Got to the spot, waited like 10mins for a lift to become available. Joe educated me on the lift, with 10+ years of experience never worked on lift so he gave me the quick run through which was much appreciated, I was there to do lower control arms and knocked it out and a few other things QUICK. What a great experience love this spot. Gives you the freedom to aim at bigger mods. Joes great and knowledgeable. Good vibes, definitely will be back again.

Our cars AC broke down on a weekend while on a cross country road trip. The AC breaking down in the hottest part of the country (Arizona at the time) in the hottest time of the country (August) is not fun. Did I mention it was the weekend where practically every other place was closed or closes early? This place was open and had good ratings, and after going there I can see why.These guys managed to help us fix the issue super fast as we were on a strict timeline to return with hotels already booked and work obligations waiting for us. Honestly it seemed like a miracle. Between Chance, Miguel, and Joe, all the guys were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional.Their price was more than fair considering how fast they had to work. If I lived in the LA area I would definitely go to them for all auto repair work. Back in NYC now, and AC is still working!

Ive been using Your Dream Garage for about 3 years. Ive always had a good experience here. I had an opportunity to use the new Rosemead garage about 2 weeks ago. They are still in the middle of setting up so it was a bit messy. Nonetheless, its great to be able to rent a lift and all the tools to get the job done. As always, a good experience.

Joe is the MAN!!!!!!!Called to ask if there was room to do some painting on my steering rack before I installed it & he said theres room & it wasnt busy. I was planning to show up early but came really late at 5pm. I first knew Joseph then Chance after the former had to take care of health issues. Really good people. If you want space and control over what you want to do to your vehicle then this is the place to go to. It’s a DIY garage. That said you gotta know your stuff. Otherwise leave it to the pros.

Easy access, loaner tools come with the booth rental.A bit dark sometimes because of the tall ceiling no roof windows, primary light source are the florescent lights on the wall and ceiling, so bring a light that you can set down on the floor so you can see under the car better.

This place is incredible. I’ve now brought all three of my cars here to do work and have had a great experience every time. Disregard any rating lower than 5 stars. They have great equipment and all of the tools necessary to handle everything from an oil change to an engine swap. Lifts (check), power tools (check), air tools (check), WiFi (check), oil canisters (check). Joe is great and super helpful if you run into an issue. Look forward to coming back for many years to come.Update 6.30.21 - Just finished visiting their new location and it is just as good as the previous location. There are four bays (one outside), and all the usual tools. Changed my oil here and was in and out in an hour. Miguel is great and I look forward to working here in the future. Money well spent.

The guys on staff on helpful and knowledgeable. Plenty of good enough tools to get the job done. Very Good prices especially with big packages. Need to get back over there and do some more work. Cant beat a lift when your old and fat and creeping under the jacked up car aint going to happen. Save a ton of money.

I had awesome experience, i wasnt fixing my own car i was helping my fix my friend MB actually. But the stuff was friendly and plenty tools on hand to use on premise.

If you are a novice, do not think to save some money by diy. Experts on the other hand will find everything they need. The garage would have earn a better rating by giving some advice in how to proceed more efficiently instead of watching you ruin your back and use the slowest method so you can pay them more money in time spent. 4 stars for the amenities (A drill was not working properly. Zero for service.

I never had the opportunity to use a lift until now. I need one in my garage. It was great having all of these tools at my disposal. I do wish the torque wrenches were a higher quality brand (Harbor Freight house brand).The guy working here was very helpful and explained how to use any and every tool I needed. He even lent a hand when I got stuck.I love the idea, I love the experience, but it could definitely use a major scrub down. I know with so many people using the place its tough to keep it tidy, but the workstations and general facilities could use a little spring cleaning is all Im saying. The greasy cardboard on the floor, the tool handles, etc. I bet if they offered free garage time a lot of people would be willing to help clean.A little dirt here and there aside, Ill definitely go back when I need a lift.

Gustav and his team are incredibly kind and considerate. As a person who doesn’t know much about cars Gustav took me for a ride in my car to check it out and to get a feel for what needed fixing. He explained everything to me and during the process of fixing it. He would check in with me via text or phone call to make sure I understood what he was doing and the cost. Overall, I could not recommend someone more! Thank you!!

Really like this place. Its so nice to have all the tools you need all in one place without having to look to it. I do all my regular maintenance here and any other smallish project that will take a few hours. Guys there are really knowledgeable and will help when needed. Highly recommended

Great idea brought to reality! If you need to do work on your vehicle, this is the place for DIY guys! Go in with a plan to do your automotive work, bring help if you need it, and you can save a lot of money versus going to a repair shop. Been here for a few years and the only place better would be your place with a car lift and room to work. If you dont have, rent space and time here!

This is the Perfect DIY Garage. I came all the way from Vegas to replace my Control Arms and Ball Joints on my 2003 Mercedes-Benz E500. This shop had everything we needed to complete the work. Joseph was there to assist and was great. Installation was a breeze within 3 hours tops. I will definitely be back next time I need any major repair work. Shots out to Joseph and his staff.

