They are revamping the store and it definitely is nicer to shop in. Still has a way to go. I wish they had more cat food in stock but thats hard to find anywhere nowadays

I enjoy shopping at Stop n Shop because they dont change items around from isle to isle every week and you can find things easily and get your shopping done easily and quickly. Also if you need help finding a particular item just ask and any employee will help you. However I do miss the wandering robot that used to travel all over the store looking for spills or cleanups .

This is the first time, in several years that I had a positive experience shopping at this store location. The cashier was friendly, polite and thorough. A very nice young person bagged my groceries in my own bags. Even the staff at the Starbucks inside this store were friendly, extremely fast and accurate. I was shocked. I wonder if there is new management. I hope they can retain these excellent employees.

Cashiers are super friendly. Rest of the employees are kinda rude. They are currently renovating and it makes a huge difference in the look of the store and the amount of inventory. Cant wait until it is finished.

Convenient parking. Ample handicap parking. Love their customer use bar code scanner. Makes life so easy. Shop , bag it, and quick pay at self serve. They have been good at being supplied with many and varied products through the pandemic.

The shelves and produce always seem empty at this Stop & Shop. The parking lot is always filled with carts and trash and the entrance doesnt even look inviting anymore. Baldwin deserves better. Best thing about this location is the store gun that reads your items while making your selection. If it wasnt for that Id shop at Gala Fresh that has a better selection of items.

Good but crowded before holiday

I am a Baldwin harbor resident over 10 years and I always go to Stop & Shop .I like this store, staff (except this one girl) and everything .But today ( 10/12/2021 around 6.30 pm) first time i had a very bad experience with one of the girl who works at the register (# 11 I guess).She was so rude and yelling at me just because I asked her price correction .She over charged me for one item and I explained to her and she didnt listen.Then I saw Anthony who is working there for many years and he is a very nice person.I asked him to come and help .Then he came and adjusted the price.But this girl kept cursing/yelling at me .Unbelievable customer service .

My fave supermarket to shop. However since the pandemic, they have seriously lacked products such a distilled water, disinfectant wipes and certain spices. They have yet to catch up and replenish.

Gloria is the best cashier ever! She was so polite when ringing me up. We were even able to get a little conversation in. Honestly throughout all my years of going there or any other store at that, I never met a employee as nice as her. Please give Ms Gloria a raise!

It was empty. I only went in for milk, which I got quickly. I also looked for frozen squash which unfortunately they have not had for months.

I love to go to this store i can find all that I need in just one place. And the workers are doing great job 👏👍👌

I bought checked black and white cake from the bakery. Very delicious! Only problem was that no one was there to write Happy Birthday on it. I guessI got there a little too late. Instead, I went to the baking aisle to get candles. Viola! That will do it.

Over all very happy with this store. They have a large variety of items that I love and many times of fruits and veggies like mango and coconut. The prices are very good.

One of the better grocery stores, however, grocery stores are basically a necessary evil. I choose to not abdicate all my shopping to Amazon.

I love coming here. Only place I get my groceries! They always have what I need. They are all nice there and very helpful with the exception of one older lady. However, she seems to be rude to everyone though.

Awful, awful, awful response to Covid. No organization for checkout. No express lanes. They allow full shopping carts on self checkout. Unmanned registers when lines reach 6 deep. Its awful.

My visit to Stop &Shop was less than stellar to put it mildly.... A store full of people doing there Saturday afternoon shopping, and there’s 3 registers open... The so called Self Checkout is a joke as well. Constantly breaking down, people waiting to have an employee come over to help them, a total waste of time! Here we have an employee standing around doing nothing but monitoring the self checkout. This person could be on the register right next to the self checkout helping people get the heck out of there...And then we have the Covid-19 lines!! I understand the need for them, but HOW ABOUT LETTING PEOPLE WHERE THEY ARE? I’m standing at register 11 waiting for the person in front of me to finish up. Not realizing there is a line half a mile long in isle 10 waiting to checkout at isle 11 as well!The employees here seem lackadaisical, and unwilling to help at all, not the kind of attitude I need when I’m having a problem at the self checkout! As for the prices? There nothing special, in fact I’d say there a bit on the pricey side. Selection of meats has always been a joke here. 4 of 5 pieces of meat, chicken and pork,,,, THATS ABOUT IT! Fortunately, I only go in there very infrequently and when I absolutely need something I can’t get elsewhere at the time. After today, I really don’t think I’ll be going back there at all!When Stop & Shop first opened there doors, they were great! Now after some time and being established in the area...... They have become just as bad as Waldbaums that preceded them!

Never have what you want

Everyday items are never fully stocked. The registers should have yhe plastic bag holder at the end removed since they are now in yhe way of bagging yourself. Automated robot is always in the way and very annoying to get around

I came to pick up some sale items. It was very busy today! I purchased cereal, hot and sweet sausage, frozen fruit and some juice. I used the self-service line. I was in and out very quickly! The store was well maintained inside and outside!

Just went to get groceries and the guy who was checking us out did not even greet us! I told him I didn’t want to take 2 items and he just tossed them on the other counter and nothing was said. His attitude was disgusting. Never returning!

Very little stock of food and variety

Good place to shop. Great for quick visits and the staff was friendly. Prices are decent with the rewards card. Store is open and bright. Floors were nice shiny and all the products i needed were on the shelves. I didnt give 5 stars because I overheard the manager giving one of the vendors a hard time. I started to write the corporate office but since i didnt know the details i minded my own business. The store has a nice size parking lot and the carts were in good conditions.

