My first time at a bridal shop was not a great experience. I felt like I was literally at supermarket sweep haven been only given an hour to look, pick and try on dresses. The lady assisting me was actually counting down the minutes to my time was up. I didnt go back. My visit to Village Bridal by Omnibus I walked in expecting the same, but that was not the case at all. I can honestly say I was treated with so much love.From the moment I walked through the doors each lady working there greeted me with a huge smile and welcomed me with open arms. I was given so much time to look over the collections they had and Julita was a god-send bringing additional dresses for me to look over and try on. She made me feel so beautiful and comfortable the entire time. Honestly everyone made me, my sister and Grandmother feel like family there, laughing and going above and beyond in service. It was truly my day of celebration with these ladies! I didnt feel pressured to make a decision and had narrowed down to 2 selections. Beside the gorgeous dresses, the atmosphere and all of the ladies, especially Julitas personable and warm character, helped solidify my decision in coming back to look at and retry the 2 dresses I had liked. I said YES to my dress and I couldnt be happier with my decision.Thank you so much for being the loving and caring people that you are, it is really something to be proud of and celebrate. I would highly recommend any bride-to-be to make their first stop at Village Bridal by Omnibus!!!

This place is immaculate. Customer service experience 11/10. Lisa was my stylist and we were blown away by her expertise and recommendations. If you book your appointment here make sure you ask for her. Her atteNtion to detail is unmatched. Everything from the variety of choices to the stage set up when you try on dresses is really professional and makes you feel like a flawless bride.

What an amazing experience!!!! I was SO nervous wedding dress shopping. My friend recommended them to me so I took her suggestion. Julita was beyond wonderful. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She put so much effort into each dress I tried on to make It look the best It could on me. She was patient, friendly & knowledgeable. We went to 1 other place after here that just did not even come close to comparing. I am so pleased with this experience and would highly recommend them & Julita !!!!

I love that this is now owned by the folks at Omnibus. The selection of dresses and accessories are unmatched, and the experienced staff are always the best at knowing what works and accommodating any wishes. I was with a friend who was being fitted for a mother of the groom dress -- she threw the staff a lot of curves and they continued to service with a genuine smile. They really made her feel very special.

Outstanding! On a day my daughter has been dreaming of since childhood, Village Bridal made her dreams come true!! We were greeted with a smile when we walked in, and by the time we walked out we had cried and invited the outstanding employee who spent hours with us to my daughter’s wedding.She was that good. Village Bridal is AMAZING!!! Their selection was absolutely fabulous, and Lisa was THE BEST! They were so accommodating to me and my family while abiding by Covid restrictions. Lisa helped me find my beautiful wedding gown this morning by putting her creative ideas together into something I would’ve never imagined! Honestly I did not have a bad experience at all when I came here. I came right before COVID-19 really blew up in March of 2020. Lisa was helping me and my girls. She took us in right away and helped find the best bridesmaid dresses and was very open and honesty about what fit best for everyone. Even as COVID got worse throughout the months they still answered my calls and made sure I was taken care of. I would recommend and I would go back

I had a wonderful experience shopping at Village Bridal to find my wedding dress! Laura helped me find the dress of my dreams. She was extremely accommodating, patient and lovely! When I went back for my first fitting, the staff was very attentive and answered all of my questions. I have already been recommending this store to my newly engaged friends!

My dress has not come in yet but the shopping and searching part was GREAT. Everyone was so helpful and just made you feel great in general. Their selection is also amazing. It was the 2nd dress I tried on and I knew it was the one. Went back to get on of my bridesmaid dresses and they were amazing that day as well. Highly recommend.

There are so many places on the island that genuinely care about the experience of their customers, but this place is not one of them. I would never return here again. I made an appointment for my sister to try on Maid of Honor dresses for my wedding. Were both teachers, and scheduled an appointment for 11:00 am on our day off. We were so excited! But the bridal attendant was with us for a total of maybe five minutes before she left to attend to another appointment. We were by ourselves for the entire appointment. I was helping put my sister in the dresses, trying to clip them myself so they somewhat resembled what they would look like on her small frame. Someone else walked by saying, do you have questions? ?????? My question is why is there no one here to help us? What was the point of making an appointment? When she did find a dress she semi-liked, no one was there to help with sizing, pricing, etc. We wasted a morning on our day off because now we will need to return somewhere else. When we left the store, we looked for someone to talk to, but no one was there or even noticed we left. I knew not to come here for my wedding dress due to the several negative reviews, but figured that for bridesmaid dresses it would be different. I was wrong. Not only did they lose our business today, but for my other bridesmaids who have yet to purchase their dresses in the future.

