of fixing anything is to replace the carburetor. Never had a more frustrating experience with them. Save yourself some time - go elsewhere.

Salesman LIED and said I would receive a $500 gift card from Toro with my purchase of a $8500 mower. Never happened and manager said I already received a $500 discount at the time of purchase although nothing on my receipt states this. They are unscrupulous and are only there to make sales. DO Not TRUST THIS SHOP. After sale service is non existent. They will not return phone call either. AWFUL

I had taken my lawn mower into ARCO for the Early Bird Tune Up Special in February and picked it up mid-March. I didn’t need to mow until April and when I tried to start it for the first time it took about 5-10 minutes of fiddling with the throttle, spark plug, kill switch to finally get it going. I thought that it was just ME so I mowed my yard and put it away. The next time... same thing! Still me? After the third mowing this week, or I should say my third attempt.... no luck! It would not start! I decided to take it into the shop early yesterday and was greeted by Sharon! She is always so warm and welcoming when the customer comes in and after hearing my problem called for the store manager to come by, who then called down to to the repair area to see if someone could look at my mower right then and there and let me know if it was a quick fix or something that I might have to leave it for. The young man who came up was so helpful and finally got it running after several attempts. He then rolled it down into the repair area where other technicians all stood around my mower while I heard it revving up and down. (I liken it to a group of doctors evaluating a patient!!) A few minutes later... up comes my mower and now starts on the very first pull! The answer? Bad gas! (I think that we can all relate to that! Ha!) Ten minutes later I was mowing my front yard and an hour later I was heading off to work! My thanks to Sharon and the whole ARCO gang for their top-notch service and commitment to customer service! Five stars might just not be enough for this company!

Went in today thinking the clutch on a chainsaw was shot. Before even getting past the front desk, problem solved. The nice lady at the service desk re-set the automatic chain break and the saw was back in action. No charge. They could have easily kept my saw and at least charged me some shop fee. This company is honest and I highly recommend them. Ive purchased a trimmer and a few other things over the years from them and the service is always great -- try getting that from a big box.

I so appreciate the customer service I get at Arco. When I brought in the mower, they started it, checked a number of things, and told me on the spot what they recommended. A few days later they called with an estimated price, and a couple of options. The mechanic also said he wanted to try something before we order new parts. The bottom line was he was able to fix the transmission instead of replacing it, saving me $190. Thanks Mark, and Arco!

This is a great place to buy and service your lawn and garden power tools. They offer quality brands at competitive prices sold by knowledgeable and relaxed personnel. Their service department provides equally excellent service and support. Ive purchased a chain saw and blower from them in the past and recently brought in a snow blower for warranty service that I bought from one of the big box companies.They could not have been more helpful and cut me a break when it turned out to be operator error. Good people who do business right.

I just purchased a Stihl trimmer and used it today. I considered it carefully as it appeared significant in terms of price compared to other brands. There is no question the price is higher but it became apparent very quickly this unit has a much lower cost. It does ten times the work and it is simply fun to use. The brush cutting option is amazing. I dont have any other tools which come close for cutting brush.Thanks Guys.

I was suddenly tired of raking leaves all my life, and rain was coming. So I went to my neighborhood guy stuff store. I thought I knew what I was going to buy, but Kyle convinced me to make a better choice. The whole purchase, extended warranty for buying a can of gas, and a test start took only a few minutes. I got home and cleared my whole yard in 2 hours, and then it started raining. I even got a Black Friday sale price on a Stihl. My third time as a customer and every time exceeded my expectations.

Ive come here for years purchased many pieces of equipment and bought gifts for others here and was a satisfied customers.------ Then I had a problem with them sharpening my chain saw chains. Took in 6. 1 couldnt be sharpened but they charged me for it anyway. .4 chains came back and didnt cut worth stink. 1 chain cut great. Had to make the 40 mile round trip to take them back in to redo and another 40 miles to pick them up. back inMost recently took in a weed wacker. It was working great and gas line broke. I Took it in IMMEDIATELY. 3 WEEKS LATER they called and said the carburetor was BAD. Not what I took it in for. $150. to fix the carb. (Sell for $30 on Amazon and take 15 minutes to take old one off and put the new one on. I VOWED not to return to ARCO.then I got a call from Tim. He walked me through the workings of the piece of equipment. He asked me what I thought was a Fair resolution to my complaint. The Fact that He called Was good enough for me. It showed they cared about customer service and customer concerns. The place I used to do business with would Never had made that call. I was very satisfied with his explanation. I will continue to use ARCO for my repairs and equipment needs. Thanks Tim..

Not fair service when renting. I understand places are busy and I do not mind waiting even if I have a full day ahead. But when 2 other people get helped before me I dont find that fair. Espicailly if one of the customers goes on the outside road and cuts in line of other waiting cars. Then they get helped first. And watching the car behind you get help and leave before you even get talked to seems just ridiculous.

I took my old mower in to get it repaired and they told me about a known problem with my mower, and that I could spend the money to fix it, but that it would be smarter to replace it because of all of the changes Toro had made to upgrade all the parts that typically broke. Then they suggested that I buy the one that didnt shut off when I unloaded the bag and I have REALLY liked that feature! Highly recommend them for straightforward honest answers to all of your lawn equipment needs.