My daughter and I will continue to shop there. We found everything that were looking for.

The supermarket part is fine. The only problem is the recycling machines constantly break and the workers never feel like helping you or always say something about not caring. Get some decent workers who actually care about their job

Organized and they have a nice organic section

I dont like grocery shopping but Stop & Shop takes away that anxiety....well when I go in the morning anyway lol. Their selection of products is vast and when they have sales the inventory of the sale items actually is good enough that youre able to take advantage of the sales going on. There are a few cashiers that are great, one in particular is Sal. He is super friendly, looks out for extra savings for you and is overall just a happy guy which makes the checkout experience even more enjoyable.

Always clean and always neat. Nothing is ever hard to find and if you need help the employees are more than happy to assist. Always a pleasant experience shopping here.

This is our go to store . We do all of our shopping here . Staff is very nice and helpful, if we don’t see something we are looking for they always check the back for us . Sometimes we go in and the meat we are looking for is not out , we ask the butcher and they tell us to give them a few minutes and come out with meat that was getting wrapped . We went in a few months back and Decaf Dunkin’ Donuts coffee was out of stock and the manager gave us a rain check ( because it was the last day of the sale ) and called me 1 day later to let me know it was in.The managers are always on top of what’s going on in the store as well as outside with the shopping carts . There’s plenty of times we went and saw the managers stocking , cleaning with spray/wipes and even sweeping the front of the store . Very clean ,helpful and nice .

Missing the good stuff. They lack certain items that other stores carry...inconvenient considering its Long Beach. Just go to King Kullen.

The deli dept is messy and dirty. Wiping my cold cuts off because the machine was not cleaned correctly. The cheese actually smelled bad too. Not enough registers opened. Come on people. The person in front of me had 30 items at self check out. So not right. Pay some people to actually do some work. Ill shop somewhere else they are willing to pay people to do a job and make the customers life a little easier.

The lack of opened, manned registers late evenings is infuriating. Sometimes none are manned and you are forced to use the very user unfriendly self serve check out. Horrible display of cheapness and arrogance. I hope the Amazon finds a way to properly compete with this Stop & Shop

Just went this morning for senior hours, 6:00-7:30. It was a ridiculous waste of time, nothing on shelves, price gouging and wall to wall people and just a few cashiers. If youre having seniors come out this dam early have the shelves stocked. Shame on you S & S for doing this

Baldwin location never has anything. 3 times i have purchased meat or chicken and it smelled SO BAD to the point you can smell it in another room!!!!! I take the extra 3 minutes and drive to the one in Oceanside. Way better quality

Its ok like any other supermarket.

I don’t like this place at all. Last night I went into the store to return bottles and pick up a couple of things. Well two bottle machines were not working and the ones that worked gave me problems but there was a nice man that worked there and he tried to help me think it’s time for an upgrade. So after having a fun time with the bottle machines I go to courtesy desk and guess what they are closed. Nobody to help you at all. Told to go to a cashier for help. I decided to get the few things that I needed. While shopping there was another customer asking for help and nobody would help her or they had no idea where the product was. Seriously!! This place sucks there are only a few people that work there know what they are doing and that are nice to the customers.

I understand capable workers are hard to find. But putting someone in the bakery department who does not know what a Strawberry ShortCake is blows me away. What’s next a vegan in the deli department? They used a marble pound cake threw some whipped cream icing on it with some fresh strawberries and called it a day. This was for a birthday and it was too late to go elsewhere and we didn’t know until the cake was cut.

A little smaller than other stop and shops but they still carry everything you would expect.Deli and pre-made selections are great. Items on sale are clearly and boldly displayed so you dont miss anything.No mention of staff, never had an issue which is good news

Ok shopping experience. Stock needs to be rotated better. Some items are past expiration. Too many advertised items in circular are not in stock at the location for example Johnsonville Italian sausage, some dairy items, cleaning products.

If you order the fried chicken make sure theres eight pieces in the box when it says eight if you order the chopped chicken liver make sure that its fresh not three days old style of the case when you buy any kinds of potato chips or pretzels or things like that check the dates because they usually are-month-old and if you order any type of meat in the meat cases chicken or meat check how many diapers they put on the Neath the meat because that is the way to the to the food

The store itself gets the stars i would have given 5 but the deli department deserves 0 stars the people are very rude very unprofessional and I have witnessed them make fun of customers I will not shop here any longer such a shame because its by my home but I would rather travel to a place where they deserve my business and appreciate their customers instead of make fun of them

Prices are a little high

Despite being a national chain, this particular Stop n Shop had essentially no selection of vegetarian or vegan items. Even the organic section was tiny, just one half of one row compared to a much larger section at another SnS in the area. Tofu and seitan were hard to find and had very few options. As far as I could tell there were no options for vegan cheese beyond a sandwich slice replacement and no options for other items like mayo, non-dairy ice cream, or salad dressing. I get that stores have to stock based on the area clientele, but this was so overly restricted I cant imagine its reflective of the community. I also wonder how other restricted diets like gluten-free would manage here, but I didnt do an assessment on those options.Beyond the lack of vegetarian/vegan items, I couldnt find ground pork - which again seems odd.