Worst service ever. I have been in many wedding parties including my own, but I simply couldnt believe the treatment.Beautiful show room for bridal gowns, cannot take that away from them. Treatment of the groomsmen and bridesmaids please heed my warning and run.Despite taking measurements a month early everyones tuxedos and dresses were the wrong size. Could it be weight fluctuating for 10 people? Sure, maybe, but I know none of us had grown taller yet my pants are 3 inches too long. Plus the room they do fittings for men is in some upstairs office/junk room/attic and they only had one fitting room and one pair of pants for everyone to be fitted in. Which means it takes an hour. This also means that for 6 guys; and who knows how many before us have all gotten to all share a single pair of pants, gross.Keeping it CLASSY!!!Service is rude, and does not take responsibility for the mistakes. Avoid regardless of price.

This is by far the best place to get your wedding dress. Staff was so friendly, helpful, and works to make sure you leave happy. I would recommend this wedding shop to everyone. Thanks for making my dream dress a reality! They called right when my dress came in and Im already schedule to come in for my fitting.

We had a five star experience at Village Bridal. Julissa, (forgive misspelling...) and her staff could not have been more accommodating and made us feel so special every step of the way. We ordered gowns for the Bridal Party, Mother of the Bride and the Bride and everything came in on time and as ordered. Our seamstress, Theresa was an angel whose talent and patience was so greatly appreciated. Nothing was too much to ask of Theresa and she could not have been kinder or more patient. We would definitely recommend Village Bridal to any prospective Bride and her Bridal party for excellence and attention to detail.

Don’t ever go here. I first came here looking for a bridal gown for my wedding. I made an appointment and knew what designers I wanted to see. They were so unorganized and disinterested that they did not even clip the dresses to see what they would look like. I left after trying on two dresses. Went back here for a bridesmaid dress the next year. I told the woman I was newly pregnant and she measured me. Instead of sizing up two sizes as I suggested, she made me go up 4 sizes “just in case” by saying it’s always easier to take in a dress. I should have known they were bullying me to get me to pay more money because once you hit a certain size the price went up. Well the dress came in, it’s insanely large and my taylor can only take it in so much because of how much extra fabric there is. I haven’t seen the finished product yet but it’s not going to look right. They also made me size up so much that the back of the dress is different than advertised. I am warning you these women do not know what they’re doing. Buyer beware!

Very good experience here, the staff was very carrying with the customers...I bought the bride dress from here and they made me all alterations for my dress to look perfect and also they received me in the same day to make new changes. I really recommend for all brides😍

I entered Village Bridal in March with a strict budget. Carol found me a great dress, off the rack, the exact amount of my total budget. I wanted an off-the-shoulder dress and she told me the seamstress could add them no problem! I was very clear to her that I could not be spending a lot of money on alterations, and since the dress needed to be taken in a lot, this was a big concern before purchasing. She affirmed that the alterations had a cap of $295, and I asked her again to be clear the most I will be spending on everything including the added sleeves and ALL alterations will be $295 and she said yes! I was so excited to have a beautiful dress within my budget. Months go by and I had my first fitting October. When asking about the sleeves, they said I had to pay for the fabric, which would be hundreds from Pronovias. I was shocked because I thought the sleeves were already budgeted into my total price. They order the fabric, and when I go to the seamstress to get them added, she tells me that my dress is too low in the back to add sleeves! I had to laugh because I thought it must be a joke. Again, I stressed I only bought the dress to be off-the-shoulder, so she added the sleeves but told me I wont be able to move my arms/dance. Since I already purchased the dress, this is what had to be done, and she was right I cant move my arms. Close to $600 later IN ALTERATIONS, my dress is complete. OVER DOUBLE the amount originally stated, DOUBLE my budget and you could say not exactly my expectations. *The seamstress is very talented and nice, but was not informed. Additionally, the women working at the front desk are very rude and not welcoming.Just letting future brides know.