Ordered replacement parts through their on-line store. Encountered a warranty problem and ARCO took care of it immediately. Also had a function problem with one of the parts. Called and the representative gave me a solution on how to fix the problem and recommended another part that I needed. Great service especially considering I used their on-line services. If service was FREE youd be getting RIPPED off... We only came here because where my son bought the mower ($2400.00 Toro commercial grade) last year had a 4 weak waiting period. Upon dropping the mower off they could not process my sons credit card for the $40.00 deposit needed on a $2400.00 mower before they would start work. They noted the credit card number on his ticket and said they would bill him all at once when the job was done. He then gets a call from their receptionist days later stating they could not start service until he paid the $40.00 deposit, which she was told you people do not know what the left hand is doing, check the notes on the ticket.They also said as a matter of policy if the bill is under $150.00 they go ahead with service. ARCO failed to call to get his authorization hitting him with over $300.00 unnecessary seasonal maintenance bill!! A bill is one thing but it went beyond terrible. They have no regard to take care of your property they scratched the hell out of his seriously well taken care of mower and BENT THE FRONT AXLE!!!! They must have FAKE 5 star positive reviews even taking a credit card took 3 people. The service manager did not even have the balls to apologize, he even had the delusion TO THINK WE WOULD RETURN FOR FUTURE SERVICE. He had the audacity to say to us we dont think we can meet your future service needs take his business elsewhere. THANKS FOR FIXING THE DAMAGE YOU CAUSED ARCO 3 WEEKS LATER!!! We have no idea how they got Toro to pay for the damages (at no charge to), but we will be calling Toro.

Dropped of a pair of stihl hedge trimmers to have the blades sharpened i called a few days later and was told they are still working on it i asked what was taking so long they said they had to rebuild my carburetor or replace with a new one and then gave me prices i asked for what? it ran fine when i dropped it off starts every time i never asked for my carb to be replaced or even checked out. Told them i was coming to pick up my stihl hedge trimmers on my arrival they brought me a box of parts for my hedge trimmer my carburetor was in pieces and i was given a bill. This place is a ripoff scam they do unauthorized work that didnt need to be done. Avoid like the plauge.

Two years ago I received a Troy Built lawn/planting edger. It worked perfectly the first time but couldnt get it to run properly 6+months therafter. After working with others to no avail I remembered ARCO and asked to speak with Mark the service manager. So unusual in todays hurry up world of business he took all the time needed to fully understand the nature of the problems. Within just a few days he had the right parts installed and now it works like it was new. I have been back a couple of other times with other needs and again he takes the time to fully understand the issues. When I compare their customer service to others in the retail market, there is just no one who comes close. The entire staff and in particular Mark are a pleasure to work with and are a real credit to their fine company. They are a full 5 Stars in my book!

As a garlic grower I need a functioning roto tiller. Mine decided not to function at the beginning of this years planting season (which for garlic begins in October). Arco Lawn Equipment listened to the problem and put me in cue to repair this older tiller.Tim called me with the diagnosis and i approved the choice to go forward with everything except the belt replacement. The belts seemed to be ok.However, after the repairs to this tiller and delivery to the site the tiller quickly failed as a result of a shredded belt. I needed to stay busy and plant a couple thousand plus garlic plants.I write this review because Arco proved to be the type of business and the quality of personal (Sharon, Mark, Blake, & Tim) in this experience that did what needed to be done to get me back to my project. They picked up the tiller and repaired the issue and they did it efficiently and professionally the way we hope a business will respond to an urgent need. I want to thank them for that. They produced good business that will allow me to grow great garlic.

First time experience today as my normal place was closed for a week. Toro key start mower taken in as it would not start with key (or with pulling, although we never use that, that is why we bough a key start to begin with). When they called to say it was fixed and I went in to pick it up, it still would not start at all with the key, and initially not with the pull either. Obviously, I was frustrated with wasting my time and I requested a refund and planned to go back to my normal place. They refused and claimed they were not told specifically to fix the key start by my wife who dropped it off, although they were told that it would not start / turnover even in their notes on work order. When I explained that of course we wanted the key start to work, thats why we have it, they claimed that some people dont want that fixed and they did not know. Really? Really what they are saying is that todays $50 is more important than the hundreds if not thousands of dollars they could have earned by simply handling the situation to my satisfaction today and inviting me to come back and try again. Once again, someone stepping over $1 to pick up a penny. Foolish, dont go here, they only care about todays dollar.

ARCO Lawn Equipment - It started with no one else being able to get me a part for my Toro blower. I found ARCO on the internet and they were able to order the part for me and notified me when it was available for me to pick it up. Once in the store I was able to look at the selection of mowers, trimmers, blowers, snow blowers and edgers. An associate asked if I needed assistance and he was able to answer all my questions and pointed out a few options I should consider. Since then Ive purchased a trimmer, lawn mower and accessories from ARCO and I plan on going there for all my lawn care needs, including maintenance and service. The staff has always been knowledgeable and courteous - Id recommend ARCO to anyone I know, theyre my go-to team for my lawn care needs.

Ive been going to Arco for about three months now and the service is above and beyond. Ive been looking at commercial backpack blowers for awhile now and was thinking about getting a shindaiwa until I talked to Tony. He did not once put down shindaiwas product but he said let me tell about the differences then make your decision. Im glad I listened he was not only knowledgeable on his product the Stihl BR600 but he was also knowledgeable on shindaiwas product even though he doesnt even sell shindaiwa. That alone was nice to see that he studied the competition and didnt put it down but even said they make a good well built product but he said his blower had the same features and more for a better price. I am so happy that I got the stihl this thing is unbelievably powerful it will move a brick on concrete very easy. And the coolest thing is I used for about 3 1/2 hours and all it used was about a cup of gas. Awesome machine and a lifelong customer. Very smart and nice staff thanks again Tony!
