Everyone is very nice and helpful and the price is right. In my opinion one of the best things about this location is they want to help you unlike a dealership that makes you feel like a burden and that they really dont need your business. Meineke does care and will help out in any way they can. However there has been a good bit of turnover in management and staff in the past few years and theyve lost the family feel and the personal connection with clients they once had. Ive noticed little things sometimes fall through the cracks like checking all fluids or completing smaller tasks on the ticket so I find I have to be more engaged and do some extra follow up at times. But they know what theyre doing and thats whats most important to me. In addition theyre service tends to be a lot slower now and they dont stick to their given appointments very well (setting an appointment for one time and not taking you until 2hrs later or 1.5-2hrs for an oil change whereas 2 years ago they had me in and out in 20 min). At the same time, busy is a good sign and they are far more friendly there than a dealership. The price is also very reasonable. Overall its still the best value around in my opinion, which is why I continue to make them my go to service location of choice.

They are fast, friendly, and do great work! They are willing to check on any issues you maybe having with your car even if theyre minor. I have an old car and I always give them a little list of things to check out. They do a great job looking everything over!They are reasonably priced and they look up coupons to help out with your bill too!They also have a key drop off box which has saved me on multiple occasions when I make an early morning appointment but I have work in the morning. I just drop my car off the night before and call them in the morning to give them a heads up.I highly recommend them. It is a great place to take your car! 🙂

I have used this place for many years for various repairs on multiple cars. Today will be my last. They are using bait and switch on posting coupons online and then will not honor them after the service is complete. Gave some reason as Corporate puts them on there and nothing he can do. No offense but for a long time customer there is something you can do. Honor the coupon and explain that they cant do it again the future. Poor management, customer service and all around shady practice.

They were extremely friendly and courteous when I got my oil changed. I asked them to take a look at my brakes. The Mgr took the time to explain to me in detail that my brakes looked good and weren’t needed to change. It was a breath of fresh air as most places will use any excuse to charge you or perform less-than-necessary services. I would recommend this meineke for their honesty and friendly service!!!

I understand that bigger repairs will cost me more but how the mechanic explained it to me I have a better understanding. I had a car problem , and took it to meineke, I talked to Jack the manger. He reassured me the car would be fixed. I knew it wasnt a simple fix because it shows so many codes and its hard to figure out. The next day I contacted them, and they are still trying to solve the problem.Dave the mechanic talked to me, informed me he will find out what the problem is, he just needs more time. EVERYTIME I go up there Jack is super friendly and funny. They have a good crew and good luck work.

My vehicle has 217,000 miles. I was apprehensive about putting a lot of money into it. Jack inspected the vehicle and advise me it was worth fixing. He kept the price down and did a wonderful job.

I came for the basic oil change and when I arrived for my appointment, he told me 45 minutes to an hour. It ended up being two hours and I was very late for my next appointment. Plus, none of the employees wore masks, including the one who pulled up my car. He told me they were a bit short staffed that day and that was the reason it took so long, but I would’ve appreciated a heads up and the option to reschedule. I also over heard conversations by employees - complaining about how horrible the day has been, with some swearing. Which, I can understand that we all have our rough days, but it wasn’t professional. He did find a coupon for me at checkout so it was at a discounted price and the guy checking me out was nice, hence the two stars instead of one. Not sure I will be returning.

My ac went out and Jack was able to get me right in to figure out the problem. AC compressor ended up being the problem.

If you need a timing belt replaced give these guys a call. They did mine and saved me a LOT of money compared to the dealership. I called both and the price difference was too big to ignore. Since they had our vehicle I asked them to do the brakes too. Very happy with the price and quality.

I came in for a pre-purchase inspection. My usual mechanic was booked. All the independent mechanics in the area were booked. Im generally leery of chain places due to a number of poor experiences in the past.Im pretty blown away by the service I received. Dave in the office was so professional and brought Dave the technician (different people) in to help explain what they found and answer any questions I had. They had pictures of everything and it gave me so much confidence going back to the dealer.Id give them 10 stars if I could. Im still wary of chain mechanics, but if I lived in the area, Id make this my regular shop.