Definitely worth it, saves on my back and feet. Very helpful guy there too if u run into something you are not sure about. There are some signs of missing and broken tools so I always take some of my own just in case. A little dark in there so ask to have shop lights turned on

Can recommend this garage if you really need to use a lift. Otherwise its easier to buy your own instrument to work on your car especially if you need to do service only. There are some small things like oil filters and standard oil for sale. But dont expect that theyll have some spare part that you forget to buy.

Great for newbies and pros. Clean facility, very helpful staff and well-organized tools available at each bay. Was not intimidating to a first timer, and girl, doing her own brake pad replacement. I was left alone enough to figure things out on my own, but staff was always available and friendly when I asked for help.

Excellent DIY shop. The only one in LA that I know of. Very clean and organized. They have everything you need. Use gps to get there because you wont find it just driving around.

Really easy to set an appointment. I was able to do suspension work on my classic car with air tools on a lift in less than a quarter of the time it wouldve taken me to in my own driveway with hand tools and jack stands. $30 an hour to access professional equipment is a hell of a deal!

Outstanding service, helpful advice and great location.

Went to do pads and rotors on 14 Taco. Place opened on Time, was clean and had an excellent layout. Each station whether it it a lift or stall had its own air tools and adapters including both standard and metric sockets. Full sets of bet standard wrenches in both metric and standard, hammers, pliers, sockets. First time check in took 5 minutes, the service rep went over everything very well, including hand tools, air tools, lift, turned on big shop fans... Nitril gloves, and sodas are available for purchase and they are willing to help if you get stuck with something. All in all I was really surprised and enjoyed working here. I will go back.

The Dream Garage is an unmatched DIY car repair shop. Over four years, my son and Ive gone there to work on different cars. The shop is exceptional. It has all the right tools, lots of space to work, and all the bays are equipped with lifts. Every bay has a separate set of tools. But this is not a top-notch facility just because of tools and space.Tools and space you can get by simply paying money. Tools dont breathe life into a DYI mechanic shop where you might or might not know whats going on with your car. Even the best of certified mechanics cant nail the problem sometimes. The confidence to tackle jobs, from small to big in a DIY shop comes from instant access to expertise. So the shop has free Internet access. Brilliant to access YouTube, where almost all car questions are answered. But still, some gaps remain. Whats norm may not be your reality. So they have Joe, an expert master mechanic.Joe knows cars and he has an attitude to help like few you will find. He is professional, personable, and knows when to offer advice, or help. And he goes the extra mile.Last week, in replacing sparkplugs and wires on my sons classic 3rd Gen Pontiac Firebird, we saw Joes goodness in spades. We did everything by the book. Spacing the plugs and mapping the wires, and that is after getting into the impossible to reach GM engineers designed madness that makes it impossible to get to them. Joe saw when we were struggling and came over to help.Then, what mechanics never do, Joe did. He drove the car out and said something was off. The car was not running as smoothly as it should have. We double-checked the wiring and left. On the way, the car stopped in low RPMs at the traffic light and on stop sign intersections. We called Joe. As we explained the issue, the phone dropped. So we carried on in confusion, knowing that this would be something we would need to figure out on our own.Then something happened, and time my jaw dropped. A car mechanic was calling to ensure that the DYI repairs we made were okay? Joe was trying to reach us. He had some suggestions and was making sure that we were in good shape. My son went back and Joe helped him clean the throttle body and also replace the fuel filter and distributor cap. No more stalling at stop signs and traffic lights.This is the excellence of culture all around. Great shop. Spacious and safe to work in, equipped with tools and lifts; all separate and independent in each work bay, and finally, an extraordinary master mechanic who cares for your safety and quality of the repair.

Clean, helpful, and they have everything. We did a clutch job on an 2003 hyundai elantra. Took two of us. While putting the Trans back in, we found a bearing had gone bad on the passenger front side. We call a local parts store (thank God they were open on a Sunday) and got the part when we went out for lunch. Installed it, along with the tranny to finish everything in 6 hours. Glad we made the choice to go here. I would recommend this place to family and friends.PS - as of this post (06/01/2015) the pics above are not of the place. They look like some guys really nice home. Its not that at all. Its just a garage in a small backstreet plaza adjacent to 10fwy.

Keeping the dream alive.This is a great shop with a great staff. Read on for my story and tips.I was in LA for work when the transmission on my 1985 Toyota Tercel SR5 went out on me.I didnt have my tools or a place to do a tranny swap but I did locate a tranny in the area. I got towed in and started late on it. I have never attemped a repair this huge but with the right tools and little help from the staff I got it done. The hourly rate isnt bad but it will ad up on a big job, ask about a VIP package if your doing something that will 6 hours or more because its probably going to take loger than you think. Also know what tools you will need for your specific job and lay them on a cart next to you so you dont waste time going through the huge selection they have. Bring a friend if you can, they can look stuff up, hand you tools... itll save you time.I sweat, bleed and I looked like a homeless man that from a post apocalyptic city when I was done but I did it. I came away with a huge gain in knowledge and confidence and saved it least $500, I would recommend to anyone who can turn a wrench and wants learn something, save money and have some fun. Besides chicks dig a handyman.