This store has the best selection of dresses on Long Island. With that said, they know they are good and act as such. You will never receive a call that your dresses arrived or for any reason they are supposed to call you for. Their staff is borderline rude depending on who you are lucky or unlucky enough to work with. The worst is they are extremely unorganized. They loose or misplace everything. When I ordered my dress it was supposed to be white and silver, I received it white and ivory. They refused to fix the issue and tried to convince me that it was ordered correctly. I could show you pictures and I know youll agree with me. Needless to say my dress was not the one I had been dreaming about and that is the worst disappointment when you are so excited to look how you picture yourself to look on the most important day of your life. Overall Id say you can look for your dress there but order it from somewhere else.

I walked in as a bridesmaid and I’m not one who’s really into dresses, the girls here couldn’t have made my visit more comfortable. They told me exactly what you should hear when trying on dresses. I couldn’t be more pleased with the help, knowledge and kindness i got as soon as i walked through the door

Horrible experience, very rude sales womanand they lack customer service. I came from florida and since I was in the area I figured Id stop by to look at dresses. They were so rude and nasty, instead of saying we can accommodate you at this time, she took the dress out of our hands and said she didnt know when Id be able to get an appointment. Not to mention there were rooms open and attendants free. Im glad I didnt waste time here. They seem to have a pretty bad reputation for being rude. Its not what you say but simply how you say it!!! My money will not be spent with anyone that doesnt treasure my experience as a customer.

Nice selection of dresses but unfortunately I was immediately turned off by the personality of the staff member who helped us. She was not very welcoming and was condescending. I tried on 2 dresses and left within 20 minutes. I had a much better experience with Donna at Renatas in Lindenhurst, as well as, with Paige at BayShore Bridal. I gave 2 stars instead of one because the remainder of the staff seemed pleasant. I think we were just unlucky with who we were scheduled with

Just ok. I actually ended up getting my wedding dress from Village Bridal for my September 2016 wedding, but only because I was in love with the dress - NOT because I loved this place. The sales women were actually good, and did a decent job of listening to what I wanted while still showing me some things outside of my comfort zone. However, the tailoring on the dress was atrocious and barely passable for good. I didnt have a choice but to use their tailor due to time constraints (I didnt have time to order the dress and then find someone new once it came in). However, the front was still too long after shortening it twice. The back never sat in the proper place, the chest area fell a bit too high (photos look fine but it was very uncomfortable), and the worst of all was that the custom ordered straps were sewn on so poorly and cheaply, they came apart halfway through my wedding. I literally had to go to the bathroom with 2 bridesmaids and put 14 safety pins in just to keep my strap held on so I could dance at my own wedding. Im so disappointed in this place - if it werent for the tailoring (especially the straps, which were crooked 1 week before my wedding and I think thats why they were so poorly sewn on during the actual wedding), they would have gotten 4 or 5 stars from me. Such a letdown.

My bridesmaid and I stopped in after our Cryotherapy session to look for dresses. Well let me tell you as soon as the door opened this woman was like may I help you with something. I was confused, maybe this place was appointment only. To my amazement it was not. So why were we jumped on like that. We both looked at each like this was crazy. So Diane then followed us through the store. I found it awkward because two other groups walked in and there was no interaction with them. Why did Diane follow us then? Hmmmmmm.... Mind you the dresses were dated and nothing in there was of our taste.

They had some of the rudest customer service I have ever encountered. They never give the customers proper information and then get mad at you for it. Called because my dress was ready asked if I needed an appointment. Got a very rude reply saying I could just come get it whenever. That day when I got there they told I needed cash to take it out of the store, something they did not mention on the phone. They very crude about the miscommunication. They also almost ruined my measurements and almost had me order the wrong size dress. Ruined my whole bridesmaid experience, very disappointed, would not recommend.

NO Stars! This place is a joke. I called 4 times and can NEVER get a same day appointment to see mother of bride dresses. No other bridal shop that Ive been to operates like this. Would buy there EVER. If thats how they treat potential customers how do they treat you once they have your money!

Ordered a bridesmaid dress to find out when i got home none of the employees told us we tried the dress on wrong with the straps. Since im a size 2 and the dress were all 12+ we assumed the straps crossed in the back to find out it crossed in the front making it a completely different dress. When it was time for the fitting even with an appointment i had to wait 30mins or more. Employees at the front desk werent very inviting either. Found them to be rude at times. The last fitting i went to the receptionist had her back facing the front door at the computer shopping for personal home goods and didnt even notice me waiting to be greeted. Asked how long the wait would be and told me she would find out for me but never did, she just continued her online shopping. Will never be coming back to this place that doesnt appreciate my business.