Dave and his team did an outstanding job on replacing a water pump. I was 900 miles from home and called them to check out a coolant leak. They fitted me into a busy schedule,diagnosed the problem and installed it the same day. I cannot Express enough thanks and appreciation for the quality and honesty from this shop. They even gave me a ride to where I was staying while the repair was made. It would have been easy to take advantage of a customer in a bind as I was, but they treated as if I was a regular customer. Thanks again for a job well done!

This simple oil change took over an hour. I guess making an appointment didn’t matter. I was also very disappointed to have my car returned to me with an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. As a mother of a young child, that is not something I want around my baby. I have used this location before, but will not be using them again. Very unhappy.2 stars if because the price was fair and the gentleman behind the counter was very respectful.

These guys took me in and replaced the serpentine belt on my car at a late hour when everyone else was closing and/or didnt have a tech available. They started working on my car the minuet I pulled in and charged me about half of what I expected. All was done in less than twenty minuets. Amazing!

HONEST QUALIFIED AUTO TECHNICIANS / GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICEI received a $3,000+ estimate to repair my daughter’s 2011 Jetta from a local VW dealership. The estimate included front and rear brakes ($1,200), vacuum pump ($1,220), power steering hose ($350), tires ($410) and brake lights ($60). The dealership charged me $139 for their estimate. After receiving the estimate, I discussed trading in the 2011 on a new VW with the dealership. The dealership offered me $2,000 on a trade-in, while comparable 2011 VWs retail for $6,000 to $8,000. Before buying a new car, I received a second opinion from the Meineke Car Care Center in Ballwin, since I’ve used other Meinekes in the past for brake work and oil changes and trust them. I spoke with Jack Borgshulte, the store manager, about the items and scheduled an appointment. Jack said that he would review each item. I didn’t know that Meineke offered such a wide variety of mechanical services. After reviewing each item, Jack said that the car only needed front brakes, the back brakes had 45% left ($650 savings), the vacuum pump was computer misdiagnosis due to a recent new battery installation that threw the dealer’s computer off ($1,220 savings), and the power steering fluid was low and Jack refilled it with fluid containing dye at no charge ($350 savings). Due to the diagnostic time needed to identify the brake light issue, I scheduled that work for next week. My daughter and I picked up the car on Friday afternoon. She said it’s runs great and is no longer making the “funny noise” when she brakes. I was so relieved! Now we have time to assess my daughter’s situation and carefully shop for a new car rather than a fire drill purchase. Based on my experience with Jack and the Meineke Car Care Center team, they earned a customer for life, and, most importantly, it pays to get a second opinion after receiving a mortgage-size estimate from a “stealership”. They were able to fit me in same day as calling. Took a little longer than initially thought for my inspection but I know they were working fast as they could. There was someone not masked up in their waiting area unfortunately and no staff said anything to them. Id have waited outside instead but it was raining. Perhaps they could get a pop up shelter to increase waiting area space to accommodate social distancing.

Everyone was friendly and easy to work with. Problems were explained and choices given as to what services are recommended vs what is required or strongly recommended.

Schedule appointment at 10 told to come back at 2 waited 45 min while they had to get a filter from another store. They knew that the car was coming in for an oil change in advance with t h scheduled appointment and still did not have the correct parts for oil change. Poor quality co tool poor service. Took almost 3 hours for a 30 min job. Very disappointing.

I came in for my appointment and although with the limited space and the overlap of another car. They took that car down and did my oil change so Instead of sitting there for an hour and a half it was only 40 min. Great customer service. Had good coupons available as well. I payed half the price of it.

My car battery completely died and after a jump I was desperately looking for a car care place to take me in as I drove around with my two little kids. I have used Meineke before in other areas of the country, and I’ve always been happy with the service and quality. So I knew, when the friendly and very professional Meineke employee told me to come on in they would get it taken care of (I was also practically in tears by this point), that my car would be fixed appropriately and quickly. And I was correct. The technician explained what he was checking and what the problem was right in front of me and looked up the part and gave me a reasonable quote. As soon as the battery was delivered they got to work and before I knew it I was on my way! I know they were so busy that day and to take the time to both reassure me, get the job done, AND be incredibly friendly and professional was awesome.

Great Experience. Got me in earlier than my appointment date and time. Was able to send me pictures of my entire inspection. Called me to go through what they thought was a priority and what wasn’t. Gave me an estimated date of a week turnaround. Had it done in less than 4 days and kept me updated throughout the entire process.

I brought my car in for a simple safety inspection. Upon my arrival, I was greeting in a timely friendly manner. The mechanic who inspected my car also did a full inspection of the vehicle to make sure my car was safe and had no mechanical issues. He walked me through everything he found wrong with my car in a very professional manner and pointed out what I need. Called 10 minutes before appointment time and was assured that they were running on time; however, my car wasn’t pulled into the stall until 35 minutes after my appointment time. Requested no tire rotation due to my time constraints. I checked on my vehicle after 25 minutes to find my tires being removed and questioned it. Mechanics failed to read the order properly and were rotating my tires. Consequently, I was late for my appointment, so I am not happy with how they represented themselves in service or timelines.

Dan and Jack and the rest of the team are always honest and professional. I never feel like I’m being gouged when I take my vehicle in for service. I highly recommend this store!

The phone was answered quickly when I called to schedule my appointment. When I walked in for my appointment I was greeted immediately with a smile and asked how they could help me. My service took the amount of time I was told when I scheduled my appointment. Finally, I asked a question about types of oil and Dan took the time to educate me so I felt good about my decision. This was my 1st visit, and I will keep coming back!

Don’t trust them to properly diagnose an issue you can’t figure out. Cost me $800 to have a new alternator put in that I didn’t need and did not fix the problem (13 months after I bought a new alternator from meineke, which is apparently out of the warranty period, and I paid full price for a new battery that was covered under warranty but I didn’t realize until it was too late).After discovering the real problem from another auto shop (a simple Bluetooth power drain in an older Acura TL, which is apparently a common problem), and getting that opinion verified by a second mechanic, my request to have my original alternator returned was ignored. They then lied to Chase & the Missouri Attorney General about what actually happened. Very disappointing.

After great weather then a snow storm, I needed tires. They were packed but somehow got all replaced, mounted and balanced, plus a needed oil change before close of day! Fair prices and just what I needed. Would recommend. They really went the extra mile here.

These folks are rock stars! They repeatedly get our vehicles in and out quickly. They are great about telling you what needs to be done without selling services you dont need. Theyve actually told us, you dont need to have that work done get. Today, they reminded us that our brake pads had a lifetime warranty. We didnt remember, but they did and alerted us. They are trustworthy and that means a lot!

Friendly staff. Dropped my car off the previous evening and it was ready before 10 am.

Took my car in for a basic oil change. Dropped it off at 1:30pm. At 3:00pm, they call me to tell me that they went to take out the oil plug and the threads came with it. So they stripped the plug and then told me they had to replace the entire oil pan as a result. Charged me $550 dollars to replace the oil pan. Many excuses were made as to how this happened, but they took no responsibility. Very disappointing. I will never go back. I will gladly pay more for oil changes from here on out that dont lead to more costly repairs.

Made appointments for two cars to get oil changes. Despite having appointments, still took over two hours. Then, one of my cars started leaking oil. Had to take it to the dealership and after paying labor at $120 an hour found out the the oil filter was not tightened. Stay away. Get better quality and faster service at Walmart.

I went in to have them document my current mileage so I could apply for a low-mileage exemption to the emissions test on my car. The employees were confused about the task. They only needed to read my odometer and give me a piece of paper (called an ID/OD) stating the current mileage of the car. Finally a technician understood what was needed. They pulled my car into the shop, which I thought was odd, and 15 minutes later they presented me with a bill for the ID/OD AND an emissions inspection! When I explained I didn’t need the inspection they still wanted $12 just read the odometer and write it down. The manager, who never came out of the office, said, “That’s the state. They set the fee.” This is not true. The state sets maximum allowed fees. I have spent thousands of dollars at this location over a couple of decades with my older cars. Maybe they have changed ownership, but if this is what passes for competence and customer service, I have no reason to come back. BTW I called the MO Dept of Natural Resources office in south county and they will read your odometer for free.

Awesome first experience at Meineke. I’ve always gone to the one in Imperial growing up before moving out to Ballwin & was met with the same high level of service. Mike, the store manager, was incredibly transparent and knowledgeable. They even took care of some additional maintenance at no additional cost. I look forward to using their service going forward!

I had been going to this shop for years and I really felt taken care of, especially when Tim was a manager there. I never needed extensive repairs but the oil changes were cheap and they seemed pretty honest. Just recently I had a leak inside my car and I obviously needed to get it looked at but I made sure I did plenty of research before going in. I knew the worst case scenario was the heater core but I knew my car was fairly new so that was unlikely. I understood this would be costly due to the labor costs. Anyway, after looking over my car, they instantly came to the conclusion that it was the heater core. They saw that my coolant was low and my defrost was being strange, and my car was leaking on the passenger side..... sure honest assumption at first glance, but I don’t think they really looked into it. Guess what, they quoted me over 3,000 dollars worth of work initially. They of course called me back and claimed they had over charged me on labor so they got it down to about 1800.......anyway I took my car in for a second opinion and it was a 56 dollars fix, a clog and no coolant leak that could have been diagnosed easily. That is insane! I’m sorry after this, I just don’t trust them.

Recently had an issue with my car where the check engine light came on and was running very rough and sometimes stalling in the morning. The guy helping me was great, told me what the check engine light meant and helped me decide what needed to be fixed right now and what could wait. The car runs better than ever! 10/10 for customer service and great work!!!! Helped me get back on the road and didnt take me for a ride.

I waited while my oil and filter were changed.Took about 30 minutes. Recommended that my cabin filter be changed which I did.Very efficient and friendly.

Fantastic experience. Great staff.I called this location on a Friday afternoon and spoke to the store manager, Matt to explain what I needed done (welding). He fit me in an hour later. I showed up and his crew had my car up and my custom exhaust system fixed in 30 minutes. His team is extremely friendly and professional and based on our conversations, you can tell they love cars. Matt more than took care of me. I am thoroughly impressed with the experience and would definitely recommend the shop.

The guy lied to me and said I needed something fixed to pass inspection; went to Dobbs across the street, they said it was completely fine. Enough said--crooks.

I had some exhaust work done here a while back. I was very happy with the results both the manager and the mechanic doing the work were very friendly and professional. They were upfront and honest, They explained all my options. the Manager listen to me and my situation, and together we came up with a fix that both suited my needs and my budget. He was not quick to try and take all my money like so many other shop managers will do. I felt like he really related to my situation. I mean if work needs to be done or if something is unsafe he will tell you. But he isn’t going to BS you to sell you something you don’t need. I would definitely come back and hire this great staff to work on my car again.

This was a disaster. Brought my recently customized 1994 GMC pickup for a new muffler and oil change. They said it would take a couple hours. I finally got my truck back two days later. They broke the interior door latch, but the worst thing... they damaged my really expensive custom paint job. Should have been a simple fix. Now I have a much bigger problem to deal with.

Had appointment at 3. Dropped car off at 255. Stated car will be done with oil change and tire rotation in 45 minutes to an hour. Came back at 55 minutes car was still the same place I dropped it off at nothing was done they told me I could reschedule or wait 20 minutes to get my car on the rack and it would be another 45 minutes to an hour no call nothing. I was really looking forward to rescheduling that appointment maybe they could’ve got it done that day

The guys were really nice and open about all the charges, showed me in person what things they wanted to fix before doing any work. Appreciate their time and work!

I usually hate taking my vehicles to chain stores like this, but had heard they have a in ground alignment rack, which most shops do not. The staff was very friendly and took good care of my car. The manager walked me through the inspection and showed me where I needed a new ball joint, without pressuring me into a decision, they just gave me the information and allowed me to choose what I wanted to do. They also found where I had a small exhaust leak that could be easily patched up. The previous shop I had gone to wanted to charge me $2000 for a whole new exhaust system. Very impressed by their honesty, it felt almost like I had been going there my whole life! Would reconmend!

I stopped by the shop in Ballwin to get a quote on 4 new tires. The representative told me that he was too busy to do a quote at that time. He did not suggest that I leave the information and that he would put together a quote and get back to me. I then went in the next morning, and spoke with a different service advisor. I asked him if he would put together a quote for me for 4 new tires, which he said he would do. I left him all the pertinent information, and left the shop. No one ever bothered to call me back. Now, I ask you, if you were in business, would you just let a $500 job walk out the door..?

The people here were very nice...they gave me a quote a few months ago and when I finally had my muffler fixed the price was lower than what they quoted...I had a ton of questions and they were very happy to answer my questions...They periodically came out and would let you know about how much longer the wait woukd be.I definately will come back for oil change or any other repairs i need in the future
